Hotel Giorgione

Centrally located, comfortable rooms, attentive service all gave a good basis for a great stay. The plunge pool was a wonderful bonus (open until the end of September) and the courtyard was a lovely place to sit and chill.

This is not the hotel to come to if you want up to the minute design, but it is comfortable and functional and the service is lovely.

I thought the breakfast and faciliites were absolutely brilliant. The pool hours were restrictive towards children - a bit too restrictive! I have worked in hotels before and understand and agree with no children during certain hours but the window here was too short. One member of staff didn't seem very welcoming of children but all the others were very warm and wonderful with our young boys.

The staff were extremely competent and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and the location was fantastic. The breakfast garden was lovely and I cannot reccomend this place enough.

The style of the rooms was a bit dated and the rooms were very dark.

The staff, decor, food, and location.

Good service, lovely people, and only a short walk to all the local attractions and restaurants. That said, it's just far enough from the main tourist areas to provide a good level of peace and quiet at all times.

Il y avait des fourmis en quantité dans la chambre, ils ont tout d’abord voulu jouer la mauvaise fois lorsque j’ai signalé le problème en disant d’utiliser un produit nocif et qu’il n’y a pas d’autres solutions pour le premier soir. En revenant une seconde fois à l’accueil tout d’un coup on nous propose une autre chambre, plus grande. Malheureusement un second problème, de l’eau marron / rouge sort de la douche, pas propre ni rassurant. Concernant l’hotel en lui même, un hotel classique de Venise, mais surement pas un 4 étoiles. Concernant le personnel, froid, peu aimable, à l’italienne quoi. Concernant le petit déjeuner, incroyablement ridicule, les avis positifs à ce sujet sont difficiles à comprendre, quel palais avez vous ??? C’est immonde et le choix est dérisoire

I liked the whole hotel except for the room. Breakfast amazing. The pool was perfect.

My room seemed smaller than in the photos on Booking. The bathroom was cramped, and the shower stall was too. The shower doors didn’t close properly, letting water get the bathroom wet. It was the smallest TV I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. For some reason I don’t know, only our window lacked the exterior wooden shutter, so light came in early even with the blackout curtain.

Lovely hotel, air con was a bonus. Close to bars and shops. Breakfast has a nice choice and fresh. Cocktails in the afternoon by rhe spa pool was bice touch.

Breakfast was lovely every morning but you couldnt get a coffee or food after 11 or before breakfast . Mattress was hard in my opinion but overall a nice hotel.

The breakfast was fantastic. The whole hotel has an elegant Venetian charm. We enjoyed gathering in the large lobby and swimming in the charming pool.

I would have liked to have been able to freely use the pool/ hot tub rather than make a reservation for it as I didn’t necessarily know when we’d be at the hotel.

Peacefully Located in Venice.

I booked “Suite with Terrace” but terrace was enclosed with windows so hardly a terrace. On arrival I expressed my concerns but the male receptionist(Ricardo I think) wasn’t very helpful & seemed quite rude. He ignored me the rest of my stay. Also in the shower there isn’t any shelf for soap & shampoo. & the pool wasn’t heated the 2nd day of our stay.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. The location is perfect for exploring. The pool was a god send in the August heat. The staff were truly amazing, they were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

This is a lovely hotel. Well situated from the airport bus stop without too much suitcase stress. Yet perfectly situated for restaurants etc in the area. Hotel was very clean and well looked after. All staff were lovely. Breakfast was as expected. So handy having the pool with the heat. A great stay overall.

Poor appliances in the room, bad toiletries, no coffee machine, small and aging tv. Bad breakfast, no diversity, some things are charged extra (eg. Fresh orange juice for 5€/glass…. Come on in a 500usd/night room you can’t provide a decent breakfast inclusive of orange juice?!). Weird usage rules for accessing the pool (30 min / day / room… only accessible to children from 11 to 2). Cold staff at times (not all), after checkout you’re a nobody, can not access the snooker anymore while waiting for your cab.

Eine Oase mitten in der Stadt. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Pool zur Abwechslung. Gute Lage zwischen zwei Vaporetto Anlegern. Nette Umgebung zum Shoppen und essen.

