The facilities is showing some lack of maintenance, but overall it was fine. I would not book another stay there though.
When coming in the front door the body odor smell from one of the front desk workers was near gagable. Do better at your hiring. The TV service in the room was very limited and reception was poor also.
Great location, plenty of food options, very friendly staff, security on property.

Clean and friendly.
In the past 1 year, we have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times. We travel to Golden a couple times a month between August and March and this is usually where we stay. Since our last visit, they reduced the water pressure in the showers to a dribble, and they remodeled the dining area. The new dining area resembles an elementary school recess yard. They removed the comfortable seating, booths, and couches, and replaced them with wooden type picnic benches, and hard uncomfortable seating that looks like cheap outdoor bar seating. Some people might like it and think it's fun, but I prefer comfort and to be treated like a gown-up. Just my opinion. Won't stay here again.
Outdoor pool, good breakfast and very good coffee.
Water in the bathroom sink never got cold. Could use new pillows.
Clean comfortable quiet room near good food options and family who we were visiting.
Only 10 minutes away from Red Rocks The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great hot breakfast and nice pool area. Loved the pillow top mattress!!
Parking
The breakfast was the only thing about this hotel that was above low average. It is a typical hotel breakfast but the quality was above normal. Health exercise room had some nice equipment, but 2 of the 3 treadmills were out of order and half the free weights (the lighter ones) were missing. Both television is the room were out of order.
Elevators remained dirty and not even swept during our 4 day stay. The towels and bed linens were serviceable but definitely older and tired, the bath mat had a hole in it. The hotel is apparently undergoing conversion into one of the low end Hilton brands. The decor is pretty generic "plastic" and blah.
Not one thing.
I have already sent this extensive information to both the hotel and booking.com. We are seeking a refund.
Great staff at the hotel
Na
I liked how breakfast was available at 6am
Personnel staff are so great !!!
Rooms the bed are not comfortable at all, bathroom basic with no space to leave personal hygiene belongings !
Location
This Hampton Inn did not have any chest of drawers or coffee pot. Limited rods for hanging clothes.
Gostei da localizacao e do quarto
Cafe da manha com poucas opcoes, porem o cafe superou as expectativas com a versao mais encoorpada
This is a terrible bait and switch issue. I've stayed here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the HAMPTON INN experience. Imagine my surprise after booking 2 rooms for a vacation with friends to find Hilton has turned it into a lower end SPARK! No notifications, checked the website, yip, it says HAMPTON INN. The building still has Hampton Inn on the side of it. It shows all the photos of the old Hampton Inn and you can still book it as a Hampton Inn. But it's not...it's now a Spark. I think the rooms are sterile, cold and lack the warms of the Hampton experience. I believe Hilton are clearly in breach of contract. I booked a Hampton Inn, a different Hilton brand and had no notification of the brand change. I would never have booked a SPARK. I hate SPARK's cold ikea style branding. I've requested the hotel management front up tomorrow and explain the complete lack of communication and what they plan to offer me to put this right.
De ligging buuten de stad met veel parkeergelegenheid. Nette kamers.
Niets
The hotel indicates that it is doing work to rebrand itself. And it apparently has given up on being Hampton Inn. Trim features around the hotel are in tatters, our room never got cleaned, no safe in the room and subpar overall housekeeping. Look elsewhere.
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great. And everyone thought the beds were very comfortable and we all appreciated that there was no carpet in the room.
Pool was a lil dirty. And needed some repairs.
They are in process of updating public areas
I didnt even get to get checked in whenever I arrived they had no rooms
I didnt even get to get checked in whenever I arrived they had no rooms
The location was great and the breakfast was terrific. The staff was also super friendly and helpful.
It would have helped to have notice that the property was under renovations. The staff did its best to address the disruptions.
I should have trusted other reviews when they stated that this hotel is not a Hampton Inn, it is a Spark hotel. This is not information disclosed to guests when they book. This is an aging property. It is a large hotel with two guest elevators. One was broken during my entire stay. They do not seem to have a freight elevator so the housekeeping staff rides with their giant carts on the guest elevator. The rooms have fake wood floors and decor that feels more like your college dorm room the day you moved in, rather than a hotel. The AC in my room was SO loud when it clicked on that it woke me up every time. On the positive, it looked like a nice outdoor pool, and the fitness room was clean and adequate. The breakfast was per usual for a Hampton Inn. The typical, friendly, professional Hilton staff was not part of my experience.
Location.
