The breakfast menu had plenty of options from traditonal egss and choice of meat to oatmeal, to french toast.
Weather on Sunday, the day we arrived was stormy so the pool was closed. Staff did a good job of protecting guests by closing the pool as thunder and lightning were close.
Great staff, ambience, food.
Parking could be free.
The grounds are beautiful, flowers, landscape and trees are well tended. You should be proud of the staff as everyone we came in contact with were professional, kind, and eager to help. Again, beautiful resort, inside and out.
We could have used larger or additional pillows. When room service replaces coffee it would be nice for them to also provide clean coffee cups each day.

It was beautifully maintained
We had a water isssue a couple of times but it was resolved
Location
Getting woke up at 2 o’clock in the morning with the alarm said we needed to evacuate went downstairs for not even two minutes. It was told we could go back to our room that there was no emergencies.
Location is great overlooking Table Rock lake and out of the hubbub of Branson, Mo. which can be crowded. However it is close enough to be an easy excursion in to go to shows or other entertainment venues.
Extra charge on most items should be complementary
It was beautiful, a tad dated, fantastic views.Staff was very helpful & even bought us chairs to setup out front of hotel for fireworks!
Fireworks not over the water like we were told it would be
Incredible views. Plenty of outdoor places to sit, whether in the shade or in the sun. We were in a lakefront room that also gives you beautiful sunsets as well. What makes this hotel special are the employees. From the front desk to the valet to the wait staff to the pool staff, they were all highly competent, patient and welcoming. There is no doubt in our minds, we will be returning!
Love the amenities at the Chateau! It's very clean and well-kept. It's a little isolated out on the lake, but beautiful views.
Chateau on the Lake (cotl) deploys shady, although legal, business tactics to squeeze every penny out of their guests. Between the grounds parking fee (in a city an hour away from an airport with no public transit) and the variable “resort fee”, our stay was over 30% more expensive than expected. The amenities were not up to par with what we had paid per night. Cheap, low quality towels, pillows, sheets, and mattress and poor water pressure were among the most notable. Additionally, the food and drink prices are outrageous. Both food and mixed drinks are clearly pre-made, yet priced as if they are craft/artisan products. The spa, however, was very nice. The showers, saunas, and steam rooms were lovely. TLDR: Every cost cutting measure that could’ve been taken, has been at the expense of the guest.
Staff was great and attentive. The meal for our event and facilities and service were top notch. Would recommend and business needing an event this location.
This was a trip for three generations and it was the perfect place for it. Lots to do. Great food. Beautiful scenery. Lots of spots for hanging out together in a big group inside and out. Close to all the fun of the area.
Great resort! Very nice place to stay. Parking can be a lil jammed at night but overall this was an awesome stay. The one and only suggestion that I have is that the spider webs be cleaned regularly on the balcony. We stayed on the 8th floor and at night there were so many spiders and webs out there that you didn’t want to stay out there and sit. If they were managed after each guest left it probably would t be an issue. That’s all great place nice staff great accommodations! 10/10
The chateau is a beautiful hotel inside and out. We were treated very well and would stay again. The rooms inside need a refresh. The furniture and mattresses need to be replaced. Also you are charged for parking here.
The entire stay was far more pleasant and relaxing than anywhere my wife and I have stayed in the past. The hotel itself was beautiful and very well maintained and operated. The view of the lake from our room and the rest of the resort added to the serenity. The staff were very friendly and eager to make our visit a pleasant one. 10/10, I highly recommend! Cost was higher than other places we’ve stayed in the past, but we can say that with some things in life you get what you pay for.
My husband and I went for a weekend getaway for my birthday. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The room was so comfortable very spacious. The bed and bedding was super comfy. The only issue was the TV is kind of small and there was no guide to see what was upcoming. The food we had in the hotel was really good and the staff was very friendly. Definitely will be going back. We paid for partial view of the lake. The balcony is super small and the little bit extra we paid for that view was not worth-it. I would either go for a full Lakeview or no view at all, but very beautiful area.
Fantastic service. If we needed anything they were there quickly! The grounds were clean and the pool and view of the lake were amazing!
