Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The staff was very friendly and our room comfortable. We had had a long day of travel and a celebration of life service after which we were eager to relax. The evening food and wine allowed us to unwind and not need to go out for dinner
Nothing.
Loved the outdoor hot tub. Our rooms were great, the building is very iconic and beautiful inside and out
Did not know I had to pay for parking but overall was not too expensive
This hotel had great customer service and was very clean and welcoming.
There is a lot of homeless around the area but the hotel itself was very safe and secure.
They went above and beyond to help me celebrate my wife’s birthday. They surprised both of us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates. They also placed a card from the hotel to my wife for her birthday and brought the flowers I had ordered up to my room before we got there. Everyone was great and accommodating. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again. Next time we will be reserving the king suite on the 8th floor instead of the 7th. They are a huge upgrade. But both room are beyond nice with great views. Thanks again Drury Hotel! You made my wife’s night!!!
Nothing
Beautiful building! The lobby is vast and gorgeous, looks like an elegant old-school hotel. Our room was very clean and well-appointed.
Our room was a bit small.
Very cool retro hotel with free dinner and breakfast. What's not ro like.
Nothing really.
Meals adequate Drinks fun. Room comfortable.
All good
I like the location of the hotel near the Riverwalk very pleasant place to take your dog for a walk in the evening and morning hours
lobby was very sparse and cold looking front desk. People were OK if you enjoy purple hair and nose ring really whatever happened to the professional appearance stayed the following night in another hotel nearby in the check-in. Front desk was totally different. It is amazing how that will affect your thought process on the review of the property.
Great amenities. Love the drink vouchers!
Family reunion made it crowded and security stricter. Long bed trucks don’t fit in garage and that should have been warned.
Historical value and Elegance! Excellent value with 5-star Amenities! The breakfast and evening complimentary “kick-back” reception are both wonderful! Super friendly staff!
nice facility, friendly staff, good location, decent pool area, nice breakfast options Was very hot in Wichita at the time, room was kind of hot as was not cooling well. Staff brought us two fans and reset the thermostat which did the trick. Room cooled off nicely.
could have had better options for dinner.
The service in this hotel was exceptional. Kudos to Michelle and all the breakfast service staff! I've stayed in hotels such as the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, and this Drury surpassed the level of service received at those hotels!
Very good hotel. Clean large rooms. Great facilities and parking included. Very good location.
The customer service of the staff was outstanding! Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the amenities were fantastic, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.
Great
Paying for parking
The Broadview is an old historic hotel on the edge of downtown Wichita, beside the river. I enjoyed my stay here for the most part. My room was nice and spacious. Although part of the old structure, Drury have done up the interior with all the modern touches. Yes, it’s corporate and without any ‘boutique’ character, but it’s relly great for the price. The downside is the street noise. I'd read about other hotels along Douglas Ave and their issues with street racers at night. I was on the third floor, and the city really does have a problem with this--and the windows just cannot block out the noise. That said, most of the racing stopped by 10:30 each night. The amenities were what elevated this stay for me, though. The Drury has a happy hour, and it's almost too good to be true. For like 90 minutes each evening, you get 3 alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, even cocktails) plus they have a small food buffet that is all included in your room rate. There is also a good breakfast buffet as well. It's not haute cuisine, but it is perfect for families as the kids can eat all they want for two meals a day! (While the parents enjoy a few beers or wine.) It is very popular, and the dining area can get crowded and really noisy during these times, but it's a good part of the stay. They also have an on-demand, complimentary airport shuttle van. It's perfect if you don't rent a car. The hotel itself is about a 5-10 minute walk to the core of downtown and the main restaurants.
I have wanted to stay at this location for a long time and I am so happy my family and I were finally able to. The kickback dinner and breakfast were a big draw. Just makes it easier and more relaxing when you're traveling to have both dinner and breakfast be an option. There were so many food options and they were all delicious. but the building itself is historic and beautiful and perfectly located downtown close to so many attractions. We love that it was right by the river and that we could also look out our window and see the city, it was beautiful inside and out and very comfortable. The pool was a great experience. My kids and I loved this hotel and we're so glad we were able to stay here and have a great time in Wichita! The service was really great and professional from most of the people working there. There was one person working there that did not look or act very professional and I did not appreciate that and tried to avoid them. But everyone else did a wonderful job. The building and parking were very secure as well. My only advice would be to be hire people who take the job seriously and want to give customers the best possible experience and will act and present themselves more professionally on the job. The Drury Inn seems to be one of the best hotels in Wichita, it is an elevated experience and people hired should reflect that and have great attitudes. It was a perfect stay beyond that. Beds and pillows were comfortable, room was beautiful, everything was perfect. Thank you!
