Great location just off the main Trans Canada highway. Also right next to the Medicine Hat Mall, and other major retail outlets. The property has a new feel and is well maintained. There is also a pool at the hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.

The room was nice, the carpets weren't the greatest. With the amount you pay at hotels now, you'd think that you could have a Netflix app to watch on. I've stayed at numerous hotels, and you can use your own streamline to watch shows. But each hotel is different

the carpets were pretty dirty, uncomfortable to walk on. The room smelled musty/mildewy The a/c unit in the room was stuck on the on position, and looked extremely dirty. When the air came on, I could smell the mildew coming from it . Had to unplug it to stop

I've stayed in Medicine Hat at several hotels, and The Comfort Inn would be at the bottom of my list to stay at again. First, the hot tub wasn't operational during our stay, it sucked but there was no advance notice of it prior to our arrival, and by the time we arrived after our 11 hour drive, we didn't want to try and find another hotel. Second, we booked a non-smoking room but as soon as we walked in it smelled like cigarette smoke. The room also didn't feel overly clean. The bathroom floor was sticky, the sheets weren't on the bed properly and had some stains on them. There were also inconveniences as well. The mini fridge wasn't cold, I had to crank it up to full blast and hope that it would keep our food cool enough. There was also only a plug on one side of the bed. The king size bed had queen size pillows and they were old and lumpy. When I talked to the front desk they "thanked me for letting them know about the cleanliness issues" but said " because I booked on a third party site, there was nothing they could do except offer a 10% discount the next time I come". Save yourself the trouble and pay the extra $20 to stay at the Best Western or Days Inn. Could have been a one off room, but not willing to try again for a 10% discount when I already paid full price the first time around.

The location is fantastic, in terms of easy highway access, and proximity to the mall. However, the thing that really made our stay, was Brett’s friendliness at the front counter. Brett has primo customer service, and should be recognized for that. Brett is cheerful, energetic, efficient, and has a great sense of humour. Thanks Brett.

Looking forward to a hot tub after 15 days of camping, but the hot tub was out of order.

Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Excellent parking and close to other amenities.

The breakfast was good, and the location was convenient..it’s right behind the mall, next to Tims and Wendy’s, so we can quickly grab a meal.

Hotel staff were fantastic. I accidentally booked for the day after we arrived, but the front frisk was able to move the reservation to that night with an upgrade and no additional cost.

BOOKING.COM starts it's week on Monday instead of Sunday. It almost cost us a place to sleep.

Upon arrival, we were enthusiastically greeted and pre-checked in by Brett. He was so patient, cooperative, and helpful as we got the details sorted out — his service was phenomenal from the very start. Brett was exceptional. Later, we received a text notification from Brett that our room was ready, but because we were out, we couldn't make it back immediately. When we finally returned, we were warmly assisted by Chris. He provided another outstanding service — among other things, he helped us with the room TV so my kid could watch a specific channel — and handed us our welcome gift of cookies and bottles of water, which were greatly appreciated in the hot temperature. Chris too was phenomenal. The room itself was comfortable and cool — the AC was blasting, which we really appreciated given the heat outside — and we had a great, restful sleep. There are also plenty of food options nearby, which was convenient. We noticed a couple of very minor cosmetic things (some peeling wallpaper and one nearly empty Kleenex box), but the moment we mentioned it, the box was replaced right away. Small stuff, and it didn't take away from the experience at all. During our stay, we also met Carrie, who managed breakfast with mastery, a beautiful smile, and a friendly, welcoming presence. Ahmed made our departure just as seamless, being polite, smiling, and helpful as he checked us out. Everyone (including the housekeeping crew) was so welcoming. Great staff!!! Great atmosphere! Will definitely stay there again… and again!

We stayed one night with our grandson and found the hotel to be very clean and all the staff to be very friendly, welcoming, and professional. This is noteworthy, in our view. Our grandson loved the pool, which to our luck is open until 11:00pm. The breakfast choices consist of regular and strawberry waffles, omelettes, ham, potatoes, cereal, and yogurts. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here one night en route to Calgary. We booked kind of last minute (a week in advance), and there might have been a ball tournament or something in town, because we were told at check-in the hotel was full. We were in room 229, and it was fine for just one night. It was extremely small, 10x12 at most, and for any more time it would have been just too cramped for two people to be comfortable. The furniture took every inch of space other than a narrow margin on either side of the bed. We've honestly had a bigger room at a Microtel. That said, the bed and pillows were *extremely* comfortable, the bath towels were very plush, and the a/c worked really well. The shower design was poor; with just a glass panel on one side, water splashed everywhere and we had to make sure to mop it up so we didn't slip on the tile floor. Breakfast was perfectly adequate - scrambled egg patties, hashbrown patties, bacon, make your own waffles, and all the usual continental items. We went down at 9:30, which was apparently prime time, because we had to wait on all the hot items, as well as on a refill of waffle batter. That was fine, though, as the lady managing the breakfast was doing her best, but she obviously could have used some help. The hotel seemed quite clean and every staff member we encountered was helpful and polite. Brett who checked us out was especially pleasant. Overall, we'd stay here again if we could get a larger room.

I liked that it was walkable to the mall and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

I did not like that the room felt shabby and run down, despite some renovations. The towel bar was not properly attached to the wall and kept falling off, it was also rusty. The fridge was old and dented, there was a gap in the door to the hallway so zero soundproofing. The shower curtain smelled musty, ick.

Our check in was easy and the attendant was very accommodating and pleasantly cheerful.

The road traffic kept us up all night. Not your hotels problem but it is definitely frustrating

I was in Medicine Hat for Pre and Post Surgical Procedures. Very friendly and professional staff, they were accommodating to the special need that I required along with my support person. They are conveniently located just off of Hwy 1, beside the Medicine Hat Mall and numerous dine-in restaurants and fast food options. I will definitely be staying at The Comfort Inn and Suites again, can’t wait to use the hot tub and swimming pool.

Location is great for us. The room is good and breakfast is good. The people we meet in the hotel are always friendly and will help with anything they can. Shower is good getting old

the couch cushions are torn or worn out and need to be recovered. The tap in the bathroom sink is SLOW the toilet paper across the road at the casino is nicer than in our room

The breakfast was really good. The staff were all exceptional. The air conditioner was awesome! The price was really reasonable too.
