Everything was better than expected. The staff was friendly. The restaurant staff was friendly. It was an amazing experience.
I can’t really think of anything. I didn’t like it was a really good experience. I would definitely recommend you to all my friends
It was a nice hotel
The room with the window view was not what the listing was, and there was stains on the bedsheets
Location, cleanliness
Parking
We actually didn’t get to stay at this location because of a maintenance problem. I do want to say though that the staff took care of everything for us. They located us into a really nice hotel and took care of everything. Things happen but they handled it way beyond our expectations. Thanks to the staff

The property was within 10 minutes or less of all our destinations
The property was clean, nice and comfortable
Location is right on the river and close to downtown attractions
Beware of extra charges on your credit card. I was charged for the room and the “free” breakfast in addition to the fees I paid to booking.com. Took over a month to reach the front desk to get the charges addressed.
Everything
Zero complaints
Yes
hotel and conference rooms were nice. Room was quiet overnight and beds were comfortable. Elevators were quick. Airport shuttle service was easy to use.
The entire experience and the friendliness.
Clean
It was a nice hotel, but there were many details that just made it just as bad/good as a cheap hotel. Of course everything on the outside and even at first glance was fancy and great, but just little details were missed. Bathroom sink that gurgled when draining; no cold water in the bathroom sink; brown ...stuff... on the ceiling above the main room door; and hard to find information on room service. The kids had fun at the pool which was very nice. But the bathrooms are outside the locked door. So it required badging in everytime they needed to use the bathroom and trapsed water in the main hallway. Having the restaurant in the building was nice, but the prices are so expensive for what we got. Just feeding the family was beyond what I was expecting. It wasn't fancy dining either.
We love the Hyatt, fireworks on the river for the Fourth of July was awesome.should have a band though some music
For the price we pay we should get free breakfast included other hotels do free breakfast
Horrific Service & Safety Hazards – Avoid This Property I am sharing a warning regarding severe health hazards, gross management negligence, and structural defects during a recent corporate stay. Biohazard Conditions: The air vents consistently blew a strong mold/mildew odor during peak summer heat, and the room's tap water possessed a distinct sewage smell. Maintenance Condemnation: Hotel technicians officially inspected the room and explicitly stated it was unsafe for occupancy, noting the bathroom floor needed to be ripped up. Management was immediately notified. Management Obstruction & Deception: Despite the safety warning, the manager resisted moving me for hours. She falsely claimed zero availability, hiding behind rigid room block allocation rules, only to "magically" move me to the room next door hours later. Bad Faith Misrepresentation: I overheard the manager on the phone falsely claiming I "just didn't want to wait for maintenance," entirely omitting that her own team condemned the room as a health hazard. I had to involve my company's corporate leadership to force the room transfer. Room Defects & Sleep Deprivation: The refrigerator was broken (causing food to spoil), and the automated bed lights malfunctioned all night, creating a flashing strobe effect. Extreme Delays: After being awake for over 17 hours, I was forced to wait an extra hour for a new room key that I was promised would take 5 minutes. The manager’s demeanor remained dismissive and hostile throughout. The two maintenance individuals were highly professional and pleasant, but management completely disregarded their safety assessment. As an avid corporate traveler who stays across an array of hospitality brands, this is an absolute failure of basic safety and service standards. Avoid this property.
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, but glass door showers in the bathrooms leak onto the bathroom floor and the free airport shuttle scheduling is inconsistent.
Rooms are very nice - clean, comfortable with excellent showers and HVAC. I enjoyed my 2 night stay there. Elevators are really fast and great coffee at the shop in lobby. Good workout room too
What a great place to attend a conference. The accommodations are situated in such a large space it was easy to find the sized space you need. It is also very simple to navigate your way around as well. Being downtown, you are not far from Wichita attractions.
Amenities were excellent and available. Housekeeping was very thorough. Dining was varied and reasonably priced. Had no issues with noise. Shuttle to airport was appreciated.
Stay was fine. Too many kids in the hot tub to enjoy. No complementary water or coffee. Not thanked for being a member or told about breakfast.
Location is easy to get to. Clean, elegant hotel with comfortable beds, nightlights in bottom of bed and bathroom vanity, good restaurant and bar, good coffee shop, easy access to parking garage for self parking or valet.
I experienced nothing but kindness from Kayla at the front desk during check in and beyond! Added experience being very helpful was Mr Carlos going out of his way to help me out in time of need. These 2 definitely made me want to stay here again!
when waiting downstatirs and having breakfast an employee was very nice to us - asking different girls on little league ball team. I told him how much that made up for the rude waitress had night before. He comped my granddaughter's meal. At least you have someone that seemes to enjoy his job!!!
we ate dinner in restaurant, 15-20 and the waitress never smiled, acted as if did not want to be there, poor service and then put the upcharge tip on our bill. Another waiter helped her some. We got up and got our own silverware. Food was not hot. I could go on and on. We were a large group but not unruley. for the price of the hotel, you would think the restuarant would have better service. I always tip well - again do not like it automatically placed on my ticket. I keep just thinking maybe she was having a bad day, extra fatigue from being poss pregnant, rough life, whatever.
