The fact they advertised a pool but it could not be used

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Location is good, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Theres bidet in the bathroom and thats a bonus. Hotel staffs are accommodative.

The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the location was really good, near MRT and bus stops and easy access to a variety of food areas.

Location was excellent, easy walking distance to the Arab Quarter (across the road), downtown (only 3 blocks from Raffles Hotel), Little India, etc. Short walk to Bugis Metro Station and lots of local buses. Good mix of street food and shopping mall restaurants very close by and walking distance from some great down town restaurants. Waterfront (River or Bay) and Gardens by the Bay easily accessible; also National Library, Art Gallery & several museums. The room was a standard motel room but I loved the very comfortable super king size bed and the large windows giving great views over Singapore. Shower water pressure also good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Room could have been a little bigger, but not a major issue. We could still store our large suitcases without too much difficulty. Shower was over the bath, so not good for people with arthritic knees etc. Not a problem for us personally. Nowhere in reception area where you could just sit and wait for someone or take a cup of coffee and relax. The air-conditioning in the room worked well but was rather noisy.

Spacious room

When i arrived there some of the facility cant be used due to renovation and cleaning work such as swimming pook. The hotel offer to send us to other hotel but i think its not very convenient to do so.

Location to Arab st st and metro

Under Reno no pool and was not advised was given option to use sister hotel via transportation and this did not go well

Central location - walking distance to two different train lines, right across the street from Haji Lane

When we went, the building was under renovations, so there was no one at the front desk. We waited a good 5 minutes before we noticed a sign that said to use the hotel phone to call for assistance, and when I did, a lady informed us that check in was on a different floor but mumbled the number, so I asked for confirmation, but she hung up. So we then went to the wrong floor and sat there for a good 10 minutes before someone happened to walk by and tell us where to go.

Location is good. short walking to MRT. Restaurant is available around the hotel. Short walking distance to tourist attarction area. Only few stations to Gardens by the bay.

The pool was closed and will be until 6 October 2026, I was not advised beforehand or whilst checking in, only found out by a note saying there were renovations. I thought I should have been advised, even at check in. The only thing that was said to me at check-in was I was given a card with the staff members on duties names and could I give them a review on Tripadvisor. I have family members that were staying there at end of September who have since cancelled there reservation. Very disappointed as I stayed there last year and it was a great place. Won't be returning

Feedback to reception that the aircon was not cold. Technician came up promptly but still no diff. We didn’t have a good night sleep as the room is not cold enough for 4 of us in 1 rooms At 16 deg, it felt like 26 degree. The technician didn’t even bother to check the aircon temperature with device.

Old and dated and in the process of being tarted up, but adequate for our stay and clean enough. Rooms are totally charmless but they're a good size for Singapore. Bed was comfortable. Windows are tinted so brown and are so dirty it looked like a serious smog was enveloping Singapore! We had a fabulous view of the Sultans Mosque from the room. The Pool is very good, and pool area - again all in great need of renovation but fine. We would stay again due to the location. The cost and size of the room compared to more modern hotels is good, and the location only a short 5 min walk from Bugis MRT, plus right beside the Sultans Mosque is excellent.

Charmless rooms and dark brown tinted, dirty windows. However, it is currently being repainted so at least the exterior should be better in a few months. Note the pool will be closed for a few months in Sept - Nov 2026. We would stay again when the pool reopens.

La ubicación me parece excelente. Puedes ir andando a muchos puntos de la ciudad y también hay buenas conexiones de bus y metro. Además, mi zona favorita por tipo de comida, tiendas de segunda mano, etc, ambiente, estaba en esta zona. Así que repetiría sin duda. Además, las habitaciones están muy muy muy bien!!!

lobby reception located on 3rd floor is isolated and disengage staff welcome reception to customers to hotel. attendants at ground floor were somewhat waiting for request from customers than to approach and offer assistance with baggage

Negalėjome, pas kartu atvykusius bičiulius, kurie apsigyveno kitame aukšte patekti - liftas veža tik į savo aukštą. Laiptais ir tuo pačiu avariniu išėjimu laiptais neįmanoma pasinaudoti. Tiesiog nepatogu. Indai ir ypač stiklinės, kurios naudojamos pusryčiams nebuvo švarios.

Great location for seeing the older part of the city and for proximity to mosques. Good hot water and water pressure, clean room, good air conditioning, fresh linens, mini fridge and hot water kettle.

