My second stay was much better than the first. Hotel slippers and a robe in each room would be really appreciated.

Great breakfast selection. Rooms were comfortable, on the smaller side but perfectly fine for a couple and baby in a cot. Staff were very helpful

Car park is very tight to drive around and expensive. There's a nearby car park that's much cheaper to use

The cleaning, waiting and general staff around the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

I booked an executive double, as did my friend. We arrived a little before our check-in time and only one room was available so my friend checked in early and i said I'd do it when we returned from lunch. When we got back i was told I had been 'upgraded' to a family room because there were no executive doubles left (despite me booking one, weeks in advance). I got to my room and did not feel it was an upgrade, it was bigger than my friend's room but not more comfortable. the Bed was smaller and softer (they kept telling us this could not be the case as all the beds were the same, but we saw both rooms and agreed the beds were different so it just felt like gaslighting to be told there was no difference when there clearly was.) Eventually they offered me an accessible executive double instead, which i also didn't want. Then they offered me another room which they said had been "blocked" (the implication was it was for another guest) but should have been the same the quality as the room i booked. It was battered and horrible - my suspicion was that it had been 'blocked' because it was not of a high enough quality to sell. In the end, i took the family room as the other options were worse, but the fact remains i should have received the room i booked and paid for. I don't expect a hotel like the Park Regis to be perfect, I stay in a lot of hotels and there are flaws i can accept depending on the standard of the hotel booked, but i think what really irked my about this stay was the disingenuous way in which the staff tried to resolve the problem of having overbooked executive doubles. In my opinion, I should have received the room I paid for, have been compensated for the fact I was not, or been put in a higher standard of room at the hotel's expense.

everything went well for me personally but not for my friend. My bed was extremely confirmable, communication was fast and clear.

My friend was 'upgraded' from a executive double room (as they were only accessible rooms remaining), however upon exception the room was very poor. The mattress was virtually none existent, the springs digging in and uneven along with no support whatsoever. We went back to reception to resolve the issue and she was offered a 'blocked' room which was even worse than the family room. The matresses looked old, past their best use and needed to be replaced. I felt for her as she had this night booked away to get a good nights sleep and it became a problem the receptoion team couldn't resolve. They said all the beds were the same in the whole hotel...which they weren't as the bed I had was actually lovely and a super king. Not a double..

Disappointed by the fact that none of the terrestrial channels did not work in the tv. I had very limited choices to watch which were QVC and some old America show from the 70s! This is a shame as I’d specifically booked this hotel to have a relaxing early night before an important business meeting the next day!

The room was well appointed, with a more luxury feel in the bedding and bathroom fittings. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very quiet even though the hotel is right on a major road junction.

It really annoys me that breakfast is no longer included as standard. (Not just this hotel)

I’d say the room service was diabolical. Not worth the money of how much each item was. Spent £30 on dinner. And it was horrible and then the breakfast in the morning was like £30 as well and it was the saddest pancakes that I had ever seen. Like I could’ve gone down the road and got them for £5.

The location and the initial appearance of the hotel were good, and Guest Relations did listen to our concerns and tried to assist. However, unfortunately, the serious cleanliness issues and the way the problems were handled significantly affected what should have been a special anniversary stay.

The stay was extremely disappointing, particularly as this was meant to be a special anniversary trip. We found what appeared to be blood stains on the bedsheets, as well as dirty skin/debris underneath the duvet. When we requested clean bedding, we were simply given replacement sheets and told to put them on ourselves. We also had problems with the shower. When we requested a room change on the first night, we were told the hotel was fully booked, and we were informed that no maintenance was available because it was Sunday. Despite placing the housekeeping sign on our door at around 9:30am, when we returned at approximately 5pm the room had still not been cleaned and the blood-stained bedding was still there. We had to repeatedly contact reception before the Duty Manager eventually arranged for housekeeping to attend. Overall, we spent far too much of our anniversary stay reporting problems and chasing staff instead of being able to relax and enjoy our time away. The hotel's response afterwards was also disappointing, particularly as they incorrectly stated that we declined a room change and offered only a discount on a future stay rather than properly addressing what happened.

The environment, spacious room, wide range of breakfast provided and the courteous and polite staff. The hotel is clean, and welcoming.

