The breakfast wasn’t as expected

Everything was perfect! Comfy beds, big room, very clean and quiet.

The location was good for us, as needed to get to the University. The Staff are very friendly & helpful. The rooms are a great size & were clean. Breakfast was also good.

The bedroom was a little dated & probably needs a little refurb.

The only one thing our family enjoyed was the pool with the big slide, kids spent there the most of the time. Again, every time we needed to get towels at the reception which is weird, usually everything you need is located at the pool

One of the biggest disappointments of our Cape Breton trip. We paid over $900 for three nights, and the quality was honestly shocking for that price. I’m not even sure where to start. When we arrived, both the shower gel and body lotion dispensers were completely empty, so we had to call and ask for them to be refilled. The toilet paper holder was broken and actually fell onto my child’s foot when he pulled the toilet paper. There wasn’t even bottled water in the room, which I have rarely experienced in a hotel at this price point. No kettle either — just an old coffee machine. So if you don’t drink coffee, apparently you’re out of luck. But the biggest shock was breakfast. The oatmeal was so dry and solid that it was almost impossible to scoop out of the pan. The eggs were extremely salty. Food kept running out, and people were standing in line waiting for the sausage simply because there was hardly anything else available. There were no fresh vegetables, no cheese and very few healthy options for anyone who doesn’t want a heavily processed breakfast. And then there was the presentation: paper plates and plastic utensils. At a hotel charging us almost $900 for three nights. I understand this is not a luxury resort, and I wasn’t expecting one. But there is a huge difference between basic and poor quality. For this price, guests should at minimum expect a properly maintained room, basic amenities, decent breakfast options and actual dishes and cutlery. Cape Breton itself is beautiful, but this hotel experience was a major disappointment and absolutely not worth what we paid.

Everything is old, sticky. The carpet is disgusting. The pool is disgusting; over fill with people. And many teen boys jump into the pool; no bath towel available at the pool; no small bottle lotions available. The room smells extremely stinky.Disgusting as whole. I wish I never check in this hotel. Was two nights with night mare here

Zwembad met super glijbaan; ontbijt helemaal prima; kamer is standaard hotelkamer maar helemaal prima; bed sliep goed; ruim opgezet hotel; achter hotel is parkje waar je prima kunt hardlopen.

Ik vond de fitness wat tegenvallen. En dat de deuren van de lift je soms te pakken wilden nemen - ze sloten soms heel snel.

Very clean, staff were friendly, and helpful, the complementary breakfast was really nice, it had a variety of foods to choose from.

I loved how clean, qnd friendly the staff were. Incredibly helpful and kind, the two young ladies that checked me in had a delightful sense of humour, very down to earth- made me feel much more relaxed while staying. the pool was super busy as there was a wedding going on but the rooms were wonderful- beautiful view, beautiful bathroom setup. Perfect location to be able to walk to the boardwalk and have a bite to eat close by! overall a wonderful stay

The staff need to find a different place to smoke and chat. I had asked the front desk to ask them to be quiet and they did but later had to go out myself and talk to them. Their place was right next to our room and you could hear everything they said.

The breakfast was fantastic. The pool and waterside provided a lot of fun and entertainment for the kids. The room was clean and spacious.

Das Frühstück war ein bisschen künstlich. Trotzdem hat es uns gefallen, weil wir so etwas auch einmal ausprobieren wollten. Man hat auch etwas gefunden, um sich gesund zu ernähren, zum Beispiel Haferschleim mit Früchten und Joghurt. Der Kaffee war okay aber nicht hervorragend. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns das sehr viel Plastikbesteck verwendet wurde. Alles in allem war es aber trotzdem ein sehr gutes Erlebnis. Die Lage war auch sehr gut und wir haben obwohl wir abends noch einmal zum Pizza essen ausgegangen sind noch einen Parkplatz gefunden. Das Personal war sehr bemüht und hat uns noch Handtücher fürs Schwimmbad gegeben. Allerdings war es schade, dass wir nicht informiert waren, dass der Pool von elf bis 13:00 Uhr wegen Wartungsarbeiten gesperrt ist, so dass wir ihn im Rahmen des eintägigen Aufenthalt nicht nutzen konnten wie geplant. Das Fitnesscenter hat uns Spaß gemacht. Alles in allem hatten wir sehr viel drin für unser Geld

Wir haben nicht mitbekommen, dass der Pool vormittags für 2 Stunden geschlossen wird.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the indoor pool and slide, entertained our children for hours! The restaurant across the walk was fantastic - an excellent selection of menu items and delicious food. Buffet breakfast was just what we needed. Close proximity to the ferry terminal as well, which was handy prior to departing to Newfoundland

Nous n'avons pas bien dormi. Lits doubles très inconfortables. Les matelas étaient très mous et grinçaient au moindre mouvement .... Mon conjoint s'est blessé à la cheville en accrochant le support en métal du lit qui ressortait du matelas. Nous l'avons mentionné en faisant le check-out mais l'employée en poste n'a pas tenu compte de nos commentaires.