The property was beautiful. Customer service was fantastic. We needed to reset and we got one thank you to everyone at the
Very nice views of the lake. The landscaping was very nice on the outside of the building. Waterfall area in the lobby was pretty, other areas in the lobby are nice however chairs & decor are dated. Plug ins for devices limited in the room, lamp outlets not working. Paid parking, pay to use view finder to see the lake, balcony was dirty and moldy with the only view of a dirty rooftop. Line to check in was very long for most of the afternoon. Did not receive the text alerting me that the room was ready, I had to ask 2 times after waiting over 2 hours. Absolutely no coffee available until 7:00! Poolside locked until 8 am. If you are an early riser you are out of luck.
It was a great stay only problem I had was the tv didn't work, I'm a tv person I like to wind down after conferences
Wow! My family and I went to the Chateau for a conference, but we had the time of our lives enjoying the hotel amenities. We rented a boat from the marina with ease and had an unforgettable time. We ha d a lake view room, and waking up every morning to the beauty of God’s creation was awesome. I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK!
Brilliant views of Table Rock Lake! All facilities were really well run.
I am not a fan of pork or bacon and that is the only meat protein available for breakfast. It would be great to have some beef link sausages available for the guests having breakfast. I feel the underground parking is too expensive. Hardly anyone parked there during our stay. We stayed for a week, so the underground parking should be discounted for longer stays at least.
Very friendly and professional personnel on every level. Personal laundry facility should be expanded and maintained.
We’ve been coming to this hotel nearly every year for the last 10 years. Starting about 4 years ago, it has continually gotten worse. For a first time guest, I’m sure it would be great. But I know the level of customer service and comfort that this place used to offer. There was once a playground beside the pool, and one could order food from the cafe inside to be delivered to the pool area; now the playground is removed and replaced by a food truck that doesn’t even take the food order. The food order is taken by a single person that is busy doing other work as well, which means the customer has to track this person down or just wait for her to come back by. The hotel is now completely cashless which is so inconvenient for anyone with cash. It is a sad situation compared to what it once was.
All of the above was a pleasant experience, atmosphere the room, the value and the location was excellent.
Absolutely everything! I was blown away by the exquisite construction building, no expense was spared soundproof walls, soundproof sliding glass doors out to the balcony!! Find dining, luxury decor everywhere the lobby is amazing with waterfalls and little bridges to walk over them and Koi fish and indoor open glass exposed elevators that go all the way to the 10th floor just absolutely beautiful. The staff was very professional and very accommodating. I really enjoyed use of the Spa with all of its amenities . I noticed it was such a safe environment that the children could run around Free and meet other kids and go to a movie theater or enjoy the indoor pool or the outdoor pool and there’s also a food truck that you can order food and awesome drink drinks beside the pool and the staff wait on you and bring it to you.! yeah but they went down there and got the food and bring it to you! If we had a reason to go to Branson again this is absolutely where we would stay hands-down and we highly recommend it to anybody who’s going to Branson if you’d like to feel like you’re being treated like a king!
The pillows were actually too fluffy! But that’s all I can say they might be to another person’s liking just not ours!
Well maintained resort. Great accommodations with plenty of room, great views, amenities and restaurants. We had a wonderful time staying there and will be back!
I like the location, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the hotel.
You have to pay for parking, which I didn’t know until we arrived.
Every staff member was polite and professional. Rooms were nice. A lot of relaxing areas.
Beautiful facility and landscaping. View is wonderful. Will return for sure.