The air conditioning did not work throughout my stay, and the room was too warm. I called reception about three times, but nothing could be done to fix the AC till I left.

All the staff were lovely, but one of the receptionist Valerie was the best! I had a few problems which she resolved so quickly and she was the sweetest.

This hotel has changed alot over the years. It seems as though its ownership has changed alot in recent years. No discount in parking offered, no upgrades in room, staff are basic and not really willing to help. Disturbance from housekeeping several times in the morning despite a late checkout. Overall poor and disappointing.

Poor cleanliness, staff members causing disturbance and continuous harassment to check out despite extending stay. Poor communication amongst staff to relay this information on. Poor quality mattress. Beds uncomfortable, poor quality shower - no power in shower. And rude housekeeping staff. No discount ij parking offered by front of house staff. Overall poor.

The hotel is conveniently located, and its interior facilities are relatively new.

We stay here every time we travel for business. However, on this occasion, the mattress in my room made strange noises, and there were no bathrobes and slippers! The other room we booked did not have these issues.

Unfortunately there wasn't much choice with the tv channels. The tv wasn't a smart tv so I could link anything from my phone.

Three of the lifts were broken everybody was waiting for the same life in a large busy hotel and the breakfast wasn’t good, the black pudding was rock hard and look like yesterday’s other days before and there were no fried eggs just felt very packaged

The parking facilities. Absolutely extortionate pricing. Just over 48hrs… £70! There are cheaper parking facilities near by which I wish I had used.

The room was not thoroughly cleaned. Hair was found in the drain, poor drainage and there was a mini flood in the bathroom; we used towels to absorb the water. A hair clip was left on the chair by the cleaning staff. Additionally, a French manicure nail was left on the carpet. There were red and pink stain patches on the carpet. This situation made me feel very uncomfortable about the room's cleanliness. We checked in, went sightseeing, and had dinner with friends, so by the time we returned late, it was too late to assess the cleaning standards.

Could constantly hear pipes being drained from the room, quite disturbing throughout the night and following morning. We had a coffee machine but no coffee cups to drink from? And the shower drain was blocked so the shower kept overflowing after a few seconds

The receptionists especially Alex made our stay very special, we spent two nights here and when the air on didn’t work in one room they quickly sorted us out!

I waited more than an hour to check in; they were so careless. And while I was checking out, the checkout time was 11. I requested a half hour; they didn't even accept 15 minutes. The receptionist told me, "If you don't leave the room exactly by 11, someone will come and knock on the door."

The staff were unwelcoming and i was not given the type of room i booked despite the hotel not appearing busy.The car park was expensive and inconvenient. I would choose the Leonardo nearby over this hotel since it does not have the above issues and is slightly better located with cheaper and more convenientr (although less spacious) parking.

It stank of bleach- no one answers reception and we were only there for one night so countless be asked with the faff of going down many floors to change rooms.

Thé elevator was broken there was no prior warning before getting to the hotel about this inconvenience. I had a large heavy suitcase with me which I had to drag round the other side of the hotel. Upon checking out I had help from the staff members which made a big difference, thank you ounce again Alex and the other staff lady( sorry I forgot your name).

Adgangen til hotellet var ret ulogisk. Google Maps viser vej til en indgang, som der korrekt ud, men elevatorerne virker ikke og receptionen er på 3. sal. Man skal derfor ud af bygningen og over på "bagsiden" for at finde en indgang, hvor der er en brugbar elevator. Maden i restauranten var ok - men ikke på nogen måde fantastisk. Parkering koster ekstra

I liked the location close to a few places

The fact that we had no air con and they didn’t tell us that. In a heatwave that room was unbearably hot and it ruined the evening for me A small fan didn’t do any justice and was pointless

I booked a deluxe double room and was provided with a twin room 2 single beds with non working air conditioning. Staff said they couldn’t do anything as the hotel was fully booked and argued the twin room was a deluxe double.

Het hotel is dicht bij het centrum.

Omdat we via booking.com hadden geboekt kregen we een kleinere kamer en was het ontbijt niet bij de prijs inbegrepen. Dat werd ons duidelijk en vriendelijk verteld, maar kwam toch niet sympathiek over. De kamer op de foto had duidelijk een breder bed en groter raam.