It was really nice, view was beautiful.
Was too expensive for what it offered. My $500 stay for 2 nights for a bed and bathroom. No microwave $4 bottles of water, a pool that every other hotel offers and that’s about it. Oh and $30 additionally just to be able to park my car.
My husband and I take stay at Hyatt many times for downtown concerts. The staff is always nice and the hotel is clean.
The down feather pillows
The staff was very accommodating, also the security personnel were very tentative to my companion since she had a fall on uneven concrete, their actions prevented further pain and suffering...
The room had limited lighting, being a senior citizen, I'm used to rooms with a light at the night stand and a light that's dimmable close to the restroom. We ended up using the bathroom mirror light as a night light...
The bathroom flooded every day, and I stayed for 7 days.It was never fixed i booked on booking.com and was quoted a certain price. I booked it 2 months ahead of time, and when I arrived, I was charged $200 more. They only cleaned my room once in the seven days. The stay was relatively private, but uncomfortable
Nice location right on the river. Beautiful area and nice hotel. Rooms were nice and clean. We rode scooters around downtown and by the river.
Very comfortable and nice place to stay 10/10. Clean spacious lobby, wonderful staff, and amazing rooms. Property feels new and smells great.
I traveled to attend an event at the Wichita Boathouse, next door to the hotel. The hotel was very refreshing, the lobby was spacious with plenty of places to sit and relax and windows all around. The check in was easy and getting in/out of the garage for self-park was easy with your hotel key. The restaurant had delicious food, the bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable. The room was clean and allowed for relaxing with TV and movies (but limited channels) or working with a desk and several digital outlets. I had a river view room on the 16th floor, which was lovely. Daily maid service was a plus. Compared to other hotels in the area, it is a bit more expensive but you are paying for extras not found in most hotels- close to downtown events (the River Festival was there when I went), daily housekeeping, shuttle to/from airport, restaurant on-site w/excellent food, self-park or valet service. The only negative I'd give it was the reservation process. I had to switch days and although I always worked online directly with Hyatt's general website, the reservation kept changing. First, it was lost, then the change was not shown, then the room type was different. As I was flying in the day of arrival, I was able to get the room I had reserved by working directly with the local hotel. I would either suggest calling the local hotel to make reservations or check your reservation frequently if you make it through their corporate website.
Very nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful rooms, very clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome stay right on the river. We were able to walk down to see the Keeper of the Plains, approx 25 minute walk. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff.
Everything was great except the $20 a day parking fee.
Has always has been a bit of a favorite. Back when my husband had reason to travel to Kansas several times a year, he would try to fly through Wichita instead of Kansas City just because this was his preferred hotel. His/our opinion has not changed. Successful room rejuvenation just completed. New bathroom vanity. New headboards. New modular wall unit clothing storage (not my favorite room furnishings idea for a hotel, but this one works far better than most), with a table that can function as a desk, and two chairs still in the room. Bathroom has been redone including the countertop. Also new carpet in hallways since we were here last (a few years ago). Our water pressure more average than great, but good enough. You could make the two shower heads work at the same time to compensate. To set proper expectations, you should understand this is a solid and comfortable three-star full-serve, rather than expecting a four-star deluxe. The restaurant does not have the longest menu in the Hyatt universe, but it is not as cookies cutter as most Hyatts either. There has never been a Hyatt club there in the 25 years we have been sleeping there (but much as we prefer a hotel to to have them, Hyatt the chain seems to be dumping them in mass anyway). Parking is attached in a city-owned garage (that primarily serves the hotel) at a better than average price. Has a shuttle to/from the airport (which is not that far away).
Location, except we were there during a festival and couldn’t access the riverwalk.
The night lites in the room are too bright and very sensitive, roll over in bed and the lights are on!
Water glass in the bathroom had a huge chunk of glass missing from rim and I almost cut my mouth
Paper thin adjoining walls making sleep very difficult, no body wash or shampoos for 2 days, very poor front desk service - no-one there asked if I had a nice stay (wonderful Carlos did and also helped me with bags to my room - He is a true gentleman and a great ambassador for this hotel), extortionate wine prices, despite repeated requests for info on bonus points was directed to Hyatt world who in turn pointed me back to front desk. Kayla (who tried to help) saw all the messages and was escalating with her director - despite a follow up request to speak with a manager more than once, no follow through. No spare toothpaste - was pointed to a vending machine where I paid $10 plus tax when I told lady at front desk this wasn't reasonable she bluntly told me "This hotel charges for everything, that's just the way they are" - that pretty much sums things up for the tone and service. At 9:30PM on Sat night exhausted from a hard week, cleaner had a walkie talkie blaring and echoing down the hallway - after 2 attempts this was finally silenced close to 10PM
Location, close to everything. The view was beautiful, room comfy. Loved the new lighting in room.
