Unkomplizierter Check-in und check-out. Großes, geräumiges Zimmer und bequemes Bett und kuschelige Bettdecke. Gut ausgestattete Unterkunft und nettes Personal.

Die Anlagen hinterm Haus sind etwas störend von der Lautstärke (auch mit dem Hinweis, dass Badezimmerfenster und -tür geschlossen werden sollten). Es hätte insgesamt etwas sauberer sein können.

Heel mooi uitzicht en kamer van alles voorzien.

Our studio was well equipped with everything you need. A few minutes drive to Swellendam. A.shop on the premise with liquer tasting and loads of bottled goodies. Well worth the visit.

Prima locatie, net buiten Swellendam. Wel het laatste stuk over een onverharde weg met grote kuilen. In de zomer (Zuid-Afrikaanse winter) niet zo prettig als het donker wordt.

Cottage is netjes, maar erg gedateerd. Zowel de bedden als de meubelen, de keuken en de badkamer. Appartement is nieuwer. Wij gebruikten het alleen als overnachting, daarvoor voldoet het. Maar wij zouden er zelf niet langer blijven.

We had a wonderful stay at Wildebraam Berry Estate. We were only there for one night, but would have happily stayed longer. The setting is beautiful and wonderfully peaceful, with horses, ducks, cows and sheep our only visible neighbours. We also enjoyed a complimentary liqueur tasting at the farm stall in reception. A picturesque and relaxing stay that recharged the batteries in no time – highly recommended!

Wir können den Tasting Room auf der Farm mit den lokalen Produkten empfehlen. Richtiges Countryside Feeling mit vielen Tieren drumherum und Bergblick. Großes Zimmer mit Sitzecke und gut ausgestatteter Küchenzeile. AC mit Wärmefunktion.

Wir hatten Probleme, die Feuchtigkeit aus der Wohnung und vor allem aus dem Badezimmer zu bekommen. Wir hätten uns über einen Föhn gefreut. Badezimmer relativ düster.

Beautiful surroundings

The location is amazing and the stars were wonderful. The rooms are simple and clean but a bit dated and all of them have outdoor seating to enjoy the outdoors. We got small samples of the farm products. :-)

The room had everything we needed . They even supplied charcoal ,blitz and matches for the braai. There was enough blankets for us and the kids.

Minor maintenance work, for example the cold water tap in bathroom is loose. I bought two extra bags of wood. It never arrived. When I mentioned it to the young man on duty when we left, he said sorry and that was that.

Our stay at Wildebraam Berry Estate was absolutely wonderful, and we already can't wait to come back. The estate is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery, making it the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. One of the biggest highlights for us was its close proximity to Marloth Nature Reserve. We enjoyed several incredible hikes during our stay, and it was such a pleasure returning to the estate after a day spent exploring the mountains and trails. We also loved starting and ending each day with long walks around the estate, soaking up the fresh country air and the beautiful surroundings. It really is a place where you can slow down, unwind, and appreciate the simple things. A visit to the Wildebraam Berry Estate shop is a must! It's filled with an amazing selection of homemade jams, preserves, syrups, liqueurs, and so many other delicious local treats. We couldn't leave without taking a few favourites home with us. Thank you for such a memorable stay. We left feeling refreshed, with wonderful memories and every intention of returning. We can wholeheartedly recommend Wildebraam Berry Estate to anyone looking for a peaceful escape just outside Swellendam.

Surroundings not clean. Didn't look the same on the photos. Reception - not a good impression.

Spacious rooms/unit

No gate at entrance or safety gate at unit only a sliding door.

The apartment was neat, clean, very well equipped kitchen (cooked dinners both nights of our stay), the location was breathtaking, heaters and extra blankets were provided, it was quiet and very close to town, trails and parkrun.

De prijs-kwaliteit was erg goed. De host was erg behulpzaam en reageerde snel op vragen. Ook was het binnen niet-roken wat wij erg fijn vonden. Er was airconditioning die als verwarming gebruikt kon worden. Erg schoon en een ruime badkamer. Ervoor een leuk terras, maar daar hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Alles was goed!

