They provided us with the worst room in the entire hotel. The room smelled like pee. The bathroom back door handle was broken. The air conditioner on the floor was not working. The ice machine not working. The room smelled musty and old and not clean. Just wondering why the hotel front desk decided that me and my kids deserved to be placed in the worst room in the entire hotel. Especially for the amount of money paid. Even the hotel manager admitted the room is the worst.

The hot tub was working the first day, but the second day it barely worked at all. the main reason we booked this hotel was because we wanted to go in the hot tub. Both days but only got one day out of it really

During our annual fishing trip to Canada, we have been driving up most of the way from the US, and stopping overnight somewhere in Canada, before finishing out the drive on Saturday morning. This year's choice was the Hampton in Barrie, and it turned out to be a good one. We slept well, everything seemed clean, and the place was relatively quiet. The Receptionist who checked us in, also recommended a local pizza place who would deliver to the hotel, and he called us when it arrived. Turned out to be a great choice for dinner after a long day of driving. For next year's trip, we are definitely considering stopping here again.

Room was spacious, bed and linens fairly comfortable, bathroom well stocked. Breakfast was pretty good.

The toilet was low like a kids toilet. An improvement would be comfort height.The shower/bathtub is outdated. The bathtub has an obvious crack in it (room 408) and the repair has not held. For breakfast, drinking beverages and eating food out of paper and cardboard is just so tacky.

Die Zimmertüren fallen so laut ins Schloss, dass an Schlaf nicht zu denken war, solange andere Gäste noch ein- und ausgingen. Außerdem sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig.

Beds were not comfortable

It was clean,staff were friendly. There was continental breakfast and the timing was good. There was fresh coffee 24 hours. They had a poop disposal bin for dogs.

The back area for dogs was a bit small. There were only western omelettes and sausage for breakfast. A better option would have been scrambled eggs and bacon for my liking.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was adequate and had enough variety.

Hotel is dated and needs renovation. Layout of room was a bit weird because the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom. This made things a bit inconvenient since we were sharing the room with our adult kids and getting ready took longer than expected because of the room layout.

Given a free upgrade no hand soap, no tissue, broken toilet needed plunging twice. Noisy water taps. Hotel is getting very tiered looking. When we complained at front desk on check out they were sorry but still charged us for a pop. Last stay for me

Paper plates at breakfast and wooden cutlery that’s pretty useless. For the price of the stay, I would expect proper plates and cutlery. Also, maybe refrain from having a staff meeting in the main seating area, away from customers ears.

Our room was clean and a nice size for a family of five. The staff were incredible and the breakfast was delicious.

The pool and hot tub were out of service which was the reason we booked this hotel. The third party booking service didn’t have it on their website and even that day promoted the pool on site without notice the pool was out of service. Pull out couch was the most uncomfortable bed.

I loved my stay here. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beds were comfortable. The staff were accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The breakfasts in the mornings were great and the coffee 24/7 was AMAZING!!!!

I was disappointed that the pool facilities were under construction while there. It would have been good to know prior to booking HOWEVER the hotel was very apologetic and given the chance, we would stay here again, ABSOLUTELY!

I travel frequently to Barrie and have stayed at this hotel before with no complaints. This time was different. Front desk staff confused by housekeeping. Housekeeping knocked on our door even though we had the DND sign out and told us we were supposed to be checking out, but we had 3 more nights there. Then we asked for a room clean and front desk staff said they would but then didn't saying they couldn't get around to it because they were busy, then they called us and said they didn't do it because we had a DND sign out, when we didn't at that point. They were rude about this when we tried to explain. Then the following morning housekeeping tried to come in at 9:30am when we were sleeping and we have no idea why. Breakfast was cold. Hair in shower not ours. Magnet not working on shower curtain so water goes everywhere so we had to put our towels there the whole time to sop it up. Sheets don't fit on mattresses. Pool under maintenance, not told at time of booking. Staff just said "sorry for your situation".

Not really worth it for what they charge. Were interrupted by housekeeping our first morning (had DND sign on door) and told we were checking out, when in reality we were staying 3 more nights. Asked for a room clean and it did not happen, front desk said it was a Sunday so they were busy doing rooms that had checked out, then staff said we had DND sign on door, which was not true, Then housekeeping tried to come in at 9:30 am the next morning when we were sleeping. I have no idea why they came to our door. Breakfast was cold Pool under maintenance but were not told prior to booking Hair in shower, not ours Magnet not working on shower curtain so water goes everywhere, we had to have a build up of towels on floor in front of shower. When we did voice our concerns front desk staff were quite rude.

Basically the only thing I likes about this property was the coffee in the lobby.

First off the guy at the front desk was kind of rude. Our room stunk of must or something, grossed me out. Cracks and aged bathroom for sure needs some work. We asked for an extra blanket and pillows for our kids and it took 2 texts, a phone call and 45 minute wait to get them. Slept like crap (so did other guests that we ran into in the halls). Breakfast was GROSS and I felt sick after.

It was very clean and the staff was very nice.

Some guests were very loud at night. Some people also left garbage by the pool, broken googles and coffee cups.

Business travel can be very hectic. Due to last-minute schedule changes, this establishment was the one with available occupancy. I was pleasantly surprised with the high level of service and professionalism displayed by all members of the staff. They sent a short text message simply to check in to ensure that everything was satisfactory. It was a very nice touch.

Stayed here for 1 night when travelling out of Toronto. Got a bit snowed in due to a winter storm - the staff went above and beyond and were so friendly. The carpark was cleared in no time. From the reception staff, the manager who stood and chatted to us to the lady helping out at breakfast - this hotel has a lot of heart. It was a shame we were only here for 1 night. Huge room, clean and perfect for a family. Help yourself breakfast was great - very impressed by the waffles. Highly recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and well-maintained. The beds were cozy.