Thought there was complementary breakfast, but there was not.
Great location; very clean; staff was helpful and friendly; bartender and the chicken wings were GREAT!! It was during the week of RiverFest so there were lots of people/traffic, but there was enough help to get into the parking garage, etc.
Beautiful and clean. Top notch customer service, in every step of the way. The front desk staff were all extremely helpful and the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating.
The hotel was fine, but I was billed $200 for “incidentals”. Normally these are reversed after a few business days, but in this case I had to call 2x to get this addressed. The facility is nice, but watch your bill.
We stayed at this hotel last year for state track but after this years experience we will NOT be staying here ever again! There was blood and hair in our sheets, hair in our shower! When housekeeping came up to give us clean sheets, the housekeeper said yes the lady who works days in housekeeping is known for not changing out the sheets! Gross!! Horrifying!! Upon checkout, I asked to speak with a manager, the clerk said she would have them call me. 2 days later I have still yet to hear back from anyone! So disappointing! Will NEVER stay here again!!
Clean and comfortable
Nothing really
The privacy and the location of the hotel
Small Jaccuzi
The hotel was really clean and comfortable. Staff were fantastic and couldn't do more for us. We were really happy with our stay.
Very nice and clean
No one explained anything. Wanted to charge us to park and charge $19 per person for breakfast buffet that was not anything special and thought it was included while staying there.
Extraordinarily clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Service was great!
Nothing
Location on the River with the views was absolutely outstanding. Close to Doo Dah Diner and other places. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
We really enjoyed our riverview king room at this Hyatt. The room was clean and comfortable. Drinks at the hotel bar weren't severely overpriced and service was great. We have stayed here before and it worked well for our attendance next door for a show at the Century II Concert Hall since the buildings are connected. We and several others were locked out of the hotel upon our return through the connected passages, but a call to the desk resulted in hotel security letting us in. The motion lighting in the room and bathroom was really handy at night when we had to get up and move around. The room key has to be used to make the elevator operate, which is a nice security measure as long as you don't forget your key. The elevators are really fast, so the wait was rarely very long once the elevator was called. If you drive here, prepare to spend an additional $15 per night to self park in the attached parking garage, and more if you use the valet service. Garage gates are operated by your room key card.
It was a beautiful hotel!
The cigarette smell in the room. Construction in my river view room
Everything was good Location atmosphere rooms value was great cleanliness was great noise level was great service was also great
Great experience, quiet, dark, comfy. Great TV and decorations. Quick elevators and well lit hallways and garage . Nice
Hyatt Regency 400 w waterman Wichita ks 67213 room 1711 stolen items I told the maid not to clean my room she was a heavy white lady that I talk to she was in room 1712 she said she would tell the other maid that clean 1711
Outside property, lobby and room were nice, plenty of covered parking and the staff was very helpful. Conveniently located next to Century II Expo Hall.
Great experience. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. If you get stuck going to Wichita, this hotel is a great place to stay at. The in lobby restaurant was really good as well.
Safe, clean , exceptional hotel. Love staying here. Employees are amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Food it’s great. No need to go anywhere!!
This is a great place to stay in Wichita. It’s conveniently located downtown. I recommend the corner room with a view of the river. The view will even improve after the green space along the river is completed.
TOO MANY THINGS TO REPORT- SCOLDING HIT WATER FROM BOTH SINK, SHOWER, TUB - MY CHILDREN COULD HAVE BEEN FATALY HURT. BREAKFAST ICE COLD AND HARD PLUS I PAID FOR IT PRIOR TO CHECK IN AND WAS CHARGED AGAIN AT BREAKFAST - MANAGER SAID HE WOULD REFUND MY MONEY, WE LEFT AFTER ONE NIGHT, COULD NOT TAKE A SHOWER OR ANYTHING BUT I WAS STILL CHARGED OVER $300.00 ON KY MASTERCARD. I'M ANGRY TO SAY THE LEAST

It was clean, and neat
It was difficult to get to downtown because of the road construction. Which was not mentioned anywhere when booking the room. We stayed 1 night, and had to pay an additional 15-25$ for parking, after paying almost 300$ for the room for 1 night. The “river view” room we booked, was a view of dirt piles and construction equipment. The ac was not cooling the room down, likely because we were on the 9th floor. The only vending machine we found, only carried drinks. We purchased a quick bite at the Perks coffee shop, however, my salad was not worth the price. I did not notice the lettuce was old and the cheese was hard and rubbery until I got back up to my 9th floor room. The restaurant was closed by the time we returned back to the hotel at 10p, so we had to leave to go eat somewhere else.