Our stay was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel based on how we were treated. There was an issue involving our dog barking, and instead of working with us to find a reasonable solution, the manager on duty, Kreg, was rude, argumentative, and repeatedly talked over me during our conversation. At no point did he attempt to de-escalate the situation or offer any alternatives. His communication was unprofessional and left us feeling unwelcome. I later spoke with the Assistant General Manager, Brandi, hoping the situation could be resolved. Unfortunately, that conversation was just as disappointing. Rather than listening objectively, she immediately defended her employee and relied on what I felt was speculation rather than the facts of what had occurred. I was left with the impression that my account of the events was being dismissed and that the concerns of other guests were considered more important than ours. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. Because of these interactions, we made the difficult decision to end our stay after only three hours. We no longer felt comfortable remaining at the hotel with the manager on duty being the highest-ranking employee available. Despite leaving almost immediately, the hotel has refused to refund our stay. What makes this especially heartbreaking is that this trip was meant to celebrate my daughter’s Sweet 16 in what looked like a beautiful castle. Instead, what should have been a special family memory became one of the most upsetting hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The property itself may be attractive, but customer service ultimately defines a hotel’s reputation. Based on our experience, we felt disrespected, unheard, and unfairly treated. We will not be returning.
Loved the location with sweeping views of the lake , gorgeous!! The hotel is dated but very cool I think . Staff were very friendly however many did not know answers to basic questions. The pool was clean and refreshing.. the only thing was the music played at the pool .. I love me some Cult , Van Halen … 80’s music , but it was repetitive and still blaring loudly at 10:30 -10:45 at night when I’d rather sit on the balcony with a view and listen to nature ! I came to get out of the noise of the city , too bad the peaceful nighttime creature noises were drowned out by loud music 😩
I had a good time and the stay was nice, but overall, the Chataeu needs to do some updating for the price that they’re still trying to charge people to stay here. Chataeu also needs to fix their phone lines because I spent 3 hours of repeatedly calling them just to try to get someone at the front desk on the phone. I was trying to ask about an early check in. I would call the Chataeu, go through the automated phone prompts, hit the number to speak to the front desk, and it would just ring and ring and ring, and then restart the automated message all over again... I probably called over 50 times over the span of 3 hours, never got anyone from the front desk to answer. I hit prompt 4 for something else, finally got ahold of a woman named Janet who took down my information and said she was going to walk it to the front desk herself and have them call me... STILL, nobody ever called me! This really irritated me before we even arrived at the Chataeu. It should not be THAT hard to get ahold of the front desk. Absolutely ridiculous. When I checked in, the man at the front desk never said anything to me about registering my vehicle with them, nor did he explain how to do it, nor did he tell us there were daily parking fees. I heard another person on the elevator talking about registering their vehicle, and so I had to call down to the front desk myself and ask how to do it… had I not realized that, and my vehicle would have been towed overnight… yeah.. not good. Staff need to be more careful about explaining EVERYTHING at check-in. I used to stay at the Chataeu at least once a year with my family, but this was about 10 years ago, we adored the place. The place IS still nice, but NOT as nice as it used to be; the building and rooms are getting old and slightly worn down (rooms need updating - the closet door in our room looked a little junky, some of the wall outlets were loose; I plugged the hairdryer in and with just slight movement, it was loosing connection with the outlet, the balcony doors are heavy and loud when they are opened/shut, you can hear your neighbors opening/shutting theirs around you; the door leading out to the hallway didn’t block much noise at all and we were by the elevator, could easily hear people talking outside our door, shower curtain seemed used/outdated/dingy). The shower did not get very warm/hot at all. Some of the spots in the room needed to be dusted and cleaned better. There was a pretty decent layer of dust on a couple of things, oddly enough the toilet paper roll holder was one of them. There used to be a hot tub indoors and outdoors. The outdoor one no longer exists, it was filled in with concrete. Our balcony was above the outdoor pool and music was playing fairly loudly any time we stepped out onto the balcony. Even with the inflated price you pay to stay in a room at the Chataeu, you are ALSO charged a $28/day resort fee and $15/day for parking for as many days as you stay there. Sorry, Chataeu On The Lake, but if customers are just parking in the normal exterior, uncovered parking lot… you shouldn’t be charging them for parking! If customers want the covered parking garage, sure, have them pay extra, but charging people to just park in their normal parking lot is ridiculous… The last night/day of our stay, probably at least a couple hundred teenagers piled into the Chataeu to stay, they were having a competition somewhere nearby or something, and all was fine until all of those teens joined the Chataeu WiFi, then all of a sudden our TV started having issues performing and kept pausing/freezing. We did get a complimentary birthday treat sent to the room by room service for my fiance, that was the nicest part of the whole stay. All in all, I will most likely choose somewhere else next time we come to Branson.
