Bathroom too small I ordered a queen bed and got given two single beds instead

The room was a good size and was quiet. The bed was comfortable and bathroom adequate. The breakfast was good on the first morning.

We stayed for two nights and thought it would be convenient to have evening meals in the hotel restaurant. The first evening our meals took 45 minutes to arrive. The second evening we were told there were no tables as they had two coach bookings, but we could sit at the bar, which we did but were then told the kitchen wasn't taking any orders, even for sandwiches. Breakfast the following morning was cold as the hotplates either weren't working or hadn't been turned on.

Breakfast was very good, evening meal was poor, went to a pub instead.

Bedroom was in need of some work. The plugs in bath and washbasin were broken and shower mechanism was very stiff and had to be sorted out by the manager when we arrived. Hit and miss after that. Wardrobe door wouldn’t close.

Receptionist on arrival very pleasant and helpful.

Old menu in the room for room service so couldn't get preferred choice of meal. Staff in restaurant hold mugs with napkins, serviettes in etc by the top (where you drink from) and remove the cutlery by the fork prong end. I find this unacceptable and unhygienic.

Old tired rooms and dirty linen. Should not be a four star accommodation and they certainly shouldn’t be charging London prices for this level of Hotel.

I had to move rooms 2 times in the first night with no tv then 1 more time the seconds wasn’t happy

Location is very good, easy to get buses into town. Very nice reception area, spacious, clean and staff very welcoming. Easy to check in and out. Bedroom was comfortable. Good breakfast with alot of choices.

En-suite bathroom very small, not easy to get in and out of the door. Hot water at the sink takes a long while to warm up and the flush on the toilet was weak, need to flush at least twice. It would be nice to have a small bottle of water included on the tea tray and a little packet of biscuits. Just little touches like that would make it nicer, and more worth the price of the bedroom.

The welcoming feel we always feel. The food is tasty.

The outer doors and fire doors left open all the time. I felt vulnerable.

Clean and quiet. The bathroom was tiny could hardly shut the door. The entire floor smelled of smoke as people smoking with the fire exit door open. No kettle. No elevator! But was in a good location and staff were very helpful and pleasant

I booked a room for 2 adults thinking ide get a double bed but ended up with 2 singles and I fell through them in the middle of the night as me and my partner pushed them together

We ordered as advertised “ home made curry “ unfortunately it has appeared with no trace of any Indian spice in it, just tomato sauce and clearly reheated, hard rice. Quite disappointing quality really. Such a contrast with the great breakfast.

Despite the Non functional AC not working, the Staff were Great and very helpful and courteous. A BIG THANK YOU to James from the restaurant who Welcomed us with open arms, we had a Tudor conversation a very polite and passionate person. Furthermore Paulina who served us both in the evening and bkf - Thank you. And finally Shannon at the reception who remained calm and collective whilst I was complaining about the AC. The housekeeping lady was very helpful the following morning and gave us an extra bed sheet so we could sleep better, because the duvet was too warm and no AC. Really lovely and passionate staff members.

We PAID for a room with Air Conditioning, which is clearly stated Proudly when they sold it. When we entered the room, the room was hot and stuffy. Someone came down to check, and said to give it a few mins, it will work. That was James from the restaurant. After 2hrs it did not work, and I mentioned it to Shannon at the reception. Who very kindly explained that the AC system is very old and doesn't always work everywhere in hotel. I asked that Shannon reports this, because it's not acceptable, when you Pay for a service standard and don't it! Shannon was very understanding and issued us with a Free drink voucher. I went onto to explain that I will take this up with my agent a will request a refund for 1night. Shannon totally understand and agreed that the service has not been meet by IHG and the hotels standards. We were really upset, the rest of our group took another hotel nearby with AC. We choose this particular hotel because of the quiet location and naturally the AC.

The room was comfortable, breakfast was of good standard and varied and it was great to have a reasonable sized pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Very efficient aircon in the room which we appreciated in the hot weather. It had ample free parking at the hotel. We used Park and Ride not far from the hotel to get into Norwich city centre, which was convenient.

There wasn't a lift to our floor for taking the luggage to and from the room.

I always feel so comfortable at the hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I definitely will return. Such a refreshing change to other hotels i have stayed at.

Just a small constructive criticism I think it would be lovely to have some solar lights in the garden area.

We always stay here. We love the atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and professional.

