The room was lovely, the views to the castle were great, and the location was absolutely perfect. The room had everything you need, such has dryer / ion/ fridge good light. The curtains were perfect to block the morning light.

During the night, we had the feeling we were on top of a Party, music and vibrations, we were at the highest floor, and we could feel everything, I was used ear plugs and still feel the sound.

Staff extremely helpful, very central location wiothin walking distance to most sites.

The location very close to most of Edinburgh attractions, the reception staff very cooperative.

The smell in the room, the bed is not comfortable. The glasses transparent so the street pedestrians can see you in the room with the curtains not closing properly. AC is not functioning well

This was a cold hotel Perhaps the air conditioning had Ben kept on as the weather was turning. It made it uncomfortable at a high price .

We stayed here to see Luke Combs at The Murray field Stadium. As did most other guests. The hotel was immaculate, food was tasty and good value, and the staff were accommodating

Location for the Edinburgh Tattoo, easy (uphill) walk to the Castle. Our room was very clean and had a few nice touches like the Welcome card and soft drinks. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. Parking at nearby NCP was OK value at £20 discount for 24 hours parking.

Drop off area outside hotel was taken up by builders trucks so it was lucky there were no traffic wardens around when we arrived to take our luggage in.

The location is fantastic.

Nothing, Edinburgh is beautiful the the location of the hotel allows you to visit all the sites very easily.

terrible lifts, it was quicker to take the stares. Rooms felt basic even though they were superior. Very dark lighting in the room. All round tired yet expensive.

Lifts were a hassle with only one lift working it was always crowded and had to wait long .

When we arrived, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes to use the lift to get to our room because the staff had taken delivery of a large pallet of toilet rolls in the reception and were using the lifts to take them to the store room (or wherever they had to go). It was a really strange experience. Having stayed in many DTHilton’s never have I seen toilet rolls being delivered in the guest reception and multiple guests having to wait whilst the delivery was being unloaded. In addition, parking was a real challenge for us and spoilt our visit. We’d been travelling across Scotland and had a roof box on our car. We couldn’t use the provided car park due to low ceilings, and the hotel staff couldn’t recommend an alternative. It didn’t feel like we could have been the first guests to ever have a roof box so it was disappointing they couldn’t help at all.

Stayed on the first floor, high ceilings so made the rooms feel bigger. Fantastic location. Restaurant was nice and spacious. Only used for breakfast.

Uno de los ascensores no funcionaba. Había un olor desagradable en los pasillos de las habitaciones (2do piso) como a pegamento, pero no dentro de las habitaciones.

No kettle in room. Tried to order room service at 10:45pm and [dialled 0) the number rang out. Tried to connect to the wifi but wouldn’t accept name and room. Told the reception in the morning and she has replied “you should have told us and we would have given you a promo code”. - Personally I think, they should of given us/told us at check in time about wifi information. Rooms were clean and we got a decent sleep but felt it lacked in other ways (such as above) considering the cost of 1 night , therefore wouldn’t rush back!!

Nothing really as we left after 10 minutes of checking in.

Air conditioning was not working and the supervisor who did the check in didn’t tell. We came into the room and noticed, then called to check and she offered a fan. I asked for a change of rooms and she informed that lots of rooms had the AC not working, and offered a room with one bed, which wouldn’t really work for me and my teenager daughter. The room was very dusty and no windows were available to open so couldn’t stay, we left and still waiting for the refund.

Needs renovation, the bathroom shower is hazardous as have climb into bath tub to get to it, slippery and dangerous, smelly carpets the corridor smell of mouldy

Hotel was very nice and clean. The smell is very inviting. Staff and breakfast were very good. Overall very good stay!

Bed was comfortable, location was perfect for tourists and staff were friendly.

Our room didn't have a TV remote so we had to ask for one. Also the room only had feather pillows, I don't usually have to ask for synthetic because even a travel lodge has the two types so we had to ask for them. For the price of the room £580 for two nights I was expecting a more special room.. not much thought to décor and there was splashes on the wall, presumably tea? The only coffee pods provided for the room were decaf. It was hard not to pick up on the negatives as it was a booking for our anniversary and cost alot so the expectations are higher.

No concierge to help with luggage, no fridge in the room or cold water. I didn't like being asked to save resources ie not changing towels and sheets - in my opinion we are paying for these services already. I question as to whether it is to save the hotel expenses not necessarily the environment. There was an empty plastic sandwich type bag on the floor under a chair when we arrived - this makes me question how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned.

