Magnifique ! La localisation, la vue, l’expérience unique, le charme des pierres associé au confort du modernisme, à refaire sans hésiter

Le seul point à améliorer est le papier wc 😂, pas à la hauteur du reste 😂 Et prévenir du nombre de marches pour accéder à l’établissement et aux chambres

la situation géographique

La chambre était de bonne qualité et conforme à nos attentes sur ce point. En revanche, le prix nous a semblé largement excessif au regard des prestations proposées. Nous avons été particulièrement déçus concernant la piscine. Celle-ci est clairement mise en avant sur le site de l’hôtel, ce qui peut laisser penser qu’elle fait partie des prestations accessibles aux clients. Or, son accès est facturé en supplément, à hauteur de 50 € par personne et par jour, et cela uniquement pour l’accès à la piscine, sans le spa. Nous trouvons cette pratique très décevante et surtout peu transparente. Lorsque l’on réserve un hôtel à ce niveau de prix, il est regrettable de découvrir ensuite que l’accès à une prestation aussi mise en avant est soumis à un supplément aussi important. Pour nous, le rapport qualité-prix n’est clairement pas à la hauteur et cette politique tarifaire nous donne un réel sentiment d’avoir été trompés.

Sehr tolle Lage mitten im Zentrum, tolle Organisation vom Parkplatz und Infos schon vor der Anreise. Sehr schönes Zimmer im Stile des Ortes.

Na ja man muss es sagen, der Spa Bereich hätte uns interessiert mit dem Indoor Pool, war aber außer Betrieb. Nicht weiter schlimm, evtl sollte man das auf booking.com erwähnen, vlt haben wir auch etwas überlesen.

Beautiful hotel. Very stylish decor and in keeping with the historic location in the sassi. Were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. It’s in a tricky location and Samir was so helpful with our luggage. Would definately recommend.

Super Lage und sehr nettes Personal. Schon im Vorfeld viel Infos über Parksituation. Organisation von Parkhaus und Transfer mit Taxi zum Hotel. Kostet zwar aber ist sehr komfortabel. Zimmer sind sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Kleines Frühstück am Morgen,dass für uns keine Wünsche offen ließ.

Wunderschönes Hotel in perfekter Lage mitten in Matera. Wir hatten das besondere Zimmer mit eigenem Jacuzzi-Bad – wirklich traumhaft! Alles war sehr sauber, stilvoll und gemütlich. Das Personal war herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

An incredible hotel with the most beautiful views from our room. It truly felt like staying in a fairytale! The service was exceptional from start to finish. They helped us find our way to the hotel and even carried our luggage, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everything was extremely well organized, and the staff was always kind, attentive, and helpful. The room was spotless, beautiful, and exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything felt luxurious and special. Absolutely loved our stay.

Séjour très agréable. La chambre est belle, grande et atypique, pleine de caractère, dans l'esprit troglodyte — un vrai plus pour l'expérience. Le personnel est particulièrement bienveillant et sympathique, toujours disponible pour donner de bons conseils sur les visites, les restaurants et les meilleurs moments pour profiter des Sassi. Le petit-déjeuner est également très bon, varié et copieux. A quelques minutes du Duomo, en plein cœur du centro storico, idéal pour explorer Matera à pied.

A fantastic experience from the time of booking until the time of our departure. We (a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers) stayed for 2 nights in the family suite. We also booked the private spa area. Breakfast delicious. Couldn’t fault Cenobio Hotel. Staff so helpful and professional. 5 stars all round.

A única nota 10 vai para o funcionário Samir, gentil, educado e muito prestativo. Carregou nossas malas pra cima e pra baixo. O hotel não deixa claro que há muitas escadas pra subir e descer até chegar ao hotel. Espaço do quarto era bom mas sem vista e sem poder abrir a janela para que os pedestres não nos vissem. Ficamos com luz acesa mesmo de dia.

SPA é cobrado, tem que reservar e estava cheio ou seja, quando se olha a propaganda do hotel deixa bastante dúvida e sinceramente, nos pegou. Chegamos prontos pro SPA e nos decepcionamos. Recepcionista muito rude conosco e com os subordinados. Gerente também. Achamos o clima bem ruim entre os funcionários. É muito constrangedor presenciar grosseria num ambiente onde você está exposto, de férias, de relax, de cordialidade. A direção do hotel deveria repensar no tratamento aos funcionários e aos hóspedes.

