Comfort Inn Kapuskasing

well, we showed up passed 4pm, our room wasn't ready despite it saying 3pm check in. They said it would be a few hours to get our room. Which didn't work for us, as we were attending a wedding and needed the room to get ready. I decided to call booking.com to complain and see if they can get our room ready sooner or give us a discount for our troubles, as we weren't very pleased. I have traveled my entire life and have never had this happen. Booking.com decided to cancel our room, despite me telling them at least SIX times that I didn't want it canceled. We showed up at the hotel, they gave our room away. Booking.com was going on and on about how they will pay $50 some dollar difference when we book a new hotel, despite me advising them for the 100th time, that there ARE NO OTHER ROOMS, every hotel was FULLY BOOKED, this is why I asked them NOT to cancel our room!!!!! Needless to say, we ended up sleeping in our damn car that night. I will never try to stay in Kapuskasing again. And I always book with booking.com and I will NEVER be using this platform again.

Upon arriving I was greeted by very nice friendly staff explained things clearly. The room was clean.The morning staff was also friendly and helpful.Next time I travel through Kapuskasing I will book here again.

The only little thing I found annoying was the size of the towels they were too small

Air conditioner wasn’t working, staff gave us a fan for the night and said tech would fix it the next day… never showed up. Also, cleaning staff left our room door propped open to the general Hallway

I did not like that I have a disability, and tried to get a ground floor room a week before check in. There was no way. I find that unsettling. The options I was suggested was switch rooms with someone, or find another place to stay.

Our room was facing the highway. Very noisy because of intersection right there.

It met my basic needs Bed was very comfortable Huge tv Good lighting Excellent shower Decent breakfast.

Found chips under the edge of the bed- whoever vacuumed the room missed this totally. The price for a room is way too high but the only place to stay.

Room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was great. And the discounted price for our attending a funeral made the whole experience even better.

There was no regular coffee packets in our room.

I liked the fact we were walking distance for simple foods like kfc or pizza.

Breakfast wasn’t great we had to ask for things and the girl made us feel like we were bothering her from her cell phone time.

Proximity to HWY…. hearing transports all night

Location was great for cross Ontario travel. Came in late, left early.

I wish there was more security. Fishermen and trades are vulnerable to theft. I saw no cameras in the back. There is no designated trailer parking.

Desk clerk is super awesome. Refreshing to see someone with a such a beautiful disposition and so enthusiastic about pleasing the client. The included breakfast was number 1.

Only negative is the light seeping in from the security lights in the rear of the building.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Staff were great room very clean and we really appreciated the sliding glass doors to our room as they were great for transferring our necessities from the vehicle and back. Also enjoyed the full breakfast Continental breakfast is okay but the full breakfast is actually exceptional. Would highly recommend a stay here.

We liked the included breakfast and all day juice and coffee. The cleanliness of our room was a big problem including a bad smell.

The check in process was quick and the associate was kind and efficient. The room was not very clean though. Toothoaste sokash marks on the bathroom mirror. Dust on a lot if things and the carpet by the window was wet new were exhausted so didn’t mother to complain or change rooms. There was also an outside gathering of guests below our 2nd floor window until around 11:30pm

This is a Comfort Inn which feels like it hasn't been rehabilitated since it opened 30 years ago. That said, the rooms are fine - decent, clean and comfortable. But the place is run down and needs a major face lift.

This property ONCE was good. The rating is far too high! Room was on 2nd floor, no elevator, handicapped auto door out of service, room smelled bad. Dirty windows with dead flies! Never again!Outside not maintained.

No hand soap and the room could of been cleaner.

Room was dirty, damp and smelled. No soap in washroom. Water stains on ceiling with peeling wallpaper. But the front desk was very welcoming during check in

For some unknown reason, the male employees were really nice but the woman ? Wouldn't even come to the front desk (from the back, where we could see her) for our checkout. Very rude lady. Can't even answer a question. We were there June 15th, 2025. When you first walk in the hotel, there's a smell of old must or something. It's really back. I would NOT recommend this place

Absolutely disgusting hotel when we arrived, we saw that our floor was not vacuumed or swept there was sticky stuff all over the floor food underneath the beds and around the nightstands hair all over the toilet and tub and sticky stuff covering the desk chair as well. I asked for a vacuum or broom to clean it myself as there was no other options available, and the person that came to sweep our room didn’t even know how to do it properly. After a little bit of realizing how disgusting this room was, I asked to move rooms because there were no other available hotels or Airbnb‘s in all of the town. They moved us to a room with a soaking wet carpet because the air conditioning was leaking more hair on the toilet and tub and sheets that were covered in dirt there was some questionable substances on the wall near the outlet and underneath the bathroom door handle unfortunately we had to stay here as it was the only option in all of the town

Poorest value I've experienced in hundreds of hotels across the country. $233 for a hotel worth $133 on its best day....it's a Comfort Inn. Mattress was uncomfortable, pillows lumpy, located across the street from train tracks...henceforth, loud trains. Breakfast was was old and nearly inedible...made me physically sick after. There is not a redeeming factor about this place, let alone anything to warrant $233..bloody ridiculous.

The comfort inn was great! Check in fast , room perfect , recomended a place to eat O’Briens which was great! We didn’t plan on staying here but our previous booking was cancelled thru Expedia It was a great place

The breakfast was OK. Nothing spectacular. The rooms are "Dated". The rooms need to be updated. (ie. Modern USB plug-ins); Access to Streaming services (You Tube, Netflix's, etc.), 0n Smart TV's. For the price you pay, it's hard to justify, but what can you do in a captive market, Kapaskasing & Northern Ontario.

Great easily accessible location of Hwy 11 right at you get into Kap from the east. Staff was quick and helpful for check in. Room was nice, clean, and spacious.

Nothing of the fault of the Comfort Inn but there was some incident that occurred with a different guest in the middle of the night that resulted in the OPP being called to site at about 1:30 in the morning so that woke me up in the middle of the night with a 12h drive the next day.

Booked ground floor room and was told that Horels always change up the room when booked. Room was changed to a ground floor room. Patio style door did not properly lock - was not equipt with any type of dead bolt system.

The staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Carpets needs vacuuming and shampoo in shower was empty. But these are minor things and it wouldn’t deter us from staying there again. Very happy with our stay. ☺️☺️

Pleasant older property in good condition. Neighborhood a bit sparce on dog friendly areas to walk.

It was very dirty. Dried up boogers on the wall and above headboard and all. Had to talk to the manager. Pills on floor.. dust.. food under desk and more...
