Such a cool historical building! 2 hot tubs, great restaurant attached.

Just the $70 valet parking but that’s how it goes when you stay downtown :)

This property is absolutely stunning! Love that Embassy was able to pick up a historic hotel. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of voodoo donuts.

Obviously being downtown, the area gets a little spicy at night. That would be the one draw back.

The 2 bedroom suite, I enjoyed the sleep area away from the entertaining area.

The coffee supplies in the room had not be serviced/refilled. There was red stuff splattered on the wall and frame of a nearby print.

Didn’t like paying so much to park thought that was very high price to pay for parking We came at 3:30 and no line so went to get some food bc your restaurant was closed came back and a long line to check in like 4:30

The breakfast was better than I expected. Especially the fresh omelets! Staff was friendly throughout.

Safe neighborhood but coming out first thing in the am there were several places with fresh urine on the side of the building that puddled. I’ve been to many cities around the world and the nicest ones have a few minutes of cleanup in front of their buildings. A little bucket with water to do a reaal quick clean up of things such as this makes a huge difference in presentation

Convenient location close to Saturday market, Powell’s, and other stuff. The receptionist that we checked in with (the second time, see below), was great and friendly.

Wanted $40/room to check in early. Old and worn down rooms and building. Housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning the room. Bed was lumpy, furniture was dusty and wobbly. Not enough anything in the room - towels, Kleenex, cups - had to keep calling front desk. First receptionist we talked to was not too friendly and was using scare tactics to try to get us to pay $65 to park at the hotel. Just so you know, the US Bancorp building parking lot is right across the street and felt super safe - for $16 a day (weekend). Happy hour was a good idea but drinks were weak and snacks were very basic. Included breakfast was also basic and always needed refilling. Quality was meh. I would’ve preferred saving some money instead of having these “included” perks. Overall, a meh stay with the location being the only saving grace.

Was expecting more snacks for the evening, but appreciated the drinks! Also would have loved another omelet chef, the line took nearly a half hour even on a weekday and my family started and finished eating breakfast without me :(

We loved our stay. We live in Oregon but coming out to Portland is always a longer stay. Embassy suites was a great stay for us. Our son really enjoyed our suit. Our window had direct view of the Portland sign. We will be definitely coming back thanks a million to our front staff Steve for our animal balloon. 🎈

Entire experience was great. Valet makes things very easy if you have a car. Say “hey” to Steve! Highly recommend the hotel.

I've never been to an Embassy Suites like this one. While in a historic building, the rooms are very small. I found an old sock on the floor when I arrived in my room. The thermostat is almost inaccessible and I couldn't adjust it from it's setting of 71°. The shower gel dispenser in the shower was broken off the wall and sitting on a ledge. There is no shuttle to the airport and the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. At check-in on Sunday, I was told it opened at 5pm.

We really enjoyed our experience. The valet, especially Steven was so prompt, friendly, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast and evening cocktail hour was a great perk. The arcade and pool gave the kids activities between our exploration in Portland. We would definitely stay again, wonderful family experience.

Would recommend for families. Indoor pool saved us when it was 90s out but chlorine burned my eyes just sitting there. Onsite restaurant Mothers was excellent. God options and quality food. Free breakfast was good - highlights were the honeydew slices and the omelet station helmed by a real pro. Staff was super nice and helpful. Folks greeting at the front were attentive. Steven especially went out of his way and bonus he’s a magician. Did closeup magic for us while we waited for our uber. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. AC worked well but made a load door-slamming noise when starting up sometimes that woke me up the first night a few times. They have a sundries room to buy food and medicine and water bottles and stuff. It also has free water with cups. Neighborhood is sketchy and I didn’t feel safe at night. I wouldn’t park a car on the street there overnight.

Steve and valet crew were great! Very helpful and on top it. Room is very clean as always.good convenient free breakfast and love the pool and hot tub. We stay here just about any time we come to Portland.

Front of house valet was exceptional! Very seamless in the ability to drop your vehicle off and also pick it back up when needed. Steve and Blake deserve a raise! They’re awesome!!

The rooms are very spacious and the staff is friendly

The general feeling in the hotel and its surroundings is neglect. The area around the hotel is empty and uncomfortable. The breakfast and breakfast room is depressing with sticky floors every morning. In the room I got towels with makeup still on it. Can’t recommend this hotel.

