Lov the hotel, great service very clean
Nothing all was great👍
Near motorway
Bed was tiny and uncomfortable, room was soulless, noisy with children running around corridors late at night . Male bar staff served us drinks at the bar wearing purple gloves disposable I think he had just left the kitchen. Goodness knows what he had been handling
Comfortable night in comfortable surroundings. Would stay again
There was nothing to like as when we arrived (we'd just got married and it was 6pm) we were told there was no room available for our 4 night stay as the hotel had double booked our room
We arrived at 6pm to book in, we'd just got married and was looking forward to our 4 night stay for a relaxing honeymoon as the facilities boasted a pool and spa etc. We were devastated to learn our room had been double booked and were told nothing was available for us, that was it. The weather outside was awful absolutely bucketing it down and yes we were turned away. There was no compensation or any compassion for us it was literally goodbye and find somewhere else.
Handy for everything
Pool had kids in it most of Saturday and couldn’t get into pool
The receptionists were friendly.
Unfortunately, the room was very basic and felt quite dated for the price we paid. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the cleanliness was disappointing, there was even hair stuck to the ceiling of the shower. Breakfast wasn’t included, which I found particularly disappointing given the overall price of the stay. The room itself felt very dated, including the TV, which didn’t have any smart features. Even the kettle felt very cheap and flimsy. Overall, everything was the most basic option and the room really needs updating. For the price, I expected a much higher standard of comfort, cleanliness and facilities.
Large room and comfortable beds.
We were checked in by a stressed receptionist. He got better as the check-in progressed but was quite unwelcoming at first. Our room was at the front and a coach party woke us up quite early and the coach was idling outside the front . The breakfast was severely lacking. We got down at 8:30am and many items missing / cereal and toast station in disarray. For the price we paid, it wasn’t up to standard. Will go to Premier Inn next time.
Relaxing hotel, bar area nice, good dog walk, breakfast good
Middle of no where .
Easy to get to from the M6. Easy to get to the city by foot, bus or bike. Lovely river walk. Not far from a Maccy's for early or late munchies. Plenty of parking space. Would stay again.
The door alarm kept going off in room 131 we had to slam the door shut to get it to stay off
Modern
Booked a twin room was given a standard double bed hardly got any sleep due to having to sleep on the sofa
Staff were really helpful and friendly
Clean, good location
We had 2 rooms next to each other, the rooms were nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. The food on the menu we had was good. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice. The check in guy Harry was really lovely and helpful. A good stay, would come back.
Nothing really, a good stay.
Location
Looks like hotel is not doing well. Restaurant had very limited food Swimming Pool was partially open due to staff shortage Towels were not available in the swimming pool
Location
Slightly tatty, needs some maintenance.
One overnight stay, simple check in
Easy check in and out after one late night arrival
Free parking in a good location close to Lancaster centre. Nice clean room and comfy beds. The leisure centre was busy but the pool and sauna were really good. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in the room and a fridge.
I thought we booked a double but it was two twins pushed together with a gap that widened if we leaned into it as the beds were on wheels. A minor thing as the beds were really comfy. Quite expensive for what it was overall.
Clean and comfortable
Nothing negative
Great value, clean, rooms were a bit tired looking
Breakfast staff were good.
Unloved, outside bins overflowing constantly (do staff/management not notice on their way into work). Had issues with an unruly couple of tramps next door (room 360) screaming and shouting from 2am-4am,l with zero consideration of others, phoned down to reception and nobody answered. Had to try to deal with the issue ourselves, police were called, came into our room at 4am to check the locks to see how they could break into their room easily. My two children were scared. Got very little sleep as a result. Zero compassion from the manager the following morning. Grim.
The staff were amazing the room perfect and lovely and big
The room was large
Location and comfort
One night stay enroute to Scottish Highlands. Located 1 minute off motorway. Huge room to host 4 Adults and our little dog. Clean and well equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Check in easy and friendly staff. Only used the bar. We walked along the river and found a lovely pub to eat in. Mcdonalds is also a short walk away.
everything
Good choice of breakfast items. Staff helpful and friendly. Easy parking and bus stops were very near. Good shower and good supply of hot water.
There were no drawers for clothing, not enough hooks for towels etc apart from coat hangers.