Horrible rooms. We had room 412. A/C above us rattled all night. The refrigerator was extremely loud. There was a truck unloading outside that was loud. And mysterious noise from bathroom pipes. We were kept awake for most of the night. There were only 2 pillows and they weren’t great either. Remodeling going on in lobby area. Not a great hotel at all. Would not stay again. Definitely not representative of a Hampton Inn.
Buen desayuno
Precio tan alto
Was good, hot and fresh
1 elevator was out of service and other was very slow
Nothing
The cleanliness and maintenance of this hotel is horrible. The bathtub in my room had standing water with hair in it. The desk clerk had to call the manager about what to do. Was instructed to call maintenance guy. (This was on Friday afternoon). Desk clerk was unable to contact maintenance person. I refused to stay in this hotel and scrambled to find a reservation at another near-by hotel. Still haven't received a refund for my pre- paid reservation.
Our TV greeting
Everything was perfect
The room was decent, and the breakfast was pretty good. They had a variety of hot foods and cold during our 6-day stay, so it wasn't exactly the same thing every morning. However, of the 5 days that we left in the morning and returned at night, housekeeping only tidied the room twice. We had the Do Not Disturb sign out the first day, but then on the remaining four days, they only came in to tidy and refresh the towels twice (for a family of four). And even then, they didn't refill the shampoo in the shower, so we had to ask at the front desk for shampoo and toilet paper. It was a decent stay, but we would not return based on the lack of service.
The exceptional responsive staff, open and friendly.
One elevator was down and the other was up/down several times during our stay. My wife in a wheelchair made it scary being on the 3rd floor. Upper management needs to take this VERY seriously and fix the problem. For a 6 floor facility, this is a disaster waiting to happen.
The location. It was clean
It seemed old and a bit worn down
Easy access and convenient
Pretty minimal rooms. Seemed worn. A tear in our bedspread and a torn shower curtain
Unbeknownst to me until after I checked into my room, this hotel is transitioning from a Hampton Inn to a "Spark" hotel--still owned by Hilton. That explains why the room had hardwood floors and very simple, minimalist furniture. A pleasant surprise was an extra large T.V. (60-inch+ ?). Overall, the room was very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. However, it had no area rug, leaving a "cold" feeling to the room. The online T.V. channel guide was incomplete, forcing channel "surfing" to see what was on. Also, most important, the shower had extremely weak water flow/pressure. The morning continental breakfast was mediocre. Given these "pluses" and "minuses", the room may still be a good value (cost-wise), OTHER than for the weak shower. Because of that (and not liking hardwood floors), I will not plan to stay here again. As a former Hilton Diamond member (now Gold), I've seen a lot of Hilton hotels. Hilton's new line of Spark hotels may bring in the budget-conscious traveler, but I will continue to opt for the nicer Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden hotels. One more thing--I may stop writing reviews (other than for extremely poor or good hotels) as I'm not convinced Hilton really appreciates them or takes any corrective actions. (I know this in part after having re-visited some hotels in which nothing seems to have changed.) However, I hope any reviews I've done, or very selectively will do in the future, will help travelers in their hotel choice.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice seating area in the lobby, stairs to get from front door to parking, which is not always ideal with luggage.
Elevators were really slow and the pool is outdoor wasn't open. Breakfast was okay, TV was on and super loud during breakfast.
The breakfast was good. Plenty of places to sit and eat.
How helpful your staff was.
Having to switch rooms being we could not get cold water in the bathroom, the bathroom door didn't latch.
Clean, comfortable, good breakfast
Parking can be challenging
The staff help accommodate my special needs child
Builbs in the lamps were too yellow. Seems pety but its a bad look.
Good breakfast comfy room friendly staff
I wish there was a hot tub
This staff was friendly and helpful
I understand each property has their own policy on damage deposits, when going through Booking.com for my two rooms, I was told that there would be no extra charge upon arriving to the property. I was charged $200 per room for a damaged deposit. I am glad that I had the money and if I hadn’t, would, I have been turned away? There should be more information accessible when it comes to stuff like that.
The room appeared to be freshly painted. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the blanket actually came up far enough to cover our shoulders!
Everything was great!
Clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast.
Who in the HELL allows CONSTRUCTION on Sunday 8:45am in a room above a booked room and start hammering on the floor!???!!!!! No matter what you do or have, it all goes out the window when staff cannot quadrate work on a hotel ON A SUNDAY MORNING with empty rooms. Do better.
Much better than the last time we were there. We were given a corner room on the top floor with great views. The remodeling is still going on, but at least we had hot water this time. Very comfortable bed!
