Shuttle, very helpful and friendly staff

Second time here. Easy shuttle from airport. Very friendly staff and clean room with good mattress. Will stay here again. First time eating in the restaurant for lunch and breakfast buffet. Very convenient.

We stayed here from August 4th to 11th for a family wedding. The hotel was conveniently located close to both the ceremony and reception venue. We flew in at night, and the staff were very nice, welcoming, and helpful when we arrived. Check-in was smooth overall, although I had a small issue with my credit card. The staff were helpful, and everything was resolved without any problems. The lobby provided complimentary water, and coffee was available in the mornings. Our room had two queen-size beds, and complimentary buffet breakfast was included every day for the four of us. The Room Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. I just wish the closet was a little bigger, although there was plenty of drawer space to store our clothes. There was also a nice lounge chair by the window, which was a comfortable touch. The air conditioning worked well, and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. Housekeeping was available every day if needed. We chose not to have our room fully serviced during our stay, but we did ask for clean towels each day, and the staff were always very nice about providing them. The mini fridge also worked well. We bought a case of water and kept our drinks in the fridge without any issues. Gym & Laundry The hotel had a small but nice gym, along with a terrace on the second floor. The laundry room is located near the gym entrance, on the left. Unfortunately, there is only one washer and one dryer. One day, the washer was out of order, so we called the front desk to ask when it would be repaired. We were told someone would call us back, but unfortunately, we never received a follow-up call. This was really the only downside of our stay. Having only one washer and dryer can also be inconvenient when multiple guests need to do laundry. Breakfast The complimentary breakfast buffet was really good. It was a basic breakfast, but there was a nice variety, including toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. Oatmeal was not served on weekends. They also had orange juice, almond milk, coffee, and tea. The food was regularly replenished, so the buffet was always well stocked. Breakfast ended around 10:00 or 10:30 a.m., depending on the day. Overall Overall, my family had a very pleasant stay and had no major complaints. The hotel also provides complimentary transportation to the airport, which was very convenient. Just remember to book the airport shuttle in advance with the front desk. Our only real complaint was the small laundry room and the lack of follow-up when the washer was out of order. Other than that, everything went well, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. If I visit Vancouver again, I would definitely stay here. It was a comfortable, convenient, and pleasant place for our family. It is cost friendly to use Lyft bro get to places.

Our travel companions had trouble getting the shuttle, so had to hire a taxi. That was the only glich. Everything else worked great.

Rooms were spacious and kept very clean. Location was great and parking was ample.

Housekeeping wasn't up to the mark, kept leaving some areas unclean. Invoice not provided yet.

Everything was fine, but suggest that the complimentary breakfast include slices of tomato - this would round off the wholesome selection of foods.

Die Lage war ideal, da wir am nächsten Tag den Heimflug angetreten sind. Die Zimmer waren ausserordentlich sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Zimmer konnte zudem komplett abgedunkelt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls sehr lecker, mit grosser Auswahl.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport Richmond for one night before leaving for Los Angeles the next day. It was one of the best stays I have had on my vacation over the past 8 weeks. After arriving via the shuttle, I received a lovely warm greeting from Ivy, who instantly made me feel very welcome. I was early for the check in & Ivy advised that the room type I had booked was not quite ready but offered me immediate check in to a different room type which was ready, which I very much appreciated. She acknowledged my Platinum Status & presented me with a lovely welcome gift package. The room was fabulous, very clean & a super comfy bed. Upon checking out the next morning, both Ivy and Vie were on the desk & couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging to hold a piece of luggage for me until my return and reorganising an earlier shuttle to the airport for me. What a fantastic hotel, so close to Vancouver International Airport with a great shuttle service. I will be returning to stay and would absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

There are 8 of us, we just got in from cruise..Staff worked to make sure my cousin got his room quickly as he did not feel well.. Omar Ramirez met us at our coach, made sure to get our luggage taken care of. He made sure my cousin had everything he needed. He would Not let us carry our bags to rooms...He took care of us just as much as cruise staff did! We were very grateful, of course we are tired, he made it a lot easier...And the girls at check in, unfortunately I don't know names, they were very helpful!! We payed $600 for a downtown , very fancy Hotel , YOUR HOTEL IS MUCH MORE Impressive, Holiday Inn will be my go to place from now on!! Debra Morris

The staff at this Holliday Inn property was absolutely first class! I would like to recognize Omar, who was the Bell Hopp on this particular day. He is very polite and, the hardest working staff member I have come across in a very long time. As an IHG Patinum Elite member, I am happy to see a staff that cares this much about the customer experience!!

Richmond Holiday Inn. Great atmosphere, fabulous staff! Shout out to Omar and his excited and friendly welcome and baggage handler and to Olivia in Fogg N’Suds! Olivia was so funny and went above and beyond to help us.

Staff were nice. Location was convenient. Room was great.

No free breakfast. We heard some noises quite a few times but good thing we were awake.

Airport shuttle was OK.