Unique property in a very peaceful setting with a breathtaking view. Generous sized room & bathroom and huge private terrace for our room. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast with nice variety. Most importantly, the staff was wonderful! Damian gave us a few terrific restaurant and site suggestions along with personal history about this fascinating town. Samir was so gracious helping us with our luggage. And the taxi service from the parking garage was swift. Definitely recommend this hotel and visiting Matera for a night or two. It’s magical and emotional once you learn its history, which is best explained at Casa Noha.

The shower needs a little TLC and the terrace would have been even more enjoyable with some lounge chairs, especially to lay back and take in the stars.

We booked the top spa room and the guy was lovely and showed us how to use it however it don’t work. The remote was not paired and we spent an hour googling etc but couldn’t get it going. It was a shame cause we could only stay 1 night.

Cenobio Hotel was a lovely place to stay. The hotel is located in the old town centre and therefore you cannot drive all the way to the hotel. Instead the hotel can reserve parking for you and you can either get a taxi or walk to the hotel. I suggest a taxi as its 800 metres. There are quite a lot of stairs to the hotel so not suitable to people with mobility issues but when there it was wonderful. Our room was very lovely lovely and the beds super comfy. We took advanatge of the opportunity to book the private spa which included a large spa pool, a sauna and showers. I highly recommend you do this. It was worth every cent. The staff were very helpful especially our porter who was a delight

Arquitetura dos quartos, comodidades, simpatia do Damian. Quartos todos separados em vários pequenos "edifícios" típicos da região. Pequeno almoço variado e bom.

Considerei a publicidade do Hotel algo enganosa. Promete muito, com umas fotografias muito apelativas, mas na realidade nem o SPA vimos. A limpeza das colchas deixou muito a desejar, com manchas. O colchão da cama de solteiro não era agradável.

This was a fabulous place to stay! The staff were kind enough to call us ahead and explain the complex parking situation common in Matera, but they made it simple for us. They even called the taxi and had staff help carry our luggage down the steps! Super luxurious! We stayed in the room with the jacuzzi and I recommend it 100%

It was a little humid in the jacuzzi bedroom as to be expected, but by opening the doors and window and turning on the dehumidifier, it was fine overall. Totally worth it!

Un peu à l’écart et difficile d’accès mais cela est la cas si vous visitez Matera ! Il faut etre bien équipé (oubliez les petites sandales !) cependant cet Hotel est à l’écart du bruit (c’est un plus !)

Supermysigt och charmigt rum i grottmiljö. Vi bodde i en av sviterna, nr 3. Jättetrevlig personal och god frukost. Kom ihåg att beställa omelett av personalen på frukosten, väldigt god! Läget var perfekt för promenader runt staden.

Det kan vara bra att känna till att eftersom man bor i grottrum, så finns det inga dörrar inne på rummet som avgränsar ex till toaletten. 😄

Great location, super clean, comfortable and updated rooms within an old structure. Staff were responsive and helpful. Samir was exceptional - helping with luggage, directions, etc.

Pool/spa is misleading. It’s a significant extra charge - 70 euro per person (or 190 euro for a family of 4!?!). Our bedroom TV turned on spontaneously in the middle of the night for 2 seconds and then turned off again. Very strange.

Excellent location, the room was clean, breakfast was fine

The hotel is perfectly located, overlooking the scenic hills, but we didn’t get to enjoy this because the room had no window and no sitting corner in front (they could have easily arranged that, multiple cave locations in town do it). Very bad air inside despite of a (quite loud) humidifier which had to constantly stay on. On a warm day, the humidifier was set on ‘heat’ and the reception explained us that the heating cannot be turned off, so despite of several remotes on the walls, the temperature was impossible to regulate. The result was 28 degrees at night - combined with the humidity it meant no sleep for the whole family after 3am. This could have been understandable for a regular AirBnB (after all, it is a cave indeed), but it’s not OK for a very expensive ‘suit with jacuzzi’ in a 4-star-hotel (not to mention the jacuzzi was also not fully functional - some things got fixed by a nice guy upon our arrival, others we had to figure ourselves…). I hope the staff will take this complaint in a constructive way - they really need to lower the expectations, describe honestly that the suite has no window, no view and no proper ventilation, and balance the price-quiality ratio accordingly so this doesn’t feel like a tourist trap.

