The elevators are the slowest ever 🤣 That all I can find I didn’t like.

Easy walking distance to downtown sights. Clean, good parking, and right off the main highway. Front desk was helpful. Bed was very large and very comfortable.

There were two chairs in the room which is one more than hotels often have, and while both were very different types of chairs, both were really uncomfortable, with the backs being way too far from our backs. This was also the case with some of the furniture in the dining area. Not sure who picked out their chair furniture but they must not have had comfort in mind. Also, could use brighter lights in the room and bathroom. And one of the two elevators was out-of-order during three days of our stay.

The view from our room! The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the lobby was clean and was within walking distance to everything.

It was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in

The breakfast was really not good. The English muffins were rock solid, the eggs really dry, the sausage tasted very bad quality.

The location was perfect, and it had an ev charging station which was something I needed as I traveled from out of town in my electric vehicle.

The room was clean and large which was great to be able to hold our luggage. We only stayed one night but we have stayed here before and it's a good location, clean and comfortable hotel with lovely staff. They gave us a late check out which was appreciated since our flight from Toronto arrived at 3am!

Nothing. Everything was as expected

The room was clean and size decent. The hotel is in one of the taller buildings in the city so pending on the location of your room, you might get a good view. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was facing west so was looking back towards the hospital. It's about 10 min walk to water street where all the shops and restaurants are located but a bit far from the rooms and jellybean row (about 25min walk). The breakfast selection was good and the staff were helpful. There is a swimming pool and gym but I didnt use those. The air con was working great considering it was during the heatwave and massive forest fire.

Ils y vont beaucoup trop fort sur la climatisation. Il faudra faire vos réglages dans la chambre.

Clean modern & easy location

The location is great, convenient for walking to Water Street and lots of amazing dining options. The room was comfortable and the bed great. There are no safes in the rooms though, which was odd. The parking lot had lots of space and the staff was responsive to any needs.

Staff is very responsive, specially Joseph at F/O and Zina in housekeeping.

Location is towards the outskirts of town. Internet was patchy and chargeable (unless you’re a Hilton Honors member). Same for the water bottles in the room. Coffee service in the restaurant shut down at 10 am (everyone may not enjoy the (in room) Keurig options.

I stayed for almost a week at the Hilton Garden Inn St. John's while on a business trip. My room was on the 12th floor and a harbor view. For the modest $ for harbor view, I think it was totally worth it. It was so cool to see the various huge working ships in the harbor and on clear days I could see all the way to Signal Hill. Reception was efficient and I appreciate the digital key, however you will need a physical key for the parking in/out access. I loved the room + Extremely quiet. I didn't hear anyone else, not even from the hallways and I noticed a brush sweep seal on the hallway door and its these attention to details items that really stand out. + Great bed and linen quality + Laminate hardwood flooring + Super clean + Huge (genuine high def) TV with streaming services you use with your own login + HVAC system was strong and efficient. The little text on the panel is a bit challenging to see. I saw another reviewer giving negative comments on the loudness of the HVAC. It didn't bother me as I like the "white noise" effect at night and you can turn the HVAC down or off. + Alarm clock, plenty of USB outlets, good lighting, a comfortable lounge chair + A proper adjustable work chair on wheels + Microwave, fridge, coffee maker + A nice little alcove near the entrance with drawers and clothes storage + Iron/ironing board + Eco friendly dispensers in the bathroom + Towels in bathroom like new Not note: no room safe The gym was well equipped and a decent size I did not use the pool but it looked in great shape I had dinner at the onsite restaurant one night and it was very good (portion sizes big) There is a mini convenience store in the lobby It was a 10 minute walk to the start of the restaurant zone on Water street. One of the 2 elevators was out of commission on my stay but I never had to wait long. My only suggestion for improvement; - During my stay, there was very little staff engagement from the 2 front desks. Even if the lobby was empty and I walked by, no one ever initiated a "hello".....although If I initiated, they were friendly.

My stay was good overall. However, on the second day, my door fob suddenly stopped working and I wasn’t able to get into my room. I called the staff around 9 p.m., but they also couldn’t get it to work. They mentioned that the battery in the lock mechanism seemed low, and since it was late, there was no technician available to fix it. They let me in using a manual key and told me a technician would come at 8 a.m. the next morning. Unfortunately, no one arrived by 8:15 a.m., and because I needed the manual key to leave and re-enter the room, I had to skip my morning gym plans. The lock was finally fixed later that evening when I returned around 9 p.m. My recommendation to management is to implement a process to check and replace door lock batteries before they fail—perhaps by tracking installation and replacement dates. This would help prevent similar inconveniences for future guests.

I just stayed 8 nights at this hotel and it was a 10 STAR EXPERIENCE! Spotless clean, great amenities, really enjoyed the restaurant BUT what makes this hotel stand out, THE SERVICE! From my first phone call with Paula at front desk, her big welcome upon checkin and ensuring my requests were followed through. Joseph in the evening, quick to serve and always with a smile. Joe at front desk, he seems to be around all the time and always happy to assist. I expressed my appreciation to the General Manager Tracy, another great experience, a true leader. They made every interaction a memorable one, they are all hospitality superstars. Highly recommend this hotel. Thanks everyone for making this stay so AWESOME! See you again soon, Frank

Location was excellent. Comfortable rooms. Morning coffee is excellent. Hotel Parking lot accessibility using room key was very convenient.

There is no maintenance staff available on the weekends. Our door lock malfunctioned and no one working on the weekend trained to fix it. No key card access to our room.

We stayed at this Hotel for 10 nights,the staff was super friendly, the room was AWESOME, the view was SPECTACULAR, hotel was very clean as were the rooms, Koodos to the cleaning staff. Big shout out to the kitchen staff. Great location,10 min. walk to Mary Browns Centre/ George Str.

hotel was clean with linens replaced each morning after use, comfortable beds; beautiful view.

we were charged extra for parking, and bottles of water that we didn't drink. multiple vehicles broken into in the parking area. coffee machine didn't work and was full of water from previous guests; when we told the staff they said It would be looked at, but no one checked in on it; but we still got coffee from the breakfast area in the morning.

Restaurant was good. Some staff great, others not so great.

I inadvertently left a couple of items in my room when I checked out. They, mysteriously, did not make it to last and found.

It was a very good location, the staff was friendly and the room was clean and well appointed. We also paid a small amount extra and breakfast was included. Breakfast was very good.

That we had to pay to park. It wasn't an significant charge for one nights parking but, most if not a;; guests are going to arrive by car. Parking should be factored in to the price of the room.

The Hilton Garden Inn St john's is a beautiful hotel. Extremely clean, comfy beds, shower is spacious and hot. Staff is very accommodating, and friendly. Great hotel.

Stayed at the HGI Halifax airport just for one night between flights with family, everything was very clean, staff professional, restaurant was good (try the fish&chips!) shuttle was working flawlessly! The only downside is that the room are a tad bit smaller then other HGI airport hotel in Canada, but it does not really matter for short stays!

I was charged $30 to park my vehicle. It is outrageous to charge a customer to park their vehicle at a hotel when they are a paying customer at the hotel.

Coffee set up, pool and larger rooms. Like that you also serve food.

Very close to my Mom's home so we can walk to see her.