It was a good location Clean hotel room friendly reception staff It was a nice hotel Breakfast was good value for money Bed was comfortable
Our hotel room could have done with upgrading it looked rather tired Whilst breakfast was good value for money the staff had to be asked for more tea spoons etc but the biggest revelation was I wanted butter for my toast and had to ask for it . I was told that the chef like to hide the butter why I never established. I presume people stole it which to me seemed rather bizarre because if you paid for breakfast it shouldn’t matter how much butter you had
The location was 10/10 for our trip to Scotland. Straight back on M6 in 1 minute. It was clean, the staff so friendly with excellent customer service. The room for was plenty big enough for four adults and a small dog. Which was supplied with lots of tea, coffee and biscuits and toiletries. We had a drink in the bar, however walked our dog along the river and found a local pub to eat in so can't comment on food.
There was nothing to complain about at all.
Location. Nothing else
Dirty. Had to request new room.... Obviously not vaccumed. Bed not made properly, had to strip bed and make myself. Was missing bedding for the sofa bed and was handed a pile of unironed bedding n told to make my own bed up! Was missing a bath towel and got handed a hand towel and asked if I could get dried on that! No bath towel given... The reception manager looks like hes given up on life...just doesnt care whatsoever!.....burger and chips £20 was utter junk don't buy food here ...lampshades hanging off, 70's deco....Diabolical place. Good for location nothing else.
It’s close to the motorway Nice toiletries
Having a dog on 2nd floor Would have been easier on the ground No bottled water in the rooms
It was in a good location. Airy
It needed up dating . They ran out of food items for breakfast and lunch, on on Friday & Saturday evening and ran out of items for breakfast on Sunday ., not acceptable
Big car park, nice staff on reception, clean room, nice bath, hair dryer and iron to use, access to pool x
Na
Easy location with plenty of parking
Coffee pod machine but no pods. Crummy pillows. Very basic in room facilities
Close to the motorway, parking available and included in the price, use of the pool and spa area, the room was clean and the master bed comfortable. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
The room had the bare essentials but there was little to make us feel pampered. Our girls complained that they could feel the springs in the sofa bed mattress (they don’t usually complain about beds). We had to repeatedly ask for items to be restocked during breakfast. The changing rooms in the spa area were cold, showers did not have wash gel, broken toilet seats, broken shower gel holders…
They gave us a room with a sofa bed that wasn't prepared when we arrived late with our two young children, they put us in another room, but that hadn't been cleaned properly. Third time was the charm! It was not great having to carry our kids, and haul our luggage and dog up and down the hallway, and going back to reception about the room.
Very good.
Tv in the room did not work!Good stopover for families on way to and from Scotland.
Very understanding and helpful staff. Overall a good Holiday Inn
Add a request for a cot bed and the sofa bed was made up. They did correct the issue by being up a cot bed but I had to put away the sofa bed still. Restaurant was a bit pricey
The location
There was no ice bucket or laundry bag
Location was good for what we needed and tight off the motorway. Breakfast had a good choice and availability. However breakfast area is very busy. 1 staff member was great and very helpful some of the younger staff members spent more time just standing at the reception point chatting and having an iced coffee
The younger staff at breakfast could have been more involved in clearing tables and seating people
Good location, easy to go anywhere, big room
The breakfast room was a little messy, not enough staffs to tidy up
We enjoyed the pool. It was nice to have a swim in the morning before breakfast. The bar area/lounge was comfortable with comfy seating and games for the children. We also enjoyed the picnic tables and play area outside.
The jacuzzi wasn’t working. Also, when booking, it looked like breakfast was included, but when I received the booking confirmation it said we would need to pay an additional 16.95 per person for breakfast! So we took o ur family out for breakfast.
Good food. Coffee machines difficult to use.
Staff did not always seem aware of procedures but were unfailingly helpful and willing.
Restaurant, breakfast could improve. It would give more value to your hotel.
Room.goid size good location used the hotel for our pick up point for our cruise
The fact that I phoned and asked about leaving my car there for the week and how much it would cost but never got a reply from the person who was checking this out for me 😭
Room was ok , usual standard room , food on the other hand was disgusting , ordered fish and chips , fish was so thin , all batter , chips ok , breakfast was cold , not warm at all , partner had hash browns still frozen in the middle , absolutely disgusting , this is no way to serve food if you could call it food.
We arrived late, and so were in much need of our beds, the receptionist was lovely. Breakfast was good.
We didn’t have enough bedding in the family room. The receptionist sorted it but at 1 am it was a farce. Expensive, lacking in quality.
It’s at a good location so travelling was convenient.
Breakfast. Very limited options in general. Disappointing!
