Everything! It was historically interesting and very beautiful.
Nothing
This is a great hotel. We were in town to visit Tanganyika Wildlife Park. This hotel served as a perfect home base for the room was a large suite with a refrigerator and cook top. The bedding was so comfortable. The shower was fine, but not extraordinary. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is very conveniently located. We wandered the farmers market on Saturday and had a lot of good restaurant choices in walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.
Top Hotel, sehr schön und sehenswert. Das Gebäude ist wunderschön, die Zimmer ein Wahnsinn.

This is a lovely boutique hotel, that has recently been renovated. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and bedding is very comfy and clean. There is a little kitchenette in the rooms, they have a nice breakfast buffet and a beautiful lounge area. The weekends they have a really piano bar.
This place is very nice and clean and the staff was great atmosphere was wonderful The rooms are huge very comfortable. They accommodated me at the last minute if I ever come back this is the only place that I would ever stay thank you so much. I really appreciate all help the rating that I want is not even on there, but it was 100% wonderful thank you Mr. Whitt and family
I had the most amazing time. The location is perfect! The employees are amazing. They are incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and friendly. They make you feel like they are there for you. Everything was very clean and accommodating. The hotel is historic and feels nostalgic but is also modern and comfortable. My room was beautiful with a lovely view and the available amenities were a nice touch. I have returned and will continue to return.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. So unique! The room was very clean. The price was great, especially for how nice this hotel was. I loved the little evening time lounge they offer as well.
There were 3 out of 6 dryers broke in the laundry room, which meant after washing my clothes, I had to wait nearly an hour to dry them.
The location was wonderful
The air conditioner kicked on /off every 2 minutes and didn't allow for rest sleep
We have stayed at the Hotel at Old Town a few times now. It is by far our favorite Wichita hotel. The hotel is consistently very clean, the rooms are well equipped with an almost full-sized refrigerator, a microwave, paper towels, a small coffee maker, and a small cook top. The bathroom is large and the walk-in shower offers plenty of room even for those with some mobility issues. The lobby is clean and beautiful, and we appreciated the coffee and tea available all day. We had to extend our stay by a few days due to unforeseen circumstances, and the hotel was able to accommodate us. We appreciate the covered parking garage as well.
Hotel at Old Town was one of the highlights of my visit to Wichita and one of my favorite hotels from a nine-day Midwest road trip. Located in Wichita's Historic Old Town district, the hotel combines the character of a beautifully restored historic warehouse with the comfort and amenities of a modern hotel. From the moment I walked into the multi-story atrium, I knew this wasn't going to be an ordinary stay. The natural light, exposed brick, and historic displays throughout the building give the property a unique personality that's hard to find in larger chain hotels. Our atrium-facing double queen room was spacious, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. The beds were among the best I've slept in while traveling, and despite being within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife, the hotel was remarkably peaceful at night. I also appreciated the complimentary covered parking garage, which made it easy to leave the car behind and explore Old Town on foot. One of the things that stood out most was the staff. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. From coordinating our stay before arrival to making us feel at home throughout our visit, the customer service was outstanding. Breakfast each morning included both hot and continental options, fresh fruit, and a great selection to start the day before exploring Wichita. If you're visiting Wichita—whether for business, a weekend getaway, or attractions like Tanganyika Wildlife Park—I highly recommend Hotel at Old Town. Its combination of historic character, comfortable accommodations, walkable location, and exceptional hospitality made it feel like much more than a hotel. It truly became part of our Wichita experience. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next visit.
Location is great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely recommend.
The eggs were terrible, way over cooked. All the soaps in the bathroom smell very masculine, like men's cologne.
Great hotel, great location, great staff, good breakfast, nice bar. No complaints. Will go back as much as I can.
The location is outstanding very walkable food/fun/shop/museum area. The renovation of an historic property is very appealing especially when done so well. Lovely interiors and seamless fit in an historic area. Full kitchen is fantastic to have but ours did not have a low wide frying pan, only two small tall sided pots you could not cook in unless you were making soup. Bath is good with walk in shower.
The parking was not attached to the hotel at all. The side door to garage had steep steps down and the steps back up into the garage that is only a few feet away - there is no excuse for not attaching the garage in several areas. It is a very long distance around for handicapped, wheelchair, elderly and ability divergent folks. This would be intolerable in winter. ALSO, you have to pay for breakfast if you like free breakfast, just so you know. Beds are good but the pillows were awful.
I was skeptical when it had a kitchenette but we were so pleased with the hotel. It's beautiful, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and it was super clean and new looking. I like that they only come clean your room when you ask- I don't need new sheets and the bathroom cleaned every day. I was also very happy with the neighborhood and the surrounding area. It was easy to walk to multiple locations to eat, get coffee, go to bars and even a nearby QT. We were without transportation but if I had a car it was easy to park for free in multiple locations. It was a bonus that every Saturday there was a farmer's market just steps away from the hotel. Love that's it's privately owned and not a chain!
Great location right in the middle of old town. Very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. The little kitchen even had dinnerware/ glasses. Those little extra things show how much they care about your stay.
