The pool area and beach are beautiful and well maintained. We also really enjoyed renting e-bikes and playing tennis, which was affordable and very easy to arrange. The lunch buffet was good and reasonably priced, and the small hotel shop was very useful given the limited food options nearby.

Unfortunately, the high Booking.com rating did not match our experience. We paid around CHF 1,100 for five nights and expected much more from a five-star hotel. The entire property feels very dated, with stained carpets, outdated rooms and a strong moldy smell in our bathroom. The shutters did not properly block the light, so the room was already bright around 6:30 a.m. The food options were limited and relatively expensive, and one of the advertised restaurants was closed. Breakfast was okay but surprisingly limited, and despite having breakfast included, we had to take a ticket and wait 10–20 minutes for a table every morning. There is also no proper hotel bar. The poolside outlet was cash-only, could not charge purchases to the room, and there was no ATM nearby. Overall, the standard simply did not match the five-star positioning, price or Booking rating.

La grandeur des chambres, le personnel est super, la piscine est grande et les chaises de la piscine sont confortables. Très bon petit déjeuner. Stationnement peu coûteux et près de l'hôtel. Personnel très efficace et accommodant. Ont fourni un deshumidificateur car très humide et un ventilateur pour aider la climatisation.

Les chaises sur la plage sont inconfortables. La plage est rockailleuse (pas de sable blanc comme sur les photos). L'attente non nécessaire pour avoir une table au déjeuner alors qu'il y a plusieurs tables libres (35 min attente - 8 tables de libres...). De plus, le restaurant est jusqu'à 10h, mais aucun accès possible après 9h30 et ils ramassent tout à 9h45. Prix de l'hôtel est cher pour ce qu'il offre. En effet, un peu viellot et aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement. Air climatisé limité. Pas de rideaux dans la chambre donc dès le lever du soleil, il y a beaucoup de lumière dans la chambre. Les visiteurs réservent des chaises à la piscine et ne viennent pas...

Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Das Essen war super und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich hier wirklich willkommen. Auch der Strand und der Pool waren, außer das Srandgebäude, bestens und sehr schön.

Das Hotel ist leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt durchaus einiges das man verschönern und renovieren könnte. Besonders der Garten, das Hotel außen und die Zimmer könnten eine Auffrischung gebrauchen. Auch die Flure und der Aufzug wirken nicht mehr zeitgemäß (besonders die Teppiche) und sollten getauscht bzw. erneuert werden.

The beach was good for Japan. Safe due to screened off area to prevent stingers. View from our room beautiful. Good for families too. Staff ere very helpful - both of us need to see local doctor during our stay and they arranged appointments in Japanese for us.

I thought the restaurants were overpriced. Buffet dinners were around $AU 150 for 2 people. We chose to eat at some local restaurants outside of the resort on a few occasions for cheaper meals.

Beautiful property, lovely live music in evening by the pool. Exceptional buffer for dinner and breakfast.

部屋によってアメニティーが違う。最低限の乳液、綿棒等なかったのは信じ難い、 レストランハナハナで従業員がお客様とぶつかりそうになっても、知らないふりをする。私自身も2人にされました。 海での対応。 遊泳できないところでの注意の仕方。泳ぎたければ隣へ行ってくださいと言われましたが、 潮が満ちてきたので危険ですので、お上がりください。と言うのが正しい言い方と思いました。

Rooms were large and very comfortable. Beds great.

Outside everything was run-down and needed lots of maintenance.

このホテルが開業した時に利用したが、建物は30年近くなるのに、キレイに整備されていて快適だった。ビーチにもすぐに行けるし、水着のまま館内を歩けたりするので便利だった。清掃も基本清掃をお願いしたが、外出してる間にキレイにしてくれて気持ちよく過ごせたのが良かったし、よく気配りのできるスタッフさんだった。廊下ですれ違っても挨拶してくれるので、ほんとに気持ちよい対応だった。