We loved the hotel and staff . However the vent in the toilet was not working and we couldn’t work the air conditioning and therefore it was very stuffy and warm which didn’t allow us to get a good sleep . The breakfast was poor even though there was a great selection , everything was tasteless and over cooked . The location was perfect for exploring the city . We will come back despite the issues .

Well maintained hotel with pleasant staff. Nice location convenient to walk around to nearby attractions and restaurants.

Disturbed by other hotel guests multiple times throughout the night. A guy was banging and screaming in the hallway on several occasions at 1:30am, 3am and 3:30am and we needed to be awake for our flight at 5 am so we didn’t get much sleep.

Place was pretty comfortable and is in prime location

The only thing I can think of is maybe more Chanel’s on tv instead of just local shows

Beds were not clean. Room cleaning was terrible. Even after clean you can find garbage on the floor. Even the cups were not clean after daily cleaning. Air condition was also not good enough.

Location was great, walking distance to Princes Street and the Old Town. Tour bus stops opposite which was great after a long day. Breakfast was okay'ish. If you went down at the right time it was good and fresh. It seemed a little later and the eggs were a bit watery and the bacon was hard. Juice machine was a good idea but it came out a bit warm. apple juice was the only juice which tasted of what it was meant to be. On the upside, the pancake machine nearly came home with me ;)

The location was okay, and the front desk staff was friendly.

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. There was a loud cracking noise multiple times per hour, especially in the early morning. Which kept waking me up. I could also hear very loud plumbing noises in the bathroom whenever someone in another room used their shower or toilet. Additionally, the cleaning crew knocked on my door despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being up, and there was no hairdryer in the room. For the price I paid, I wouldn’t expect these kinds of issues.

Jack was lovely to talk to during our stay at the Doubletree. He gave us good information on things to do around the city while we were staying here.

This hotel is close to everything in City Center. Rooms were bigger than normal and very comfortable. The staff was exceptional. My only issue was we chose a room on Bread Street and there was non-stop street noise from people walking by coming home from the pubs, car noise, motorcycle noise. It probably was the worst night of sleep I had in years. So dont get a room along the main party street unless you plan on being up all night!

Staff were polite and helpful.

Room decor and furniture was awful and desperately in need of replacement.

The breakfast was lovely, hot and very tasty veggie option, lots of fruit juice and cereals and a pancakes making machine. The staff were fantastic especially Robyn who looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. The room was very nice with a fantastic view of the Castle and it was a reasonable walk to town centre and the Royal Mile. Busses run past if you don't fancy the walk.

Some of the furniture in our room could do with updating and we found having a large TV at the end of our bed a bit odd.

Tanyia and Robyn were our servers each morning in the restaurant. We were well taken care of by both women and they were right on top of their game. We experienced exceptional service and extend our gratitude to them and to the hotel. Accommodations were wonderful at this hotel.

The DoubleTree by Hilton is such a wonderful establishment. The restaurants have excellent food, and all of the staff go above and beyond to help you have a great experience. Tetiana is particularly great! She helped provide wonderful service at breakfast and remembered us each day we came. We knew it would be an amazing day every time we saw her! We could not recommend this hotel and restaurant more!

Nice centrally located hotel in Edinburgh but needs a refurbishing. Room was large and comfortable. Tub is very high off the floor and requires attention when getting in and out of the tub. Only a single grab bar available but not where you need it for support. Comprehensive breakfast with accommodating waitstaff. Room lacks sufficient outlets for electronics. Centrally located to attractions especially the Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street and the Grassmarket. Restaurant doubles as breakfast area in addition to a bar. Delicious cocktails. Exercise/fitness center. [Peleton machines] Oru helpful at the front desk. Bring an umbrella and a raincoat, not an option.

We are having a nice stay. The hotel is in a great location to walk about and take in the City of Edinburgh. The view from our room of the Castle is incredible! The breakfast was great and the staff are lovely especially Tania!

The food selection and quality was great, as well as the service. Each day the staff greeted us and was very polite. Tania was very helpful.

We recently visited Ireland and Scotland. The one thing I noticed was that the service we received during breakfast and dinner was mediocre at best. That changed with our stay at ” Doubletree Edinburgh City Center” Here we received excellent service each morning during breakfast from Raul. He checked with us several times each morning to see if we needed anything, and consistently cleaned our table as needed!