Attempts were made to update the hotel, but very haphazardly. I appreciated that the room seemed very clean but the updates were very sloppy and not polished. The paint jobs were terrible. The hotel has a lot of potential but significant corners are being cut. You can hear your neighbors clearly through the door that connects the rooms. Lots of guests from loud and non self-aware locations

Some of the rooms are yet to undergo refurbishment. I’m sure they will be excellent once complete.

Staff attitude..reach around 2.30pm.. requested for connecting rooms during booking..one room only available.. asked to wait 45 mins and receptionist to call when ready..after 1 hr.. i called..they will check & will call ..nothing.. second call made.. room ready.. there was a sofa blocking the connecting door for both rooms...we have to push sofa to open door.. we call reception to take one of sofa because room was small for triple bed with sofa there was no room to move around..& also clean floor.. one lady appeared..seems to be grumbling & mentioned no towel to clean floor.. came back to clean floor & still grumbling.. room is old .. dated furniture Next day breakfast in the dining room.. many tables were not cleared .. second day the coffee machine was not working... Food is nice but takes time to top up.. Need to improve the receptionist attitude..be more friendly..

Emplacement sur une ligne de métro pratique pour les visites touristiques et le quartier Malay. Chambre familiale spacieuse.

Hôtel sans charme ou effort de décoration , vieillot . Le petit déjeuner qui n’est pas au goût de la clientèle occidentale ( très peu de céréales, pas de yaourts , viennoiseries insipides, jus de fruit chimique). Pas de lounge agréable ni d’ambiance . Mauvaise insonorisation entre les chambres.

Accommodation is in a great location, close to Bugis markets and mrt. So many great eateries around. Train lines are so easy to hop on and off at all the hot spots. Clean facilities. Check in and out was very smooth. Loved spending time in the pool from about 2 to 4pm, after sightseeing in the morning and before venturing out again in the evening.

Not major, but the toilet was hard flushing. Took a few goes to clear.

Furniture in room is dated, sliding wooden doors on wardrobe and bathroom not closing properly, beds are high and creaky, pillows are too hard. Limited TV channels

The property is very well located in Bugis. Near to Bugis MRT and near to most of the attractions (like MBS, Gardens By the Bay, Little India, Merlion Park). Room size is Ok considering Singapore is an overall expensive city. The tarboush restaurant was good

The start was very disappointing. Despite early booking and clear information, the hotel didn't allot us an early check-in. Their front desk staff asked for an exorbitant rate that too for 3 hours before the original check in time. So we had to wander through streets after an overnight journey. May be My expectation was too much for a mediocre hotel, since during my last visit to Singapore, Grand Copthorne at Clarks quay not only allowed an early check in & late check out, but that too at free of cost as a good gesture to customer. After the early check-in failure didn't dare to ask for a late check out, though my flight was late at night. Hotel is old and has the typical oldish atmosphere. The woodwork in our room were peeled off at places. The Pillows are very hard and uncomfortable There's no storage place in the rooms, like cupboards and drawers (one stowage open cabinet was provided only) The hotel doesn't have a room service option - a big red flag when you are travelling on business, tired and want to be delivered at room. Food ordering option is there from outside but then you have to go down to get it Breakfast spread is limited and repetitive

Man könnte beim Frühstück noch ein paar mehr gesunde Optionen anbieten, mehr Joghurt (den gab es nur manchmal) und Haferflocken.

Some Indian cuisine needed in breakfast, wash basin tap was hard to operate and making sound also, toilet could have been a little more clean deep inside

الفندق قدييييم جدا فوق الحجر حجري.. صح الاثاث مجدد ونظيف لكن موكيت الممرات قديم وقذر جدا الابواب قديمة ومتقشرة الاصنصيرات قديمة اللبي فيه كنبتين لكن مافيه مكان للجلوس والراحة وشرب القهوة ..عمال نقل الشنط شياب انفسهم شينة ونفسهم بطرف خشومهم.. حاجزة غرفة سريرين منفصلين ولما وصلت قالو اسفين متاح سرير كبير واحد.. قلت طيب والحل مايصير انوم مع اختي قالو اطلب سرير اضافي قلت غلطتكم قالو مالنا شغل ودفعوني 85 دولار يعني حوالي 300 ريال على سرير خايس ومو مريح ومو غلطتي..