フロント、ベルスタッフなど、夏休み期間で忙しいのはわかるが、対応が不十分だった。レストラン予約をするように言われて電話をしても、全く出ないので、ベルデスクに電話したら、折り返し連絡します！って逆キレされたりと不快なことがあった。あと会員ナンバーをいちいち言わないといけないのが面倒で、オンラインで共通に見れないのかな？と思って、割引やポイントなんてどうでもよくなってしまった。食事会場ではメニューもほぼ変わらずだったので、飽きてきてしまったのと、料理を取るトングが非常に使いにくいため、みんなそれで時間がかかっていたり、トースターの数が少ないために行列になったりしたので、バンもトーストしなかった。あとは朝、コーヒーサービスがあるのだが、子供さんたちが触ったりしたのか、コーヒーが溢れていたりして、コップをセットできなかったりしたので、そこも時々は気にして欲しかった…。下善するのが早すぎてゆっくり食べれなかったこと。など、ハード面は良かったが、ソフト面でもう少し改善してもらいたいなぁと、スタッフの方々の表情も暗いので、リゾートホテルなんだし、おもてなしをする側の人間が 明るくないと、それにあまり挨拶をするということがなかったので、ホテルの風潮なのかなぁと。開業した当初はほんとに良かったので、その印象があって訪れたのだが時代の流れなのかなぁと、少し残念な気持ちになりました。しかしながら全体としては良いホテルなのでは？と 思います。

Un resort che offe molti servizi su una spiaggia davvero meravigliosa. L'ampia camera familiare aveva una bellissima vista sulla spiaggia ed una stanza da bagno molto spaziosa. Abbiamo usufruito della colazione: ottima. Avevo letto di difficoltà nell'accesso alla colazione nei 3 ristoranti dell'hotel (code) ma credo sia un problema di comprensione del meccanismo di prenotazione da parte di ospiti "distratti"; il sistema è ben organizzato e non ho mai dovuto attendere più di 10 minuti. Piacevole anche l'intrattenimento musicale a bordo piscina.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ganz gut. Es gibt direkten Strandzugang und viele Restaurants und Ausflugsziele sind mit dem Mietwagen schnell zu erreichen.

Trotz Buchungssystem muss man ca. 45-60 Minuten auf das Frühstück warten. Das Hotel ist sehr alt und muffig. Es wirkt insgesamt sehr ungepflegt. Es gibt keinerlei Angebote/Aktivitäten vom Hotel aus organisiert. Für ein zweit Sterne Hotel mit einem sehr günstigen Preis wäre das hinnehmbar. Keinesfalls aber für ein fünf Sterne Hotel in dieser Preisklasse. Wir würden keinesfalls wieder kommen und empfehlen es nicht weiter.

About 1 hour+ from the airport. The hotel has an overall distinctive style, almost like a huge Spanish villa. Very impressive. There was a food truck by the pool with great cocktails and good value for money. The beach was gorgeous, the pool was large and beautiful, and our room was very spacious. We had to leave earlier than planned due to a typhoon, and we were refunded for the remaining nights. Thanks again!

The hotel felt a bit dated, and some staff had difficulty with English. Breakfast was available at several local spots, but it was completely overcrowded. You had to take a number and wait to be let into the room, and we once waited 45 minutes. There were a lot of rooms for relatively few resources.

Bisogna inserirsi in una waiting list ogni mattina con molto anticipo per poter fare colazione. Il servizio SPA non è adeguato al numero di residenti nella struttura (funziona solo il pomeriggio ed è sempre fully booked).

It had a lovely beach.

Ok so this place needs some maintenance, it’s old, needs a water blast, a paint and mow the lawns! The QR code system for booking breakfast is a shambles, it doesn’t work, the first day there was a 80 min wait for breakfast so we didn’t have any, took a cab to ‘89 Cafe’ which is a 10 min cab ride and that was the highlight of the stay! We went back again…. When you arrive there’s no bar to have a cocktail in the sun, there’s an old fashioned lounge with cakes and a few drinks, a food truck is near the pool which opens at 1pm. We didn’t get our room cleaned once, we were there 5 days, they came around about 4.30pm which at that time we were back in our room freshening up. Good shower. Of course the people are really lovely.

La spiaggia. La sabbia non è morbida e ci sono molti coralli entrando, ma è ampia ed è facile trovare posto negli ombrelloni e lettini a disposizione. L’acqua è chiara e pulita. La rete di protezione è un’imposizione che non permette di goderne appieno (e non saprai mai se è esagerata rispetto ai rischi reali).

