Easy parking, welcoming, comfortable
Unpretentious but fulfilled all our needs for an overnight stay. Friendly helpful hosts, spacious room with all amenities – toiletries, tea and coffee, biscuits, etc and charming hosts -extremely good value!
Nothing
For a late night stop over it could not have been better. Great comms, very kind and generous staff, and excellent value for money.
Very cosy, spotlessly clean, amazing staff.
Loved the place will stay again
Good value. Parking. Comfortable stay. Breakfast provided. Friendly host.
Room a little dated but had everything we needed.
Breakfast good hosts really friendly and room 7 double be super comfy
I like Gillian and Stuart; they are very kind. Their breakfast and coffee are great; I enjoy them very much. I also like the location, which is close to bus stops and places of interest. Even walking to the town centre only takes about 20 minutes.
Nothing
Location, breakfast & hosts
Uncomfortable mattress on one of the single beds
Great location as between town and motorway.
Very friendly and helpful owner
Excellent place, I highly recommend it
Todo fue excepcional, buena ubicación, excelentes anfitriones e instalaciones, muy práctico para alguien que viaja solo.
Stayed here before and return because it meets my needs and the owners are really friendly
Suggest the stair carpet is replaced as it would put some people off
The hosts were excellent providing restaurant advice and suggestion to walk along the towpath rather than the road to get into the town. Recommended the worthwhile sites to visit.
Rooms quite small and small bed. Towels weren’t changed daily and no where to hang them out to dry. A bit out of the town, so Ubers needed at night. After 8 weeks in the UK and Ireland Lancaster is our least favourite city. The only time we have felt unsafe.
The location suited us perfectly as you can travel along the canal to and from the city. The building itself was cosy and well equipped for comfort with a lounge and regularly topped up complementary snacks! The breakfast dining area and the breakfast selection itself was superb. The rooms were comfortable with an even more comfortable bed and the shower was good! Kind and helpful hosts!
Food was good very clean staff was amazing walk to the town everything was close by
Greeted on arrival to a warm friendly welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
Nothing.
It was directly on our way of the roses cycle route and had secure bicycle storage.
It was a bit noisy on the main road.
Host/Staff, cleanliness and location
nothing had a great stay
Friendly owner, good location, comfy room and parking outside. I did enjoy my stay.
Can't complain 🙂
Perfect stop over in family room. Stuart and woman at breakfast (sorry didn’t get her name) were so welcoming and friendly. Little touches, fruit, biscuits etc and a lovely continental breakfast.
It was very near the M6 so good for a quick stopover. It was welcoming and friendly. Although the room was basic it was comfortable and clean. The b&b was full but it was very quiet. It was on a main road but did not hear traffic noise.
We had a fantastic one-night stay at Lancaster Town House, run by Gillian and Stuart. From the moment we arrived, they were both so welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. We dropped our bags off before check-in so we could explore Lancaster city centre, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. They also gave us some excellent recommendations for places to visit, which made our trip even better. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for both a short stay and what would be a longer visit too. The bed was comfortable, and the whole place felt warm and well looked after. As a B&B, breakfast was included, and it was excellent. There was a great selection with everything you could need to start the day. We would highly recommend staying at Lancaster Town House if you're visiting Lancaster. Gillian and Stuart are wonderful hosts, and they really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Rachael & Maisie