Chateau on the Lake was absolutely the best
Beautiful hotel. Great location. Dining experience was top-notch. Would definitely visit again and stay here over any other hotel in Branson.
We had a fabulous experience on our trip! When we checked in, Aubrey at the front desk went above and beyond to get us adjoining rooms! We can’t say enough wonderful things about the customer service! We had stayed here before and have always enjoyed our stay, but everything from the room service, to food service and overall customer care! We were very well taken care of! Highly recommend!!
Loved the room, just enough space for us and being able to let our baby have room to play. We enjoyed what the hotel had to offer, and we loved the fireworks show they did even though we didn’t know that was gonna happen. We had a beautiful view of the lake too.
The room was very nice and spacious. Perfect location for great views of the lake and mountains. Easy access to most places. Lobby is beautiful and easy to navigate. My only couple gripes would have to be that when I ordered the Filet Mignon, it was delivered without a steak knife, just plasticware. Also, the takeout box really deflated its appearance as well. The other issue is the person below us was chain smoking on their balcony every five minutes, especially sunsets, and the sliding doors are loud enough to wake you if they slam it hard enough. Other than those couple things it was a wonderful experience.
My room was a bit dirty, the vacuuming was bad, and there were cobwebs in one corner. The place is beautiful; my husband and I really enjoyed the lake This is our second visit but I was surprised that they are now charging for parking, and I found it a bit expensive!!
We enjoyed the resort amenities and the staff was very accommodating to us when there were issues with our room. Great atmosphere, nice rooms and the on-site restaurants are great!
We had a blast at the Chateau! Everyone was very friendly and helpful!
Loved the massages and had a wonderful evening meal.
The hotel was nice and clean. Had very pretty views of the lake. Hot tub was not working. Hot water to the shower took some finessing to get it to turn warm/hot. Room took a long time to cool down. We did do the couples massage which is a must, we absolutely loved it. All in all except for a few minor things the stay was good.
Great location and views
Room not clean sofa bed very uncomfortably
The views are breath taking but that is all this place has going for it. The rooms need to be updated. The tree in the middle of the atrium needs to be vacuumed to get the thick dust off of it. Our room still had the razors from the previous guest still in our bathroom. When I went to take a shower the water was cold. It finally warmed to luke warm. I will say down in the library restaurant the food and drinks were good. They did have fireworks in front of the hotel that were great. We didnt get to enjoy the outdoor pool because the water was a milky and didnt look clean.
Rooms are extremely tired and dark… have been going there many many years… the hotel overall is “tired”
We loved our stay at Chateau on the Lake! The views are absolutely beautiful, the staff was warm and welcoming, and there were so many fun activities to enjoy—from swimming to outdoor games. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore everything Branson has to offer while still feeling like a peaceful getaway. We’d definitely stay here again!
We’ve been staying at Chateau on the Lake for many years for the July 4th celebration!! This year the fireworks were on July 5th. We loved the DJ by the pool, and Bonnie at the library bar was amazing!! The check-in was on point and the gentleman who brought up our luggage was very informative and kind. I did notice some changes in management and the fact they stopped offering a cook out for the occasion and they got rid of the play center for a food truck with $21 hamburgers!! Also, they no longer have an outside hot tub. The rooms are extremely out dated and need a total overall!! The beds and pillows were not comfortable!! The room did have a refrigerator and HBO!! The fireworks were better than last year!! We loved the show!! I noticed the overall feel of the resort is going for a more casual experience!! The new manager needs some training!! The pool needs more attention on cleaning and maintenance!! The Library bar now offers Happy Hour from 5-7 pm with specials on drinks and food!! The chicken wings were excellent!! Overall we enjoyed our stay!!
Great hotel and loved staying there after finally getting a room with a nice view. But the front desk agreed to waive our resort fees for the 3 days but included them in our bill anyway & I didn’t realize until I got back home Z.
Very comfortable and the property was well maintained
Paying for parking even outside parking
Fireworks and the lake view
The bathroom need a good cleaning ,need a new shower curtain under the sink the base board need clean !!! The hiding glass doors going in and out to the balcony need a cleaning inside and out!!!!!
