Hyatt House Denver Lakewood Belmar

Lance, the General Manager, was outstanding. Very personable and accommodating, going above and beyond. Many of the other staff members were also very helpful and pleasant. We liked being able to see the mountain range from our window, and it was nice to be able to walk through the neighborhood with many interesting stores and restaurants. We also appreciated the complementary breakfast buffet, which always had many good choices available. Parking was also easy and convenient. It was great having a Target with a CVS right next door! We really liked having a kitchenette in our unit! Even though we didn't cook, we appreciated having the extra sink and access to utensils and cups!

The pool could have been a bit cleaner, and every time we used it, there were very loud and boisterous young people there, so it wasn't very relaxing. Not that you could have done much about that. It's just a reflection of the culture we live in now! No respect for others. We forgot to mention to staff that the dishwasher in our unit was not installed completely. When you open the door, the whole thing tips forward out of the mounting. I think we were in #5011.

This is by far the best property, I've ever stayed. The staff is outstanding the facilities are excellent. I am lóoking forward at staying over there again soon.

I had an issue with the window shades; weather I didn't know how to use them or they did not work; I was not able to bring the down there were workers on the other side ,and the sun hits directly on the windows .

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Breakfast was outstanding, and the location was absolutely perfect. So many restaurants and shops within walking distance!

It was odd to have to stand in a cold shower to reach the controls and wait for it to warm up.

Great place to stay, close to eateries, shopping and activities with a great price. Rooms were clean, and I couldn't hear noise from other guests.

My 3rd time staying here when I come to Denver. It is very clean, great staff and wonderful location! Would not even consider staying somewhere else.

Don’t bother. Service fails. Deceptive marketing. Horrible service. Terrible housekeeping. Dirty rooms . Bad ac, failing fridges, too few towels, terrible bar… with staff that just disappear… so even when ‘open’ no service. Hyatt loyalty members - not acknowledged. Really. Stay anywhere else.

Good quite location in downtown area

Just hard finding a parking space at times , because it shares parking with Target, but Target has a big parking structure area for the store but people still use outside parking

This hotel is in a lovely neighborhood with many amenities nearby. But, more importantly, it was so very clean, which made for a relaxing stay. I applaud the staff for making this such a good experience. Every employee I encountered was friendly. The morning breakfast was nicely prepared and generous in selection. We will return.

Terrible rooms, and not clean at all. They also skipped cleaning rooms. Food service also not as great. Not very well staffed! Extremely slow elevators, half of time filled with housekeeping carts. WiFi is nonexistent at night time

Amazing hotel... we had a very spacious room with a full kitchenette and separate sleeping/living areas. One of the best continental breakfasts I've ever seen. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, steel-cut oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, the list goes on and on....The outdoor patio area is the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the evening. A staff member got the fire going for us, and we hung out there for a few hours every night. Lots of great restaurants within a couple of blocks, including Mexican and Japanese options, plus a great upscale sports bar called The Great Divide. Even better, there's an In-N-Out Burger about a 5-minute walk away. This is now my go-to place to stay in Denver.

My only complaint is that the hotel doesn't have coffee available in the lobby outside of the breakfast hours. I think it would be a nice touch to keep some fresh coffee/tea available for guests. Also, the pool is great, but there is no hot tub.

Staff was friendly, and the room was very clean. The continental breakfast had a lot of good options including healthy ones and the food was good. It was nice that it was located in the middle of a shopping district. There were many delicious restaurants that you could easily walk to and a Target next door which is handy for any forgotten items.

We didn’t like the lack of privacy the bathroom offered with the sliding door. It had a gap and no privacy or sound barrier between bathroom and sleeping area. Also no exhaust fan in bath created uncomfortable conditions for the rest of the room

We stayed at 2 different hotels during our vacation in Denver and this was by far the hotel that my family felt at home in most. The staff were so accommodating and kind and the location is great for a family.

