Clean hotel with excellent facilities
room was comfortable
The room is large, with a comfortable bed and space to work, sleep and relax. The facility is well located walking distance from the center but in an area which is not too crowded either.
Ibn the bathroom, there is no proper shower but a bath with a shower option (which you find less and less in such hotels nowadays)
Room large, very quiet, excellent gym and pool
Nothing really
Very large rooms and good facilities
Not a lot really. It was just a little cold in the bar and restaurant areas
Very convenient for broad street and easy to park
Rooms very good
Nothing
The Delta Hotel is very conveniently situated in Birmingham. The reception is very good with all staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Everywhere is very welcoming, clean and easy to see. The restaurant and bar areas are great and staff there are also very friendly and helpful. Our go to hotel when visiting Birmingham.
Hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful
Room very hot and unable to open windows

Location
Drinks in the Bar & Food, along with the room that was set aside of the hotel and very nosey. I have been staying with you for the last 7 weeks and was very disappointed. Moving to the village hotel next week.
Room was much larger than expected with a king sized bed. Bathroom also large spotlessly clean. Bottled water was a nice touch. Fluffy bath robes a bonus!
Struggled with getting the TV to work. When it was working it seemd to switch itself off mid program! English breakfast was fine if slightly disappointing temperatures of some things (eg luke warm)
cleanliness
you have to pay for parking
Close to the city
They did not clean the room throughly. When I arrived bath tub was dirty and shower head had pink stuff on it. I had to ask the front desk to clean my room . They didn’t clean good as well
Just the location.
Not much ,carpet smell bad it’s like dungeon house now .
We booked this as we have been there before and had good experience then.
This hotel should rethink of advertising 4 stars, the parking lot is really run down and full of trash and cigarettes in piles in the front of the entrance, the lifts do not work, the breakfast has become really bad, everything is outdated. The toilet not flushing is a big no. Shower barely working as well and leaking after being turned off. The staff never entered to clean the whole time we stayed. We complained and we're told we would get the breakfast for free, still they charged for it despite and then charged extra for no reason. We are still working on getting explanation on the withdrawals done on our card after we left as we paid for everything when we checked out. Not coming back to that hotel again. Which is sad as we had only good experience from our prior stay.
Staff were friendly Breakfast was delicious
The public toilets were dirty and smelly
Very polite and helpful staff , good location , spacious bed room and bathroom ,comfortable bed , air conditioning. On site limited parking £15 for 24 hrs
Close to busy roads , so plenty of noise at night .
Good location and comfortable room with nice bathroom
We had to pay extra for car parking, £15 per night which could have been included for residents. The breakfast was average, no à la carte options such as omelettes, and the coffee machine did not give very good coffee at all. Food was average although the staff were very helpful.
The room was spacious, the beds are comfortable, the location is very good!
The bathroom needs refreshing as well as the whole building.
Newly decorated, spacious room. Really comfy bed. Nice breakfast.
Coffee at breakfasts was the only thing that needs improving!
The air conditioning didn’t work
Frukosten var bra. Det var perfekt att få frukt också. Att kunna besöka gym och pool var bra. Rummen var stora och bra.Tysta rum.

Extremely clean and welcoming. Room was really comfortable and staff are great.
Rooms maybe a little dated but didn't stop us having a great stay
Staff on desk terrible. Had guide dog and stated on web site free. Lady did not believe me. Was rude and challenging. Whole family austistic made us all upset. Man desk charged me twice. Spoke manager did not care very dismissive. Swimming pool. Daughter had allergic reaction after tablets put water while in it. Marriot breaking law with my service dog very unwelcoming after 4 hour drive all family overloaded. Never stay here again..Dust rooms and people see you in the room and bathroom opposite. Never been treated so badly.
Spacious rooms- handy location-very quiet- parking on site
A/c not working in lounge of suite. No bathroom fan/ventilation, sofa bed uncomfortable
A lovely large room with a sofa which was lovely.
The shower over the bath was a bit awkward.
Reception team are ace , specially night shift Mr Benjiiii House keeping team also great... Bar team are excellent too...
Parking app and fees... Exteremely confusing
Location of hotel. Size of the room, size of the bed - comfortable. Helpful staff
Parking app not simple!
