Clean comfortable hotel with excellent restaurant.

We loved the location, the room, the view, the staff, the pool! We loved the lobby and how impressive it was. Even Youppi! loved it as you can see in the photos! 5 stars!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was exceptional from start to finish. Even though we checked in very late, the front desk staff was incredibly understanding, thoughtful, and accommodating. They handled everything smoothly and even took the time to personally show us to our room. Room service was prompt and brought us extra blankets right away. The bed was super comfortable, and the hotel is in a very convenient location for getting around. We will definitely choose to stay here again!

Loved that it was close to the Roger Stadium. The restaurant in the hotel was very nice. The breakfast and dinner was good.

We booked a couples massage at the spa. The massage was very good however the amenities like the pool, outdoor deck and hot tub was subpar. The pool and hot tub area was for the entire hotel. It lacked the luxury spa feel that is advertised by the IHG.

Check in was a bit slow. The parking garage was not my favourite. The load out from the import fest at the Convention Centre was absolutely atrocious between 10PM-Midnight and a heads up would have been nice. I get that you have no control over what happens at the convention centre but this isn’t the first import fest so a heads up regarding the excessive noise when we checked in would have been nice.

The room was comfortable and my husband enjoyed his buffet breakfast. Location was close to Union Station.

We were extremely annoyed that the receptionist presented us with a letter stating that an extra $25.00 daily amenity fee, plus tax, would be charged to “enhance our experience” to make our stay “exceptional.” We were only there from late afternoon until 9.30am and didn’t use any facility except the room. I shall be writing a review on other sites advising Australians about the extra cost in an already expensive hotel.

Our trip to Toronto was truly unforgettable, and our stay at the InterContinental made it even more special! I booked our stay very last minute, but from the moment we arrived, everything was superb. We were so grateful that they were able to accommodate us with an early check-in, especially after a long and tiring day. The level of service throughout our stay was exceptional. Everyone we encountered, from the front desk to the bell desk and even the security guard, was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and willing to go above and beyond. I unfortunately didn’t get everyone’s names, but I want to recognize Evangeline, Daniel, and Saboo for their wonderful service. And a huge shout-out to DAVID at the front desk! He was absolutely the best. He was so welcoming, friendly, helpful, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. His amazing service really stood out and made such a great impression on us. Thank you to the entire InterContinental team for making our Toronto trip even more memorable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again! ❤️

My wife and I stayed at the InterContinental Toronto on August 23 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and David at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, David was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. We mentioned we were going to see Mamma Mia! and he was knowledgeable about ABBA, which made our conversation especially fun. He arranged an advanced check-in for us and, as a wonderful surprise, had complimentary sparkling wine and desserts sent to our room. We had a fantastic evening seeing Mamma Mia! and having dinner at the CN Tower, but David’s thoughtfulness added an extra special touch to our anniversary celebration. It’s people like David who make a hotel stay go from simply enjoyable to exceptional. His genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and personal touch were outstanding. The InterContinental is very fortunate to have someone like him representing the hotel. Thank you, David, for helping make our 30th anniversary so special. We won’t forget your kindness! ❤️🥂

Great location and nice property but inept front desk staff detracted from being an excellent stay. Highlights: - Wonderful location walking distance to a lot especially to Rogers Centre - Nice view of the CN tower - Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable - Nice atrium breakfast - Had an indoor pool and spa - Gave us a small water bottle each day Lowlights: - Staff (customer facing): no one knew what was going on and everyone gave different information. Horrible customer service that is unacceptable at a hotel of this caliber and for a lack of care for patrons even as a loyal diamond customer. Examples -- On check in for 1 of our 2 rooms, they didn't have the room available we had booked. This is after we had called the night before to speak to customer service to add on a name of a guest so that room should have been properly accounted for. -- They said our other room had lounge access but not that first one. Both on that floor and booked by the same person. Upon going to the lounge, we were denied access for either one. -- When requesting a late check out at the front desk the night before, a friendly front desk staff said as Diamond we could stay til 4pm and no problem. Upon getting out key to get back to our room later that next day, they said we couldn't do that and even 3pm shouldn't have been provided. -- Found an envelope in our room from the hotel with someone else's full name on it and welcome letter which has to be a privacy issue as well as inability to prepare properly. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is top notch. David at check in took great care of us and gave us the upgrade of a lifetime. Peter in the bar gave us so many great tips for the town and we did every one of them!