Good location in downtown Portland. Rooms were clean and the connecting rooms were prefect for my family. We enjoyed the breakfast omlette station immensely every morning. That chef was impressive! The bellmen were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Steven. Being able to text with the front desk was very useful and the engineering team fixed our shower drain promptly. I'd stay here again!

The neighborhood is a drug den of homeless. The hotel was lovely. While breakfast was good, the room was too dark like they were hiding something.

We had a fun stay-cation at this hotel! Great, reasonable price! Super fun pool, great breakfast, and we loved the restaurant in the hotel! We enjoyed the gym as well as the snacks and free postcard mailing. Plus the valet staff was top notch. Steven at valet gave us a mini magic show before we took off, and it made a great impression on my son and was super fun for our family. Super memorable and unique! Highly recommend and parking valet!

Overall a very good stay. Hotel is dated but has a lot of character and rich history. The furniture - especially the beds - could use updating to more of a Hilton standard. Only valet parking available at this location, but the valet service was exceptional. Our vehicle was always retrieved very quickly and valets were friendly especially Stephen and Pierre.

The hotel and its amenities were truly worth the value of the cost. I especially appreciated the customer service. Props to our valet team, including Steven and Pierre, for being so helpful with everything parking related!

Location of the hotel is goods.. Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. The parking at the hotel is only Valet and very expensive for the location. Hotel is very outdated. It needs a major renovation. Rooms are renovated to some degree but still need more renovation. The breakfast area on lower level needs the most updating. It is so dark with a dark navy ceiling. The floor is sticky all of the time. Food provided is ok but isn't in the level of an Embassy Suite. Furniture in the breakfast room are very old. We were there 4 days. # day out of 4 days their only soda fountain was out of service. It was still not working when we left.

Rooms located very far from each other although booked together, sofa bed was not made up and linen had to be requested and we had to make the bed up ourselves. Breakfast options were only on and there was a lack of cutlery and food

The Embassy Suites Portland is a beautiful property but the thing that really made our stay great was the staff. Our first encounter with the valet/magician (Steven) was wonderful. He shared some local history of the building, made balloon animals and was genuinely warm and welcoming. At the front desk James checked us in and straightened out some mistakes I made in the reservation. After a long day of traveling it was really nice to have someone just sort out the situation with a smile. Once we got settled in our suite we went down for cocktails and met Daisy. There was already a long line at the bar but Daisy worked through it with fantastic service. She even indulged me with a joke about the tip jar, go team Batman!

This place felt luxurious at an affordable price. The room was set up to be comfortable for families, with a separate living room that was nice for the kids to relax in between outings. The building was clean and staff were all very nice. We appreciated the free drinks/ snacks at night for guests. I'd stay here again next time we're in Portland!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in downtown Portland and Steven and the staff were absolutely incredible. Not only were they all polite they also were very timely. In less than 10 minutes of requesting our vehicle it was ready each and every time. We’ve been staying here atleast once a month the last few months and it’s been great.

The first thing is the valet workers made the stay so great. The manager, as well as the gentleman who helped up multiple times , was amazing. Then, the cocktail hour was a great plus. Breakfast was 10/10. I would definitely recommend it to a friend as well as stay again. The location is great, very close to a lot of places.

Our family had a lovely stay at Embassy Suites Downtown! The option for a two bedroom suite was perfect for our vacation with kids. Valet was convenient, and Steven was very friendly! We were able to easily access the TriMet light rail to reach fun activities, and we felt safe walking to nearby attractions like Powell’s Books. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tubs! Our beds were comfy! Only complaint would be that the breakfast area in the basement was sooo dark! Other than that, we really enjoyed the fancy historic building! Would recommend for families and would stay again in the future.

Had a great experience. Fast easy valet parking for the hotel. Hotel has many restaurants a bars inside so lots of options to choose from. Pool was really nice for me because I’m so short I loved the fact that it was only like 4ft at the deepest point. And it also had two hot tubs. Service was good. Had digital keys so check in and check out were super easy and fast. The area around the hotel had everything fun walking distance. Very clean spacious rooms. Overall great experience.