Più di un’ora di attesa per poter fare colazione, come minimo. Un’ora buttata in ognuno dei tuoi giorni di vacanza perché sono incapaci di gestire gli spazi rispetto al numero di ospiti. Inaccettabile. La struttura e le camere sono vecchie, maltenute e mal pulite. Il ristorante, se mai ti venisse in mente di provarlo la sera, è carissimo e di pessima qualità e servizio.

Vraiment mais vraiment loin de tout! Très difficile de manger en dehors de l’hôtel. Inscription sur liste d’attente pour le petit déjeuner, somme toute correct. A moins de ne pas bouger de l’hôtel, cela peut être un bon choix.

The sea view balcony and the room size.

The pool area and the beach area need to be redone. It is not 5 start standard. Also the price was really high for what the hotel quality. The rooms need to be freshen up as well as the Comman areas. Also the restaurants were old fashioned. Nothing like makes you think you are in Okinawa. And the beach restaurant is a terrible. Impossible to get some healthy food for lunch.

台風にあたって外へ出ることができなかったので　朝食をランチに変えてもらってゆっくりたっぷり食べられてくつろげた。子供たち2家族と合計3室を取り　8人で過ごしたが部屋がゆったりしていたので部屋の中で楽しめた。台風の真ん中にあたったので屋外プールや外の散歩ができず閉じ込められ状態だったが　屋内プールやトレジャーハンティング　クラフト教室などで孫たちは楽しんでいた。アリビラで家族集合を始めて6年ぐらいになるが　いつものホテルという感覚がいい。

掃除の回数が少なく　食器を交換してもらえなかったので　不便だった。特に今回は台風で部屋に閉じ込められたので食器の使用が頻繁だったので強く感じた。

Lovely beachfront hotel. Swinning pool and lovely spacious rooms.

The pool area needs better management, as people just go out at what feels like the middle of the night and reserve a lounger with a towel. You just cant get one past 7am! Also the system for breakfast is difficult. They simply dont have enough capacity. You gave to get in the breakfast queue online and wait to be called. All feels a bit frustrating in the morning.

子どもの寝相が悪いので、ベッドに関して問い合わせたところ、お部屋をアップグレードしてくださったようで、子どもたちもベッドから落ちることなく、快適に寝ることができました！ また、教会と海が素敵に見えるお部屋で、花火まで見えて…最高のお部屋でした！

zuerst hatten wir ein altes Zimmer im nicht renovierten Teil erhalten. dieses Zimmer war eine Zumutung und wir hatten sofort bei der Rezeption reklamiert und ein neues Zimmer auf dem 9. Stockwerk erhalten. Dieses Zimmer entsprach dann unseren Vorstellungen. Im Hotel gibt es einen Shop „Dia“. Hier kann man günstig Getränke, Eis und Snacks kaufen. Der Strand war nie überfüllt und man fand immer freie Liegen. Das Buffet-Essen im Hana-Hana war qualitativ sehr gut. Preislich auch OK während Mittagessen 20.- CHF Abendessen 38.- CHF.

Morgens ist die Warteschlange fürs Frühstück ziemlich lange. Man muss mit 30 Minuten anstehen rechnen. Das Hotel empfiehlt um 06:30h zum Frühstück zu kommen.. Das Hotelpersonal spricht kein Englisch. Mit Google-Translate ging es jedoch umständlicher. 90% der Besucher sind Asiaten (Südkorea, Hong-Kong, Taiwan & China). Der Hotelstrand schliesst um 18:30h! die Lifeguards zwingen jeden, aus der Meer zu kommen, da der Stand nicht mehr bewacht wird. Finde ich als Europäer total unnötig, aber so sind halt die Regeln. Der Hotelpool ist abends voll mit asiatischen Touristen, welche in Schwimmringen baden.

