All was good, friendly staff. Good place to stay

Price, was evacuated from north due to fires, and felt they took advantage of it as last minute place to stay, price was very high for a typical comfort inn double queen room.

The bed was surprising comfortable.

It really needs some TLC. Pretty rough around the edges.

Only one chair in the room. Very loud at 1030 someone's kid running in hall screaming. 1132 some drunks came threw the hall. No elevator for 70 yr old to have to carry luggage up.

My friend and I had no options because the town was full and we couldn't keep driving. Had to share this crappy room at over 400 for one night. Pull out sofa was uncomfortable. Had to request linen, which they just dropped off in a heap. The restaurant next door stopped serving alcohol before 9, so I had to deal with this place sober. The breakfast was really bad.. I don't even know how you make those chewy eggs. Should have slept in my vehicle and saved the money.

The room and bathroom were very clean. I was a little suspect when we first pulled in as the hotel looks a little tired from the outside and it’s not in the greatest location but was pleasantly surprised when we got into our room. The bed was super comfy and the room was surprisingly very quiet notwithstanding its right near the airport.

It’s located on a busy main drag and in what seems like not a great area. However there is a nice neighborhood across the street that we drove to, to walk the dog. There is a walking path on one of the streets that follows the river, which was nice after a long day of driving.

Clean & comfortable for short stay. The staff were polite and friendly.

Four nights was disappointing. They didn't clean our room or make the beds. On day 3 we asked why and they had "missed" us. Profuse apologies but still didn't clean the room or make bed as we were leaving next day. Just removed a pile of damp towels and emptied the bin! We paid double normal price as it was over July 1st. Just not worth it.

Best thing I can say about a motel is that there were no surprises. Just ckean room, and all equipment in good condition. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful. They're not all like this folks.

Amazing! It’s nice and close to many restaurants and especially close to the airport for short taxi fares. Definitely will stay here again in the future :D

Hello, I am writing to share some feedback regarding a recent interaction I had with the front desk team at the Comfort Inn in Thunder Bay. I originally called to inquire about a room booking, but unfortunately had to cancel the reservation due to an accessibility issue involving elevator access that did not meet my needs. The situation was frustrating on my end, but the staff member I spoke with handled everything with outstanding professionalism and understanding. What really stood out was that he went far beyond what I expected. After I cancelled the booking, he took the initiative to assist me in finding an alternative hotel in the area that could better accommodate my accessibility requirements. He quickly checked multiple options, evaluated them with me in real time, and clearly explained which ones would or would not work. He ultimately found a suitable room at another hotel (Howard Johnson), including wheelchair accessibility and a roll-in shower, and arranged the full booking transfer for me directly. This saved me a significant amount of time and stress, and I have genuinely never experienced that level of proactive assistance when dealing with hotel reservations. He turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a very positive experience, and I believe this level of service deserves to be recognized.

We would have liked an elevator. If we had known there was none, we wouldn't have stayed there. Hallways very dirty. No vending machines and snacks for purchase in the lobby were very sparse.

I think staff was wonderful. It’s not fancy but very good. I’m not much for breakfast but coffee, muffins was good for me

Our room was located next door (with a door between) to a group of student athletes. They were quite noisy and the adjoining door did not help. Could not this group of athletes have been put in rooms away from other guests?

Hotel stay was and room was good but they did advertise guest laundry facilities however they were not in service.

It was a great start to the evening with the gentleman helping and being courteous with us. The place was nice, however the morning wasn’t so great with the other staff as she followed my girlfriend and cousin around when he came to visit before we had to leave that day. She made us feel very uncomfortable.

The hotel was just ok. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Upon arrival a member of the front desk staff was behind the counter looking very unkept. Long, unruly hair which should have been neatly tied back. Not a very good impression to present to the public especially in the hospitality field! The carpets in the hallway were disgusting! Smelly and full of stains! The picture representing the hotel on Expedia was not what the exterior of the hotel looked like. Picture looked to be a modern hotel (Red & Grey in colour). Hotel was beige/pale yellow looking. I impressed with those aspects of the hotel.

Pillows were terrible. Room smelled like a sweaty gym. Shower curtain smelled bad. Carpets were dirty in the hallways. Front desk staff wasn't very welcoming.

The room was newly renovated and very nice. It was clean, very comfortable, nice and quiet. Enjoyed the room. Didn’t like the parking area way at the back but we were able to park near the door. I would stay there again.

Older motel that is a bit run down, but it is clean and is comfortable

Asked them to fix several times the AC. Worked all night for three nights. No maintenance guy. Hot or cold. Room 105. Noisy and unacceptable

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice upgraded shower. Accomodated my large dog for a cleaning fee (pretty standard). Location on the first floor with a patio door to grassy area with picnic tables and dog relief was greatly appreciated.

Hallway carpet needs to be replaced. Quite stained. Guest laundry was out of order.

The hallway wreaked with the smell of marijuana, the room smelled like wet dog and pee.

$250 plus tax for a terrible room in Thunder Bay. Unfinished walls, garbage around the property. Noisy room fan that could not be turned off. Absolutely horrible. Won’t return.

Way to expensive for what you get

I’ve stayed at this comfort inn a few times. Check-ins have always been quick and the front staff helpful. Rooms have been nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. They provide a breakfast and snacks for purchase at the front. Parking is good and the checkouts just as quick and easy. Great stay away from home!

The front desk agents went above and beyond. Brought cutlery right to my room for me.

The breakfast was frustrating. In a rush to get on the road and it seems the staff eating takes priority over the guests. Bringing out 2 slices of bacon at a time is a waste of time. Delayed our departure by over 30 minutes waiting for food.

The mattress & pillows were very comfy. Breakfast was very good . Location to our family was handy, easy access off the main highway.

Hallway carpets were in need of a bath, difficult thing to keep clean we realize from living in an apartment where the halls get a lot of wear and tear.

Hotel was clean and quiet. No elevator to second floor. Breakfast area was small but adequate.

Overall the hotel was good. Although we had a non-smoking room, we could smell smoke and marijuana in the hall and stairwell. The room was clean and the checkout staff was friendly. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, bacon, taters, toast, danishes, waffle station and other items. That’s was good start of day.

This is a great value stay. Recently updated and it is a bit better than the standard continental breakfast. I recommend.