Zeer gastvrije ontvangst!
The warm reception by the owner. The ease of parking. The owner's local kn, which he was happy and keen to share. Brilliant power shower. Comfortable bed.
Can't think of anything.
Among the 26 countries I have traveled to, this was the warmest and most thoughtful host experience I have ever had. On our second night, we had to move from a triple room to a double room because all the rooms had already been fully booked. To our great surprise, when we entered the new room, we discovered that the host had kindly added an extra bed for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel truly cared for. During check-in, the host welcomed us with incredible warmth and hospitality. They remembered that we had come to attend a graduation ceremony and even remembered the things we had shared during our conversation. Every little detail made us feel valued and genuinely appreciated. The breakfast was another highlight of our stay, offering a wonderful variety of delicious choices. The shared areas were beautifully decorated, warm, and cozy. We even enjoyed watching the World Cup football matches together in the lovely living room, which made our stay even more memorable. Thank you so much to our wonderful host for your kindness and hospitality. You made our impression of the UK even more beautiful and unforgettable.
The ceiling fan in the bedroom in the heat wave as it was hot outside and hotter inside, like many British houses. Clean, big bathroom and space to move around in our double room. Very friendly staff/ owner.. Lovely, non pretentious traditional guest house style B&B.
The simple breakfast was OK, but I needed low carbs and it only had cereals, toast and crumpets (nice but high carbs). I was disappointed. I understand "continental" as incuding meats and cheeses. Not here. Some people may like a softer bed. Not me, I got aches and pains I don’t normally have after 2 nights. And our room faced the rather busy main road, which was loud when we needed windows open in the heat. This may be fine for those used to traffic noise. We live on a quiet road. We were pleased we'd brought ear plugs. I recommend this.
Comfortable bed, very clean and well presented, lots of "extra" touches (appreciated the chocolate biscuits!) Breakfast was just right, not everyone wants a cooked breakfast in the morning. Plenty of crumpets, breads, jams, juices, yoghurts and fruit. The host (Stuart) is such an amenable and kind man, very chatty, informative and engaging, who has obvious pride in his BnB. There is a lovely communal area where you can relax on a comfy sofa, read one of the many interesting books on the local area (especially the musical heritage of Lancaster). P.S. Stuart Rockonteurs Podcast + Jeff "Skunk" Baxter!
Couldn't find fault with the place or the host (Stuart)
Good location, pleasant host, excellently value.
The single room was fairly worn and the decor could do with a refresh / update
Clean and comfortable. Fantastic place to stay. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect. Nice canal walk into Lancaster City Centre.
Lovely breakfast selection, clean room and ensuite, easy access and good facilities (fridge, lounge etc).
Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was good as was the breakfast. A+.
A lovely place. Stuart, the host is really nice and helpful. Lovely room. Lots of little extra touches such as fruit and wrapped chocolate biscuits in the foyer which are restocked regularly. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again.
Host was very friendly, the beds were comfy, good location and price, will book again.
Very friendly and very convenient for my needs many thanks
I found the mattress a little hard but im sure its a good orthopaedic one so maybe user error lol
Very nice accommodation with feel of homeliness, the host couldn’t have been anymore pleasant.
It s a mile out of town centre.
It is very homely.
Price and location
No fans supplied. Asked several times for fresh towels which I never received.
Comfy bed. Friendly host. Good continental breakfast
Nothing
The breakfast was adequate. Not a great selection of cereal but I enjoyed what I chose. The welcome was very friendly. My room was at the front of the house and the road noise in the night was loud and I didn’t sleep well. I tried to close the windows but the mechanism didn’t work and I was unable to fully close the two windows.
The bathroom was very clean but the room itself was wasn’t very clean. The radiator top was dusty. The room needed some fresh decoration. The bedroom linen and bathroom towels were clean.
● Very friendly owners; made me feel very welcome ● Relaxing 'homely feel' ● Good Wi-Fi connection ● Clean bedroom with clean en-suite ● Bedding & towels provided ● Powerful shower ● Complimentary soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner ● Clean kitchen & breakfast area ● Lounge area with T.V. & books ● Great location ● BREAKFAST OPTIONS were toast, crumpets, jam, marmalade, Marmite, butter, cereal, yoghurts, biscuits, apples, oranges, bananas, tea, coffee, pure orange juice
The only TINY downside (for some people) would be that the walls needed re-papering. HOWEVER, I wasn't perturbed by this because EVERYWHERE was CLEAN. I'd definitely stay there again!
Owners really welcoming and happy to help. Parking on street in front or there is a small free public car park around the corner. Room very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Extra tea, coffee and water etc available in reception area. It was nice to have a living room and dining room to use, and access to a fridge - made a pleasant evening watching TV before bed. Basic breakfast of cereal, toast and yoghurt with tea, coffee and orange juice - which was served in a nice dining area. I would stay again.
The decor is a bit dated in places, but fine for a great value B&B. It was located a little further out of Lancaster Town than I thought, so for me an Uber was used - others may be happy with the 20 min walk.
Lovely stay as previously, thank you. Would always come back 😊 P.S I managed to see both: Williamson Park and Seaside: Morecambe 😁
There was no WiFi connection in the room at all
Warm welcome by the hosts, comfortable bed. Lots of tea and coffee. Location ok, only 5 pounds to return after a night out.
Great location Easy check in Lovely clean rooms Fantastic staff who made you feel very welcome and where extremely helpful when needed.
Nothing …. All good.