Not enough staff and small portions on buffet so had to wait for one staff to refill and do drinks, too much for one or two people with busy weekend
The parking was £15 overnight and the hotel already expensive. The disabled lift wasn’t working and caused wheelchair user to have to go through the kitchen to enter hotel however staff did their best to compromise and gave us longer checkout and free parking which was accepted and appreciated for the inconvenience.
Reception staff lovely, room big and air-conditioned, cleaning staff excellent and accommodating
Reception didn’t know opening hours for children to use the swimming pool, leading to disappointed children. Pool run by outside company but available for free use by guests despite being within hotel building. Had quite limited hours for children.
Location was perfect for where we needed to go
Parking spaces were tight, big 4 x 4 cars taking up lots of room and cant park between the lines
Lovely comfortable and generously sized room. Cosy bed with good linen and pillows. Nice, well stocked bathroom and a decent TV and coffee machine
It may well have been timing but buffet breakfast was “so so” - seemed to have been refreshed just after I grabbed mine but no butter, no eggs, a couple of scraps of bacon and a mushy bottom of the barrel hash brown when I went to grab mine. What I ate was well cooked and warm, but similar standard hotels in the area hold up better at what is quite a premium price.
The location was great and I liked the charm of an older hotel . Staff were friendly and rooms were very big
The beds were hard , room service trays were being left in the corridor for a long period ( not ours) . They were cleared when notified reception.
Excellent

After being let down by another hotel in Birmingham, we booked here last minute. The rates were very reasonable for a Marriott, and it has on site parking, which for the centre of Birmingham is novel. There was a small fee for parking, but not a bit issue. The check in was easy and reception staff nice and friendly. The foyer is art deco mahogany paneling, and very nice, it has a lot of character. The room was a little dated, but still nice, clean, and had everything we needed. We were right next to a main dual carriageway and a busy city centre roundabout, but the soundproofing was good and we never heard a thing. Large comfortable bed, good air-conditioning and well ventilated. We'd definitely stay here again.
Our three-night stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Birmingham was simply exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel’s location is perfect, right in the heart of Birmingham, making it an ideal choice whether you’re visiting for business or exploring the city. Many attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas are within easy walking distance. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to help created a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The level of hospitality was truly outstanding. Our room was immaculate, modern, and very well maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were perfect we enjoyed a peaceful and restful sleep every night. It was exactly what we needed after busy days in the city. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Everything was well presented, and the service in the restaurant was just as impressive as the rest of the hotel. What made this stay truly memorable was the consistently exceptional service. Every interaction with the hotel team was pleasant, and they genuinely cared about ensuring guests had a wonderful experience. My husband, my friend, and I had an amazing three days here, and we created wonderful memories that we will always cherish. As an official reviewer on both TripAdvisor and Google, I stay at many hotels and pay close attention to the overall guest experience. Delta Hotels by Marriott Birmingham exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Birmingham, whether for business or leisure. We will definitely be back on our next visit. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special! Rohini ♥️
I recently stayed at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Birmingham from Friday through Monday, travelling from the Netherlands, and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, every single member of staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Whether it was the reception team, the restaurant, or the bar staff, everyone was consistently warm, professional, and friendly 🤗 The rooms are spacious, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the bed… wow! I honestly had some of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. I especially loved that there was a choice of different pillow sizes, so I could pick the one that suited me best. The bathroom was just as impressive. The shower was hot within seconds and had great water pressure, and there was a lovely bathtub to unwind in after a busy day. I also really appreciated having a proper hairdryer and an iron with an ironing board in the room. These little things make a big difference when you’re travelling, and they’re not something I find in every hotel. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a nice variety of continental breakfast items as well as a delicious Full English Breakfast. You can even have eggs freshly cooked exactly the way you like them. Dinner was equally impressive. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the flavours were absolutely spot on. Another highlight was the hotel’s fantastic leisure facilities. The 24/7 gym is well equipped, which made it easy to fit in a workout whenever it suited me. After a busy day, it was wonderful to relax in the spa and enjoy the heated swimming pool. The location is another huge advantage. The hotel is surrounded by a lovely coffee shop, a supermarket, and convenient stores for phone and shoe repairs. Birmingham’s shopping centre and many fantastic restaurants and bars are only a five-minute walk away. And for the ladies: there’s an amazing skin clinic right across the street! Overall, this was a true five-star experience for me. I will definitely be staying here again whenever I’m back in Birmingham. Highly recommended!
