Very clean and friendly staff
Kids amenities like the arcade and bowling were run down and in disrepair. Over 10 arcade machines and most were broke and the other took your money and didn’t work Definitely a huge disappointment The bowling was $12 for an hour and worked for maybe 10 minutes Kids were extremely disappointed We were 1 adult and 2 children. The over $300 room only included breakfast for 2. I had to pay $22 for the third person to eat
Location. Very helpful and polite staff. Very good breakfast.
Parking a little awkward and tight to get into with a pickup truck, and entrance gate not positioned for ease of using the parking card; had to exit the vehicle to reach the scanner. Also no elevator in parking garage so when leaving had to carry luggage up and down stairs (and front circle was occupied by a few cars so could not load luggage there). Not many luggage carts available most of the time)
When there was a problem staff helped out
My first room was a mess, located directly over the stage for a loud event, in which the setup even the day before and morning of stopped us from resting. In the room there was a loud constant buzz from the fridge, and the air conditioner was very loud turning on and off and couldn't be set to just stay on, leaving a loud, warm and disruptive sleep. On top of all that, the supplied hair drier given by the hotel blew the fuse in the room TWICE leaving me in the dark and needing to visit the front desk. After the first night stay, I was able to switch to a better room that did not have those problems, which was a great improvement.
Breakfast spread was good
Breakfast was fantastic! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Central location to what we were doing.
Little freezer top for ice packs for journey home. More than 2 coffee pods for morning(4) preferably and 2 complimentary bottles of water in the room.
Perfect location
All good
We slept.
Cleanliness, FRIENDLINESS of staff. Having enough towels or face cloths for number of guests reported. ''Breakfast included'' however only for 2 adults, when booking for a family of 4 is misleading. FINE PRINT is a deceptive method of doing this.
Amazing location right next to an ION station and a 15 minute easy walk from Kitchener GO. Pool was nice and the beds were really comfy.
Not the most soundproof rooms. Wasn't a problem for us but we could hear a lot of chatter from outside the room. The shower also sometimes took forever to get hot water, other times it worked immediately.
The customer service amazing
Location easy to walk everywhere
Nothing
The hotel staff were unfriendly, we got stuck in the elevator, no towels at the pool, break fast was only for 2 people - we are a family of four. It was awful
Location was good and had lots of amenities.
Place was a bit of a maze and one set of elevators were out of service.
Good location clean and friendly atmosphere
I like my stay I wish the check out would be after 1200
I had a wonderful experience at Crown Hotel. Richa at the reception was very kind, professional, and helpful. She assisted me with everything I needed and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Her excellent customer service made my stay much better. Thank you, Richa, for your kindness and support. I truly appreciate your help and would gladly stay here again.and the housekeeping lady
room was large bright and clean
mattress was too soft
Excellent breakfast - many choices. And terrific service from Carol.
Within walking distance of restaurants, pubs and Victoria Park. Excellent breakfast, great staff and good on-site restaurant and bar
Getting into the hotel from the road was a little awkward as spots to park while checking in are very few
The pool.
Had to pay for bowling and mini golf.
Hotel location is good and central. Lots of dining nearby. But the sound proofing in rooms to the outside is terrible. I can't put into words how insanely loud it is. I was in NYC 2 wreks ago a block from the Empire state building and in a very busy area - not a sound. This feels like windows are wide open. Writing this at 1030pm from the room and can hear everything outside from cars to voices of people walking by. AC is TERRIBLE. Thermostat is a Hoteltec ultra and they can not be overridden at all, rooms set to 70. You can change thermostat to "say" its at 67 etc but in reality it wont go below its set point. Many video hacks online say this one can not be overriden, which I didn't believe, but I tried everything - the room is stuffy and hot. Fan wont stay on. No one can sleep because its gross hot and also loud As heck. I am gonna need a bag of gummies, headphones, and a cold towel, just to get any sleep tonight. Smallest bathroom I have ever been in. No space to even have a curling iron or makeup or leave out toiletries. Fitness equipment room - nothing was on or working and despite requesting rooms be plugged in, it was all still off when we checked again after informing front desk. We will see if someone turned it on by tomorrow AM. Experience overall (and there are other minor annoyances) is meh, I would say this is a 2.5 star at best, but any redeeming quality (location) is offset by the fact 2 people are arguing outside my window right now and I can hear enough to know she's kinda obnoxious - and I'm on the 3rd floor!! No, I would not stay again. If you come here: Bring headphones. Bring a good fan. Trip typeFamily Rooms2.0 Location4.0 Rooms: AC is poopy. Rooms loud as heII. Smallest bathroom ever

It was good hotel for our stay. They were warm and family friendly! They were so helpful making everything request happen for us!