The bed and my room
Lack of food. Couldn't get a meal in the evening for the lack of food. Then at breakfast I think the chef was sleeping. After putting bacon, fried bread and black pudding on my plate realised there was no eggs. Asked a young man. He came back and said that was chef just away to cook them. I took beans. Wasn't waiting . When they did come out with some they were gone in a minute. There was no cooked tomatoes or mushrooms, hash browns . Only one kind of sausage. Honestly very poor
Staff were so helpful and pleased to help. on arrival the room smelt a bit and they went out of their way to change it.
Good location. One room was nice
We booked two rooms the same and paid the same price for each. Two King rooms. The second room was not a king was not clean and when we complained did nothing about it.
Staff very attentive ,clean rooms and perfect breakfast
Coffee machines were out of action and hot water for tea or coffee was empty
Disappointed. Always used IHG Hotels. This was a 2 night stop off for the lakes on the way to Scotland. Staff are rude and uninterested. Hotel restaurant ok, but barely an hello or thank you. Lift really dirty (dust and cobwebs in the corners). Room service got our order wrong after taking multiple calls to answer. No apology. Then pool closed on the last day at 2pm. Staff illness. Chose IHG over cheaper alternatives because of the pool. Pool facilities also dirty and in need of TLC, as was the room. Eg door chain broken, do not disturb sign ripped. A shame.
Good standard of comfort and cleanliness.
(i) The basin plug failed to retain the water in it. (ii) Having a bath was impossible, because the soap was SCREWED IN right of reach. (Why do you have to do that?)
The pool and breakfast. Liked the walk along the river next to the hotel.
Nothing, all good.
Did NOT get the room we booked so stay was. STRUGGLE. we booked a disabled room with access and room given had a shower in a bath! Room given was a struggle but needed to accept as we needed to get to a wedding
give us what we had booked. Given us a refund
Air conditioning, near the town and motorway.
Beer garden benches need replacing. Falling to bits and not particularly comfortable. Nothing else .
Good location
N/A
Pleasant relaxed and just off the motorway.
Our first stay in IHG hotel. We booked a family room with 2 double size bed. They allowed our family dog and we were offered a good room.
Room was large and bed very comfortable
Sole female traveller and felt uncomfortable that it had a partition door in room! Breakfast was very poor, no choice of fruit and everything was empty
Staff at reception gave us the key was very nice and kind and it was a good location
The bathroom was horrible and dirty yellow the bed was hard as rock the food that we ordered supposed to feed for two people. It was like a snack for onion rings and a little bowl of salad. That’s all they had and then for breakfast it was bloody disgusting. I wouldn’t even feed it to the dogs. There was kids standing around doing bugger Roll and the place had half off breakfast there some of it was missing the mushrooms the eggs the sausages the bacon was a bit hardest rock like it was cooped in one side. The bread was stiff. No thank you. I wouldn’t have any breakfast there again. I’ll bring me own and the cost of staying there £317 for one night is disgusted because there was something bloody on I was angry for the payment we paid. I think I should get a half a refund for that and I’m not joking. Either. My sister was disgusted with it. We thought we had food poisoning the next day, because she was taking ill and gone to hospital anyway for the cost of that Hotel I won’t be staying there again. I’d like half of my refund back and I did tell the manager and she said she’ll put a complaint in I bet she didn’t.
TH eroom was very spacious and clean. It has all amenities except for a fridge. Breakfas was very generous of choices
THe toilet next to restaurant could have been cleaner
Excellent staff.Lovely fitness centre. Very good breakfast. Outdoor seating. Very clean room and excellent facilities.
Great location, plenty parking.
Proximity to motorway
Tired decor in room and not as clean as expected
clean and comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Parking.
Room service had to be ordered from the Bar - no make up mirror in bathroom. No toiletries excecept soap.
Disappointing stay. Did not live up to expectations. I felt the property looked a bit run down. Not all areas were clean and it needed some maintenance in places. The breakfast was good though.
Small uncomfortable bed. Terrible pillows. Our room wasn't cleaned two days in a row. They barely made the bed.
We love it
Handy for a coach pickup, close to M6. Comfortable beds staff pleasant and helpful
The staff were friendly and accommodating
It was very old and tired. It needs complete renovation
Rooms and facilities
We had breakfast at 915 and things like the pancakes , pasties had already run out
Assolutamente nulla
Tutto
The room was lovely, everything in there was nice everything we needed
The staff in the gym area, we were told when checked in from your front of house staff that we could swim until 8/8.30 as gym was open until 9, we went to swim at around 7.25 man in the gym reception was sat with his feet up and said they were closing the pool at 7.30 so if we could swim for 5 mins then go for it, bad attitude, we booked with you as we love swimming so this was a positive to us booking, when went back to your front of house reception I was told they (being in the gym reception) just open and close when they like and don't tell anyone, that is not useful to us, was very disappointed, also breakfast staff were a little short and sharp, not sure they were as friendly as they could hsve been, all felt very rushed. Not the best experience overall
Room was good size and had iron and heating.