Good place to stay - room great and bathroom good. Air conditioning not option as advertised but gave us discount.
Lack of air conditioning
Location for Edgbaston Stadium
The Bar did not have much choice, and it shut at 23:00 very poor for a 4 star hotel, maybe use the Park next year if it has a later Bar.
Bell'hotel, posizione centrale, stanza molto spaziosa, pulita e silenziosa. Personale molto cordiale.
Purtroppo la colazione non è compresa nel prezzo
Lovely hotel, staff great
Nothing all good
Location
No draught beer Parking £15.40 ( really )
Room location
Bar closed before 11 on a Saturday night??
Everything is perfectly fine with no complaints
None
Great location. Staff all very friendly and polite
Nothing
Great location, close to many restaurants around Broad Street, Brindley place at walking distance. Room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
Nice hotel, onsite parking, staff very friendly, gym and pool facilities are a great bonus.
Only 1 small thing that no plugs near the bed for charging phone.
The location of the hotel was perfect for my purposes and free car parking appreciated by my friends. It was lovely to see trees on the property in such a built up area. The staff were efficient but not much rapport which was a shame.
The room was at the top of the building at the end of a corridor…why are women on their own given these rooms…it has happened often? None functioning air con or flush toilet. Was moved to a far superior first floor room
Lovely cold air-conditioning and comfortable beds. Great location. Walking distance to all
Breakfast could of had a few more options
Clean and well presented
Was told their was air conditioning in the room, this was untrue
Location near canals on good bus route for Edgbaston Stadium. Really helpful reception staff.
Mattress in room not brilliant. Swimming pool small
Location and being able to get two double beds in one room
Better hoover under bed needed.
Location
The room not being cleaned for 2 days. Temperature control was not responsive. And when booking no mention of car parking fees.
Spacious nice decor
Windows didn’t open and air con not working although we were given a fan and complimentary and breakfast
Spacious room with mini fridge and tv, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. Love the art deco feel of the place. Swimming pool and spa now open after a 5 year closure.
Always having to ask for the seat cushions to be brought out to the outside terrace each evening, this was also the case when we stayed last year.
Habitación fabulosa con todos los detalles
Spacious deluxe room and clean en suite Clean carpets, comfortable beds
No Aircon, Not enough lights to see inside cupboards Totally unclean on the outside surface of the building or the entrance stairs.
Only good thing was the room being spacious
Arrived early (around 20mins) and had to wait until 3pm to check in (other hotels would have rooms available if arrived early). Checked in etc and when entered the room, had to scan a QR code to work the AC. It took 6hrs for the room to cool down. Had to call the reception and someone came. Offered a fan but wasn't given this? Not ideal when it's really hot outside. The bathroom is very old and tired. In need of a revamp. The blind was broken and no ventilation. The shower head was a standard one. Not detachable. During the evening, 2 flies came to visit our room and were hovering around.
Comfortable but dated in some highly inconvenient ways. No power point near the bed, not even the “unplug the bedside lamp” option for phone charging. Old style USB no use to anyone
We had a mixed stay overall. The room itself was nice and looked good, and although we had seen some reviews mentioning the mattresses, we actually found them comfortable. The main letdowns were the shower and breakfast. The shower pressure was quite low and the water never really got hot. The breakfast was also disappointing. There weren’t many options, the food wasn’t topped up quickly, and we even noticed flies around the ham and cheese which was very off-putting. The air conditioning was great though, especially as we stayed during the heatwave. It made a big difference and definitely helped improve our stay. The customer service was okay, but given this is a Marriott we feel like it should be top tier and there was just something missing. The location is decent. The hotel is right on a big roundabout, but we didn’t have any issues with noise and it was easy enough to get Ubers and travel around. There was plenty of parking when we stayed in June, but it costs £15 per day. Personally, I think parking should be included for hotel guests considering the price of the stay. We didn’t use the pool or spa facilities, so we can’t comment on those. Overall, the hotel has potential and the room and air conditioning were positives, but the breakfast, shower, and customer service let it down.
Lovely building, Amazing room featuring lots of windows, huge bathroom, comfortable bed, good TV sofa & fridge. Wish knew about swimming pool as would’ve brought swimwear Great breakfast.
