We liked the family room, the bed was comfy and the pool and gym were great. Almost all staff members were helpful.

The babycot was so hard the carpet underneath was more comfortable. The breakfast was not warm.

I travelled for work. Unfortunately the reception would not issue a proper tax invoice. Even after contacting them multiple times via booking.com I did not receive any feedback! Very bad service and not recommended for business.

This place works. It's clean, the staff are enthusiastic and kind. The health spa /pool is great. Food is great. Can't knock it.

This place is so nice and I'd highly recommend to families. Especially with the pool and great food setup. So they are missing a trick by not topping up what they offer to families. Put a kids corner in, with a few board games , a console and some crayons and they will have nailed it.

I was a late check in, but even late at night the staff were warm and friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

Shower could have done with a bit more oomph, but perfectly adequate as is.

For a 4 star hotel to have the noise levels this place had baffled me. Constant banging and footsteps throughout the night WITH EARPLUGS IN. £165 for one night, no sleep, no thanks.

All yhe staff were excellent.

No fridge, no safe, hairdryer didn't work, sink plug had to held up to drain sink. Paid for halfboard but still had to sign for the cost of the meal which was later deducted from the final bill. Had to put 50 pound deposit down incase of damage to the room( not on your site) still waiting for this back.

Booked a twin room but given a double. Reception staff had no record of my booking when I arrived, even though my friend had already checked in. No fridge in the room. Only one tea bag. Shower gel/hand was smelled of parsley. No bath mat for the flor in the bathroom so floor was very slippy. Tiny nitpicky things I know, but added together it was a shame.

Swimming pool was booked up so we couldn’t use it, this was the main reason we booked and there was no indication we’d need to call ahead to book. Room was a bit tired and sofa bed for kids was really uncomfortable. Lift noise was very noisy all night.

The restaurant needs improvement. For our evening meal, one meal was brought out and the other person's had been forgotten. They did offer a free glass of wine and the staff were pleasant but it wasn't what we were expecting. Breakfast had a good selection, but the buffet food was only warm not hot which was a shame.

The bed wasnt what was sold/advertised it was supposed to be a super king but the bed was two singles put together. There was holes in the carpet. Room was run down.

Breakfast was excellent. Size of the room for a family of 4 was ok. Comfortable bed. Would be better if the room come with a mini fridge.

Used it as airport hotel for Heathrow as travelling north late on. So good location for that, great breakfast, really good, pool/spa, nice bar, had supper at 10pm. Staff were super helpful, really were. Bettered my expectations. Very easy to park, loads of spaces but log your reg.

Bar food wasn't cheap or brilliant but I ate it all and at 10 pm I think its was more than ok.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was great throughout our stay. The food was also very good. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would happily stay here again.

We booked the hotel due to its proximity to Warner Bros studios (20 mins away). We weren’t expecting much as have had mixed experiences with Holiday Inn previously, but we weren’t expecting much very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and well-presented. The pool is great, albeit small - great for entertainment children for an hour. The rooms are small, but fine for an overnight stay, although the shower in our room was more like a trickle. Food in the restaurant was nice, and breakfast was ideal, with plenty of choice and variety. We sat in the conservatory area for breakfast, which was very pleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Not much. We had an excellent stay. Although the hotel seemed slightly short-staffed at breakfast, so there were no spoons or pastries, tables were not cleared promptly and some dirty plates, bowls and cutlery were building up

Derek and the other staff were warm and welcoming. Derek made our children feel safe as he tapped into their interest in Harry Potter. The receptionists made me feel welcomed.

The rooms were simply too hot to sleep comfortably in. The air conditioning was working efficiently enough to cool the room and the bedding was far too hot. Opening the window meant being disturbed by the horrendous noise outside.

