De locatie, in het centrum van Farnham, is voor ons de grootste troef van dit hotel. Bij mooi weer kan je lekker eten op het ruime terras.
Niets
Great staff and convenient location.
Not good for international travellers with suitcases, also the staff that did the morning shift during my stay could have taken a bit more effort to search and answer my questions. I would also suggest a spray washer near the toilet - its popular in Asia where toilet paper is not used as much as in the Western world. Finally, the interiors of the property needs a desperate uplift!
Wonderful staff at the reception desk.

Beautiful hotel, staff is very welcoming and friendly. I especially love the garden.

Lovely stay at the bush great rooms great location lovely staff
Nothing
I loved the garden and the court yard. Common rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable.
Group (18 persons) check-in was a disaster even though I had been in contact with reception several times giving them name of all in the group and room division. The reception had even confirmed that they had received all information they needed. We arrived early, so we just left our luggage and agreed to come back after our program late in the afternoon. However, when we arrived the reception had made their own room division which totally unacceptable. With difficulties they found my E-mails but again failed to read the up dates falling into chaos. For an hour the reception was paralyzed and made us just stand there and wait. Then they began to let us to the rooms gradually but did not fill them according to the final plan I had sent them leaving some rooms half full. In the end they did not have enough rooms and the leaders of the group were accommodated in small double rooms in the attics not corresponding the rooms we had reserved and paid for. Clearly the hotel does not have protocol about how to proceed before and when a big group arrives. Professional development here would not go a miss.
A lovely bright garden room with a door onto the lawn. Comfortable large bed. Well cooked breakfast. What's not to like.
The internal steps by reception could do with a rail to help us that need it. Paying £5 a night to park when you're already paying enough for the room. I queried this and was told it's because it's run by Parking Eye, well surely the hotel could either absorb it or include it into the room price, not make it an add-on. Grump over.
Location was good. Nice gardens and outside area.
Our room smelt of stale smoke or something equivalent. Really unpleasant.
Overall a good experience
Bedside lamp did not work
The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. I need to give an extra special thumbs up to the staff that served our evening meal. They were brilliant.
The weight of the duvet, but that’s just me I get too warm.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food was excellent and really good value. I will definitely recommend The Bush. Thank you to everyone at The Bush for making my stay so pleasant.
No complaints at all.
Good size room, clean and housekeeping is very helpful. Checkin staff is polite and welcoming. Breakfast includes cooked breakfast from menu and buffet.
Close to restaurants and shopping.
Room so space and clean
Never disliked anything
It's probably one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed in. Very pretty and elegant. Polite staff, comfortable bed, nice toiletries, and very helpful sun-blocking curtains. There was plenty of space in the room, and I love that there was a bathtub. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and plenty of choice as well. Definitely worth paying a little bit extra for it. Check out is 11am, unlike 10am in other hotels. And that one hour in a morning changes a lot. I would definitely recommend.
There is a £25 extra charge for early check-in which I haven't seen before. Seems strange, either the room is ready or it's not. Also, £5 charge for parking is awkward when there's lots parking available around.
Hotel was beautiful, room was amazing, staff were great.
Breakfast was weaker than expected. Poached eggs cooked solid, bacon "crispy". Pillow was far too soft, barely a pillow.
Excellent location, lovely grounds and beautiful decor. Lovely feel in the hotel.
A little expensive.
Always a great stay love the hotel
Room was good, bed comfy, shower excellent. Location great and staff very friendly and helpful
Price was overinflated for room and no breakfast, plus having to pay for parking on arrival
Lovely stay at a gorgeous hotel. Everything about it was beautiful , tasteful and all areas are clean and well kept. Spacious rooms, very well presented. Excellent breakfast and super service The receptionists Sasha and kristina were especially kind and helpful. We’d love to stay again
Great location Christina was amazing
All good
The bar area was quite nice. The garden is attractive. Some staff were very good.
It had very limited parking. The room was rather basic. There is only one coffee machine in the breakfast area which is irritating at busy times.
Breakfast was excellent. Really good food, well cooked. The sausages were outstanding and not the usual cheap rubbish at other hotels. Full English breakfast highly recommended. Accommodation was excellent, room was nice and well presented and the bed was very comfy, giving an excellent nights sleep. Highly recommended hotel. Staff were very friendly and professional.
Convenient location, cute little hotel
The shower clogs and doesn’t drain well.