Wir waren zum 3. Mal da und sehr früh. Das hatte ich vorher alles bekanntgegeben, man wusste nichts. Zimmer erst ab 14 Uhr, klein und dunkel. Ein Frühstück wurde uns auch nicht angeboten, in guten Hotels macht man das so. Pool ist ein Jacuzzi, es dürfen nur acht Personen auf einmal rein. Vorher müssen Slots gebucht werden und man darf nur eine halbe Stunde drin bleiben. Für uns ok, wir wussten das. Viele waren aber verärgert, weil es nirgendwo bei der Buchung angegeben war. Insbesondere Kinder waren enttäuscht, können wir verstehen.

Our room wasn't cleaned the only day we came back very tired from our day out but they did send someone immediately to clean the room but we had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes

Poolen behöver bokas och strikta regler, maximalt 30 min per dag. Särskilda tider för barn. Frukosten inte så varierad. En av medarbetarna övervakade oss för att säkerställa att barnen inte lämnade obevakade i gemensamma utrymmen. Biljardbord i ett för litet rum med flera ömtåliga dekorationer, inte så praktiskt. Städpersonalen gick in i rummet flera gånger trots att vi meddelat att vi inte behövde städning och satt en stör ej skylt

Lovely hotel, the air con in the rooms was needed in the heatwave, Leonardo serving drinks outside, so polite and great worker, only problems for me was the mattress was hard and not comfy for me, no tea or coffee in the room so had to wait till breakfast at 7, after breakfast thiers only drinks from the bar, no food, but ideal place only 18 min walk to the square . Pool is bookings only for half hour and not cold a but warm

Best place we stayed in Italy. Highly recommend this location. The staff went above and beyond. The room was very nice and the view was priceless.

A really good hotel, staff very helpful throughout the day as we had to keep accessing bags with young kids, and the pool is really good (note under 14s have to book a a lot between 11-2pm). Junior suite great for young families and good location not far from the Vaperetto. Straightforward breakfast, but very enjoyable. All round, highly recommended.

The hotel is truly exquisite, boasting a 14th-century aesthetic, authentic and distinctive artwork, and comfortable furnishings in the lobby. The breakfast, while not surpassing the Brazilian standard I am accustomed to, was quite satisfying, featuring fresh fruit, a good selection of bread, homemade cakes, and yogurt. The staff was remarkably helpful and courteous, even when we encountered an issue with our hairdryer. A notable advantage was the air conditioning, which was powerful and individually adjustable. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful retreat from the crowds while remaining conveniently close to the dock and the vaporetto. Furthermore, it was a pleasant 10-minute stroll to San Marco Square for those who enjoy walking.

My primary concern was regarding the bathroom, which I found to be a bit compact. There was no designated space for toiletries, nor were there hooks available for towels. Within the shower stalls, it was necessary to place shampoo and other items on the floor, which could be quite inconvenient, especially for individuals experiencing back pain.

We stayed at this jewel in Venice, and everything was incredible. The hotel is distinctly quaint and traditional, while still offering modern amenities. If you are looking for something ultra-modern and shiny, large tv's etc. this is probably not for you. While not in disrepair by any stretch of the imagination, you will be staying in a genuine period hotel full of traditional character. Our wooden mezzanine and staircase for example creaked, and that was completely fine. As I mentioned previously, this reflects the genuine nature of the restoration, not dilapidation, and for us it only added to the charm and authenticity of the hotel. A few things to point out for international tourists: the pool is small and requires booking. The staff accommodated us, but be aware that access may be limited, and if you're booking this hotel solely for the pool, you may be disappointed. Finally, the service is second to none. All of the staff were knowledgeable, highly professional, and could not do enough for us. I would particularly like to single out Leonardo at the late night bar on Wednesdays and during the afternoon and Albert at breakfast, both whose service, enthusiasm, with practical conversations and suggestions. In sum they were impeccable and an asset to the Hotel. A truly special hotel and a wonderful stay in Venice.