This was our 4th stay. The staff are always very nice and accommodating. Shout out to bartenders Cherish and Gwendolyn as well as the front desk manager Lance. The hotel and rooms were super clean. Having fresh bottled water daily is a plus as a globalist. The location is perfect with lots of shopping and dining options all within a few minutes walk. We will definitely be back again!!

Parking on Saturday night was a bit frustrating, but that was expected as we're right next to a Target.

This establishment is very clean, room and building was very tidy and clean. The staff was very helpful and kind. The area of this hotel is perfect for any occasion. We went as a family of 4, and had everything we needed within walking distance. Sushi, steak, drinks, ice cream all within a 3 block radius and even a target across the parking lot. The area around the hotel was very clean and well kept as well. Could tell this was a very nice high end side of town. We will definitely be booking another trip there soon and staying again :) Only thing i wish they had, was a hot tub.

Great hotel that exceeded expectations and the proximity was all in walking distance to shopping and restaurants which made for a phenomenal experience with children under 18.

I genuinely want to spare others what I went through at this hotel. Do NOT stay in this hotel unless you sleep like a rock! This is seriously the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. It is SO overpriced considering it must have zero insulation. You will hear your neighbors conversations, your neighbors walking around, your neighbors doors slamming, your neighbors TV, your neighbors alarm. And I don't just mean one neighbor. You'll hear aaaaall the neighbors. And the road noise. It sounded like someone was drag racing all night long. Oh, and this is with earplugs plus a headband over them. I stayed here for school and was seriously concerned that I wouldn't be able to manage the class I was taking because I was sleeping so poorly. This would mean a delayed graduation of at least a year. This is the second time I've stayed here, so I guess I should have known better. The first time wasn't quite so bad, as they ended up putting me on the 6th floor. Even there it was noisy though. Oh, and if they put you above the restaurant/outside dining area...I am so sorry. I have never returned from a trip so depleted. I've traveled for work before and stayed in Hyatt hotels, but I would be extremely hesitant to book at a Hyatt after this experience.

Located in a busy retail area, the parking lot is shared with Target, restaurants and businesses are within walking distance. It’s not too noisy. The rooms are a good size. We had a nice kitchenette. Bathroom is typical Hyatt Place size, nothing fancy and functional. Not a lot of mirrors. One in the bathroom and one when you first walk in but not a full length mirror. Staff is really friendly. Free breakfast offered.

Hotel in great condition, very large room with full kitchen. Wifi worked great, nice breakfast. The street noise was noticeable.

Clean and well maintained with ample parking, close to restaurants and shopping. All necessities are easily obtainable with a short walk.

Location is in a Target parking lot. No views of the mountains or anything (blocked by another building). No hand soap was provided even when requested (they said they were out). Room A/C was very loud. Room decor and furnishing was nothing special, sort of drab and gray with a small TV. Can hear through the walls easily.

The breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The rooms were very clean and equipped nicely with all the kitchen necessities.

Parking gets full fast since there doesnt seem to be enough space. I wish I had a better view of the mountain and less view of the Target.

Hotel was great and clean. However, do not stay in room 217. From 9am - 5pm they do laundry and it sounds like a helicopter. Very disruptive and annoying.

Clean rooms

Please double-check that the room you receive matches the room you booked. In my case, I booked and paid for a King Studio Suite with Kitchen and Sofa Bed, which should have 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed. However, when I checked in, I was given a King Room with only 1 king bed. For a family with two small children, this was not suitable and caused a lot of inconvenience. At check-in, after payment, the front desk did not tell me there was any room change. I only noticed the problem after I entered the room and checked my booking again. After that, I had to go back to the front desk and discuss the issue several times before I got a more reasonable solution. First, the hotel said I could get a full refund. But it was already around 6 PM, we had two small children with us, and I had work the next day, so finding another hotel was not realistic. Second, after I said this was not acceptable, the hotel offered 5,000 Hyatt points. I was also told that if I had not been a Hyatt member, this option would not have been available. Third, I explained again that the room was not suitable for four people, and I suggested changing rooms the next day. The hotel agreed. Fourth, I also said that I should not pay the King Studio Suite rate while staying in a King Room. The final offer was a $10 discount per day. In the end, I do not think I received fair compensation for the inconvenience and the room mismatch. Most of the staff were polite and kind, but I was disappointed with the management and the way this situation was handled. Before staying at this hotel, I strongly suggest checking that the actual room type, bed setup, and number of guests match your booking, especially before you finish check-in and payment.