Friendly staff good choice for breakfast
Overall everything
There isn’t anything
The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. The location was also great because I was attending a wedding and it was a ten minute drive to the wedding venue .
My mom’s sink didn’t drain so as she brushed her teeth, the water remained in the sink. She tried all efforts to rectify it but to no avail. She also could not reach anyone at the front desk despite calling a few times.
Cozy, unique, friendly, good food.
Slow check in and check out
Location
Perfectly located in the centre of Farnham this classic traditional English Hotel offers the perfect accommodation for a break. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who made us very welcome. Once settled into our room we ventured to the bar and garden which offers a very relaxed and picturesque atmosphere. Rooms are as expected for a 4 star Hotel with everything that you would need and a comfortable bed. We opted for the garden room with its patio area looking out onto the rear lawn. Overall a pleasure to stay at a this family owned hotel with accommodating helpful staff, a lovely breakfast and lovely surroundings.
Our family of 5 (kids 16, 14 & 11) stayed here as we were attending a family wedding at a venue nearby. From the moment we arrived (having travelled from Australia) we were made to feel like valued guests. It’s a beautiful property with some lovely surrounds - especially considering it’s in the town centre of Farnham. Walking into town for a meal or a drink was extremely easy and convenient. Our three night stay was broken up across two bookings meaning we had to move rooms after night one - but staff made it super easy for us moving all our bags for us and doing it in a really timely way meaning we weren’t without a room at all. We moved to an interconnected room meaning we had plenty of space. Whilst not the cheapest stay on our trip we were where a lot of the other wedding guests were also staying so we were happy to pay. Thank you.
Very good just on the pricey side and occasionally can get a noisy room.
The bed was huge and comfortable and the aircon was fantastic. The bathroom was clean. The location was excellent. At breakfast the sausages were delicious.
The armchair in the bedroom ( room 102) was stained and dirty, there were not enough hooks or rails in the bathroom to hang towels to dry and for the price of a £200 / night ( we stayed 3 nights in mid August) , it would have been nice to have complimentary water. The breakfast was really not up to standard. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and over cooked, the hashbrowns were soggy, the mushrooms were bland, the pastry were all dry and stale, the poached eggs were all over cooked and rubbery when served on top of the avocado mash with some of the water in which they had been kept. A plate of pancakes had to be returned as they were solid. The staff seemed harassed and unhappy, though trying to be helpful. It felt very pricey for the quality of food and service. It almost feels like they have a captive market of regulars booking to stay so they don't have to try very hard. Disappointing.
Beautifully decorated, great location, lovely staff.
No lift was a little inconvenient as was carrying heavy items to the second floor. Breakfast was great but buffet bacon was a bit rubbery, could have done with being a bit crispier around the edges. Seemed like it was cooked the microwave. Minor issue though
Excellent hotel lively staff and really vomfy bed
Its location.
I am not a fan of showers over a bath. Walk in showers should be the standard as they are easier to use and, in some cases, safer.
I went to the Bush Hotel Reception to purchase a gift voucher for a Cream Tea with Champagne. I was served by what appeared to be the supervisor with a trainee. I asked to buy two vouchers. My intention to support a local Farham business. First of all I was asked if I could come back at another time! Then I was told Cream Tea Vouchers were no longer available. I had purchased one previously a matter of three weeks ago. Eventually the correct info was found, but I was told the Champagne option was no longer available. I pointed out it was just a few weeks ago! It was then suggested that the people for whom the voucher was being purchased could buy a glass of Champagne when they came for afternoon tea! Not exactly the gift intended! Beaten by incompetence I left and purchased what I needed from the Aviator in Farnborough with a smile!
Lovely ambience. Conveniently located in the middle of town- but with the feel of being on a country estate. All the modern conveniences- without losing the nostalgic charm and history of a rich past.
There was nothing to dislike The entire property and all staff were most professional, beautifully presented and a credit to the township of Farnham.
Airconditioned rooms and comfortable beds
Had one electric charger in carpark and non electric cars were parked in the space
Great location! Wonderful staff and amazing latte !
I liked having a fridge in the room. The supermarket being just across the street is very convenient. The breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. There were two occasions i needed a taxi. The reception desk staff were excellent. The train station is just an easy walk from the hotel. I needed a good location to take the train into London and elsewhere.
I happened to be here when there was a lot of roadwork going on in Farnham and it made it difficult to be picked up by car. Just a temporary inconvenience.
The location was amazing, a/c was very welcomed and lots of parking available. Lovely staff too.
Pillows weren’t very nice.