Location was not especially close to Airport; next time we would take the train into town (which is fast and easy) and stay at Holiday Inn West Broadway which is closer to a range of restaurants and shops and action. This hotel was quite noisy with aircraft and traffic all thru the night.

Value for money is definitely a big factor but aside from that the staff are very helpful and pleasant, room is clean and well stocked. There is microwave, coffee machine and fridge. I like the lay out of the room. So happy that we found this hotel. We will definitely come back.

We recently stayed here for a few days after our cruise. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff upon our arrival. The rooms ( we had two) were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had breakfast one morning at the restaurant on site and the buffet had a great selection. The bus transportation to the airport was a plus! Would highly recommend this hotel !

From the front desk staff that checked us in at 2am, to Omar who brought our room service, to front desk staff named Vie who helped us with several issues this evening, this has been a pleasant experience all the way around. Highly recommend!

The rooms have a good amount of space, the shuttles to and from the airport are convenient, but I am writing this review as I’m laying in the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. They have a white noise machine in the room, blackout curtains, and it feels like there are 2 mattress toppers on this bed. I slept like a baby despite the time change and jet lag.

Ivy did a great job of explaining the checkin procedure and answering the questions that I had. She gave me good information about traveling to Canada Place for my Alaskan cruise. My room was very clean and quiet! Everyone that I came in contact with who worked in the hotel was very pleasant! When I checked out, Ian helped me with my luggage so that I could grab breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel!

I booked a 5 day, 4 night stay and my experience was pleasant. The property is consistently clean and in order and that is my standard with regards to hotel stay. My room was exceptionally perfect in its category. It definitely has exceeded expectations for a Holiday Inn Express category. My check in is seamless except one experience that stood out for the wrong reasons. A member of the team during my check-in named Ms Ivy came across as blunt while addressing an issue with the credit card machine. Throughout my, her demeanor remained cold and unwelcoming and that overshadowed my positive outlook and impressions to the property. The specified dining area was decent, though the breakfast selection could benefit from more variety. It was the same since day 1. In fairness I still rate the hotel a 3/5 because of the property experience, good sleep and some team members are very welcoming except for one .

Ian the hotel receptionist was incredibly gracious, informative, and genuinely pleasant. He patiently answered all my questions and even went the extra mile to find the best possible room within my price range to help minimize noise and make my stay more comfortable. It was also such a nice surprise to converse with someone who speaks Filipino , that personal touch meant a lot. Because of Ian’s exceptional service and care beyond his usual duties, this hotel truly deserves a five-star rating.

I was looking for a one-night stay at a reasonable price while I was in town for a family event. This hotel came up with a very good price for the Lower Mainland. Their off-season rate was under $200, even on a weekend. In the end, I had enough IHG points to get the room almost free, so you can't beat that! The service on check-in and check-out was very courteous and friendly. I was a little surprised that the staff couldn't give me driving directions to Hwy 99 heading into Vancouver off the top of their heads, but after consulting a map to be sure they were right, they gave me very good directions. Given the price, I didn't have high expectations of the condition of the hotel, but my preconceived notions were incorrect. The hotel is in great shape. It appears from their write-up on this site that they may have just completed renovations. I would definitely stay here again! My only complaint was the lack of an elevator from the parkade. It was OK for me, but would be an issue for someone with mobility challenges. The only access from the parkade to the hotel appeared to be down half a flight of stairs. I had breakfast in the attached restaurant (Fogg n' Suds). It wasn't cheap and the portions weren't huge, but the food was very good. There is also a breakfast buffet available for $19.95.

I stayed at the hotel on Feb 3-4 on the sixth floor, it was okay. I had booked it on line , while I was at the holiday inn , I booked for the 18-19 Feb. he said it would be a smaller room , I said is it the same price , I am a member an a senior , he said yes . He never gave us a bill , when I got home I checked an they had charged us $33.50 more . I called the manager , they said he call back , never heard from them. We had a worse room on the sixth floor a view of the park lot. This is not correct.

The Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport Hotel is well maintained, clean and comfortable. The staff are polite and friendly. My husband and I always choose to stay there before flying out of YVR. There is a shuttle service provided. Another great option is the Fogg and Suds Restaurant that is connected to the hotel. Good food and prices. Makes travelling to the airport worry free.

We have recently moved from the Vancouver area but return for business and pleasure frequently. Knowing the area well this is our constant "go to" hotel. We also travel internationally on a regular basis and are choosy about our hotels. The shuttle to the airport is well organized, on time and clean. We stay at this hotel mainly because of the staff, the service and the consistent quality of the rooms. It is excellent dollar value. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The rooms are large, and beautifully maintained. The beds are very comfortable and we appreciate the "soft" and "firm" pillows! There is a restaurant attached and the food is excellent and inexpensive. There is a wide choice on the menu with something for everyone. Parking is secure and is relatively inexpensive as compared to hotels in Vancouver proper. We would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Vancouver area.