This is our second time staying at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview with our children. The hotel is clean, comfortable and beautiful. It is a really cool, old building that doesn't feel old at all. The rooms are clean, the free breakfast is awesome and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were told that the hotel was fully booked the weekend we were there, but we never experienced a problem with noise. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Good location. Room was comfortable and roomy. Slept well. Kickback snacks and breakfast made for a more relaxing stay.
The pool had an extremely strong chlorine smell.
We had a wonderful stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview! One of our favorite perks was the complimentary Kickback, which included food and drinks each evening, along with a delicious free breakfast each morning. It was such a great value for our family. The assistant manager truly went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of, and their outstanding customer service made our stay even more enjoyable. Our kids had a blast in the pool, and we really appreciated how family-friendly the hotel was. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
The service was amazing the people and the room. But when I got up to eat breakfast I ate a couple bites of eggs and I felt very sick I went back up to my room and I threw up to where I there I was crying. Also why do you have every door locked to where you have to use your key card at every door even tho the doors are 2 feet’s apart and there’s another lock.
The afternoon "kickback" in the mezzanine, complete with a free buffet dinner and 3 free cocktails was a wonderful touch! Also had dinner at the restaurant, AVI Seabar & Chophouse, and it was absolutely incredible!! Decor was lovely, and staff was very nice!!
The hotel was beautiful! The architecture was stunning and they kept the charm of the hotel from when it was built. Check in was very smooth, front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Room was absolutely sparking clean! The pool and hot tub were clean and ready for us to relax in! Parking was in the parking garage across the street but had a sky bridge to access the hotel without being outside for longer than necessary. The resturant AVI was absolutely amazing! Some of the BEST food I have ever eaten! So delicious! The hotel was conveniently located and was so beautiful at night! I have never felt mlre secure staying at a hotel before.
Check in was at 3 but we didn't get to our room until after 4 but they comped our parking while we were staying there. The lobby had lots of wonderful places to sit and wait.
I was very nervous about the hotel because the price was so good, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room as well as the lobby area. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast but there were ample selections and the food was fresh.
Getting luggage to the room was challenging for me. The parking garage was across the street but did have a nice walkway. It would have been very helpful to have some luggage carts in the garage. Also. I sent four messages through the booking.com app and they never responded. I got so nervous about them ghosting my messages that I called the 800 number listed on booking to speak to them and that number did not work. I finally called directly and confirmed my reservations and was able to ask my questions. Staff was training the new person when I checked in and the trainee was friendly but the trainer never smiled, never welcomed me, or made direct eye contact so that was weird. But overall the stay was nice and I would stay here again
Great property…love the evening and breakfast buffet.
Stunning building. Friendly staff.
NA
Food service was great
Our room was half the size of our friend’s room for the same price. Very disappointing
Location and cleanliness !
Nothing
The building is beautiful, the staff are amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable, happy hour and breakfast are excellent. Cannot rate the Drury high enough. It is wonderful.
Na
Good value overall. Staff were great.
We did request a river view, and this request was confirmed, but we ended up with a city view instead.
Wonderful stay—will use Drury again.
N/A
The hotel was clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot and plentiful.
Beautiful setting along the river. Pleasant and helpful staff
Nice classic vintage feel. Good food. The fact that it is along a river walk.
The breakfast was good, the 5:30 kickback was nice! The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tubs & the staff actually held decent conversations with us, rather than just hi & bye!
The only complaint I have is the conditioner was extremely hard to get out of the little holder it’s in & the sunlight/street lights come in from the windows even when the shades are completely shut, which aren’t anything crazy!
Truly a grand hotel built in 1922, the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview Wichita offers spacious rooms, wide hallways, comfortable accommodations, and includes breakfast and happy hour in the price. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Wichita, which affords guests easy access throughout the Wichita area. Courtesy shuttle van service to and from the airport is approximately a 10-minute drive and a genuine amenity. The entire staff -- from front-end reception to van drivers to breakfast personnel and happy hour bartenders to maintenance and cleaning crews -- is hospitable and friendly. The hotel, in short, is a well-oiled machine.
I had a wonderful stay at the Drury Hotel! The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in, making for a great night’s rest. The location was excellent and made it easy to get everywhere I wanted to go. One of my favorite perks was the complimentary evening food and beverages. It was a great way to relax after a day at my conference and added so much value to my stay. I would definitely stay at a Drury Hotel again and highly recommend it to others!