ER was een stukje zee afgezet met boeien en rondom het afgezette stukje was een net aangebracht. Hierdoor wat het niet goed mogelijk om te snorkelen en ook nog dieren te ontdekken. Het niveau Engels viel tegen (in heel Japan btw) , een poging om een massage te boeken is hierdoor gestrand zonder succes. Wel zeer positieve ervaring hoeveel moeite soms gedaan wordt om communicatie brug te slechten

Great hotel, our room was huge enought for 2 adukts and 2 childrens. Restaurants, front sea and swimming pool they love it. We went to the aquarium 45mn by car, snorkeling in 15mn etc

Location wise, the hotel is in an ideal place. Private access to a stunning beach with swimmable waters and beautiful scenery. The hotel itself is VERY dated so just know that going in. But the grounds are nice, pool area is very nice. Hallways and rooms smelled very musty and old, but were very clean. Beds are comfy, great amenities in the washroom (toothbrushes, hairbrushes, etc.), and nice quality pajamas. The one hotel restaurant we ate at was very mediocre and service was only ok. I would just go into town where the food and service is 20x better and much cheaper. They have a nice gift shop and convenience store on site which was very convenient, and reasonably priced. For the price and location, I would stay here again though.

The location on Nirai Beach is quite beautiful. The dining options are plentiful although as one might expect at a resort, a bit expensive.

Superb ocean view, lovely pool and beach to enjoy, great breakfast, welcoming staff, comfortable beds, great shower and hair dryer. Convenient that you could reserve breakfast restaurants and view waiting progress online. Can feel relaxed and rested and also great place to enjoy the pool and beachside.

Room is clean and tidy, but the lighting and smell slightly reflects its an aged hotel. Priceless value for the pool, beach and ocean view, and location which is middle of many tourism sites, but not great value in terms of facilities, and also requires quite a bit of expense for extra water activities. It takes some effort to understand the different grades and location of different rooms based on the description.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Our room was spacious, very quiet, and offered fantastic views of the pool, beach, and ocean. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The western breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a huge selection and excellent quality. A special thank you goes to the chef at the egg station, who remembered my wife’s preferred order after just a few days and prepared it for her without even being asked. That level of attentiveness was truly exceptional. The beach with its picturesque rock formations is beautiful, and the pool is perfect for families. The peaceful location is another plus, although you definitely need a rental car to explore Okinawa.

The hotel still has the charm of a classic grand hotel, but it is clearly showing its age. The lobby, hallways and entrance create a wonderful first impression, yet many areas are in need of renovation. By today’s standards, I would no longer rate it as a true five-star property. We noticed loose tiles in our shower, some of the sunbed cushions around the pool were mouldy, and—like in many hotels we visited in Japan—the blackout curtains were insufficient, making the room bright from around 4:30 a.m. We were also disappointed by the lack of flexibility at check-out. I asked to settle our room bill the evening before our early flight, but was told this was impossible and that I could simply come to reception from 5 a.m. onwards. That is not the level of service I would expect from a five-star hotel. Finally, while the breakfast itself was excellent, having to take a number and wait for a table during busy periods felt out of place for a hotel of this category. Likewise, the hotel restaurants did not seem to have enough capacity. We enjoyed one dinner there, but vegetarian choices were very limited considering the high prices. Nearby restaurants offered equally delicious food for a fraction of the cost.

Close to beach, nice view/sunset, location

More language friendly with international guests that speak English. We had a problem with one staff at the front desk that didn’t speak English fluently and booked us a massage incorrectly. Also, we tried to confirm a bus ticket and another staff understood that we wanted more tickets. Not a serious problem but could be much better if staff speaks English better. Staff was kind and helpful with us, in general.

Les services proposés, pas de bar, un restaurant buffet qui propose les mêmes plats chaque soir. Pas de lieu convivial pour se retrouver le soir après dîner. Et une partie lobby très sale:Tapis et canapé.

location directly on the beach was very good, but also far from public transport, which was not so good breakfast was excellent with lots of choices, Japanese and Western we used the restaurant for dinner once and also the BBQ at the beach. Food was great, but also too expensive the rooms are big and comfortable, and the balcony was niece, but could do with a blast from the pressure washer

Great location and we particularly loved the bbq restaurant on the beach

The carpet in the room was badly worn and emitted an unpleasant odor. When you enter, it smells strongly of dampness. The outdated furnitures make the room looks dirty.

The facilities had to pay for indoor pool and no bar to relax at the end of the day but worse only 2 out of 4 restaurants open, I would not recommend this hotel but have to say the staff were brilliant and friendly

The staff at this hotel were, without a doubt, the kindest, most friendliest, people we met in Japan. Everyone from the guys who met us to take our suitcase to the chefs who made our breakfast and dinner each day, just beautiful people. The location is stunning. Beautiful private beach, pool area is fantastic and has life guards on duty for extra eyes on the kids. Even had a little shop selling drinks and souvenirs. We loved it here and would recommend Okinawa and this hotel to anyone hoping to escape the chaos of the mainland for a bit.