With the exceptional location, did come the drawback of the noise from the streets. It was okay though, everything was so comfortable that once I was out, I didn’t hear a thing.
Everything was fantastic, great customer service. Great location, great wifi -
Tv's are outdated. should be upgraded to roku - with at least one free TV streaming app
Precioso hotel muy pintoresco Ubicación muy buena Personal muy agradable y amable
Desayuno pobre no tiene propuesta para celiacos
Gorgeous bedroom and bathroom. Charming historic building. Walkable location.
Sparsely equipped kitchenette. No towel rails!
Unique with ambiance. Love the interior balcony, aviation theme, and live music.
Na
Hotel was nice. Rooms were nice. Hard to sleep due to outside street noise. The windows need to be thicker or something because we were on the 2nd floor and on the weekend we heard cars/ motorcycles racing by, people talking on the street, music from somewhere. Bring earplugs plugs or ask for an interior room
No housekeeping unless you requested it
We had a Beautiful king room with kitchenette on the 4th floor overlooking the square. There was no problem with noise- we stayed on a Monday. If I were on an extended business trip, I would have been quite comfortable there. There are plenty of places to eat/drink within walking distance and plenty of parking. It is not in the downtown area. There was easy access to the Interstate. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Had a nice staycation in a suite that overlooked Oldtown square. It was nice to open the window and listen to the music coming from Morts (great band!). In the morning there was a farmer's market that was steps from hotel door. Also, breakfast was within walking distance as well. The bed was so comfortable and the living area with kitchenette was stocked with everything we needed for the short stay. We stayed over the weekend, and this location is oldtown so heavy nightlife area that picks up around 10pm, so be prepared for noise level, but I doubt you would experience then during the week. Overall, enjoyed our stay. We stayed
Great location
The kitchenette in the rooms
Such a beautiful hotel in a great area of town, lots of great places to eat, grab a drink or shop, you won't be disappointed. The hotel is very comfortable, the people there are wonderful to work with and they are very respectful, appreciative and friendly. The morning breakfast is very good and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing & enticing. High highly recommend this hotel, you will really enjoy the old town/downtown location and for the money you are going to be better off than staying at a chain hotel.
Free parking garage, easy and friendly check in. Our room is pristine and soaps and shampoos are provided. We’re just sleeping here, but where we are (in the back of the hotel) is quite enough.
Wife and I stayed here for a night and we absolutely love this hotel and location. The front service desk employees are very friendly and welcoming; with a quick check-in. There is free parking across the way. The hotel is well maintained, very clean and a gorgeous building. Our room was nice, large, with kitchenette (mini stove, refrigerator, microwave and some cooking supplies), big spacious bathroom with shower, felt very comfy. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and night clubs. Definitely would stay again, and recommend.
Beautiful overall.
Questions brushed iff or not helpful at the desk. Food staff weee great! You could benefit from a shuttle bus. Extra toilet paper in room. Body wash versus soap. No one uses bar soap any more. Hands only, nit body. Better smelling products. More glasses in the room. TV volume controlled by the facility and the fan is loud. An ATM machine would be helpful to your guests, especially in the evening or early morning hours. Music in the lobby would add to the ambiance. Housekeeping staff very sweet and thorough. Just a few thoughts. Overall, a very clean hotel with nice decor. Rooms very comfortable.
I was really impressed with this hotel. It's a lovely old, characterful building in the 'old' town which has been lovingly restored from an old tooling factory. It has a really nice airy and light atrium which our room looked into, and each floor had a display of pictures and display cabinets of something regarding the history of the town, or of the hotel when it was a factory, which was very interesting to look around. In the atrium they had a lovely sitting area with a small waterfall and complementary tea and coffee which was great to relax in. Our room was a good size and was very modern and comfortable with a nice comfy bed and pleasantly decorated. It was very quiet too. Also the bathroom was modern and large. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast there also was pretty good (at extra cost but we knew that). The area around the hotel was quiet, full of interesting shops and bars, and seemed very safe. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the greyhound bus station which was also good for us. And buses to the highlight city sight 'the keeper of the plains' ran close to the hotel and were quite frequent (around a 15 minute ride).
Beautiful hotel. Friendly attentive staff. Breakfast buffet was very good.
Good hotel. It has a boutique feel to it and the room was very easy to sleep in. They have a convenient free parking garage right there too. Plus free coffee in the morning - which is becoming more and more rare these days. Go to Sabor restaurant for a good, local meal with some flair.
Central location and comfortable bed. Just what I was looking for. The decor and vibe was cool.
Can’t think of any negatives
You advertise that rooms have hot tubs and they dont all.have hotness tubs
Great location and super clean with friendly staff!
Wow, what an awesome hotel. I had never stayed here before, and found it while looking for a place to stay close to where I had a business meeting in the Old Town area. This place was very clean (recent remodel?), reeks of old-school charm, and the staff were great. All around, a truly nice experience. This is now my go-to hotel for Wichita.
Stayed with friends at this wonderful hotel. The atmosphere is great. The location is great within walking distance to boutiques, restaurants, and other activities. Rooms are spacious and have everything needed for a great stay. We also enjoyed the piano bar.