Lors de notre arrivée, l'employé nous a offre de passer en classe supérieur. Nous lui avons demandé si c'était un extra et ll'employé nous a dit je l'espere (i wish). Nous pensons qu'il s'agissait d'un surclassement, mais non nous avons eu une facture de 75$ + frais = 118 pour le surclassement. L'employer nous a jamais expliquer tout ca et les prix. Nous aavons eu l'impression de nous avoir fait avoir.

David checked us into the hotel and made our children feel extremely welcomed! He gave them each a stuffed animal and talked them through the fancy water available in the lobby (he even laughed politely when my son told him it was weird). He was so friendly and such a welcoming presence to have at the check in counter. The rest of our stay was lovely as well. The room was clean and well stocked with things we could need! Highly recommend.

The indoor pool is very dirty around the edge and the atmosphere suffocating

Location, location, location.....says it all!!! Peter and Will at the Azure Lounge are top notch, give those guys a bonus for sure!!!! Been going there for 20 years or so and somehow they remember US out of ALL the folks they see!!! Rooms are top notch too, clean and comfy and not small, just right for the people who rent the rooms!! Right location for a sporting event, concert or theatre or just to hang out downtown....restaurants are everywhere and Little italy is a short cab ride away as are Greektown, Little India and Chinatown. You can get a better venue than this for amenities, location and price...can't be done!!! We love you guys!!!

I m writing to share my feedback regarding my current stay at this property. While I appreciated the excellent location and the overall cleanliness of my room, I experienced a series of service breakdowns that do not align with the standards of a high-end brand.My primary concern is a lack of communication regarding my reservation. Upon arriving at my room, I discovered that my booked King room had been switched to a room with two double beds. This change was made without consulting me in advance, and it was not mentioned by the front desk staff during check-in.When I sought clarification at 8:00 AM the following morning, the front desk agent could not explain the change and assured me a manager would contact me later that day. Unfortunately, I received no updates. When I followed up at 7:00 PM—after waiting 12 hours—the evening agent asked if I had requested the change. Eventually, I was told the swap likely happened because the hotel ran out of King rooms. While I understand that inventory challenges occur, handling this without prior notice or transparency at check-in is highly unprofessional.Furthermore, when I explained that moving to a King room at 7:00 PM was pointless since I was departing early the next morning, I was told a manager would follow up with me again the next day. When I noted that I was checking out at 6:30 AM, the agent mentioned that a manager is on duty 24 hours a day. This raises an troubling question: if a manager is always available, why was my request ignored for 12 hours, forcing me to wait overnight for a simple explanation?I am not writing this to ask for a discount or compensation. I am simply looking for an explanation as to why this happened, why the follow-up was entirely neglected, and whether this unannounced modification of reservations is a standard practice at your property.Additionally, as a minor point regarding attention to detail, I noticed that the mug used to serve me at the food and beverage outlet was not properly cleaned. Not a big deal, guests rightfully expect flawless execution when staying at a premium hotel.I look forward to hear the reply tomorrow morning. Hope before I am heading out on the flight

I did not like that I paid 600 dollars plus for a room that would not accommodate a extra cot or blanket without a charge of 30 dollars..I didn't like that there was no bath tub only a shower with no pressure..no fridge to use or your paying for it and the door adjoining the room kept rattling oh and the best getting woken up at 9 by someone to check to make sure we didn't eat the 6 dollar chocolate bars or drink the 6 dollar pop never again will I ever use this hotel I'll go down the street seriously no comp for a breakfast unless they charge you 60 and they pass you a note that says 25.00 plus tax extra for laundry and wifi never ever again I would rather sleep outside