The super thin covers in the room. The pillows were way to soft. Not firm at all. The pool smelled! We smelled after we got out of it.

What a fun area to stay, lots of restaurants in walking distance and having the Target right there is very convenient. They are undergoing renovations so there were some disruptions...for instance the fitness center wasn't available during my short stay; so that was a bummer and the reason I can't leave a 5 star review. There are also other little quirks others have mentioned like sharing the parking lot with Target and figuring out where exactly the entrance is. But it was overall a great stay, my studio was super spacious, clean and well organized. Tons of storage space! Breakfast was delicious with plenty options. I do plan to stay here again!

Breakfast was okay but some more non-pork meat options would be appreciated like turkey or chicken sausage. The lightening in the room had awkward controls.

No working lights in bedroom. Spoke to staff which never fixed it. Had to use my cellphone light at night to walk around room. Sinks overflowing. TV flickered throughout the night even though it was off. Couldn't unplug it becuase its bolted to the wall, so kept waking up at night.

Would like if they had coffee in the lobby all day. Low budget hotels do why not Hyatt

Breakfast was great. We also used the pool which was very well maintained. Security at the hotel is also very seriously taken. Parking was also easy and plentiful.

Nice clean hotel with comfy rooms and great breakfast! Location is superb within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants and target.

After a long trip I realized I my room had not gotten confirmed. When I went to the front desk Candace explained the room available online actually was not avaliable and they only had one room left. She was super helpful walking me through the process and very patient. My phone had died and she was happy to put a hold on our setting up while it charged. 100% will be making this my regular hotel for my CO trips. It was my first time traveling solo and it could have been a horrible experience but she made it easy and stress free.

There was no towels in the swim area. they charged me a 200 fee for no reason. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it. There was no ice tray to get ice the room had stains on the floor. The hotel staff is absolutely awful. There was four kids that belonged to a staff member in the pool area alone running around splashing and jumping in all 4 at the same time. The room says 516 square ft the room was maybe 300 no way it was that big so they are scamming people on the room size!!

It's not far from my house so I could go home

The hotel was so loud we usually celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas morning here and it's never this bad banging all night. No toilet paper in our bathroom. 6 people requested and only 2 towels in the room. Bedding looked so dingy and old. The shower is chipped and gross. The pool was discolored. Couldn't sleep no extra blankets or pillows . Went for breakfast at 830 and there was nothing left and no bacon they said they ran out ??? The food is awful I don't believe a homeless person would want to eat what they had left.

The parking lot is small and shared with a Target store. Also, we didn't get the large 2 room suite that we paid for. We were downgraded to a much smaller room without notice. But they still charged us for the large room that we booked. Poor management.

I stay here regularly because it is near my daughter’s home. I love the Belmar area and the breakfast is very good.

Beautiful common areas, large and well appointed rooms. Love the kitchens in the rooms with full size fridge.

Only issue was with shortage of hot water, which was rectified.

The hotels located in a Charming part of the Denver Lakewood area. Lots of shops nearby and hotel security is very good. You must have a room key in order to enter the exterior doors. The room had a nice large bed with a sitting area, mini fridge, coffee maker, and a microwave. The bed was a little bit too firm for my liking, but I did like my room overall. It was a quiet hotel. The hotel is also pet friendly as I brought my dog on my trip. The bathroom was large with a wonderful sized shower. There is also quite a bit to choose from with the complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