The rooms are fine, comfortable with great views. If the carpets and cabinetry were replaced it would improve the look as they are a little dated now. However everything else about the hotel made up for it.

色々、やっていない施設やサービスが多かった

Es war ein schöner 4 tägiger Badeaufenthalt und Abschluss unserer 3 wöchigen Japanreise, der leider ins Wasser gefallen ist. Es gab trotzdem ein paar Stunden ohne Regen an denen wir den Strand genossen haben. Die Poolanlage war wunderschön. Unser Eckzimmer, Meer- und Poolblick, war ein Traum und alles war inkl..Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, Alkoholische Getränke, Obstteller, usw.. Im Bad war alles da was man braucht. Das Essen im Buffet und in den Restaurants waren sehr gut. In den Shops konnte man gut die (Regen)Zeit überbrücken ;). Das Haus ist teilweise in die Jahre gekommen, besonders im unteren Bereich wo man zum Pool kommt und der Eingang draußen ist nicht ganz so einladend, doch die Lobby und das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal entschädigt das. Wir hatten den Transfer von und zum Flughafen im Zimmer inkl. und das war ein guter Service, da das Hotel etwas weiter weg liegt und nichts extra zu organisieren war. Alles in allem war es ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt und ich empfehle es.

Ate lunch at the restaurant closest to check in. Got the pizza with sausage. I got food poisoning from it- sick for 8 hours!

The sea and the beach.

It is very old property that needs complete restauration. The organiztaion with app reservation for the breakfast creates only queue and it is crazy that when you go there so many tables that are empty especially when they close at 10. There are so less vegetarian options, i literally lost 4 kg. The meals are expensive compared to the rest of Japan. I found it so annoying that we had to ask for cleaning every day it just didn’t feel 5 star service but more like 2 stars. I like travelling a lot okinawa is nice but it’s not a place i would visit again it has such unpredictable weather i would recommend the Philippines as a service and beaches unmatched.

It was far from activities. You had to pay extra for snorkeling and equipment on the property

設備及裝潢老舊，部分公共區域甚至有許多青苔。

Schöne Hotelanlage mit großen hellen Zimmern und Balkonen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Großes Swimmingpool. Damit man flexibel beim Ausgehen ist, sollte ein Auto angemietet werden. Günstige Angebote am Flughafen.

Für Badeurlaub eher ungeeignet, wenn man im Meer baden möchte. Ziemlich teure Restaurants, wobei es günstigere Angebote vor und nach den üblichen Abendmahlzeiten gibt.

Location and the breakfast was amazing even though the wait on all 4 mornings was long.

Room was outdated

Fijn hotel niet te ver van de airport. Heerlijk strand, bedjes missen een matrasje voor het comfort. Restaurants Verdermar en Sol zijn heerlijk, wel wat prijzig. Goede service in alles restaurants, Meneer Min en meneer Nakamura en mevrouw Jessica hebben er echt alles aan gedaan om het ons zo goed mogelijk naar de zin te maken. Ontbijt is uitgebreid maar helaas kunnen ze de drukte niet aan waardoor je soms best lang moet wachten op een tafeltje. Dan trek je een nummer en word je omgeroepen. Niet perse bevorderlijk voor de vakantie vibe. Wat je je wel moet realiseren is dat je ver weg bent van een beetje reuring dus je hebt echt een auto nodig om het eiland te verkennen indien daar de behoefte ligt.

Bedjes aan het strand niet comfortabel en ontbijt was echt te druk / langere wachttijd voor je kon ontbijten (en dat buiten het hoogseizoen…)

Die Lage und die Ausstattung Ganz besonders die Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeitenden.

Ich fand es schade dass die Bar um 18:00 schließt und man abends nirgendwo einen Wein trinken kann. Das eine Restaurant bot Getränke nach der Essenszeit an aber das hatte keinen Bar-Charakter. Und es gibt ja eine Bar. Das haben wir überhaupt nicht verstanden