The remodel didn’t include new shower trays. Sad that everything was new except those, but I guess they couldn’t find new ones that fit. Paint was already peeling off the door to the bathroom. Coffee was very poor in the room. They need a list of TV channels because the guide didn’t match up to the channels.
I liked that they have friendly staff, nice TV, and a nice breakfast.
I didn't like that the shower gets very hot and I couldn't lower the temperature much.
Ease of access
Rude front desk. Nothing stood out
For the price we hoped for a hot tub and a fan in the bathroom.
Breakfast was great
Too cold to use pool
El desayuno muy bueno y variedad!
Los colchones deben ser muy viejos, a mi gusto estaban muy aguados
The staff was very helpful and the ability to do laundry in peace
The location is convenient to the places I was visiting.
The front desk receptionist checked me in with a wad of tissue stuck up his nose and a generally unkempt appearance. I suspected a human trafficking incident in the same corridor as my hotel room. All the trims and furnishings in my room were worn, peeling, stained, or missing.
No recibí, mis dos depósitos de dos habitaciones que renté. Y el personal de front desk, no resolvió el problema. Solamente ignoraron mi inconformidad
Location
A little dated
Breakfast basically OK but nothing to write home about. Very little food with fiber in it. The main value was proximity to where I needed to be next morning.
1. WiFi did not work 2. Land line did not work 3. No cold water to the shower. Shower water was almost enough to scald. 4. The morning check out guy did not care at all, and did not offer to help. 5. The promo information said they had a shuttle, which was parked outside. The morning guy said they don't use it so I had to take an Uber in the morning. 6. I asked for a room far from the elevator. The room assigned to me was two doors away from the elevator.
There is a known problem of the water in some of the rooms being so hot you can barely shower. Ended up moving hotels cause the water was so hot we couldn’t bathe our child. Tv was finicky on working. Place was under construction. Overall just not happy
The property is undergoing a remodel which is needed. It was dated & could use an upgrade. The bed was squeaky but okay. I've stayed at the Sheraton & HomeSuites by Hilton both in Lakewood. Both were very nice but a little pricey.
The bed & shower. Both are dated.
We stay here a lot when attending functions for my daughter that attends Colorado Christian university. Great location, great breakfast, clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.
Good location and breakfast
Walking distance to the train to Denver and to the bus to Golden, which is exactly what I needed since I wasn’t driving. The second room I was assigned (see below) was reasonably clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
The room I was originally assigned had a terrible old cigarette stench, thankfully the staff helped me move to a different room. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was constantly on and pretty loud unless the door was closed. Breakfast was just okay, but you’re only provided paper plates and cups and plastic cutlery, which is wasteful and inconvenient.
I like the location to the hospital where I was staying. I could walk back and forth easily.
I had to pay a lot more. The first night I was there because I did not book through them and they give a hospital discount.
Breakfast was fine. I am glad there was variety of food. Coffee was good. I liked that water, tea, and coffee were available at all times. The staff was accomidating and gave us options. The room was clean.
First, upon the check-in we didn't have a room we reserved. We were offered another room, but it smelled bad. We were informed that room hopefully will be available the next day and hotel is very busy. We stay in the first room because we were very tired after traveling all day. Next day, we got a different room but the sofa bed was old and the matress was terrible. We ended up getting a room with 2 queen beds, and it was okay. There was a construction in the hotel. That fact was not mentioned previously. Some areas liooked newer but other parts seen it's better days. The hotel had issues with water the day we arrived. I know the staff can't control it but people smoked pot on our floor. Smell was strong at time.
Chambre très confortable
Eau dans la douche , trop chaude ou trop froide
The friendly staff and location
The fact our room had NO COLD WATER not even toilet it was hot I told front desk I think they have it connected to hot not cold felt steam seat was bubbled and warped condensation everywhere dirty bathroom mold ! Mattresses were the WORST ever!!! Will NEVER stay here again!!!!
Struttura pulita staff camera spaziosa la colazione non è un granché
Ok
Room was too small .
For the years I’ve been patronizing Hampton Inns when I travel for business, I’ve watched them go down and down and down. This one is no difference: they do have a [cold] pool and a convenient quiet location. They also have very noisy personnel, having loud discussions in foreign languages in the corridors, lack of anything that you might need in the room, like something to write with and notepad, very slippery bath tub and really poor breakfast consisting of fried substitute eggs with fried bread and fried potatoes for sides. Time to find another chain for travel.
