Hotel Indigo Flushing - LaGuardia by IHG

Terrible housekeeping and poor lost-and-found service; highly disappointing.

I stayed here for 9 days, with a room rate of over $300 per night. Upon checking out, I accidentally left a bag in the room containing some clothing and important items. When I contacted the hotel, I was told nothing was found, and it is highly likely that housekeeping simply threw it away as trash. For a mid-to-high-end hotel, it is extremely disappointing: the housekeeping staff failed to carefully check for left-behind belongings, handled things carelessly, and showed a total lack of initiative to contact a long-term guest.

The front desk staff is very helpful. Our kid was so exhausted after a long drive. They allow us early check-in. We are so grateful for that. Getting our room early was a big help indeed.

Our family of four stayed for two nights in mid July. We chose this hotel primarily for its excellent downtown Flushing location, which put us within easy walking distance of many authentic Chinese restaurants. While Hotel Indigo is marketed as a boutique tier property with unique design elements, in reality it feels more like a standard, newer mid-tier IHG hotel with limited features. ***Location & Parking*** The location is the strongest selling point of this hotel. If you want to be in the heart of Flushing and surrounded by Asian dining options, this spot is ideal. If that’s not your priority, you may want to look elsewhere, the immediate area is busy, older, and congested. Parking is in the same building (likely underground) and is valet only. It is operated by a third party company but hotel guests receive priority through the front desk. When we arrived, the garage signage showed “full” yet the front desk confirmed they always reserve spaces for hotel guests. Parking is $35 per night with in and out privileges, billed at checkout. You do need to give the front desk about 10 minutes notice before retrieving your car. ***Facility & Room*** The hotel was built in 2021 and opened in July 2022, so at four years old it should feel relatively new. However the property already feels more worn than expected. Aside from some contemporary lighting and artwork, we didn’t notice anything that stood out as “boutique.” Our room had a standard layout and limited space. For a family of four, seating was tight with one low desk chair and a small sofa meant someone was always sitting on the bed. The bathroom was clean and things were in good working condition. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. Although it is a central system, it was extremely loud. We had to turn it off at night because the noise made it difficult to sleep. The thermostat worked fine, but the unit itself seemed unusually noisy or possibly in need of maintenance. ***Staff & Service*** Amenities are minimal beyond the front desk. Our interactions with staff were mainly for check in, check out, and valet. The interactions were positive, everyone we spoke with was welcoming and helpful. We did not encounter housekeeping or other staff during our stay, likely because the hotel offers limited services. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors reportedly have restaurants and a gym, but we didn’t use them given the large amount of dining options nearby. ***Overall*** The hotel met our basic needs for a short stay. It didn’t offer much beyond the essentials, and we didn’t experience anything that felt boutique level despite the brand classification. If your priority is staying in the center of Flushing with easy access to Asian restaurants, this hotel delivers. If you’re looking for amenities, upgraded features, or a more full service experience, this may not be the best fit. We might stay again if location is the deciding factor.

I asked for room service and clean towels but the did not send anyone for thet and no clean towels

The property was nice enough but nothing special to justify the significant cost difference versus the Ramada Inn two doors up. I paid a much higher price to stay at Hotel indigo expecting it to be nicer, not lesser than Ramada. We will be spending the rest of our trip at the Ramada and will cost us $500 less.

The price is ridiculous in relation to two other hotels near by and that are just as nice or nicer. I won’t be staying here again unless the prices become more in line with the other places

The text notifications worked amazing for me to communicate with the front desk. My aircon was broken and they had someone come fix it within the hour! Really love the customer service.

Excellent location with so many great restaurants in close walking distance. The room was bright, clean, comfortable and roomy with a very comfortable bed. Bright clean roomy bathroom too.

The only lower point was the water pressure in the shower - not terrible, but not definitely great.

We had a horrible experience. We checked in late. The a/c thumped loud all night. We informed them. Nothing done. We asked for a 50% credit. They agreed in writing and then only credited us $50. It was a $350 hotel room and it felt like a nasty $69 hotel room at Travel Lodge. They lied even after they put it in writing.

Facility is spotlessly clean! Staff is friendly and professional. The room was AWESOME! Great views of the New York skyline. Bed was comfortable..walk in shower was very nice with liquid soap pumps. There is a Library in the building! So cool. Drinks and snacks are available at the check in counter.

Traffic in surrounding area is really bad. Valet parking is nice but the $35 parking fee is not. Elevators are very slow.

It smelt like weed, the carpet was stained and sticky, the toilet kept breaking, they gave us the wrong room and gave us attitude when we said it was the wrong room.

We loved being outside of Manhattan so we could SEE Manhattan. The neighborhood was really interesting and not something we'd experienced before. TONS of restaurants, cool shops, and a great bar just around the corner made this a really fun location.

We really don't have any complaints, but if I had to think of something it would be the outside of our windows were kind of dirty which made taking photos of the Manhattan skyline not as clear as they could have been. That's VERY minor though.

Very modern. Location was close to public transportation. We attended an event at the Louis Armstrong Stadium. This hotel was very close.

We spent Memorial Day weekend here to attend a Mets game. Helpful, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Very easy to get to Citi Field. Just a short walk to the subway and the ballpark is one stop away. There’s a lovely view of the NYC skyline on the same floor as the gym. The staff were very accommodating and let us store our luggage after checkout while we attended the baseball game before we had to catch a late night flight. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a complementary breakfast given by a very respectful, kindest front desk receptionist ( Llyod) but we weren’t able to use it due to time constraints.

I have no negative experience in our stay. Jessica was even very accommodating and was very willing to assist me in printing a document . That night on arrival though, we just had a little hard time finding the hotel since the lighting on the front of the hotel name was dim. Maybe some brightness for a better vision ?

I had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Indigo Flushing and was genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The hotel is stylish, modern, and very well maintained, with a fresh and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. A particularly lovely surprise was being given a complimentary upgrade to a top-floor suite with an outdoor terrace, which made the stay feel even more special. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, with the terrace providing a fantastic extra touch and a wonderful space to relax. The staff were warm, professional, and welcoming throughout, and the property itself felt polished and thoughtfully put together. Although my stay was brief, it certainly left a strong impression. I would happily recommend Hotel Indigo Flushing to anyone looking for a comfortable, contemporary stay in the area, and I would gladly return.

Everything went smoothly

Claimed they didn't have two beds for my reservation, and that I didn't request it. Booking. Com says otherwise.

The front desk staff was amazing, the conversation, the welcoming energy. When available they offered an upgrade to a room with a better view.

It’s was very nice inside. The rooms were very clean. The bed and bedding slept really well. Will stay again.

Didn’t have a microwave in the rooms. It had a refrigerator which was a plus, but had to go to the second floor to warm up your food.

Good atmosphere, food was amazing and 5 stars to the server who served me that night of the 5th. The server was very attentive and spoke with every table ensuring that they were all okay. You can tell that she has a great leader as i was not the only guest that mentioned that during my visit. I will definitely come back.