Zimmer waren zweckmässig eingerichtet und haben alles geboten, was man rein zum übernachten braucht. Toller großer Fernseher mit Möglichkeit das Smartphone zu streamen, wenn man mal "nichtenglisch" was schauen wollte. Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, reichhaltig und in einer wirklich tollen Atmosphäre (Tagheller Wintergarten) - stets ausreichende Plätze und ein sehr motiviertes und freundliches Personal. Hotellobby sehr einladend und ansprechend gestaltet. Toll war auch die kostenlose Nutzung des hoteleigenen Pools - vor allem wenn man in der Früh einige Bahnen schwimmen wollte. Obwohl das Hotel sehr verkehrsgünstig direkt an der Hauptstraße liegt, bekam man vom Verkehrslärm kaum bis gar nichts mit, weil zwischen Straße und Hotel ein kleiner Wald liegt.

Parken kostet pro Tag 7 Pfund - auch für Hotelgäste; es sind zwar ausreichende Parkplätze da (Pluspunkt!), aber schön wäre es, wenn es zumindest bei gewisser Mindestnächtigungszahl kostenfrei wäre. Ansonsten alles tiptop!

The staff were very good and room was clean. As my husband felt ill unfortunately we could only stay 1 day out of 2 and the hotel refused to pay for the room we vacated although asked by Booking. Com. As breakfast was not included they did however give us 2 complimentary breakfasts

No accessible bathrooms were available with a twin room.

Personnel sympathique mais nous avons eu un souci sur un lit non fait à notre arrivé : lorsque nous l’avons fait remarquer, les draps ont juste été déposés dans notre chambre, le lit n’a pas été fait.

The staff were absolutely outstanding, they really made the experience next level.

Fantastic welcome,clean and tidy. Front desk team welcomed us and as it was our son’s 9th birthday,they made a big fuss and even made the effort of getting him a birthday card with balloons in the room!

Everything was great.

The hotel is very modern, spacious, clean and isn’t stuffy. The staff were exceptional, friendly, welcoming and could not have been more helpful. Absolutely recommend it, also a perfect location for Warner Bros Studio.

The beds were ok, but the cleanliness of the room and bathroom made up for it. The lighting in the room is all or nothing, but that again is a very minor point. These really are insignificant points as the whole experience far out weights these minor faults.

Great hotel for a family visiting Harry Potter Studios. Lovely pool and it was a bonus that kids eat free.

Compared to my normal Premier Inn stays, this was a poor second. Dirty toilet, dirty bath plug area, pathetic low power shower, faulty bedside USB socket, no USB C sockets. VERY noisy generally, with running water, flushing toilets and slamming doors heard all evening. The doors in the corridor seem to slam rather than close quietly. The bed was smaller and not as comfortable as a standard Premier Inn bed. The room seemed in need of a makeover, two bedside switches did nothing, and were apparently not connected to anything. To turn off the ceiling light you need to get out of bed and go to the door. For a cheaper price Premier Inn do a Plus room with proper pod coffee maker, fridge with water and chocolate. This was generally underwhelming, although the reception area looks upmarket, clean, fresh and welcoming.

Grandsons loved a visit to the pool, especially as it was such a hot day.

Four of us in a room (2 x adults and 2 x children). Only 2 tea bags left each day, and 3 milk sachets. Only two bath towels left on the second morning.

We booked our stay as a Holiday Extras package for the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. The hotel is older, but I do love it when hotel rooms still have baths! Older but very nicely decorated and great communal spaces too. It’s a great location from the motorway and WB Studios. The service has made the difference too. On our second night after a day at WB Studios and London exploring we came back to the hotel for dinner. The food was really great but the service we received from Abiola was absolutely exceptional.