Comfy room, great shower, great host. Breakfast was varied and plentiful.
The breakfast if continental. No cooked breakfast available. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
NA - Everything was ok.
The host was really nice: she checked us in a couple hours earlier. Room was a bit small, but has everything we needed. Breakfast was nice as well: good selection of yogurts, juices, and cereal.
Nothing really to complain about
The blaze was nice and clean and the staff nice and helpful and very polite
Nice and clean
Location was great for seeing the Faulty towers revisited dinner show which was held at the Holiday inn under a mile up the road.Easy to walk to, the hotel was very clean and well presented with a very warm welcome throughout are stay. Breakfast was lovely too. Value for money.
Lovely place, Stuart (and the other host whose name I didn't get) are great people, the room was nice and it's a comfortable distance from town. I'll definitely be back!
The only real issue I had was that the WiFi was patchy in my room but that could partly be down to my old phone as opposed to anything that could be done. Apart from that no issues at all
Staff were lovely, easy parking.
Excellent value little hotel. The decor is rather dated, but the room was warm and comfortable.
Parking can be tricky, and it's a good 20 minute walk from the centre.
The staff were lovely, friendly and very welcoming.
The cleanliness was very much to be desired. Blood stains on the sheets, mould on the tiles, cobwebs, pealing wallpaper, hole in the wall, mattresses like rocks, bathroom was dirty (dead spiders) it was honestly disgusting. We wouldn't recommend or stay again which is a shame because the staff are so friendly.
The landlady and other staff I met were super friendly to this single traveller arriving on a bike. Lancaster has a good network of cycle paths, an easy 10 minute ride from the railway station

Good value, comfortable stay. Continental breakfast was included, which was an unexpected bonus. The host was very welcoming and informative.
It did what it said on the tin
A bit threadbare in places but I would definitely return
Ace - very comfortable bed and pillows
Nothing
Basic breakfast but a great range of products. Cleanliness. The welcome from Stuart.
Can't think of anything other than a mixture of teas in the room. It would have been nice. Excellent range in the breakfast room, so I took some up.
Very helpfull and friendly
Nothing
Good location, nice friendly service. Very clean room
Could do with a freshen up of the decor.
so nice
nice
Location, hosts, breakfast, all good. Bed was ok, room acceptable but condition of the building is a bit of an issue compared to many places.
Needs a bit of maintenance and some updating.
Welcoming. Easy parking. Comfortable room. Surprisingly good continental breakfast with plenty of choices . Nice walk to town on canal towpath
Sliding door to bathroom bit unpredictable
Wszystko ok polecam

We had a comfortable stay (very good mattress) parking facility perfect, arrived later than expected and still received a warm welcome.
Continental Breakfast was fine. Quiet location. Located a mile out of town. Ample free off-road parking.
Stairs to 3rd Floor.
Friendly host, good parking and easy access to the city centre.
It was like a home from home, very warm and cosy. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting the local attractions, park and ride was nearby and a selection of restaurants are close to the property.
Pleasant staff, good location, got a good night sleep
Everything was OK. Owner was nice and helpful. Lovely little place.
Cooked breakfast would have been preferable. Oh and a larger TV in the room.
Great and quiet facility with lovely staff and amenities in the rooms.
The shower was electric and had very poor water pressure
Great value, clean and cosy. Terrific hosts who were very friendly and helpful
Good conperry

Comfortable,clean and friendly
Nothing to not like
Once again the Townhiuse suited me well as an older, solo traveller. Hosts very welcoming and informative about your stay, and what Lancaster offers. Great to have free parking. Self service breakfast, variety of cereals, toast, crumpets & jams/marmelades suits me fine. Very comfy firm bed. No unnecessary frills; all essentials provided. Charges are excellent value. I'll be back.
Would have much preferred a non-sweetened muesli - not a deal breaker.
Lovely, comfortable and friendly (an old-fashioned B&B in a good way!). Great owner and excellent value for money - nice walk into town along the river too.
No problems at all
Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, brilliant breakfast options including alot of vegan options.
Welcoming hosts, warm comfortable room, vegan/gluten-free options at breakfast, easy parking
Can't think of anything!
Nice little hotel and always meets our expectations.

we been before and lovled so we been again and will go again soon .
Easy check in, clean and comfortable.
Very small room but as it was just a place to sleep perfectly adequate for what we needed
Really nice townhouse bed and breakfast, clean, safe, able to park at the back, lovely owner.
The walk into town wasn’t a nice one up a busy main road, however it is only £5 in an uber . Don’t try to park at the front during rush hour it’s a busy road.
Very nice

A great value hotel, with a friendly team and very clean
Some facilities are a little tired, but everything worked fine and was clean - definitely good value
Plenty coffee. Tea, biscuits, nice and warm. Comfy beds. Quiet and homely. Made to feel welcome and valued. The host was friendly and helpful.
Would've liked a bigger TV.