Super comfortable beds, hot shower, big fridge, quiet and dark in the evening, beautiful mountain scenery. It is a working farm, with a tasting room below the accommodation, so it is quiet and private between 5:30pm and 7:30am.

Neighbouring accommodation (separated by a wall) seemingly moved furniture around a lot, which was noisy. But they stopped around 10 and only started up again around 8 am.

It was a lovely experience walking around the farm and really friendly staff. Easy access to N2 and the town.

In my humble opinion...the room should be painted a lighter colour!

The location was amazing allowing us to walk to Marloth Nature Reserve and it is rural rural while just on the border of Swellendam. It is peaceful, with very helpful friendly staff and great value for money.

Appartement gut ausgestattet. Klimaanlage funktioniert leider nicht. Radiator zum heizen vorhanden. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Schöner Grill auf der Terasse, Kohle und alles was man braucht vorhanden. Leckere Marmelade zu kaufen.

Leider keine Sonne im Apartment, auch nicht auf der Terasse. Allerhöchstens im Bad, dort aber sehr laut aufgrund der Kühlgeräte im Hof.. Insgesamt unpersönlicher Empfang und keine Betreuung, da im Firmengebäude.

Thank you for the excellent staff that tried to make out stay as comfortable as possible during the worst storm in 25 years! The whole town had no elec, but they gave us a gas stove, gas heater, emergency light and helped in any way they could, under very difficult circumstances. Love shop as well, with lots of delicious liqueurs, jams, relishes and more. Bought some nice gifts there. Will be back. :)

Nothing - a bit miserable having no elec and no wifi or TV, but nobody could have foreseen the storm we experienced, with over 140 km/h winds! They def did their best.

I loved the location. We were surrounded by greenery on a luscious Berry farm. The whole ambience of the place is just lovely and has a sort of old-style charm with modern beauty. The beds were comfortable and our cottage was spacious and clean and provided all that we needed to cater for ourselves. Also loved the fact that there were so many really good choices for restaurants so close by

It would be nice to have a small table in the bathroom to place one's clothes on.

Gorgeous rooms. Very close to parkrun and swellendam town. Tasting room of wildebraam is below. Super comfy beds. Fab bathroom! All you need in kitchen. Friendly staff.

We really like the room it was spacious and lovely, also the setting was fantastic, nestled in the hilltops it was wonderful. The farm itself was lovely along with the produce. The room had lots of amenities.

All over the room there were references to how much you would owe if you broke anything- which made it seem less personal. The check-in was okay, the Whatsapp was good and good you can grab the key after dark, but we had been spoilt previously with fantastic check-ins, and personal touches. It would have been nice for them to have shown us around the apartment.

We were two couples and discovered that we had to share 1 x room which was not acceptable, we slept in our caravan as there was no other alternative. The booking lady should have pointed this out to us as the couples is not family.

The location, the photos are a true reflection of the accommodation. The lady at reception is an asset to the venue, she is super helpful.

Beautiful location with Mountain View’s. Our room had everything you could need. They have a tasting shop just down the road with all local produce to try.

Although we were mostly out every day, we enjoyed our stay and restfull evenings. The surroundings are beautiful and the garden suite was well equipped and tastefully decorated. Great value for money.

Old fashioned, rustic comfortable Ver quiet.

Berry Cottage is surrounded by beautiful mountain views that create a truly peaceful and scenic escape. The farm setting was lovely and the beds were clean and comfortable.

There was an unpleasant smell that was noticeable throughout the accommodation. The couches also didn’t appear or feel very clean, although the beds were comfortable and well kept. There was no gate at the main entrance, we felt it was safer to keep the windows closed at night.

The property is beautiful and it's a short drive to town. Also the jams were amazing.

The bathroom had a bit of a smell and the house smells slightly of smoke but that comes with having a fireplace.

The feeling of living on a farm

Het appartement wat wij hadden was erg klein, maar verder was alles aanwezig. Tegen betaling was er een goed ontbijt. Er was gelukkig ook airco.

The aircons and compressors of the wine cellar makes a lot of noise and disruped my sleep.

What a little gem of a place. We loved our stay at Wildebraam Estate. The unit exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. In view of the current drought and water restrictions, We really appreciated the steps they had in place for conserving water. Overall - a great experience!