The room was beautiful comfortable had some minor issues. Fantastic view of the lake & Moonshine Bay. However it didn’t give us the opportunity to see the fireworks from our room which is what were told could happen! So to our rescue came Brenda one of the evening managers & Aubrey front desk staff a lovely woman! She knows how to care for others! She secured outdoor chairs for us as she had her husband bring us chairs; they are awesome team. If not for her my 70 year old husband & I would have had to stand watching his 70th BD fireworks along with our USA 250th BD celebrating. Thank you Aubrey!

Kind of old, but not too bad. Family friendly.
We had a great time. The food and drinks seem very expensive there.
Had a wonderful time. Spa was amazing!
Had a great time! The property and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Impeccable views as well. The staff is attentive and friendly. Onsite food and drinks delicious and room service a nice feature. The pool was nice and big and they had a fun DJ for the holiday weekend. Fireworks were absolutely amazing!!!
Nice hotel and excellent staff. Dinah and Devon were so very helpful! A bit dated in decor and needed info in the room as to what all could be done and what things cost there. Otherwise good visit.
Service was great. Great location.
This is a beautiful hotel, and we enjoyed our stay overall. We did run into an issue with our room when we arrived, but the staff took care of it quickly and made things right. The reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is that the issue should have been caught before check-in.I also noticed that the trash cans in the room had a noticeable buildup of dust and dirt on the outside. It wasn’t a major problem, but in a hotel this nice, I expected every detail to be clean and polished. The property itself is lovely, and I appreciate how promptly the staff responded to our concerns. With a little more attention to housekeeping details, this would easily be a 5-star experience.
We loved that it was close enough to Branson without being in the center of it all. The hotel is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! We had a balcony, lake view room and the view was gorgeous with the pool right under neath it. What really surprised us both was the wonder meal we had at the Chateau Grill. The filet was juicy and so tender. We will ABSOLUTELY be back—this is the ambiance we wanted and got. The rooms are big and we were pleased all around
Elegant with an amazing view of beautiful Table Rock lake.
It’s very over priced, it’s pretty nice furniture etc. but my room smelled like a foot. Our bath towel had stains on it, no service on tv, the bathtub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I could pay $90 at a thousand hills and have a better experience.
Beautiful place and wonderful staff
Love the location and the view
Close but not too close to everything
Pool had lots of kids noise and not really a place to relax around the pool.
Cleanest hotel room that we have ever stayed in. The food at the Chateau Grill was outstanding. We also took advantage of the amenities at the spa including a couples massage. I can finally turn my head without my neck hurting.
We were told we could check-in early but we couldn’t, there was no microwave in the room, and the key card did not work. Our stay was nice and the view was spectacular!
Wonderful views of the lake. It was super charming and relaxing.
Paying for parking.
Very lovely room. Staff was very helpful.
I had a room with a balcony over the pool. I would have preferred to be able to sit quietly on my balcony in the morning. Instead music was playing all day at the pool even when no one was there. Reduced hours of music at the pool would have added to my enjoyment.
The location was very nice! Having the restaurant and coffee shop was a nice addition as well.
It was quite outdated.
Had a bad experience with the Chateau. I was stuck in the elevator for 31 minutes and no one from the front desk answered the phone, so I called 911 and the Branson Fire Department came to rescue me. Housekeeping did not clean our room the last two days we were there & did not change our sheets the entire visit of seven days. We were in a group of 150 people and we heard issues from our friends, especially concerns that no one answered the phone. The Assistant General Manager did not return our calls, and when we talked to her, she was rude and not concerned about our issues or the issues of our group.
I enjoyed my stay, clean room, good service each day, good food in restaurant or bar area, pool, gym, and a lot of things to do in or close to Branson
Beautiful views and excellent customer services.
The lobby and room were absolutely amazing and beautiful! So much to do and see and space. I would say things would be ever more elevated with just some things renovated. Example being the hot water heater and the over all look of the Chateau. It gives 1970s, which is fine but it is a bit outdated. I did wish there was a walkway to the beach as well, the lake is absolutely beautiful.