Hotel limpo, muito bonito e confortável, no meio das pedras de Matera, é como se hospedar num cenário de filme. Funcionários extremamente atenciosos, chegamos em um dia de chuva nos ajudaram com as malas desde a praça central até o hotel, emprestaram guarda-chuvas, nos deram boas dicas sobre a cidade, sempre solícitos e simpáticos, tudo perfeito mesmo!

Patika ļoti istabiņa un vieta, patika tīrība, patika skats no terases, patika brokastis, patika ļoti SPA. Viss bija ļoti gaumīgi. Laipns personāls.

Habitación muy amplia, cómoda. La atención de Samir, quien fue quien acarreó todas nuestras valijas fue excelente. El día que nos fuimos estaba puntualmente esperando a pesar de que era muy temprano en la madrugada, para subirnos el equipaje.

El desayuno podría mejorar. Difícil de llegar, hay que pagar un taxi para que te lleve al hotel, luego subir y bajar muchas escaleras. Cuando dejamos el hotel, al irnos antes de las 8 am tuvimos que pagar el doble del precio del taxi. La fotos están un poquito maquilladas

La colazione, per me il pasto più importante della giornata, è ottima. La posizione e la vista sui Sassi sono invidiabili! Lo staff molto gentile, e i gatti simpatici.

Non siamo stati informati per tempo della necessità di prenotare la SPA. Non era il motivo principale della nostra visita, quindi non ci ha rovinato il soggiorno.

El lugar está ubicado en pleno corazón de la Matera antigua, con una vista realmente maravillosa a los Sassi. Además, queda a pasos del Duomo de Matera, un punto icónico donde se han filmado varias películas, así que es inevitable ir reconociendo rincones y paisajes mientras caminas por la zona. La ubicación es perfecta para recorrer todo a pie y sentir de verdad la atmósfera histórica de la ciudad. El hotel es muy especial: tiene ese encanto único de estar integrado a los sassi, y aun así se mantiene la privacidad. Las habitaciones dan al exterior, pero sin perder la sensación de tranquilidad y resguardo. Fuimos en invierno y, sinceramente, no se pasa absolutamente nada de frío: se nota que está muy bien acondicionado. La habitación es amplia, cómoda y el hecho de dormir literalmente “dentro” de los sassi es una experiencia increíble. Éramos 5 personas y nos acomodó perfectamente, sin sentirnos apretados. También pudimos usar el spa (es de pago), y vale totalmente la pena. Es simplemente increíble: piscina privada amplia con hidromasaje, sauna y un ambiente perfecto para desconectarse y disfrutar al 100%. Se siente como un momento de lujo dentro del viaje, muy bien cuidado y pensado para relajarse de verdad. El desayuno, excelente. Muy completo y de gran calidad: incluye huevo, jamón cocido y crudo, una variedad de quesos deliciosos y, además, una selección grande de dulces italianos de lo mejor. El cappuccino servido a la mesa es un detalle que marca la diferencia, y estaba delicioso. El personal es muy amable, todos sin excepción. Se agradece muchísimo la buena disposición y el trato cercano: Ivana, Justina, Samir, Damiano, Mario… siempre atentos y resolutivos. Incluso responden por WhatsApp, lo que hace todo más fácil para coordinar dudas o cualquier detalle durante la estancia. En cuanto al estacionamiento, es cercano y funciona muy bien considerando que el hotel está dentro de una zona de tráfico limitado (ZTL). Aunque se paga aparte, es muy cómodo.

Nada, todo fue excelente. Es un lugar muy agradable en todo sentido, desde la primera impresión hasta el último día. La estancia en el Cenobio superó mis expectativas por la tranquilidad del entorno, la comodidad de las instalaciones y el cuidado en cada detalle. Tanto la atención del personal como la limpieza y el ambiente general hicieron que todo se sintiera acogedor y bien organizado, lo que permite realmente descansar y disfrutar. Honestamente, no podría señalar un aspecto negativo de la experiencia: todo funcionó perfecto y me quedo con ganas de volver.