The impressive lobby and fre

Very convenient location in downtown Portland. Close to lots of restaurants and things to do. We had a large room that was clean and comfortable. Food at breakfast was great and the staff were friendly all over. It was a 5 star stay but there were 3 things that were slightly off: 1. the breakfast room is in the basement and a bit dark. Kinda like mood lighting, but I like things a little brighter at breakfast. 2. Coffee at breakfast not great. Get coffee elsewhere if important. 3. Downtown Portland, while lots there, is not the cleanest place which tempered the enjoyment of the hotel itself.

Beautiful, historic building. Central downtown location. Kind and friendly valet. Room was rundown and looked directly into the rooms on the other wing of the hotel. Breakfast staff was lovely, though prepare to wait up to 45 minutes to get made-to-order eggs. I’m assuming it’s a Hilton policy, but we arrived earlier from an east coast flight. My son was sick, so we tried to get into the room early. $40 charge. If the room is ready, why does it matter to them if we get into it? Just doesn’t feel like good customer service. Then I requested housekeeping on Day 2 (they never came on Day 1), and they even asked what time I would like them to service the room. They never showed. I had to ask for some towels at 8pm when we returned to our room from a day in the city. Trash overflowing and also in the hallways and ice/vending room. Then I asked for a late checkout on our last morning and was told that would cost another $30. After the lack of service and housekeeping, I couldn’t stomach another ridiculous charge, so we’ll leave our bags with the valet when we pick up our rental car. We were supposed to return to this hotel for another night at the end of our time in Oregon, but I just canceled our reservation and will look elsewhere. It’s disappointing because I was so excited about this beautiful property. The service falls short of what I expected. I have never written a hotel review in my life, but I feel compelled with this one.

We visit the Embassy Suites in Portland every year. As always we had an exceptional experience! The front desk was great and suggested a beautiful room for us. Housekeeping was top notch and Steven was the best! He was friendly and fun and helped us manage our bikes. You can’t beat the customer service and the complimentary happy hour and breakfast is always appreciated.

Clean room and very spacious. The hotel gives off an ambience of old class, but is well taken care of. Valet and bell hops were very helpful, and were great entertaining the kids while packing the vehicle. Steven makes a great dog balloon.

Atmosphere was great. The valet guys were the most helpful employees that I have ever experienced. They helped me takeoff my luggage my bikes with no complaints. I give them a 10 stars if it was possible.

The first and last experience with a hotel is so crucial for setting the tone and the lasting memory of a place and Steve nailed it with the balloon animals for the kids on our way out. My kids got in the car and said I would come back to Portland to see that guy again.

Excellent hotel with even better customer service. I stayed here 5 days and the price was very reasonable. I enjoyed the free breakfast every morning, free cocktails every evening, and the easy access to the amenities. Most of all, I was thoroughly impressed with the valet service. Although it’s a bit pricey at $65 a night, the entire staff was extremely quick, attentive, and friendly. Steven was absolutely amazing, had such a great personality and conversation, and was very helpful. It was overall a great experience!!

My husband and I stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown for a 10 day business trip, and we had an excellent experience from check in to check out. This historic hotel has beautiful architectural details that give it a lot of character, and every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked each morning with waffles, made to order omelets, and plenty of other options. The evening reception was another nice perk, with complimentary drinks and snacks after a long day. A special thank you to Dolly, who checked us in and provided great restaurant recommendations that helped us make the most of our stay. The valet team was also outstanding, and Steve especially went above and beyond with transportation recommendations and helpful tips for getting around the city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities made our stay memorable, and I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing i did not like. Everything was super amazing. So happy with my stay.

Stayed a few years ago and they have clearly moved up in the world, very well taken care of and clean! Last visit felt a bit more downtown than I would have liked, and this time felt like a very nice hotel. One of the best locations in the Hilton lineup, and Steven the guest services coordinator made us feel like millionaires on arrival and departure.

Right in the middle of a very sketchy area downtown - I was expecting the pearl district to be nice but it's actually quite different just walking a few blocks away. Don't use the valet service - $65/day and they randomly charge you for extra days.

Just stayed 1 night on the way to the coast. Amazing hotel with interesting history. Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. A great hotel stay starts at the front curb, and Steve and Pierre nailed it. They were highly professional and efficient, but what we appreciated most was how genuinely friendly and welcoming they were. They clearly love what they do and it shows in their excellent service!

The room was huge for a family of five for a week, breakfast was wonderful but the staff were exceptional especially Steven the door man!
