Very convenint for the North Terminal as easy to walk to from the hotel. Very comfy queen bed and clean, good size, room. Big TV. Room service pizza was really good. Toiletries provided. Quiet with good sound proofing. Staff very polite and attentive. I would stay again.

The shower was very disappointing: there was no door and the water was running also to the wrong, doorless side and out to the bathroom floor, forcing you to turn off the water frequently to avoid flooding. Very annoying

The rooms were good the disappointment was re the restaurants - we had to wait over an hour for a table

More seating in the restaurants. Also the restaurant we went to - the food was fine but the lighting and tables made it feel like a cafeteria

its right on the airport entrance. staff was great. breakfast was great and early and fast. just what i needed for travelling with peace of mind.

Breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice. Tea or coffee served at the table so no horrible drink machines! Bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have an armchair in the room to watch tv. An ironing board and iron in the room.

The air conditioning was noisy so impossible to have it on while sleeping. The kettle and courtesy tray are right next to the wardrobe space. No coat hook.

Location and overall quality was excellent and perfect foir the purpose of staying one night. The restaurants are good as well.

Couldn’t fault anything during our stay

Very conveniently located close to the airport, only few minutes walk, room comfortable and Had everything we needed, even more as we got an upgrade to a suite with a view of a runway and complimentary drinks in the mini bar! It was a lovely and very appreciated surprise Shame we only stayed one night! We will be definitely using the hotel again

Confusing restaurant bill at the end. Why can't they charge the whole thing to the room as hotels did in the past, or not allow restaurant and bar charges to the rooms at all. The split bill which was presented in a confusing way was not a good experience. We stayed a many lovely hotels in England this trip and it was a first experience of this kind. Dissapointing!

Lack of seating at the terrace and was refused service if not sitting in the terrace area, though sitting in the sests near reception. Also took a long time to get served in Vivre due to lack of staff, the staff that were working were excellent.

Just easy from the airport en route

Such a convenient and comfortable Hotel the bed was lovely. The only drawback was there were no handles in the bathroom to get out of quite a high top bath for my 77-year-old mother which would’ve been a bonus getting out of a shower onto a slippery floor..

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. We had a mattress topper on top it was so lumpy it was awful. We usually stay at premier inn next door but thought we would upgrade. Very disappointed

The room was a good size and very comfortable

Bed was really comfortable, soft and lovely soft pillows. Shower was brilliant. These are 2 areas where hotels usually fall down. Staff were friendly and hotel was lovely.

Room was too cold and we couldnt increase the temperature, so we turned the controller off. The room never warmed up as it had started off too cold. Also were werent made aware at checked in that we needed to use our card to select the floor number in the lift. We were up and down a few times automatically when other guests called the lift. We worked it out in the end but as it was our first visit we didnt know.

Everything was good. The only problem was our friend having to pay the airport charge to drop us at the hotel but that is no doubt outside the control of the hotel.

My bedroom had a wonderful view. The room was very clean and the crew was very very kind,polite, helpful and smile.

Great location and easy to get to from either north or south terminal. Extremely comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast and a great atmosphere.

We arrived just after midnight as our flight had been delayed by 19 hours, the receptionist was really welcoming and gave us a fantastic room and included breakfast.

Amazing beds, obviously a very convenient location, friendly staff, super clean, fabulous toiletries! Already booked to return and will continue to do so.

It’s the style of the brand but I miss colour! Grey, black, grey, I find it all a bit dull. But many would say it’s chic, it’s just personal choice. Everything is expensive too but it’s a Sofitel!

4 adults in family room which actually was 2 rooms with adjoining door, plus sofa bed made up. Amazing space.

The perfect hotel in the North terminal at Gatwick airport when you have a morning flight. The beds are like sleeping on clouds.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. We only stayed one night before our onward flight home. We had a very good ‘fish and chips’ at the snack bar with pleasant and friendly staff.

Well the lighting in the room wasn’t very good but I guess chasing ‘net zero’ is the cause. When we have to stay over again we would definitely use hotel again.

The room was very dark for getting hair and makeup done. Huge TV but no mirror over desk. Usua hotel error..... Matress toppers were so thick it was hot and uncomfortable Lots of aircraft noise

The in-house restaurant ‘Vivre’ was very poor. Staff barely engaged with guests and was quite slow. The bream dish was adequate.The burger was appalling, meat as dense as an ice hockey puck, cold bun no sauces offered

The location was superb, making checking in for a morning flight very easy. It was raining hard so being completely undercover getting from our hotel room to the departures floor was fabulous. The room was great - very comfortable bed, space for our luggage, and a view of the airport!
