Coast Swift Current Hotel

It was close to the highway and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast offered lots of variety and everyone was helpful from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff.

New owners and cooks so the continental breakfast was just okay due to weak and cool coffee. The eggs and sausages were tasty however there wasn't very much left so my husband and I shared what was left. I know this will improve as the staff was on top of asking us if we needed anything more. I am providing this comment as this was only the 3rd day since new ownership so am expecting this was more due to start up issues and problem coffee maker. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. We ate the night before at Smiley's bar and the food and beer was very good. Again, great lady doing the bar tending and service. We highly recommend. We had the nachos, chicken taco salad and chicken wrap with fries.

There is no hair drier in the room so that would be an improvement.

We had a great stay at the Coast Hotel in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and honestly it was better than we expected for a stopover on the highway. Our room was big, bright and spotless, with plenty of space to spread out our bags after a long drive. The beds were extremely perfect, and we both slept right through the night without waking up once, which does not always happen in hotels. We did not eat at the restaurant or try the breakfast this time because we got on the road early, but both are available if you have more time. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful with directions. If we come across Coast Hotels anywhere else in our travels we would definately stay with them again.

We had a great stay at the Coast Hotel in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The room was large and clean. The beds were very comfortable. We did not use the restaurant or take advantage of the breakfast, but it is available . If we see Coast Hotels in our travels we would definitely stop there again.

The room was recently renovated and very spacious.It was also very quiet even though the hotel was at near capacity the weekend we were there. Breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly. A solid 3 star plus.

The location

The general atmosphere of the hotel is very muted. Breakfast has always been included but no more, and it didn’t start until exactly 7:30, on a Saturday!! The whole hotel seemed not very guest friendly except that a “Guest Of The Day” was chosen and posted on the reception desk.

Room got chilly and we were unable to warm it up. No tea option in the room.

We had a wonderful person greet us who was very kind and professional. Our room was spacious, clean, and quite peaceful. The breakfast staff and food were good. The only recommendation I have is to improve the lighting in the back, as it was quite dark and made it difficult to see the room numbers and unload our vehicle.

The best thing about this hotel was the front desk staff person. I believe her name was Anu. We arrived very late and there was some confusion with our booking. She sorted it out efficiently and professionally. She also ensured our pooch got some treats and was all around a pleasure.

This is one of our favorite places to stay at.

Spent two nights here. The room was clean and comfortable with no surprises. A bit of highway noise but not bad. The Front desk lady Ms Nixon went over and above to assist us with a booking issue until we got it resolved. She was extremely professional as she negotiated her way through the problem yet still attentive to all the other guests. Can’t thank her enough. Certainly makes a hotel stay more personal and we would definitely stay here again if we pass through Swift Current. Also There is a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel with great food and friendly staff. All in all a wonderful, restful stay. Beautiful sunset view from our room!

The rooms have a very old and smell musty smell. There is no thermostat to control the temperature but only the manual control under the window. The air conditioner/air exchange unit was so noisy that there is not possible way to sleep with that noise. This motel doesn’t not come close to the standards that we would expect with Coast hotels and feel that the brand should be pulled from this Swift Current motel.

Comfortable room with nice bedding and temperature easy to control. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was fine and sink separate to toilet/ shower was helpful as we could both get ready easier. The only downfall was the toilet/ shower room had black hairs on the floor and the area behind the door was filthy

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was roomy annd clean and beds comfortable. Staff was pleasant and food at the restaurant was very good.

Bed was comfy and the access to the outside was great for the dogs. Room could have used more lighting and the power bar would trip when you used the TV and microwave at the same time.

We arrived in Swift Current and stayed for only the first night of our five night stay at the Days Inn, where our room could have doubled as a clinical trial for new antibiotics. After quickly checking out and booking into the Coast Hotel, it felt like crossing into another world entirely. The room was spotless, comfortable, and clearly maintained by housekeepers who take real pride in their work. Breakfast was simple and tasty. It wasn’t anything that would earn a Michelin rating, but it was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared - exactly the kind of start you want to your day. Although the meal is not included in the cost of the room, it only costs $5 for a wide variety of breakfast foods made available in buffet style. I've had far worse meals for far more money. The real magic, though, was the staff. Sonu and Eva at the front desk were phenomenal. We happened to arrive at shift change, so both were there — and without us even asking, they realized my octogenarian father would do better in a more accessible room. Five minutes later, we had a better-located room, keys in hand, and my dad feeling like royalty. From the front desk to the breakfast crew, every staff member from the wonderful housekeeping crew (one of whom went out of her way to find extra coffee for us) to the breakfast staff went the extra mile in a way that felt genuine, not scripted. If you want to feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely valued as a guest, the Coast Hotel in Swift Current is where you’ll find it.

This is a beautifully renovation of an older property. The staff were great and we very much enjoyed the quality of the beds.

The room with the toilet and tub was tiny and it made it quite difficult to close the door from inside.

There was a stale smell in the room, and the carpet was stained. The bar had no windows and had around a dozen noisy gambling machines. Breakfast was very good.

The friendliness, and professional demeanor of the staff was commendable - a great combination of professional and personable!!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the manager of the hotel who went above and beyond to ship the refrigerated medication that had accidentally left behind. She was able to get the medication in time for my next dose and before I left my last stop in Canada before continuing out of the country. Thank you so so much! Great customer service!

Front desk clerk very welcoming and accomadating . Our rooms heating/cooling fan very loud. Clean bedding but found sheets to be rough in texture. Our fridge only kept cool on top level for our food. Overall decent average mid priced accomadations

Old equipment, air conditioner was loud and vibration noisy. The unit shut down at 12:30 AM, we just had to deal with it! An old building with shed infrastructure. Never again going to select a Coast property.

Front staff was very friendly and accommodating. Was able to get the ground room we needed for traveling with our bicycles.

Would recommend to anyone who has pets.

I was pleased that breakfast was not "continental". However, I was disappointed in the food. It was not kept warm enough. I would have preferred plain pancakes with flavoured syrups rather than stuff in the pancakes.

Overall, I liked the hotel. It was only for one night, but we choose it due to it’s proximity to the #1 hwy, other ratings and reviews, and the price. Aside from a really soft bed, we’re happy with our stay. Thank you!

Check in staff were very hard to work with and not very understanding of our situation. There was an error with booking through Expedia which neither side has sorted out