We only stayed for one night. We are not fans of Wichita, but the hotel's security made us feel safe. The free dinner and drinks was an unexpected surprise as was the rooftop hot tub! We will be looking at booking more reservations here in the future.
Breakfast was good. Location was perfect for my activities. Staff was very helpful and considerate
I had an issue with water on the floor of bathroom. I'm confident the issue will be resolved.
Location was good, staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, room was good size
Beds were a little hard for our liking, the tub wasnt super clean, the hallways smelled a little.
Muy bueno !! Super recomendable
Me cobraron mas de lo que indicaba la reserva
The dinner
An excellent historic hotel along the river within walking distance to restaurants and local attractions. I enjoyed my time here and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, the amenities were nice, and the staff were friendly!
Having to pay extra for parking. But it’s alright :)
Very clean
Love the food and drinks at 5:30. Really helps with the value
Friends had to move rooms but really the process went easy.
Breakfast and the kick back was nice
The bathroom had a leak in the ceiling over the toilet so I got wet every time I used to restroom
Location, amenities and cleanliness
N/A - everything was great!
Excellent breakfast buffet! We unfortunately missed the evening drinks and snacks. Loved the location next to the river and the decor/style of the hotel.
Price/value Didn't like that they made you pay $14.00 a night for parking as well...but at least the parking garage was attached to the hotel.
Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and competent, the rooms were lovely, and the amenities were very nice.
Room was clean and comfortable, and we loved the river view. The kids loved the pool and hot tubs, and the staff was really friendly. We were all impressed with the breakfast buffet and afternoon cocktail hour included with the stay
We have mixed emotions about our stay. We have never stayed at a Drury Inn and parts of it were really good. I think my husband reserved either the largest or one of the largest rooms in the hotel. When he booked it online, it took his CC#, but didn’t reserve the room. We didn’t realize that until we called them to add an extra night and they told us they had our CC#, but not our reservation. Both the hotel and we were perplexed over this. When we arrived, they had given us the original room we booked and my husband was very pleased. We loved the spaciousness of the room, the view, and the windows were clean. I liked the area where we could fix our coffee/tea and the closet space was nice, but I didn’t like the bathroom because it was so small. I really don’t like the standard size bathtubs and the cloth shower curtains, but outside of that, we thought the room was very nice. We had traveled several hours and didn’t want to eat late, so we went out to eat first and then came back and unpacked our room. The next morning, I noticed something on the toilet tank and it was not a happy site. I then stepped out and saw one of the cleaning staff and asked her if she could come to my room so I could ask her to make sure she cleaned this area. She saw it, was very polite, and agreed to do so. She thoroughly cleaned our room and did an excellent job. We were in and out of the hotel room during our four day stay because we were going to a conference. I did call down to the front desk the next day because I was gone for four hours, and when I came back, the room still wasn’t clean, and I said no problem and they came later and once again thoroughly cleaned it. However, the day before we left, we came back in that afternoon and noticed it wasn’t like it was the other days. The bed wasn’t made, the comforter that was on the floor, which accidentally got knocked off, and I left there for them to take, plus the tidiness from the other two days was not there. I was perplexed and went downstairs and there was a very nice lady working the front desk. She had short dark hair with tattoos and was very polite with good customer service. She explained that she was going to check into it because there were three others that had happened to, and I was personally just perplexed. That same night, when we were coming back to the hotel, we turned into the hotel garage area and ran over something cumbersome. It was about 9:30 PM and our tire started immediately losing air in and my husband had to change it I don’t think that’s the hotel’s fault, I think probably a pedestrian dropped it there and they didn’t know, but we had to take care of it immediately. I went down to get some extra towels and went to talk to the person at the desk, not the same person that we talked to with short, dark hair, but someone else, and I was quite taken back by the way they addressed me. I felt like they were very sharp with me and very much let me know that the room not being all the way cleaned was our fault. Apparently, at Drury Inn, you have to do something special to get what we thought was regular house cleaning and customer service. We clearly spent over $1000 at our four day stay here and had we wanted to clean it ourselves, we could have stayed at a VRBO. My husband did not elect to take the 250 points that I think they offer you if you want to omit cleaning, we wanted and thought we were getting full service. I was very much told that we did not do the right thing and that the other cleaning people were being nice and that we only elected to have trash and towel service. We were not there for one night, we were there for four nights! I think had I not been addressed in the way I was, I wouldn’t even put this in the review, but I was and I don’t feel that’s acceptable. I think had someone said I’m sorry for any misunderstanding, etc., I could’ve absorbed it more. Please know, my husband selected to get one of the biggest or biggest room in the hotel because we wanted this to be a very good stay for us. Parts of it were very nice, but unfortunately, that one interaction soured our experience. Once again, we were not regular Drury Inn customers and had never been to one. Additionally, we would not have selected a room that was close to $300 a night if we didn’t want full service during the four day stay. Outside of that, we thought the foyer area of the hotel was very neat, liked that they had a fitness center, loved the high ceilings, the walking area in our room and the view from the windows.