I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. I booked two rooms for over $1,000 per night and clearly specified during the reservation that both rooms had to be on the same floor because my children would be staying in one of them. I even received confirmation that this request had been noted and accommodated. My reservation clearly stated that check-in was at 4:00 PM, with the option to request an early check-in. We arrived at 12:00 PM and requested an early check-in. The hotel agreed and charged me for it. We were given one room, while we were told that the second room would be ready shortly. At 2:00 PM, I returned to the front desk and was told the second room would be ready within an hour. At 4:00 PM, the hotel’s official check-in time, the second room was still unavailable. I was then told that the key would be brought to my room within 20 minutes. By 4:45 PM, no one had shown up. I had to go back to the front desk yet again just to get the key myself. Their solution was to refund the early check-in fee, acknowledging that I had not received the service I paid for regarding the second room. They also offered to waive the amenity fee, a charge that had never been disclosed during the booking process. The worst part, however, was the attitude of the front desk employee. When I pointed out that my reservation clearly stated a 4:00 PM check-in, he arrogantly replied, “It’s from 4:00 PM, not at 4:00 PM.” I then asked, “So by your logic, you could give me my room at 10:00 PM?” His answer was simply: “Yes.” He then turned his back on me and walked away into the back office without another word. Delays can happen. I understand that. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication, repeatedly giving inaccurate information, charging guests for a premium service while failing to deliver it as promised, and treating customers with such disrespect. When you pay over $1,000 per night, you expect professionalism, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Instead, I spent nearly five hours waiting for a room that should have been available by the guaranteed check-in time, while having to chase the staff multiple times for updates. This experience fell far below the standards I expected from an InterContinental property. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will seriously reconsider staying at any InterContinental hotel in the future.

Room was well equipped and very clean. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was superb especially the cooker for the eggs/omelettes. The bar staff were extremely helpful and service was excellent. The hotel was very quiet. On arrival with the car it wasn’t very evident where to go to check-in.

- Excellent location in the heart of downtown Toronto. - Convenient access to major attractions and public transportation.

- The hotel and rooms are showing their age and no longer meet the standard we expect from an InterContinental property. - Poor soundproofing, especially in rooms with connecting doors, making it easy to hear noise from neighbouring rooms. - Check-in at 4:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m. leave guests with relatively little time to enjoy the room. - Limited flexibility regarding late check-out and, in our opinion, a lack of transparent communication. - The front desk staff came across as rather distant and not particularly guest-oriented. We felt that policies and upselling were given greater priority than genuine hospitality.

Intercontinental Toronto is located in the city centre and next to the financial district, and a 30-minute train ride from the airport, YYZ. The lobby area boasts the restaurant, bar and coffee shop in addition to the reception. The club lounge is on the 8th floor and serves breakfast, all day tea and coffee, and evening canapés and drinks. There are some stunning views from the lounge of downtown Toronto. On the third floor is the fitness centre and full service spa. The gym has a good mix of machines and weights for a workout on the go. The rooms are spacious and has both a good working area and nice social seating. Get a corner room for some nice views. The hotel is minutes away from shopping, restaurants and sightseeing and attractions! You have easy access to all forms of public transport from the hotel making it an excellent choice for exploring Toronto.

I had a pretty hectic weekend with two different sets of meetings at two different hotels in 3 days at the beginning of May. I left behind a computer charger and only realized the next day. Fortunately, it had been turned in by housekeeping. I was able to retrieve it two weeks later for another business meeting. Thanks to the team who made this happen!

Great stay at the InterContinental Toronto! The location is excellent and right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around. Check-in was smooth, and I especially want to thank the parking staff and Fernando at the front desk for their outstanding hospitality, truly made our stay more enjoyable and memorable. Our room was in excellent condition, and we really enjoyed the river and CN Tower views. The gym is a bit limited, but it was clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool has a nice atmosphere with its glass ceiling and outdoor patio, although the patio was unfortunately closed during our visit. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The Club Lounge exceeded our expectations, offering excellent service, great food, and a relaxing environment. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are far to expensive for what is involved. I understand with the soccer stuff going on and the location of the hotel and that being toronto but way to expansive. I was hoping for a regular fridge and a microwave especially when travelling with children. Never figured out the TV without another charge. Never got a chance to see or try the pool as this was only an overnight stay

The Pool etc facilities in the spa area is quite dated and disappointing. Checkin was busy and seemed a bit slow. When a number of people arrived for breakfast there seemed to be a struggle amongst staff on how to quickly seat folks. Staff were excellent but probably the organizing needs to be examined.