Someone from the gym sales team called me after I enquired about the promotion they have/had for the new gym, the kid was rude, obnoxious and had no customer service skills, the call lasted less than a minute because I couldn’t speak to such a person!
The hotel is in a really good location and staff are very nice and the standard was really good just a shame the pool wasn't open yet
The room was lovely. The hotel is very well located for Edgbaston cricket ground ( our reason for staying) and Broad Street for restaurants/bars etc. The tram line makes it easy to get to from New Street Station
Could do with more mains sockets, better still with USB charging points. We had no obvious sockets and only one bedside lamp had a USB charging point
Clean property - good location.
The cost cutting measures were too obvious. One mini wrapped chocolate coin for two guests, one small pack of water for two guests, tiniest of biscuits. A notice saying ‘room service is on alternate days’. You don’t expect these in a hotel with the Marriot Brand attached to it. Staff shortage noticeable everywhere. One person at a busy front desk - two members of staff running to manage the busy breakfast time. I have stayed in multiple Marriot properties across two different continents - this was the most forgettable stay of my life.
Room and service
None
We were heading to Edgbaston for the cricket which is walkable in 30-45 minutes but we got an Uber. It is also really well placed for the city too. The room exceeded our expectations, it was bigger and having that bit more space is always nice, and the bathroom was excellent too. We are heading back to Birmingham later in the year, we'll look to stay again.
Only one chocolate and one bottle of water in the room seemed a little sparse - lovely touches could have gone just little bit further - a small point only!
Team is amazing, room service team, reception team and overall experince... Benjamin at night shift is amazing... Room service lady was amazing...
Air cons, windows and parking fees...
Beautiful building. Great facilities. Lovely staff.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great!
Clean, well presented and great location
Nothing all good
Room
Parking charge
The bathrooms were old and the ceilings were peeling and the grout was mouldy. The windows were condensated and mildew
Premium quality hotel. Superior king room was great. Bit hot in heatwave, but aircon eventually controlled climate. Excellent service and manner from restaurant manager at breakfast. Great asset to your hotel service and reputation.
Breakfast buffet was a bit average, plain. Ok taste, and excellent service and manner from restaurant manager. I compare to breakfast spreads at Marriott’s in US, Asia, and Moscow (before the wars).
Breakfast was fine, not many vegetarian options
No daily cleaning, having to pay extra for parking, no sauna or jacuzzi
It was right in the centre of town and close to all bars and shops
Nothing
Staff, location, pleasant stay, space
More variety in breakfast
The bed and breakfast
The lift wasn't working from the first floor
Clean, spacious & comfortable room, excellent bed, friendly reception team & good bar service (notably better than previous visits!)
HVAC wasn't functional, open window meant more traffic / siren noise than ideal
Very nice hotel with excellent facilities.
nothing to report
The room was perfect and the staff were nice and polite they explained everything clearly in regards to hotel 👌
Room was abit delayed didn't check in till 4 was offered a complimentary drink and late check out which was nice however asked bartender to add a splash of coke to a paid for drink which he ignored and charged me for anyway and also.didnt use the late checkout the swimming pool was out of service and the breakfast werent the best
Big spacious rooms and a fabulous breakfast
No draught bitters in the bar.
It was great for what we needed, and some lovely little touches too. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was huge!
The only downside was the pillows were very soft - will ask for firmer ones next time.
Very nice place to stay staff very friendly and helpful
Water bottles should be put in the rooms. The elevator button needs fixing.
No free drinking water in the room, one had to go to the ground floor to get some water from the water dispenser.
Bad breakfast. Coldish food on cold plates. Dreadful supermarket sliced bread. Poor continental meats and cheeses.
Hot plates!!!@@@@
Posizione comoda al centro ,ottima colazione e varia .
La nostra stanza aveva un problema con il WC che non caricava l’acqua e con la ventola di ricircolo del bagno che presumo funzionasse male .
Clean. Good location
Paying for parking
The location was good, very clean very nice staff
Everything was good
Great location with 15 min walk to the arena . Well appointed room .
The only strange bit was at Breakfast it was possible to have poached eggs and omelettes cooked for you but the waiter tried to discourage it- we only found out because others had it and when we asked for it we are told in a brusque voice that it would be a long wait . Given the cost of this hotel I was surprised.