Paying to park my Motorbike
Stayed here 2/08/26 as attending a wedding locally. Lovely hotel, very clean . Great location and very good value for money as huge breakfast included. Would highly recommend.
Lovely small old hotel, great central location. Excellent breakfast
Beautiful hotel with a lovely garden where you can have a drink. The room was spacious and clean and the staff super nice. Short walk from the station and next to the shops and pubs.
The only note is that our room has the window exactly on the parking lot so we had to keep the curtains closed for the whole time.
It was beautiful, well maintained & spotlessly clean.
The bed was slightly too hard for me but obviously that’s preference & most of our group were happy with thier beds.
Can’t fault anything, great location, great staff, really clean and maintained

Air conditioning! It was very hot. Pet friendly. Excellent location in the centre of town. Parking. Beautiful grounds and terrace.
Nothing.
cour intérieure et hotel historique
Room was spacious and with reasonable equipment level. AC was decent enough for a hot summer's evening. Grounds are beautiful I grabbed a coffee from the breakfast area. Staff were fine allowing me that despite not booking breakfast
I don't really have anything I didn't like. Perhaps the internet was occasionally falling out, but I could run meetings and stream webinars so it served me well when I really needed it.
Lovely big bed and helpful and friendly staff central location as was able to get my nails done before done next door before the wedding we were going to.
Took a while to work out room had working air conditioning and a fridge as these had both been turned off completely . Sorted for 2nd night :)
Good location Receptionist was lovely.
The property is not as nice as the photos suggest. The shower over bath has no water pressure you can hardly use it.this is common in the UK but this was very bad. I’d recommend avoiding the restaurant it’s terrible, we had the fish and chips and they were disgusting.
The hotel itself is beautiful with lovely grounds and great staff
The room smelt slightly damp (although I know some of the building is old) and the room had a slightly dated feel
Modern, clean room, good food, awesome location but the best bit is the staff - everyone was so incredibly friendly, helpful, polite and attentive.
Lovely setting, plenty of parking and a central location
Location and nice rooms

Lovely hotel. Well maintained. Beautiful gardens and courtyard. Right in town.
Staff were excellent. Very polite and efficient. However, they appeared to be in short supply, particularly in the bar and eating areas. They were run ragged and worked very hard to keep up with the demand, especially on the Saturday when there was a wedding plus hotel guests.
Great location, wonderful old building and the gardens were a delight to rest in with the hot weather
Very very hot water in rooms Limited parking
Beautiful grounds and accommodation
Na
Good location, excellent breakfast
What a lovely hotel, it has fantastic character, very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly as well.
It was the perfect location for us to attend a family wedding close by. The staff are absolutely brilliant and efficient 👍
My only minor gripe, and it is only minor, and could just be because l live on the North East coast, from our stay was that the mushy peas with my fish and chip evening meal were more of a dried version. Rest of the meal prefect, as were my wife's and daughters. And that's me being really picky.
Good location
Nothing!
We had comfortable rooms with a small patio looking out onto the private grounds. The delicious breakfast was served efficiently in a large room. The servers were pleasant. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but chose to eat at Tavola di Famiglia (a few doors away) and Caffe Piccolo (a couple of blocks away). Both were good. The hotel has parking. The hotel charges 5GBP/night which is cheaper than the public parking. Farnham is a pretty town. We chose it because it is about an hour drive to the Heathrow Airport.
I think the parking should have been included. We were already paying enough for the room (comparing to the other 7 places we stayed on our holiday).
Quietness and cleaniness.
Parking facility.
Der Ausgang zum Garten. Parking perfekt, kostet 5 Pfund/Nacht. Frühstück war ok. Der Garten ist sehr schön. Das Zimmer hat eine Klimaanlage, bei der Hitze von Vorteil. Der Ort ist zauberhaft. Hund kostet 20Pfund/Nacht.
The staff were absolutely excellent - could not do enough for us especially at breakfast. Beautiful hotel
The only little gripe we had was that we needed some shelving in the bathroom to put our toiletries on
A solid hotel overall , clean room , good ac
The food was average at best, service was a bit slow
We held our group meeting at the Bush with 12 of our delegates staying for 2 nights. The event was run perfectly having been superbly organised by Carol Hutton the Bush Marketing and Sales Manager. On the day the manager and all the hotel team were brilliant. Thank you.