La verdad es que la ubicación es céntrica, al lado del Duomo lo que pasa es que para llegar al hotel tienes que recorrer 80 escaleras y cuando vas cargado con el equipaje, ya que no se puede acceder de otra forma que no sea caminando, se hace muy incómodo, aunque en la plaza del Duomo puede haber alguien del hotel que te ayuda con las maletas. Antes de la llegada, se preocupan si vas en coche de proporcionarte si quieres un parking y un transfer hasta el hotel, eso sí, con un coste de 15€ para 2 pax. Y solo hasta el Duomo, luego las escaleras las tienes que bajar andando.

El check-out era a las 11 y cuando salimos de la habitación antes de esa hora el personal de limpieza estaba esperando en la puerta con mala cara. El desayuno, que te hacen de forma personal, era un poco corto. El acceso para ir de noche sobre todo, está en una zona un poco solitaria y apartada.

Struttura nuova, finemente ristrutturata e in ottima posizione. Staff gentilissimo e buona colazione.

La camera è davvero bella e curata in ogni dettaglio. Esperienza confortevole e rilassante. Il sasso è arredato con gusto e la jacuzzi è ampia e rende il soggiorno piacevole. Il letto molto comodo e spazioso.

Avremmo gradito un maggior numero di prodotti per la jacuzzi/bagno (shampoo, saponi, essenze..) e un kit di benvenuto (ad esempio del prosecco dato che era il 31.12) che in una suite di solito è presente

Camera molto particolare, pulita e con confort molto alti! La vasca idromassaggio molto bella e funzionale, sistema di areazione perfetto. La colazione era ottima, abbondante e con prodotti buonissimi e di prima scelta! Il servizio di portierage gentilissimo e disponibile. Il signor Mario ci ha consigliato anche diversi locali per la cena e ci ha suggerito cosa vedere in tutta la Matera dei Sassi!

Peccato per la muffa visibile sulle pareti, sarebbe potuta essere trattata prima!! Il sistema di areazione nella camera era ottimo, ovviamente la vasca idromassaggio bellissima crea dei problemi di umidità e magari bastava dare una rinfrescata !!

Una delle stanze più accoglienti mai provate. Arredamenti di livello, stanza calda e elevato livello di confort. Letto comodissimo e stanza molto grande.

The property itself and the staff couldn’t have been any better! The most difficult thing was getting luggage to the hotel but they have a service for hire to help.

The Spa is 65€ extra cost for 90 minutes. We booked this hotel given parking was advertised. However, parking is 15 min walk away and cost 20€ per day.

Awesome location right in the center of old town. Staff was excellent, breakfast quite decent and withing walking distance to everything you want to see.

It was a challenge to get to the hotel and it is not walkable but they have a transfer which is quite pricy (Euro 15.00) for a 10 minute ride.

Gorgeous property in a great location in the heart of historic Matera. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We hired the private spa with pool and sauna for 1.5hrs which we would highly recommend. It is stunning.

The family room states it has a double bed, 2 single beds and a sofa bed. The 2 single beds are actually sofa beds. This did not matter for us but worth noting.

Amazing experience! The whole atmosphere of being in a cave made our stay memorable. The room is big, very comfortable, super clean, modern and well equipped. Beds and shower were great. The view is superb! It is well located. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Tatiana and Samir did everything to make us feel home. The breakfast has great variety and all super fresh food!

If you have mobility issues that would not be the best place, cause there a lot of steps, but this is all over Matera. For the price and level of the hotel, they should have hair conditioner.

La Habitacion era amplia y muy comoda

Adoramos a estada no Cenóbio Hotel. Ficamos na suíte dentro de uma gruta. Uma experiência incrível, como sonhávamos. Suíte impecável, cama confortável e tudo necessário para uma estadia perfeita. Contratamos um transfer pelo hotel e quando chegamos ao ponto de encontro, a equipe já estava ao nosso aguardo para carregar a mala, já que o hotel fica em um local que não transita carros. Excelente! E melhor ainda foi o concierge, Mario, que nos deu duas dicas de restaurantes excelentes e ainda fez a reserva para nós . Tudo excepcional!