Slight delay checking in as rooms not ready, and queue of people waiting to check in, abit overpriced especially for a monday night. Also lift was far away (only 1 lift)and struggled to carry to room, think more to do with layout of hotel and abit old. Staff did their best with new system. However, if needed to may stay again
Late checkout free. Rooms very cozy. Quiet environment
Despite paying £150 per night for a room that was not the correct booking and we had to relocate, no apology from desk, breakfast was not included and was going to be charged at full rate of £16.95 per person, not advised at check in, constant wait for staff to take bar or food orders, then after 24 hours we could not get back into our newly allocated room . Whole visit a distaster
See above we left at 6am and couldn't wait to get home, over priced beer and food...dreadful service
Very clean spacious lovely comfortable room great air conditioning comfortable bed. Staff lovely
The phone didn't work to be able to get room service.
Location was superb for the purpose of my visit
Toilet constantly flowing, shower gel and shampoos non functioning, curtains stained, carpet I'll fitting.
The bedroom was a bit tired and dilapidated. Could do with a refresh, particularly the bathroom.
Room was clean and beds very comfortable for our family of 4. Great A/C made the room very pleasant to sleep in. Great curtains made the room nice and dark for sleeping in. Staff were all very breakfast. Lots of choice at breakfast. It was the perfect stop off for our trip from the SW to Aberdeen. Would stay again.
Wish we had time to try the pool but we arrived in the evening and had to be on the road first thing.
Staff!! Amazing. I misplaced my debit card and they found it and got it back to me!!
Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was very good lots of choices available. As a solo traveller didn't use any of the facilities on offer however for families the pool seemed to be a big hit. They do have a designated area outside for smokers with a bench seat however it's not under cover.
The checking in process took way too long as the staff are learning a 'new system' and there was only one member doing check ins. I'd like to think this is not the norm.
Sehr guter Pub in 10 Minuten Fussweg.
Die Hotelflure und Treppenhäuser sind schmutzig. Die Duschen im Fitnessstudio sind beschädigt. Im Zimmer war der Bereich um den Wasserkocher nicht gereinigt. Ansonsten alles schön.
Close to highway
Noisy
Location
Hotel very tired and old - smelled damp. Bed very uncomfortable
Access from motorway
The hotel is in dire need of a clean and repaint. Our room was disappointing and did not feel clean . It smelled like an old people’s home. The loo paper was hard as were the towels. The mattress was uncomfortable and one of the springs actually pinged me in the night . Would not recommend to anyone
quiet room. swimming pool, location.
noisy in bar area, first breakfast (9am) choices restricted eggs over-cooked, bacon tough (over-cooked). 2nd breakfast much better
The ease of checking in
Lack of staff in the restaurant in the evening. At one point waited about 20minutes for our drinks. The staff were trying their best but there should have been more staff available. The rooms were so far from the elevator it was really difficult for me to walk there with my disability.
Worst bed ever and non stop noise coming from the ceiling like a clicking noise
The bed and reception staff in restaurant area
Location Excellent evening meal
Nothing
I'm always impressed at Holiday Inn hotels with the ' value for money' rooms and good food in the restaurant..
The bar area has limited seating but I'm not sure how they could rectify this , with current spatial limitations
We were driving from Scotland to London. Closer to the motorway and easy to take a halt.
Great location if travelling through the area. Right next to riverside path into the city. Rooms are individually quiet, and we were allocated an accessible room because we had a dog which normally stays in vehicle, but couldn't because of the high temperature.
The breakfast was not as good quality as on previous visit. Some parts of the hotel, which seems to be very well used are starting to look run down.
Didn’t get to stay because you cancelled my sisters booking without notifying her. Terrible customer service. She is disabled and we had a dog with us. Caused a lot of unnecessary stress and problems
The fact they wouldn’t let us stay despite us booking in advance
Near my son’s school accommodation.
I regularly booked here every time we visit our son (Fri-Sun). We find it clean and comfy. However, this last visit, I paid more than £300, which was more than a hundred than we normally paid for, that is with sofa bed. But this time, shower is not great, no sofa bed, and air conditioning is not great, jacuzzi is not working.
room restaurant bar all good.