Friendly staff, rooms were clean and maintained. I was there for a conference and the facilities were great. Would recommend.
The Hyatt Regency is a massive downtown convention center hotel dating to the 1990s. It has clearly benefited from a recent, fairly extensive renovation. Overall, the renovation was done well. Guest rooms are a significant improvement over just a couple of years ago, and the hard product now aligns with what you’d expect in 2026. That said, the renovation feels incomplete. Oddly, neither the restaurant nor the bar appears to have been touched. Both are dated and feel disconnected from the rest of the hotel. It’s also a missed opportunity that there is no outdoor pool or sun deck. Likewise, the restaurant could have been repositioned to take advantage of Arkansas River views instead of being tucked away without any sense of place. Where the hotel really falls short is the soft product, particularly service and maintenance. From a service standpoint, this operates more like a Hyatt Place than a full-service Hyatt Regency. There’s no Regency Club lounge and no bellmen to assist with luggage. In short, there is little in the way of touchpoints. I didn’t see newspapers or meaningful local information beyond a few Visit Wichita magazines in the lobby. The arrival experience was underwhelming. No pre-arrival email, no welcome letter at check-in, and nothing was explained. I was left to figure everything out on my own. There was also zero recognition of World of Hyatt globalist elite status. Basic preferences weren’t honored. I had requested a top-floor room and did not receive one. The rooms themselves, while refreshed, lack expected amenities for the brand: no robes, no slippers, no mouthwash or dental kit, no wine glasses or wine opener, and no laundry bag in the closet. Cleanliness could be better. While the room looked superficially clean, a closer inspection revealed otherwise. The shower had mold and mildew. There were a fair bit of hairs everywhere you looked. The in-room coffeemaker was visibly dirty and appeared not to have been properly cleaned in a very long time. Even more concerning, the pillows lacked protective liners beneath the pillowcases. Maintenance is another issue. Despite the renovation, the bathroom had visible mold and mildew in the walk-in shower. The fixtures were heavily stained, likely from hard water. It gives the impression that while capital improvements were made, ongoing upkeep and deep cleaning are not being prioritized. Dining is a mixed bag. Breakfast is offered both buffet-style and a la carte. Tn the evening, the bar serves both a bar menu and a restaurant menu. Food quality ranges from good to better than average. However, alcoholic drink pricing, especially for wine, is difficult to justify. The selection is extremely limited — think cheap Canvas wine and gas station-quality Kendall-Jackson. Prices don’t match the market or the quality. All things considered, this Hyatt Regency feels like a glorified Hyatt Place. If the rate is right, it’s a perfectly acceptable stay. Just don’t go in expecting a true upscale, four-star hotel experience.
Loved the room and the security measures that the hotel took to keep their guests safe. The hotel staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. A very welcoming atmosphere. Also, I normally have a very hard time falling asleep & I knocked out quickly as the bed was very comfortable!
Location to down town and the cleanliness
Parking garage not attached to the hotel
I always like staying at this hotel-- I never feel stressed about the cleanliness. Even though I had a room right next to the hotel, it was quiet! The bed was very comfortable and I slept very soundly!
I like all of the things they had to offer.
Did not dislike anything.
Outdated and needs updating to attention to rooms and dining room. we asked for an ADA room and did not even get placed in that room. Then we got placed in a room that was farthest from the front. It was quiet, but very hard to go back-and-forth for myself.
Staff and manager on duty were great
Reservation process was a nightmare. I made a reservation, they tried to charge my card and then there was no reservation.
Property was clean until you got to your rooms
rooms still had dirty/stained sheets, pillowcases.. clean towels were hard to get(was told they didn’t have anyone if shift to wash and dry them), staff was very disrespectful and rude towards other adults, at check in they told me they didn’t have anymore rooms of what I had booked months ago.
I stayed there for 3 nights, my room was never cleaned my entire stay. I personally requested my room be cleaned and called the front desk to confirm it was noted on their computer which they told me it was. Very unsatisfied with front desk and house keeping.
Clean hotel very close to downtown with a view of the Wichita River. Convenient garage parking, friendly staff with fast service.
Recently renovated and clean hotel conveniently located next to Century II for KMEA activities. You can't beat the location for KMEA music weekend.
Our whole experience
Hotel is nice. Food is good. Always a lot of kids there and no later hours for adults at the pool. They needed healthier options for breakfast, nothing different, just average.
This is a wonderful hotel, very nice. We loved the short term parking close to the front door for a short period if needing to run up to your room. The staff we're super helpful when we misunderstood the parking garage. The hotel was full & a little loud at night, we could hear other rooms. Thankful it quieted down & the beds were super comfy. We'd absolutely stay here again!
