Hotel The Hans - Connaught Place, New Delhi

Breakfast was good. Overall it's fine. I feel like the reviews of this place are overly harsh. It's and old hotel and it shows its age but given what was available around it, The Hans is totally acceptable.

It's an old hotel that is showing its age. The staff decided to not help me by storing my bags for a few hours until my flight which I found surprising and annoying, that could have been better.

Nice service guys at reception, great room and great view but honestly FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. get a hotel that doesn’t ditch you at the airport after promising to send a driver. Get a hotel that is clearly signposted and doesn’t have its entry way in a creepy parking lot. With no signposts. Get a hotel where the lights don’t flicker off and on at 4:30am and you have to call their technician… Get a hotel where the wifi works without the technician coming in. Get a hotel that doesn’t give you food poisoning. Get a hotel that charges you the rate they promised —7,000 plus tax not 11,000+ which is what they charged. And if you have any mobility issues or sight issues at all, be warned there is an unmarked two inch metal barrier in the entry way which is just a removed window pane and it’s going to kill someone. Get a hotel where someone reads their messages. This hotel is so stressful I cannot. Other than that great room great view.

Loved how they treated the guests. Hotel is located in a convenient place in Delhi city. Food was good. Mr. Manoj, the duty manager was very friendly and receptive.

There is no sign for hotel in-out,so uber driver confused to drop.It is also difficult to catch Uber.So please tell them to show In- out sign.

The newly renovated rooms are good and comfortable. Great to have staffs like Mr Manoj Kumar- Duty Manager and Mr. Negi at the Restaurant.

A lot, overall a bad place to stay. Restaurant doesn’t work. Staff is limited and if you order food, be prepared to wait atleast a couple of hours.

The location, the hotel accommodation , the staff in General the whole stay was throwing money in the drain, pointless to mention the staff who were only looking for being tipped.

The location was so good.it was close to almost everywhere i wanted to visit. The staff were so polite and professional

The booking process is quite cumbersome, even when using Booking.com. The hotel requires an advance payment to confirm the reservation and asks that the payment receipt be emailed to their accounting team, which does not appear to coordinate with the reservations team. This creates an outdated, inefficient process and results in unnecessary inconvenience for customers. I had paid the required advance to the hotel to confirm my booking and emailed the receipt to the id's provided. However, upon arrival, the reservations team informed me that they had not received any communication from their accounting team regarding the advance payment. This resulted in a delay of more than 30 minutes at check‑in, as the team took an unusually long time to verify the payment. At check‑in, I completed the full payment for my stay. Despite this, the hotel—without any notice—charged an additional amount to the credit card saved on my Booking.com account. I noticed the charge before check‑out and immediately informed the reservations staff. After reviewing the matter, they acknowledged the error and agreed to issue a refund. However, I was told that the refund would take at least 7–10 days because their accounting team needed to “verify and process” it. In reality, it took almost a month and required repeated follow‑ups. To make matters worse, the hotel deducted a processing fee from the refund. When I asked why a processing fee was being applied to refund money to an Indian bank account—especially when the error was not mine—no explanation was provided. This was, by far, the most disappointing customer service experience I have encountered in the service industry.

The location was the best thing about this place. It is ideal for business trips.

Food - very limited menu. Keep a food delivery app at hand. There's a disconnect with Booking.com and reception desk. The reception desk doesn't check the advance payment on this portal. So before you pay the bill, cross check the invoice.

Due to suffering fraud I can't recommend to this hotel to anyone

Hotel double charged us and repeatedly lied about processing a refund of the duplicate charge. Fraud.

The location was fine and centrally located. Breakfast had a fair variety and pleasant.

The hotel was old and lacked cleanliness, the bathroom especially was very dirty, full of bugs! Which despite complaints and removal kept returning. Also, curtains, linens etc were dirty. Very limited charging spots and far from beds. Also people kept knocking on door throughout the night which felt very unsafe. There was also loud music noise from adjacent rooms that didn't get resolved. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. It meets the loaction needs for a short stay but lots of comparable options available for cheaper nearby.

La primera noche nos habíamos alojado en un hotel que en España no se hubiera considerado ni pension de mala muerte, por lo que este, por puro contraste, nos pareció una maravilla. En cualquier caso para un español este sería un hotel "correcto", que debió de ser muy bueno hace 40 años pero que no sería de 4 estrellas en España, aunque claro, Delhi es otro mundo. Las camas son muy cómodas, el baño está limpio y el personal es muy amable, el entorno es razonablemente seguro con tiendas y restaurantes así que en general, satisfechos.

Necesitaría una renovación y un mejor mantenimiento, por ejemplo de los A/A. Por otro lado, pagamos a razón de 125 euros la noche, lo que personalmente creo que es caro, pero tampoco es que tuviéramos mucha opción.
