Comfort Inn Sydney - Cape Breton

L’accueil

Breakfast was top notch. Excellent.

We have no complaints at all.

Very convenient, good breakfast

Too expensive- such as everything in life is now

Location was good and staff was excellent

Lingering smell of eggs after breakfast in the main reception area.

Clean & comfortable

Friendly and clean

Shower did not work great - water coming out shower head and bathtub faucet at the same time

Near some great restaurants and nice view of the water. It was noce to have breakfast included

It doesn’t look like the bathroom was cleaned. Water marks and soap on the vanity. It honestly had us doubting how clean the bed was at that point. Found an empty water bottle between the bed and window. Breakfast was a little uncomfortable. Dining staff member was overwhelmed, huffing and puffing. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Location was good for us

It would have been nice to have complimentary water in the room to make coffee. The coffee and coffee maker was supplied.

Very nice place. Very quiet..

No elevator..

The beds were very comfortable. The morning staff was very pleasant.

Being booked on the second floor and not informing us that there was no elevator. After asking the check-in staff if this area was a safe area to park my vehicle, she went on to say , "Well, there are vehicles stolen all the time here in Sydney. Not comforting words to hear knowing my car might be stolen.

The staff were very accommodating

The beds were not comfortable with the fitted sheet kept coming away t From the corners. The breakfast was fair but need more seating areas.

Sehr freundliches Personal.

Staff were very pleasant, and it was quiet.

Loved the location, room was good and great breakfast. Shout out to Angela who went above and beyond helping us at check in and called later to ensure everything was in order

No elevator,

The room was very nice and the staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was very good and rooms were comfortable.

Drinking water could have been provided in rooms.

Great place with great staff.

Being able to back your vehicle right up to your patio door to unload waa a real bonus

We were put beside a family full of rambunctious kids

Easy to find, parking was plentiful, ordered a taxi for us, good breakfast and kept well stocked. Excellent shower …. just lift the diverter before turning on water.

30 min walk into Sydney(we were ok with that, part of it is boardwalk). I’d be careful not to get a 2 x double bed room next time as there’s a lack of floor space. There’s no lift to floor 2. Not really a problem for us but it would be good to know beforehand.

It was good value

Beds were excellent

The staff were amazing and accommodating. The location was great. I loved that we had patio doors, this made taking our dog out really easy.

The shower didn't work properly.

During our stay a young woman names Prerna, Dron and Maureen at front desk was exceptional wonderful and treated us more like family not hotel guest. Our rooms were always detailed and ample clean towels always provided by housekeeping staff. You must stay here when visiting Cape Breton!

Absolutely nothing not to love here.

The pictures in booking show a very nice hotel , it not a nice place to stay

Everything is old and the smell is not good

It was what I expected for the price point.

Love the bottom entrances

Nothing

Clean and easy access

Nothing

Patio doors

Breakfast was great, lots of variety. Several accommodations for accessibility- grab bars, tub chair, first floor option, disability parking close to our room, access to our room through lobby or directly into our room from parking spot. Friendly helpful staff.

Higher toilet and step in shower which staff saud were on the list for upcoming renovations. 😊

Front desk staff was very friendly

Beds were a bit old, not super comfortable

Too many bugs.

Petit déjeuner très bon

Rien tout était correct

Breakfast was great!

Bed was a bit squeaky. Curtains didn’t close together very well.

Clean. Location is good, couple staffs exhibited good customer service, easy check out

Not worth the money. Renovation going on in the near by rooms and we had to walk past it .there were construction workers ,noice and dust from the reno

Location and price.

Breakfast was pretty much non existent....what little food was there was usually cold even though it should have been plentiful and hot - waffle batter was usually gone and one morning when we arrived to the breakfast area within 15 minutes of closing all there was to eat was toast and the staff was completely unapologetic! Another morning we were rushed out of the area only to see staff members and their families eating what was left. The guys doing the renovations seemed to be eating a lot of the food as well...Sometimes the coffee machine in the lobby didn't work and the orange juice dispenser was out of order. At least sometimes the lemon water dispenser worked....

Breakfast was a bonus

No king beds

🤗

Room was comfortable

Construction

Beaucoup trop petit.

A very average room. Property under going renovation. Breakfast was OK. Staff very pleasant

Great little place to stay the night and very kid friendly and close to shops and restaurants

No complaints

Very friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable beds. We were not aware that the motel was under construction before we arrived. Because of this the parking was restricted. Only downside

They are starting Reno’s which is great because it’s needed and we were warned of that upon check-in. The problem was the crew are staying on site. I had to call the front desk as all of a sudden the smell of pot was coming into our room. She dealt with it efficiently. They were told to smoke away from the building intake but ignored it. Unfortunately the noise that the workers made in their rooms, which we were sandwiched between were very loud in talking, slamming doors. No manners. Their phone alarm went off in the am and it went for at least 40 minutes. No manners or respect for others at all!!

Ground floor parking to room was great

Kein Aufzug.

This Inn definitely lives up to its name, Comfort, from the staff, to the room, and breakfast. Also our dining recommendation (Ziggy’s) was spot on. Highly recommend

Overall the property has had many upgrades and the room was definitely spotless. The room needs to have upgraded beds and the carpeting needs to be replaced with new flooring.

Very helpful receptionist Angela

Check was quick and easy. Staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Front desk made a Follow up phone call to our room to ensure our room satisfaction, very nice customer service.

The staff were awesome. All were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. They even accommodated us at no extra cost when we had mistakenly booked rooms for the wrong days. Rooms were good, beds comfortable. The breakfast was great and the food fresh. There is some maintenance and improvements being done on the hotel but it didn't affect our stay. Thanks for a great stay.

Lady at the front desk was fantastic

Bed wasn't very comfortable

Wonderful staff

Quiet room, clean.

The shower had a weak spray.

Ok

Travelled with family. Requested adjoining rooms on first floor and was checked into two rooms on second floor across and down the hall from each other.

All good with us

Clean and breakfast was great

Outstanding service

👍

It's a great place to stay while in Sydney. Only a 5 min drive from the harbor area. The breakfast was good and the personnel was super friendly.

Nice

Clean, looking better than last time I stayed.

Excellent beds! Breakfast setup was crowded and difficult to maneuver and food disappointing

I would not recommend this property for the free breakfast. The bacon appears to be microwaved and the egg look like it was liquid egg. Not a surprise but a sure disappointment. The room was clean and the bed was ok but the air cooling system was really loud and place next to the bed which made for a terrible night of sleep. While I do not have mobility issues it’s a disappointment to see inaccessible doors and walk into building and no elevator or lift to second floor. An upgrade is needed. I wouldn’t stay again.

Rooms are too small for two travelers. Furniture is mis matched and crammed into the room. Breakfast area is very small. Staff that we dealt with was the highlight of our etay

A bit outdated

The staff at check-in were helpful and kind. The person running the breakfast room was not very helpful and they ran out of eggs and sausages by 9:40 and didn’t make more when it was served until 10. The breakfast space was also very tight so most people took their food to rooms which is fine but not ideal.

Le matelas n’était pas suffisamment ferme! Réveil avec des courbatures.

Helpful & pleasant staff. Comfortable & enjoyable stay. Would be good to see a reduction in single use items, for example plastic cutlery.

chambre confortable

Convenient location. Staff were very courteous and helpful to suggest restaurant for Sunday evening.

Breakfast ended early at 9 am. Please extend to 9:30 am minimum.
