Comfort Inn & Suites Barrie - Highway 400

The room was very clean and quiet. We were on the 1st floor.

The breakfast was ok, we went down early around 6:30 ish and some hot trays were not replenished but there was a baseball team there and things disappeared fast. I would definitely recommend this hotel in spite of this.

Very large room and comfortable beds. Plenty of parking.

We didn’t know it was a pet friendly hotel and there was a dog barking like crazy. We asked to be moved but weren’t able to accommodate as hotel was full. Staff were friendly but said there was nothing they could because it was a dog.

Breakfast was exceptional and the location is great, like 5 minutes from the go train and also close to Lake Simcoe.

My husband had a meeting in the morning and the WiFi was not that good.

The room was very spacious, and extra clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Breakfast could have used a bit more variety. But quality was very good

Try two rooms, both had that moisture smell. With in 4 hr my throat was swollen and sore. Was hoping they were no mushrooms.

Very comfortable room.

The gym was dirty. There was no paoer towel, no cleaning supplies to wipe the equipment and tge water machine in the gym was not working. The flooring, although durable, was very slippery.

Les bornes de recharge pour véhicule électrique étaient payantes alors que cela n’était pas annoncé. De plus, les heures du déjeuné n’étaient pas annoncées à notre arrivée et on nous a refusé l’accès le temps venu. La propreté des lieux laissait à désirer.

It was a good location for us and it was clean and quiet.

The bedroom was advertised as two queen size beds but they weren’t queen size. The beds were actually double size. At breakfast they ran out of eggs so they served potatoes, bacon and beans but no eggs left. Some of the creamer for the coffee was old and it would curdle in the coffee cup. There are no elevators at this hotel even though is multi level.

The floors were disgusting, I was wearing white socks and once I took my shoes off at the front door and walked around the room I noticed the floors felt sticky and after about an hour of walking around the room my white socks are now black. I have a picture to prove it. It was so gross. The floors looked like they were bubbling and so sticky

The rooms were very basic. I booked a suite bit it lacked very basic things. We travelled with an infant so was very difficult for us.

They hold a very large damage deposit.

It was clean and quiet. The desk staff were very helpful.

The door to the bathroom is a sliding barn door style. This does not provide enough privacy. I prefer a bathroom that has a solid closing door.

The bed was very comfortable and it was a quiet room. Did not hear the next room or hallway noise.

There was no clock in the room, the window blind was broken and the window would not open so we could get some fresh air. No instructions on how to get the tv to work. The remote battery was very weak. No info on any nearby restaurants.

Decent price, friendly front desk staff, very comfortable bed, 24 hour coffee/water available.

No elevator, and the breakfast was very limited.

Breakfast room and food areas were a zoo on Sunday morning. People were eating standing up and lined up to try to get to the food area. Both areas were way too small for the number of people they were trying to service. We ended up walking over to Tim's which we normally wouldn't do as it basically added another unexpected $20 to our stay at the Comfort Inn

Dog hair on the chairs in the room. When we arrived, hotel doors were locked and we needed to call the front desk to unlock the doors. Check in took at least 10 minutes, which at 3am and after a 10 hour drive was the last thing I wanted. Reason given was that the receptionist has to complete a survey !! Seriously ??

Appreciate the breakfast! Please add medical for reason for travel, please! TRAVELLING FOR MEDICAL REASONS. APPT. WITH DOCTOR AT LONDON HOSPITAL.

The bugs in one of the beds. The door wouldn't close automatically all the way. The shower curtain wouldn't stay shut.

The room is cozy and the beds are comfortable. The staff were friendly and approachable as well.

The price for the room was too high, and there isn’t an elevator for easy access to the rooms. Also the air conditioner seems to be leaking water, my feet got wet when I stepped close to it, overall it was not the most pleasant stay.

We are seniors and we're placed on the 3rd floor. At no time during booking were we advised the facility has no elevator. The room only had a small closet to hang items, no dresser or wardrobe to put any clothes in that could not be hung up. The finishing in the bathroom was extremely poor quality. As for the breakfast, although included in our stay, nothing offered was appealing enough to cause us to partake. We would never stay in this facility again or reccomend it to anyone.

When you pulled up, it looked a little shabby because nothing had been mowed or weeded. It could use a pot or two of flowers but once we got inside the facility, it was OK.

The king suite was fantastic. It was large, comfortable, the correct temperature and on floor level. It had all the amenities, was clean and we were super satisfied. The pillows were top notch, I loved having a place to sit down and enjoy a meal in our room without feeling cramped.

I can't think of anything that we weren't happy with.

The suite was huge. Very clean and the bed was super comfortable.

The bathtub was chipped and there was a huge spot on the ceiling above the bed that showed a repair. Could be painted to match the rest of the ceiling.

Das Gebäude ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Fenster ließ sich nicht öffnen- es scheint noch aus dem BauJahr des Hauses zu sein. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach, mich störte, das alles in Einweg verpackt ist. Sehr viel Müll schon am frühen Morgen.

Has everything you need - very practical and all thought through (iron, microwave, utensils, great hairdryer)

It’s ideal for us and our little dog when we’re in town for dog events. There’s an area nearby to exercise the dog and a nearby restaurant that has a dog friendly patio

The breakfast buffet used to be a bit better. The bagels were stale, the toaster wasn’t working properly and there was less choice.

My room was right next to the parking lot, and unfortunately I could hear people chatting, arguing, and even crying outside from around 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. There were also car alarms and horns during the night. As a result, I was unable to get a proper night’s sleep.

Nice room. Convenient back door access for quick trip to Tim Hortons and restaurants. Front desk staff very helpful. Cleaning/Maintenance staff very nice.

Small ant problem but was quickly addressed. Constant interference on TV

Breakfast was a good variety. It was hot and plentiful. Room was clean . On our way to breakfast, we noticed scrambled eggs spilled on the stairs. We told the gentleman at the checkin desk. It was cleaned up immediately.

We were satisfied with everything.

Jacuzzi tub in room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast provided was pretty good, lots of choices.

The property lacked any kind of amenities and was very pricy for what it provides. The building looks very dated. For such a large room, there were no dressers to put your clothes, only a small awkward closet at the front door. A dresser in the bedroom area would have been nice.

We had a warm greeting at check-in and enjoyed a cup of tea and a lemon water ( available 24/7) as we got our room assigned. Surprisingly, stylish decor, the bed was super comfortable, there was a microwave and mini fridge in the room, great chairs. We loved it! A basic breakfast selection with but nice sausage patties and eggs and bagels. Despite there being a large group staying there, with one of the gathering spaces very close to our room, we didn't hear a sound! Which was great!

The waffle maker and batter dispenser were a bit challenging- the timer didn't work on the maker, which was heavy to try to double check if they were done and the batter dispenser didn't stop pouring leaving quite the mess. Can you not make a few and put them in a warming tray? There was quite the gathering of smokers outside as we arrived -but can't do much about that!