It was well appointed and had all the amenities required
It was located in a very comfortable
Lovely heritage property feel. Very helpful and warm staff. Good food and lovely garden restaurant… also great location. It’s in the heart of Farnham with shops and cafe right outside the hotel
The price was high compared to what the property offers. Facilities are limited to bar and restaurant
Room looked over the courtyard. WE had a charity dinner at the hotel excellent all went smoothly. Breakfast was continental but good. I personally prefer a full English when staying away.
All good. welcomed arrival at the desk. settled in. went down for cream tea. The evening charity for Phyllis Tuckwell hospice went really well and raised money for the new Hospice.
Location
Photos were misleading. Breakfast was awful but most of all I requested a bath and didn’t get one.
The garden
Kitchen closed. Microwave bar food. Ordered 2 meals ; turned up with one. Ran out of the other but didn't inform immediately so colleague ate alone. Offered another. Was full of cloves and cardamon pods ... I guess to make it look less processed. Couldn't say as every mouthful within the soupy meal contained cloves. Room had bright spa lights glaring through windows after dark inspite of blackout curtains. Bar staff clueless ... but polite. Common areas very comfortable. Room old-fashioned, tired, sub-standard and seen better days. Would I stay here again ... no. Front desk was helpful.
Everything was fantastic
Nothing.
Great location and nice public areas. Lovely breakfast and helpful staff
Can’t think of anything
central location and nice garden
I couldn’t get the lockbox in the room to witk
Clean large room and the AC worked which was a bonus given the heatwave. The only issue was there wasnt a table and chair to do work.
Beautiful property - better than we thought it would be ! Local townships and really lovely decorated
It was all amazing
Sehr gerne wieder!
Great location . Friendly staff . Hotel had a good vibe ,very relaxed
Nothing
Beautiful setting, room level with the grounds and doors to the garden which was nice having had a small dog with us, early breakfast available, smiley and welcoming staff, comfortable room and beds, ample parking, great location for visiting the town...
There was a wedding going on and understandably the guests were celebrating until late into the night which made it a bit difficult to sleep....
Room was spacious, the bathroom was spacious and clean and well maintained daily. Staff were very polite. The location of Bush hotel is excellent. It is a very comforting environment and the bar area is great to entertain guests and to relax. Sitting out on the patio for hours is delightful.
Could not figure out how to set the AC. Also, I was put in the furthest room on the 3rd floor. I was at the hotel very early and dont understand why that occurred. I was very annoyed, as it requried a lot of unnecessary walking and stair climbing. Being 76 year old senior, that should have been something that the desk staff should have recognized and automatically provided the necessary adjustments instead of following some strict assignment protocol.
Everything, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, great location!! (The best!)
Nothing. (I didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food.)
Rooms were old. Nice location and staff. Atmosphere was pleasant. Value is decent.
Beautiful stay all the staff were extremely polite a very pleasant stay
The central location was excellent, walking distance to town, great to have ample parking. Loved the garden with the beautiful trees and lavender lined paths. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Someone banged against my room door on the first night at about 12:30 in the morning, no idea why but it woke me and scared me. The room I was in was right next to the stairs so was noisy as people were passing through and generally there was a lot of background noise from people in other rooms running taps, the pipes/heating etc. The shower wasn't very clean, and the sanitary envelope dispenser was empty and dusty. The room images on Booking.com showed pod coffee capsules as if these were made available to guests when actually only bog standard Nescafe sachets were available which does not fit with the image, price or target audience of this kind of hotel. I didn't try the cooked breakfast till the second day, the hash browns, sausage and mushroom were great, however, the scrambled eggs were cold lumps and the bacon was almost impossible to cut. I had to tighten the door handle up on the wardrobe and the internal mirror on the door was a bit too low. The wardrobe hanging rail was also a bit high making it hard to put hangers on it. There were also bits in the bed like foliage from the trees had blown in when I first arrived.
An beautiful building. We loved the mix of old and new. Both room and communal areas were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional and we enjoyed the good quality of the breakfast.
No complaints
Very central location in Farnham with car park. Large lawn to sit out and have a drink. There was a wedding at the time we were there and there was live music so a lovely atmosphere. However as wedding celebrations are in a room separate from the hotel we didn't experience any disturbance in the late evening. The bed was comfortable and the room large enough looking down onto the lawn. However the shower room was quite small and I kept knocking my arm on the sink while on the loo. There were also a few hairs behind the door which were not ours. So when the shower room is cleaned the cleaner needs to go in and shut the door and clean behind.
Central location in town center. The courtyard was lovely.