Stay was very comfortable. Family friendly hotel with an awesome hot buffet breakfast and live station. Rooms were spacious and well trained staff.
Excellent stay! Every staff member provided exceptional hospitality and made us feel truly welcome. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of parking available. The food was outstanding, offering a great dining experience throughout our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers visiting the area. We look forward to returning!
The staff was welcoming. The food was good but expensive.
The reason I booked this hotel was for the bowling and arcade. My son’s whole baseball team booked this hotel based on my recommendation. I paid over $600 for two nights and neither the bowling OR Arcade were functional.
Der sehr freundliche Empfang
Amazing. Staff catered to dietary needs very pleasing
Parking
I'd like the amenities/rec room although it was a bit run down. Could use a refresh. The pool was good. I was surprised no hot tub.
I didn't like the night shift front desk person. He wasn't friendly at all. We had issues with payment. He didn't tell us about the free breakfast. Just shoved the card at me. And said my coupons were in there. I was too tired to ask. By the time payment went through we just wanted to get to our room. He wouldn't give me his real name when I asked. Just said people called him HP. Very unprofessional.
Room had everything I needed. It was clean and the common areas in the hotel were comfortable.
The doors closed loudly and you could hear people in hallway more than at other places I have stayed.
The parking was OK. Unfortunate that it was in a different building than the hotel. The hallways were a bit of a maze but figured it out quickly.

Location was perfect. Space was very clean
Smaller rooms and thin walls and ceiling. I heard all the running and walking outside and above my room.
Room was great.

Easy check in.
I dont know where to start, immediately we parked and realized we had to carry our luggage from the parking garage to the entrance as many vehicles were entering at the front door incorrectly. Not to mention this is an uphill walk with 3 suitcases and a child. Once we checked in we were told that there were breakfast vouchers that had to be brought to breakfast with us - 3 people staying, 2 adults, 1 child. So this meant breakfast was only included for 2 out of the 3 of us staying (unacceptable, as my booking stated breakfast included!) We got to our room - i can only describe it as a shoe box, this was the third hotel we stayed at in the month of april for 4 nights and the smallest but most expensive. 3 people on the listing, room equipped with only 2 towels. Ironing board would open but not close after use. Bedtime arrived, the room was a sauna - advised by staff that air conditioning was broken..... tried to sleep. 1st night - yelling, shouting and screaming outside our window on the second floor basically all night long - wake up head to breakfast - not allowed to return to room to eat my breakfast that again only 1 adult could attend as my daughter required someone to watch her as she had no breakfast ticket. Day 2 - went to the basement to play mini golf and bowling, no clubs or golf balls to be found - sign says ask attendant - no one was around like a ghost town. Night 2 - screaming again all night long outside. Day 3 - alternated adult for breakfast asked hotel staff for more towels while we went down to the pool, returned from the pool - still no towels - notified hotel staff a second time and was told id have to wait as they were downstairs - okay no problem - brings me 2 towels again 3 people in the room - then hotel staff explained that because she had brought me towels i had to dial *62 on the phone in the room because this is her job and she serviced the room so i have to do - like WHAT!
Place was good, only compliant was door lock makes door hard to open Your retrofit of power lock this was overlooked, yes lock opens but door is hard to open.

Nothing advertised worked . Didn’t give any refund
"I had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Kitchener-Waterloo! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of some great local restaurants and shops. The room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly quiet for being downtown. I have to give a special shout-out to the beds; they were incredibly comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. A major highlight was the breakfast at the Aqua Lounge—the omelette station is a must-try! We also spent some time at the bowling alley and pool, which were great perks that you don't usually find in a city hotel. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether you're here for business or with family, this is easily one of the best places to stay in the KW area. I'll definitely be back!"
Clean, has a bowling alley and mini put, very nice pool
Comfortable room, spacious as well. Location was close to the theater venue.
Location was far from the go station.
The hotel and pool. The breakfast was amazing.
The bowling and arcade was extra cost and alot out of service.