The staff and the rooms at this hotel are amazing! We loved the live jazz music. The location is perfect if you want to walk to great shops, bars and restaurants! I would rate this hotel an absolute 10 and plan on staying there again!
Just a great experience. The location is right in the middle of the entertainment district and everything is walkable. The hotel management and staff go to great lengths to make the experience smooth and enjoyable. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Hotel at Old Town is a charming hotel in the heart of historic Old Town area of Wichita. It has adjoining covered free parking which is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable.
Nothing
It is so rare to find an independently owned hotel these days! We happened to just see this cool looking old building when we were visiting Wichita previously. And when I looked it up, I couldn't believe how reasonable the rates were. So we were excited to book a stay here when we had another Wichita trip planned. This hotel is so clean & the rooms are modern while they still clearly respect the history of the beautiful old building. We will for sure stay here again next time we come to Wichita! I don't know if the rates were lower because it was the end of winter, but you would be lucky to get a Motel 6 something on that level for the rate we paid! Stay here! Wichita is a fun town with a lot to offer, especially restaurant-wise!
Great location in Old Town, was perfect for the event we attended in town. Very interesting Air Capital displays to help explain the Wichita connection to aviation. Plus, parking was free in the next-door garage.
Everything. Truly a remarkable hotel in so many ways and an aviation walk back in time on the third floor. Lots of amenities nearby.
I assumed from the listing that the breakfast was included in room charge. Info in room divulged the price per guest. This was VERY disappointing as free breakfast was a condition of our selection.
Tools and construction equipment stored just outside of the elevators was unacceptable for the perceived star level of the facility. There was not a bedside table on one side of the bed, so we had to use our cooler.
It’s walking distance to restaurants. Has a lobby bar with music. Even though we didn’t need it our room had a full kitchen. We stay here once a year on our way to KC from Houston. It’s so comfortable and charming!
There isn’t anything that we didn’t like except I thought the price for breakfast was a little high.
A very nice surprse of a great hotel! we checked in on our way from Colorado back to GA. The staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel itself was a living museum of Witchita. Had we known there was so much downtown activities, we would have planned to get there earlier to enjoy some of it. The room was VERY comfortable after a long drive. We will definately plan to stop there again!
The location, the decor and the historic appearance
Love this beautiful hotel. Great rooms and friendly staff. The location is close to lots of entertainment and dining with free parking at the hotel.
Wonderful 3 night stay with family in 6 rooms, all which were clean and inviting. Lovely, huge lobby with bar and music with plenty of room to hang out. Decent hot breakfast buffet, free parking, perfect location and excellent service!! This hotel is the best! We love it and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Wichita!
Great location at the heart of old town. Very comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Loved my stay
Very clean facilities, centrally located and free parking.
Rooms backed to street behind hotel and easily hear people yelling and loud cars at and after midnight.
This hotel never disappoints. I was in Wichita for an overnight stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. My room was clean and I love the renovations they have done recently. Hotel at Old Town is my favorite place to stay!
Staff was extremely personable and facility was charming.
The staff at the hotel are so welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and super clean. The hotel is in a perfect location to walk to old town restaurants or to work downtown.
The hotel is historical with lots of history throughout. My stay was so relaxing. The room was beautiful and very clean! Wow, it had a kitchenette with microwave, stove top, small full size fridge with freezer, sink with garbage disposal and a dishwasher! My view with the city lights was so nice. The bed had lots of very nice pillows. The bathroom was an excellent size! Everyone I spoke with was so welcoming and kind. I thought the price was a great value.
The air conditioner really didn't blow cold air. Also, wish the room had a tub/shower.
Nice size room with all the amenities one might routinely ask for. Very convenient location.
Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Shower only, no bathtub. The 'club' chair is the room was uncomfortable and under-stuffed.
Beautiful hotel, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and live jazz music on the weekends. Restaurants close by. Parking garage. Great location. 10+
Location in Old Town and cooking facilities and laundry
Air con was noisy from next door room
Location
Our family stayed at hotel at old town for our son’s wedding and we had a very enjoyable stay! We would have preferred for our rooms to be near the other family members but we met up in the meeting area so it wasn’t a problem at all. We were impressed by the large, clean rooms. It was nice to be within walking of the wedding reception.
Conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Great breakfast
this location was in walking distance of our concert venue. a beautiful area of town. The building was just gorgeous! The elevator was very elegant, smooth, and quiet. and a FREE parking garage right next door.
Great customer service. Front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and well maintained. Would 10/10 recommend!
Downtown Wichita offers a fun and nostalgic area with restaurants, stores, venues and entertainment. The Hotel at Oldtown is right in the middle of it all. The rooms were clean, bed very comfortable, and service amazing. On a weekend, I would recommend a room on the inside hallway, or not along the street due to noise. The lobby area and bar were wonderful for our family to gather and visit.
Mikey at the front desk was amazing! Very helpful with local information and made everything easy at the hotel! And staying here allows you to walk to everything in the area! Great location