Dissapointed that originally we were booked for two nights but had to change to one nights as my sons flight was delayed 24 hrs so we had to stay one more night s we were dog sitting. However the original room on the lower floor was CANCELLED which should not have been, we had just reduced it by one day. So we were a floor higher. We always stay in 132, 133 or 136.

Hotel is in a good location (near 2 park & rides for Norwich centre) with reasonable size car park. Room was quite spacious with good facilities and air con that worked well and quietly. Also very quiet - no traffic noise at all, nor any noise from other guests or activities (noting that a wedding reception was ongoing somewhere in the hotel). Very good buffet breakfast - good selection of hot and cold food, and cereals with fruit.

The health suite is in poor condition and not especially clean. Near the toilets on entering the pool it stank of urine very strongly.

Not really anything to dislike. If reaching, I guess the pool was too busy to get a ‘proper’ swim in. But it may not have been so busy at a different time. I was only there 1 night.

We bought an evening meal. The Tikka masala curry was very watery & the Fish was over cooked. The Hotel and grounds are in need of a good tidy up & maintenance.

Comfortable beds made for good nights sleep

The pool, sauna and steam room were lovely but hot tub was turned off early. It was clean but floor vey wet and slippy. The staff were polite enough and said the right things but didn't follow through. The room was clean and tea and coffee were minimal but ok. Hairdryer in room was good. Had a kettle that wouldn't work so they changed it promptly. Parking was straight forward.

I travelled with my friend visiting other friends and therefore booked a twin room through booking.com. Upon arrival we were told there weren't any twin rooms and it was not guaranteed. They said had I booked direct they would've guaranteed it! At 8 pm it was not ideal. No other hotels had availability so we had no choice. Before travel I rang the hotel to request a room near the lift as I have poor mobility. We were in room 140 down a flight of stairs and at the farthest point away from reception. Apparently there is no lift at this hotel. The pool changing area was very slippy. Needs non slip mats throughout. We were not given correct times so arrived as they were closing.

Our room was very cold, 16 degrees when we arrived and therefore very uncomfortable. The heatwave had been over for at least a week, so it seemed unnecessary to have the air con on and no ability to warm the room up.

Nice. It was a very hot day so the air con was lovely in the room and the corridors. The bar/dining area was a good size.

The bed was terrible. Room 225. It sloped into the middle and that was not good for me, especially with a bad back. And the pillows were extremely lumpy. The receptionist said hello, I gave my name, she handed me a form to fill out (the proceeded to hold a conversation with another member of staff that could have waited until she had checked us in). No other conversation or pleasantries. Shame we didn’t feel welcomed.

Bed and free parking are good for me. I didn't try their breakfast this time but will try next time.

The exhaust fan for bathroom was not functioning because it's very wet and humid after bathing. I informed the counter for this issue but no luck for fixing.

Fantastic stay from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, but the real highlight was the staff. Very friendly, welcoming, and kind. I loved that the kids ate for free that’s such good value because the food was great.

The location but that can’t be helped

Breakfast was fine but there were quite a few empty dishes where food had not been replenished. Also, I would have liked to have porridge and there was none on show. If I was supposed to ask, I was not aware of it.

I had a baked potato for supper. It and the tuna which came with it were fine but the salad leaves were a bit "gritty". I could think of no reason for this other than the leaves had not been washed thoroughly.

Room on arrival had obviously been smoked in. I was very, very tired so just wanted a bed. Hair on bath. Cabinet needed adjustment. Show head need fixing. Stupid bed castors caught my foot more than once, don't hotel room designers ever use their designs? Very expensive, £138 on Booking.com, no cheaper as a Silver Elite card holder.

The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The staff were very nice and the buffet breakfast was fine. I appreciated that the rooms were pretty much sound proof. The shower was great.

The room was not cool enough in the hot weather. An air conditioner was not working, only the fan setting. We had run out of shower gel and asked one of the staff to refill it but she never did. We were only informed at reception about the higher priced breakfast buffet at £14 booked the night before. I ended up only eating a continental breakfast anyway. When I asked later about a cheaper price for just continental breakfast , the person at reception said that was fine and they would only charge £9.95 for it! I wish I had known about the cheaper option earlier.

The window not closing properly- needs fixing. We did tell Reception. Plus would be nice to include breakfast in the price which we observed went up dramatically the nearer it got to the date. Not a problem for us we had booked early but others would have had to pay over £40 more than us - doesn’t seem fair. One more small thing - shower gel was empty - cleaning staff need to check this.
