Everything was very well equipped, from tea and coffee to drinking water and toiletries. Even a hot water bottle was provided, which added such a cozy and caring touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. I especially loved the beautiful view over the horse paddock across the way, which made the whole setting feel peaceful and grounding. The fireplace area was another highlight and perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Parking felt safe and convenient, and the overall atmosphere was calm and secure. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional guest service. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. For me, this was a perfect stay and I would absolutely come back.

Disfrutamos mucho del tiempo que pasamos en la terraza observando las vistas. La habitación que nos tocó era un pequeño alojamiento con cocina y salón. Estuvimos muy tranquilos. Es una zona de campo.
Hay que llevar antifaz para dormir ya que por las cristaleras de la casa entra luz.

Das Haus ist etwas verwinkelt, was den besonderen Charme nur noch unterstreicht, und alles ist liebevoll sowie sehr einladend gestaltet. Die Küche ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, doch die grossartige Aussicht und der bereits vorbereitete Grill machen das mehr als wett. Besonders genossen haben wir die Ruhe, den Pool und den wunderschönen grünen Garten – ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und Verweilen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wo sollen wir anfangen. Zunächst ist es ein schönes Anwesen, welches man mit Pflege und Instandhaltung zu etwas großartigen ausbauen könnte. Es ist absolut in die Jahre gekommen. Türen quietschen oder können nicht normal geschlossen werden. Der Pool ist total dreckig und unnütz. Die Küche ist wie vom Sperrmüll inklusive der Utensilien, welche sich schon auflösen da sie so kaputt sind. Das Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig und wenn sich über uns jemand im Bett umgedreht hat, ist unser Baby wach geworden.

De hygiëne kon wat ons betreft beter, ook het zwembad zag er niet schoon uit. Hierdoor hebben wij er geen gebruik van gemaakt. Dit staat in de omschrijving dus niks wat je niet van tevoren kan weten maar houd er rekening mee dat er geen airco is. Bij ons was het heel warm buiten dus moeilijk koel te krijgen binnen.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2026Tolle Lage und Aussicht auf das umliegende Gebiet. Die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und bietet auf den ersten Blick einen malerischen Anblick. Außerdem hat der Besitzer den Grill für Braai vorbereitet, was sehr nett war.
Leider war die Unterkunft sehr abgewohnt. Gleich beim Betreten der Suite kam einem ein unangenehmer, muffig, modriger Geruch entgegen. Außerdem war die Unterkunft nicht sehr sauber. Der Boden hätte eine dringende Reinigung benötigt, wenn man im Schlafzimmer die Lampe anmachte, sah man die toten Insekten darin. Die Möbel waren sehr abgewohnt und fielen teilweise auseinander. Die Liegen im Garten waren teilweise sehr stark mit Vogelkot verschmutzt und auch im Pool schwammen viele Fremdkörper herum.

The fresh milk, coffee, and tea were a lovely and thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The venue itself is beautiful, with tastefully furnished and spacious rooms. The private outdoor areas added to the comfort and homely feel of the stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back and for longer.
We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the overall experience. There are just a few small things we wanted to mention that may help improve the venue for future guests: The TV in our room was unfortunately not working properly (black and white picture, and the DStv and DVD player did not work). Luckily, we had a second room and could use the TV there. The dogs at the chalet below the pool barked quite a bit, which was a bit disruptive at times, especially given how peaceful the property is. The toilet pipes were quite noisy after flushing and may need some attention. We share this purely as constructive feedback and hope it helps. Thank you again for hosting us

We stayed in the rustic cottage which was lovely but it just didn't feel clean enough. Too many cobwebs and dead insects everywhere. There was also an electrical issue which we experienced (appliances in the kitchen gave us electric shocks) and this basically took an entire day to fix - however we understand that this was not in control of the owner, George, who very kindly offered us a free weekend to make up for this. Personally, I feel this little cottage is a liability to this wonderful establishment as the rest of the house looks great.

The cottage we stayed in didn't have a can opener nor a braai dish. Also one one fan for upstairs and downstairs. Unfortunately the kitchen sink was leaking...I am only telling you this in case you dont know ...otherwise everyone agreed everything else was perfect👌