Die Lage war sehr toll, das Zimmer sehr schön aber es hatte zu wenig Ablageflächen im Bad oder überhaupt im Zimmer. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, der Pool ist super, leider war der Herr beim Pool sehr grimmig und was wir vorher nicht wussten, ist, dass der Pool pro Familie nur 30 Minuten pro Tag genutzt werden kann. Wir haben aber den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Personal wirkte etwas hochnäsig, nicht immer sehr freundlich.

We had the most magical stay at the Giorgione. The hotel itself is charming and was perfect for our family. The breakfast was AMAZING and not to be missed. The property is well maintained and interesting to wander around- so much history and art on display. The staff was lovely and accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet with lots of amenities and still centrally located for sightseeing, shopping etc.

This is really a personal preference, the air conditioner was extremely loud and I think maybe we would have preferred to open the windows.

Das Frühstück muss unbedingt verbessert werden. Mehr Abwechslung hätte ich mir gewünscht. Es gab 4 Tage immer das Gleiche. Die Auswahl ist nicht groß. Immer der gleiche Käse und immer die gleiche Wurst. Frisch war das nicht jeden Tag angerichtet. Deckel drauf, ab in die Kühlung, nächsten Tag wieder hingestellt. Das Müsli hat langweilig geschmeckt. Nur Scheibenkäse und kein besonderer Schinken. Roher Schinken und vielleicht mal einen Camembert oder Frischkäse. Kein frisches Obst,nur dieser komische Obstsalat für den Joghurt. Nur Naturjoghurt.Etwas lieblos für ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit diesem Preis pro Nacht. Da ist noch viel Luft nach oben. Für mich und meine Begleitung ist ein gutes Frühstück als Start in den Tag einfach wichtig.

The hotel looked nice, like an old Venetian hotel, the staff from the reception were always nice and friendly. The backyard was nice, and had a pool in the front. The best of the hotel is that it is located in the center, at 400 m from Rialto Bridge.

The elderly man working at the pool bar was arrogant and rude. He seemed to look for any small detail to criticize and constantly felt the need to draw attention to insignificant issues. Unfortunately, his attitude negatively affected my experience at the hotel. Also, the breakfast was the same every morning, with just a few options from where to eat. Something weird (I never encountered this at any other hotel ever) was that we need to make a reservation in order to use the pool and we could only use it for 30 min.

The room we went for was a superior elegance room but I was not convinced that room 307 is . Room looks tired and bathroom small having to tilt head to use the toilet . Furniture worn and dated . Old safes still in use . Breakfast was quite boring and if you wanted fresh orange juice you had to pay for it . Variety was poor !! Overall I feel expensive for what you get . If you want a great location and an average hotel then this is perfect . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone . Only had 2 nights here thankfully as anymore I would of had to change hotels

We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay. The hotel was beautiful very clean & staff were always polite & helpful. The decor is very in keeping with Venice, antique furniture. The pool was such a treat after a day walking around & the complimentary ice tea was a lovely touch. Also drinks were reasonably priced. Breakfast was much better than we expected & the coffee was delicious. Thank you to all the staff & owners for providing a great service. We look forward fo returning again in the future.

Breakfast was excellent! Considering the ferries were on strike the day we were there, we were able to walk where we wanted to go from the hotel.

The bathroom is small but we found that quite common in Italy.

La colazione non adatta a un 4 stelle, pochissima scelta e qualità medio bassa, non me lo aspettavo. Nessuna scelta vegana/vegetariana/senza glutine. Non ci sono i cartellini allergeni. Fortunatamente è pieno di bar vicino all’hotel con ampia scelta, se tornassi non farei di nuovo il prezzo con inclusa colazione!

L’emplacement

Le personnel n’était pas particulièrement avenant, à l’exception de la jeune femme et de sa collègue qui nous ont très bien accueillis et se sont montrées agréables tout au long de notre séjour. Nous avons également rencontré un problème de remontées d’odeurs dans la salle de bains, que nous avons signalé. La première réponse apportée a été que cela était « normal » puisque nous étions à Venise. Compte tenu du prix de la chambre, cette explication ne nous paraît pas acceptable et ne correspond pas au niveau de prestation attendu.

Really enjoyed the stay and so did my group. The hotel preserves old Venetian charme and its staff is mot professional and helpful.