We stayed here a few nights to visit London and the Warner Bros. Studios, and we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a bit of an undertaking, but London is easily accessible from here by public transport, and that is a nice experience too. The studios are a fifteen-minute drive away. Our stay here was wonderful! The rooms were sufficiently clean and spacious for a short stay, the breakfast delicious and well-presented, the restaurant with the conservatory beautiful, and the dinner, which is served until late and where the children eat for free from the kids' menu, was delightful! The staff were friendly and helpful. And in particular Derek (!!), whom we had the pleasure of meeting several times during our stay, and who had a kind word and a joke for everyone. He seemed to have stepped right out of one of the Harry Potter stories with his friendly, warm demeanor, Sorting Hat, and wand! He contributed greatly to our experience but was above all a very warm and friendly man with a great sense of humor. We would undoubtedly stay here again on a future visit to this area!

Booked this hotel as a stopover to harry potter studios. Ideally located, easy to get to. The food was really good and Derek made the breakfast more enjoyable. Great location just off the M1. Super friendly welcome thank you Nellie;8 if fact everyone we dealt with was friendly and welcoming. Everything was calm and peaceful in the hotel and we all enjoyed a good comfortable sleep. Excellent choice at breakfast and Mario made pancakes especially for the children. We were to spend the day at Harry Potter studios and Derek started our day off in grand style with his chat and “sorting hat” experience. Thank you everyone for making our overnight so happy and memorable.

Great stay on a coach trip to ABBA Voyage. Rooms lovely. Bar area really nice. Only criticisms - there was only 1 coffee machine working both breakfasts for a coach load on time restraints. The machine took ages to make one coffee so the long queue never went down! Had to cut breakfast short both days and go without. Breakfast food on day 1 could have been hotter and more readily available. Day 2 chef was much better. Also ran out of enough desserts on both nights for the coach load. Derek in the restaurant gave amazing service 😊. It was a pleasure to meet him and a credit to your team.

Swimming pool was a little overcrowded for the first 10 minutes of our slot, and was a little on the chilly side. Family room was a bit cramped for the price and the sofa bed not the most comfortable. Fine for 1 night though.

Went as a solo trip first time with no kids is 13 years, staff wonderfully nothing they couldn't do for you. A gentleman in the food area called Derek was lovely giving all the kids a little Harry potter treat wont spoil and say what he was very friendly and a lovely person to have a chat with and have a laugh with. Rooms perfect and so clean the bed for me was a little hard but thats my personal preference. Very spacious, decorated lovely. Could not hear any nosie once in room. The pool area was lovely the pool was out of action on my visit but the other items was lovely staff very well informed also. I came for the harry potter Warner brother studio and location was brilliant. I believe this place is defo value for money.

What a lovely hotel. Clean, modern and such nice and friendly staff. Got to say a big thank you to Derek, one of the waiting staff. So nice to get someone who likes to have a chat and give you lots of info about the hotel and things to do. Very friendly guy with a big heart and love that he wants to make sure you have everything you need to make your meal and stay just perfect. The food in the buffet (we were part of a coach trip) was simple stuff but all very nice on both nights and the breakfast was lovely too. Didn’t manage to get any chocolate cake the first night because everyone else must have loved it a bit too much 🤔 but I managed to get profiteroles for dessert the second night and they were lovely light, creamy little pockets of deliciousness. Would love to stay here again if I do another coach trip as it was all so nice.

We were coming for a family wedding do in town. The hotel was a perfect location being 8 minutes away and only 7 pound in a taxi. The food was lovely. The pool and jacuzzi an added bonus. Bedrooms were roomy clean bright comfortable and had AC We will definitely be back. Nellie on reception is so lovely x

I stayed here during one of the summer heatwaves and appreciated the effective aircon throughout, esp the room. I booked the room with fridge, like many hotel fridges it wasnt really cold. Room quite spacious. Clean. Lots of parking for a fee. Helpful reception staff. Useful having a small M&S at the adjacent petrol station.

I stay at the Holiday inn Hemel frequently and whilst all the staff are incredibly helpful there's one man that really stands out. Derek in the breakfast hall is always full of life. He always asks about your stay and your day and always goes out of his way to help in any way he can. He is a credit to the establishment.