Breakfast and cleanliness

Breakfast was a bit of a bunfight. You need to sort out the sequence of stations as there was no room in the corner by waffles etc and people shoving ! More fruit would be a bonus and the plastic cutlery is dire. The recycling is just not happening which is upsetting .

Beautiful hotel, nice restaurant next door. Exceptionally Large rooms on the first floor. Very comfortable lounge / eating room.

Although the rooms on the first floor are extremely spacious, the rooms lack good lighting. The extra large window does not provide any privacy, therefore the blinds need to be drawn, the only lighting is the night lamps. A ceiling light would be ideal for this room.

Das Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Vor allem stapelte sich nach dem Essen ein riesiger Berg Papp- und Plastikmüll auf unserem Tisch, weil sogar das Besteck aus Plastik war. Die Waffeln haben geschmeckt, der Rest war ungenießbar.

When i arrived they told me my mastercard couldn't be accepted because ut wasnt a MAJOR CREDIT CARD. We drove 3 hours. The money was there. If My friend wasn't with me, then me and my daughter would have had to stay in our car. For a whole $50 deposit which was also on my mastercard. We pay enough to stay in the hotel. No credit card should be denied.. There was no towels in the pool area.

Bed not satisfied,box spring mattress was like sleeping on plastic needs replaced very noisy, room 146 bottom floor.next time there dont want be on first floor , I stayed beautiful room before there very nice comfy upper floor .

We’ve stayed here before and probably will again. But the last time, this is what the bedside lamp looked like. Now I’m wondering if this passes the cleaning inspection…what else is going on!

Good location and big rooms

Noisey / Breakfast was just ok

After a long day of driving checked in late at night. Stayed on the third floor The room had a grooved tile entrance that transitioned to carpet. The grooves in the tile had a lot of accumulated dirt and the old worn carpet was heavily torn at the transition. This room needs to be taken offline until the carpet is replaced and the tile is deep cleaned. We booked this hotel based on good online ratings but are left wondering what purpose these ratings actually serve. The next morning after showing the front desk assistant a picture of the state of the carpet he apologized and said that the carpet did need replacing. He said he would speak to the Manager. The Manger had the desk assistant call back and offered a $20 discount …. I think he missed the point!

Hampton inn membertou is ignirant and prejudice they took $509.94 from my bank account and never replaced it please avoid this place at all costs they don’t care about their customers or their business they only care about the money they get from them

Love the common areas. Great to chat and meet with friends. Staff was very nice and the hotel is new and modern.

There was so staining on the carpets in our room. Almost looked like blood.

Proximity to the hospital, as I was in town for family medical emergency.

Needs more parking

We like the breakfast and the pool. Rooms are very nice. We have stayed here several times over the years, usually for 5 days, and always wanted to come back.

We had a good stay. The hotel is comfortable with plenty of parking. It was nice having complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area, and also a laundry room. A good place to stop over - it is not in the city, but convenient for a road trip.

We stay at many Hilton‘s across our business travels and this is one of the best ones we stay at. That’s saying a lot when you compare it to other Hiltons. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Extremely clean, including the bathrooms. Staff from front desk to housekeeping are incredible. For travel with kids, this place is also excellent. They’ve built an above ground hallway/bridge that connects directly to their waterpark. The breakfast buffet is a real breakfast, including everything from cereal and yoghurt to pancakes, sausage, sausages, and eggs.

Jean & Richard Excellent plus - Hospital rates are excellent. Got a warm welcome and excellent omservice. Hotel very clean . Over all including rooms were spotless. The hot breakfast was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly. The free parking a bonus.

The pool area is a nightmare! It really should be supervised during peak dates. Every year we have the same issue. Bigger kids and teens taking over the pool and slide, being rough to smaller kids and there’s always kids leaving hurt and crying. Parents don’t seem to do anything about this. It’s really disheartening and ruins the enjoyment for everyone being respectful.