While the beds were comfortable and the room itself was clean, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service and an extremely uncomfortable encounter with security. During our time in the pool area, the security guard stood watching us the entire time, which felt unnecessary and unsettling. When we returned to our room, he followed us down the hallway and later knocked on our door claiming our TV was too loud. He specifically said he could hear it with his ear up against the door, which only added to how inappropriate and disturbing the situation felt. After that interaction, I had an awful night’s sleep. Every noise made me anxious, worried he would be back at the door again. We called the front desk to ask if there had been any noise complaints, and they told us there were none. When we explained how uncomfortable the situation had made us, we were told they would speak to him, but the damage was already done. I truly don’t understand why our stay needed to be made so uncomfortable, especially since we were barely at the hotel and had plans for most of the day. On top of that, check-in was frustrating. We were delayed and late for a reservation because only one person was actively helping guests at the desk while others stood by watching. This was particularly irritating since we already had to wait until 3 PM to check in. Because of these issues, I would not choose to stay at this specific location again.

Lovely spread. Everything organized and clean with staff nearby to help. I was really happy that when I told the staff that I was there because I've travelled from far to get my son's surgery and that the only reason I booked the hotel was because they had a pool, they worked hard to reopen the pool so we could have solid family time. I really was thankful and my son had a blast.

I didn't like the peameal bacon as it wasn't cooked very well. It should have crispy edges and everything was soggy and un appealing. The toilet ran from the time we got there and we had to keep working yo stop it from running. In the end, it ended up overflowing. The beds and bedding were very uncomfortable.

Last night we were bkt advised a hockey tournament was in town. We didnt sleep at all the kids were banging on all the doors in the hallway the pool you could move the elevator was giant ride for them as if they were at an amusement park never have I experienced a ride too get too a floor so long in my life. Not only did I not get sleep, I did not get too unwind in a pool for 10 mintues nor did I get too enjoy my breakfast. I booked with your hotel for various reasons of accommodation I am promised and you failed miserably unfortunately, I am depleted exhausted and irritable I travel from barrie too sudbury and grabbed a hotel here cause your night stay was terrible, I am missing a day of work cause your establishment and accommodation, I booked a crappy hotel cheap dive of a hotel and I have been treated better then I have at your establishment, I have clean beds clean sheets peace and quite and a comfortable bed I paid 156 for this night and tomorrow's breakfast looks decent. I will never stay at a Hampton ever again! I'm not one too complain however this merets a full on review and refund if I ever thought ine was due, I dont expect i will recieve any compensation however I can control where I stay and moving forward unfortunately I will not be staying at a Hampton, I will stay at a Marriott

The amenities were good. The staff was nice.

The breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The hot food was inedible. The waffle bar was a novelty, but I’m a grown person and I don’t eat waffles with sprinkles, etc.. Also, there was no non-dairy milk for the cereal It’s 2025, people want to eat healthy. The bed was really uncomfortable. It was springy and old. The pillows were awful. The linens were old and. The room felt dingy. The light switches were impossible to figure out. It was either really really bright or pitch black. There was nowhere to fill up a water bottle. I had to pay almost 6 dollars for a bottle of water. Oh my gosh… the water pressure in the shower was a joke. My room was only cleaned one out of the two days I was there, and it wasn’t because I overslept or anything. I was out of the room all day. I paid almost $400 a night for a shitty hotel in the middle of nowhere. I still don’t understand how this happened. I was under the impression that Hampton Inn was affordable.

The room was very spacious; extremely larger than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. The food was excellent and the hospitality was great.. Our stay was very comfortable; would definitely recommend.

N/A - There was nothing we wouldn't recommend. We were very pleased with everything. Hope to stay again on our next trip to Barrie. The floor was very peaceful; walls were not thin, could not hear others.

I was given contradicting information and was told we could pay for room in advance, then when my husband showed up to pay for room in advance he was told he could not do it. People were nice, just very frustrating.

I had to extend my stay due to bad weather and road closures and the hotel would not accommodate.

Mandy was terrible! Terrible attitude, terrible service. Wont be returning because of her. Keep in mind I travel often and stay at many Hilton hotels and never have I heard you cant drink alcohol in your hotel room that you’ve purchased.

I liked the hotel’s great location and the friendly, helpful staff.

I was disappointed that breakfast relied on paper plates, cups, and disposable cutlery, which didn’t feel environmentally sustainable, and the key cards had to be re-magnetised several times.

I was expecting a jacuzzi tub based on what I signed up for. The room only had a regular tub. I was disappointed but did not wnt to deal with it because I was tired, so never brought it up. I realized it once I got into the room.

Love the hotel location

Didn’t like where our room was. We were on the main floor and prior we’d always been up on the sixth floor. Going forward in the future we would rather be up on the sixth floor.

The 24 hr coffee availability. The gym was well set up. A quiet room. The staff were excellent.

I did not sleep well. Although there is surface padding on the mattresses, this had little effect on them being old and springy. They also grunted when u sat or lay on them. Room 508. It was overwhelming in the breakfast room with the number of people, but this was probably to be expected the day after Thanksgiving and presumably a full hotel.

This hotel is spacious but the rooms are dated. Needs a redo! The toilet is the old low type, the toilet runs all night, the faucet in the sink has seen better days. They were too cheap to have bacon or ham at breakfast and I have read other reviews from last year stating the same thing. Probably another cheap owner that doesn’t want to update the hotel. Although I have stayed here before I won’t ever stay here again!