Clean and friendly staff
Certain things outdated that could use upgrades but all in all great place with amazing staff. Everyone very friendly.
Poor accessibility, ignoring/oblivious to booking request needs, sad gym, total lack of privacy at pool, crack addicts in front and side of hotel (where you go for parking - it dpesnt feel safe and in depressed area), almost useless vanity area in bathroom, 1980s shower head, heat/cooling unadjustable at certain times or just not functioning. Hallways littered with room service trays, etc for virtually my entire 24 hour stay. Not that I was going, but they were trying to sell a $50pp easter brunch buffet...lol. Ummm..... Do not recommend. Way better options within 10min or less of this hotel.
Staff was nice did let us check in 1 hour early
Ants in the washroom. Noticed next day while getting ready in the morning. I would have liked to use gym and pool at 5 am before checking out. We had to leave at 7:30 am. In the evening there were a lot of kids in the pool
Amazing breakfast . Great rooms , staff at buffet were amazing
The arcade room is a joke .. staff say it’s a 3rd party so they are not responsible for the games not working meanwhile there’s a game that costs 1$ and has 108$ showing on the screening meaning 108 people have been scammed by it !! And they do nothing to fix it or take it out ??? Nothing in the arcade worked which made my kid have a meltdown bowling ally also broken .
Everything
Nothing
The bed was comfortable and it was close walking distance to lots of shops
I booked this for my son and I to enjoy while we were in town for a bowling tournament. We were very disappointed to find the bowling lane inside the hotel to be out of order. The arcade was also very run down with most games out of order as well. Being charged a fee to use the other things like bowling, mini putt, ping pong is absolutely insane when I paid $300 for 1 night stay. They also tried to tell me that my booking only included 1 breakfast voucher when I booked my room for 2 people. The room was dirty and very outdated. Dried shampoo drips and hair on the floor of the shower. There is no sound proofing and we could hear people on either side of us and kids running on the floor above us. The hall we were in had wet toilet paper wad on the floor the duration of our stay. This hotel is also not accessible for those in wheelchairs as none if the doors have accessible buttons. Made it very hard to get through with suitcases. I cant imagine the trouble someone with limited mobility would have. We were very disappointed. We ended up leaving to go down the street to a pool hall to find something fun to do while we were there. This place really needs work. I will not be staying here again. Definitely not worth my money.
The pool and inside was very nice
Honestly our room was dirty. The windows looked like they were never cleaned and when we wiped it our hands were black. When they said breakfast was included, they only give two vouchers and kids needed to be paid for.
Staff were kind and helpful
The child amenities were an added cost, the bowling alley didnt work. Arcade room didnt work and the pool was quite dirty and grimy
Location & staff were excellent.
Breakfast was not hot. Many items were low.
When I arrived to check-in, I was told. I needed a major credit card even though your website said 250. Dollar deposit preferred damage. And that is not right. I was willing to pay cash in advance for the 4 knights, but I was refused. It's disgusting.
I could have been checked in at paid cash in advance for the four nights with a damaged deposit without issue
Covered parking
The noise in this place is like none other. Do not book if you’re needing to sleep.
Very welcoming, modern look to the hotel interior. Great pool (although the smell of chlorine hits you as you enter the lobby). Stayed in a King room. Was clean, comfortable and spaceous. Nice full shower (not in a bathtub 👍)
Nothing particularly negative stands out
Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and breakfast buffet was very good!
The room was like a sauna. We could not adjust the temperature and was given an excuse about it being this way because of the weather (?). A fan was brought to our room which did very little. We were. drenched in sweat the whole night and it was March!
This was a lovely location. Close to the market. Easily accessible parking. Very clean. Really good breakfast with many options for diverse diets. The breakfast was also replenished regularly. The rooms were clean and modern. Lots of outlets for all the devices. We’ll set up gym.
Very minor concerns. The in room coffee maker produced barely warm coffee. There was a significant celebration on the Saturday evening. While the staff clearly made an effort to minimize the impact of the noise (they closed the fire doors between the sections of the hotel) the volume of the party was disrupting. Thankfully we were all quite tired and managed to fall asleep anyway. It would have been nice to be forewarned so that we could have brought earplugs.
Location was great price was decent
No water in rooms? Rooms used to have balcony doors that were just screwed and taped shut? Looked very unappealing when in the room.