This was an amazing hotel. Probably the best I've ever stayed in. The experience was worth more than what I paid for it. Extremely safe and secure. The building and grounds were immaculate. The parking garage is extremely safe and secure. The breakfast was outstanding.
Had a great stay. I really appreciated the guy at the front desk with brown hair, glasses and tattoos. He was super sweet, kind and accommodating. He is an excellent worker. I also the live bartenders. They were awesome as well
Very nice and clean
Nothing
Great restored property in downtown Wichita. Comfortable quiet and safe.
I love the location & happy hour. The view was great for an unexpected fireworks show Saturday night from the baseball stadium.
Check-in parking was busy and it seemed like the amount of time people were parked there didn't matter. The lady that checked me in was a little crochety and not friendly.
My daughter loved the pool and breakfast. We loved the amenities, the cleanliness, the safety measures that they have in place, and the location.
You could hear everything in the halls and the cars late at night, but that is a small complaint everything was wonderful.
Kickback and breakfast
Pop isn't all day or a desert
Just stayed at Drury Broadview. Really enjoyed this renovated historic hotel. Substantial food for happy hour and delicious breakfast buffet all included. Great location on the Riverwalk! Reasonable parking rate for downtown hotel. Staff was friendly. We will stay here again!
No negatives!
The hotel itself was beautful.
Paying for parking.
We loved our King Suite with a view of the sky scrapers. The outdoor hottub was an amazing surprise and our room was beautiful!
The parking garage is incredibly inconvenient!
The rooms were exceptionally clean, fresh, and well cared for, which made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the overall service was outstanding. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay!
A little more variety for breakfast during our stay, even adding bacon once in a while would have been a great touch!
The location was perfect and the most helpful staff.
Everything was great.
The blonde tall gentleman check in attendant stood with me for over an hour trying to deal with my reservation dilemma and he called the customer service line and just was there for me through the whole thing while dealing with "extra" customers.
Nothing
Drury Inn's are the BEST. Always find one when available on our travels.
My sister was in the hospital and needed a place to stay. While they don't give a hospital rate they do have the free kickback and breakfast so makes the price worth it.
The people at Drury Inn Wichita were so friendly and hospitable. The experience was superb. Both of our airport shuttle drivers were fantastic and the front desk staff made sure our transport from and to the airport was seamless. Complementary food was great as well. Big fan of Drury Inns!
Staff were excellent. Great breakfast. Very clean. Security felt safe.
Delivery truck was just barely over enough to get by on the west side.
This hotel was probably the best kept and cleanest hotel I've ever been in. The maintenence folks were ALWAYS cleaning something but not obtrusively. The staff was just fantastic. Soooooo friendly and the entire stay was so smooth and easy. The food (breakfast and the evening kickback) was absolutely worth the money. It's within walking distance of century II and there's a pretty river walk behind the hotel. We stayed in the top floor and the view was great and the room size was perfect for what we needed. It's seems like it's super fancy but they have a very relaxed vibe. Bed was soft and comfortable. For sure we'll stay again.
This hotel does not look like a typical Drury - brick 8 story building with an airy reception and many conference rooms - probably because it was a different city hotel in the past. Parking is $14 daily at the garage across the street. Rooms are rather spartan and bland. Bathroom was large. What stands out are the employees. Everyone seemed happy to work there. Everyone was beyond helpful. Very pleasantly unlike in other chains in similar category.
Absolutely wonderful hotel, very clean and wonderful customer service. Can't speak highly enough about this hotel.
Property was clean
very comfortable beds with nice bedding, I slept quite well. Dinner was a nice touch, after a long day on the road it was nice to have something available right there in the hotel. Thanks!
Nothing comes to mind.
Everything.
None
Had a very good experience. My Stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The Go-cart noise on the street and along the Arkansas River at times is my only complaint.
The hotel was beautiful, service was great, and it was in walking distance of everything downtown.
Breakfast was great, as was the happy hour. Also like the covered car park