The location was beautiful! Rooms were very clean! Staff was the friendliest I’ve encountered in a hotel setting.
What a beautiful hotel! My family stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing! They had fireworks the first night which were awesome. The hotel had everything we look for in a hotel- clean, great staff, indoor and outdoor pool and hottub, bar, restaraunt, coffee shop, and very comfortable room. There was also a movie theatre but the weather was perfect so we never used it. The lobby is very whimsical with a large koi pond, waterfalls, trees, and glass elevators. Overall this was an amazing experience in a beautiful hotel.
we didn't eat breakfast
room wasn't ready at 4
Location was beautiful.
No lunch available; outdoor pool wasn't heated; bar not open; outdoor fire pits not working
Beautiful location & pool. Interior is very dated & needs renovated - does not live up to the expectations of pulling up to this beautiful hotel. Carpets are very worn & dirty; furniture & decor very dated; TV in rooms are ancient. Need a bar/grill area outdoors. Really a missed opportunity with this beautiful property.
The mansion on the hill is what I call it. Can be seen everywhere on table rock lake. The room and bed was so comfortable and clean. The view is amazing. The atmosphere is breathtaking and for the money, best place I’ve ever stayed .
I had a disappointing stay at Château on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center in Branson. The food was fantastic, but several basic guest services fell far short of expectations. The beds felt dated and were not comfortable, so we did not sleep well.last night slept on the couch which I’ll say was way more comfortable than the bed. The biggest issue was the lack of support from the hotel staff. Concierge service was essentially nonexistent throughout our stay, and when we tried to order room service, it went straight to voicemail that no one ever checked. The front desk was unable to offer any travel options, and there was no shuttle service available anywhere. We also had transportation problems after a series of Lyft failures and were stranded away from the hotel. Even though we were only about a mile away, concierge would not or could not help us get back. Based on that experience, I would strongly recommend driving or renting a vehicle if you stay here. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, as there was a dirty wash towel left in the bathroom from the prior guest. Coffee was not refilled, and the weekday amenities were not staffed including the inside pool being closed for the visit. Overall, the property has potential, but the service level did not match the setting or the price
Outstanding Staff - from front door - desk and everyone
Nice resort and friendly staff!
Fabulous hotel, scenery and staff!!! Will go back again and again. All the amenities you need
Stayed here for a few nights and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. Check-in was easy, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet, well maintained, and in a convenient location. It was nice to come back to a clean room after a long day. The staff always greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. No complaints at all. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay

Love staying at chateau on the lake. Stayed many times over the years
Very nice stay, comfortable beds, clean, beautiful decor. They do need a small gift shop. Great coffee/sweet shop. View of lake from decks was so relaxing!
This was a beautiful hotel my only complaint is that breakfast is not included. I was here for business and brought my family, i would have loved to grab a quick bite with them before i started my day and they took off to explore. Other than that no real issues to note.
Branson excursion. No microwaves in room . 20 per day to rent. Small things were not maintenanced properly . The second floor bar was nice and food and drinks were good.
It was a great experience! Very clean. Pool and staff were AMAZING! Already planning another stay!
"Great location right above the lake, with easy access to both the lake and the Strip, where all the action is."
Beautiful location near edge of lake
Power outage due to traffic accident, however backup generator wasn’t working properly leading to 4 total outages in 5 hrs. Staff could not guarantee that it would work properly through the night so we had to leave. Staff was unresponsive to the problem declaring it wasn’t their fault.
Check-in was easy. My room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well-maintained and beautiful. The outdoor pool area was attractive. Staff were welcoming and attentive: ~housekeeping checked in with me everyday ~I had difficulty using the parking registration app, (operator error), I had quick and friendly help -on check-out, there was an issue that was handled with patience and professional courtesy. Conference rooms were clean and configured correctly. Conference meal service was efficient and attentive. My only issue was with conference rooms furthest from main area of conference center - losing internet connectivity. I look forward to staying at the Chateau for future conferences. “Know before you go” - the Chateau is a cashless venue.