Staff were amazing
A little outdated
Came here for a sports event in Kitchener with family. Lobby was nice but the rest of the hotel was run down. Doors slammed all night, kids running the hallways. No way to control heat in the room. The area is full of unhoused persons and are overdosing all over the sidewalks and begging for change. There is a small pool and the gym is stuffed in the basement with old equipment. I would look elsewhere before booking there.
We had a pleasant stay overall (one week-end). The King room was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was complete and varied. And the staff was welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Kitchener, with easy access to shops and restaurants. We didn't use the parking or pool.
The only minor downside was that the rooms are not very well soundproofed, which can be slightly inconvenient if you like to sleep in.
the fact i was charged 75$ at checkout for breakfast when it wasnt made aware to me when purchasing it was that high of a price for a plate of food and 2 ceasers.. the staff were super ignorant and unhelpful. will never go back again.
Location Breakfast Parking
Garbage in hall for 3 days
Colazione ambiente camera
Room was very small, no chairs to sit on and bathroom was extremely little with no counter space. Bed was very comfy.
Staff was outstanding. Breakfast items were cold and of poor quality. Dinner was good.
Breakfast, room needed modernizing, and fresh towels were not given.
Great location.
Sunijet from the concierge, she was awesome!!!!! ( i am not sure if that is her name, I don’t recall but she was really exceptional)

People and cleanliness
The bathroom door seal was broken so water leaked all over floor
The breakfast was fine, staff were lovely
The way we were dealt with, the ceiling in the our showroom clasped, we. Came after a party @ 4.00am. No conderation given to the inconvenience that caused us , were offered a room on the 10th floor when we were staying on the 3 floor. No compensation offered, in fact our email hasn’t been responded to. Very poor service, no consideration for the customer given. We’re told we had already paid for the stay, even though we endured a clasped ceiling and out stuff there ruined!
Love the fitness center with everything you can think of. 5 pin bowling 5$/hr/Lane kids loved it. Homemade mini golf was ok and arcade was a disappointment some machines took out money. Things I loved was safe parking onsite and available till midnight of your check out day. Close to bus and train routes to the mall, also a few restaurants in walking distance. Loved the beds!!!!!
Breakfast was great , lots of selection , fresh fruit s as and choice of sweetened snd unsweetened yogurt
I tried an omelette snd crepes. Vegetables were not cooked and neither were eggs. Tried a crepe but s as lol undercooked. Both were fried in oil which is not compatible with egg dishes
No heat or cooling control and no action on our complaint of this issue by management. Parking was expensive and was not part of the room cost. Strange passage from parking to the frost desk.
Het bed
Het zwembad had groter gemogen
Mattress to soft
The hotel could have done better with the continental breakfast. The breakfast wasnt that great at all.
The breakfast was not great at all, and for the price. The location wasn't that great
Greta Value for the price, Service is excellent. Front Desk staffs are so friendly, Amazing Breakfast one of the best that i have had in any hotel in a long time, Carol at the restaurant is just amazing.
Here’s a clear, firm, but well-written review you can post. I kept it factual and experience-based so it carries weight with other families: --- We chose this hotel specifically because of the family-friendly amenities advertised — a bowling alley, arcade, pool, and special activities for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, **none of these amenities worked**, and it completely ruined our stay. The bowling alley did not work at all. When we asked the front desk, they acted as if they were unaware of any issues. However, a maintenance staff member told us that it **barely ever works**, which was incredibly frustrating given that this was a major reason we booked the hotel. The arcade was just as disappointing. Multiple machines took our money and then did not work. We were told the machines are owned by a third-party company, so the hotel “couldn’t help us,” leaving us out the money with no solution. The entire property feels **run-down and poorly maintained**. On New Year’s Eve, instead of enjoying the amenities we paid for, we were forced to sit bored in our room. Even the TV didn’t work properly and had no signal. We attempted to use the pool, but it was **not heated**. Several families, including ours, tried to swim and quickly had to leave because it was far too cold. To make matters worse, when I contacted customer service afterward, I was told the bowling alley *was* working — which is clearly untrue and contradicted by both staff and numerous reviews stating it hasn’t worked in a long time. We were also told there was mini golf available, but there was **no equipment provided** to actually play. This hotel advertises amenities it does not maintain or provide. If you are traveling with children or booking based on these features, **do not stay here**. We were extremely disappointed and would not return.
Good location, great breakfast and nice staff.
