It was clean and basic.
Impossible to contact pre arrival Waited ages to check in and no apology Staff were doing their best but long wait times, warm white wine, no wine glasses etc. - management obviously don't care
The room we had was quiet .it was clean and bed and shower ok. I would praise the staff on reception they were always very helpful, kind and considerate.
I originally booked this as a SPA treat for my best friends birthday x I would use the word SPA very loosely.it definitely lacked any ambiance! It was like a leisure centre pool. The water was lovely and warm but the surroundings were definitely in need of a good clean and and a coat of paint.. The lockers didn't have any locks on them and because there was no safe in the room, gad to take money, phone etc with us in a bag to poolside which was not great as couldn't relax. You are allowed to take your own padlock but we didn't know. You also gad to walk past reception to get from changing room to pool which was not ideal. The bar and restaurant. No beer on pumps, but said it was getting sorted. Didn't bother us as we had gin... in a wine glass! Noo gin ones available. The food when we eventually got it was absolutely lovely, but had to wait about 40 minutes as they ran out of chips ! I settled for saute potatoes, and they were lovely. The one girl who worked in the restaurant and also did the bar was lovely and really helpful, the 2 lads ! Well! May have been new ...
Comfortable beds. The staff. Bedrooms spacious
Location next to a very run down estate seemed odd
Good facilities and location friendly staff
Not enough staff generally . breakfast was not great Freezing ac in the dining room No bacon tomatoes or mushrooms so a full English consists of scrambled egg and a sausage No white bread and what was there was not very fresh Tiny cold croissants Evening meals are expensive
Close to the M5, comfortable bed, quiet room, great breakfast
The staff top class
Nothing
Spa facilities excellent as were rooms and value for money
Everything was amazing
The steam room was ok
Hotel was grubby. Staff a little uninterested. The bar had no beer. The room I booked 1 hour before was not available. The hotel charged me for breakfast even though it was included within my stay. They then did not refund the charge. The parking was confusing and I only escaped paying by investigating the tablet at reception. Nobody indicated I should register my registration plate and the sign outside indicated to pay for parking on arrival. The hotel was clearly interested in taking money, but not in service. The swimming pool was unattended. The sauna was not working. The changing room location meant wer swimmers were walking through the reception of the spa. It was not great.
the room and the fitness facilities
It is off putting to charge for parking. Surely residents should park free.
central location
bar had no draught beer from the pump for the duration of our stay
Very dissapointing stay overall.
Car parking is via an external company and you can not get a VAT receipt. The restaurant food was very poor and again No VAT receipt available. Bar drinks selection very limited. Swimming area various water featured not working. 2nd floor lobby area had a distinct smell of drainage. Shower curtain and hose in mouldy condition. Again NO VAT invoice available at checkout.
That pool is included when booked Nice breakfast and comfy beds
Bar was out of quite a few drinks
Lovely hotel. Arrived very late 0200hrs and was well looked after by staff. Really helped our long journey to break it up at this hotel
Nothing
Facilities pool and leisure Large bed
Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast.
No draught beer available!
Friendly staff, spacious room
Signs of mould in the bathroom and facilities in the swimming area were out of order.
Black mould on the shower curtains. No draught beer No fresh fruit No pastries No wine. No mushrooms No grilled tomato
Parking app, when hotel.said didnt need to pay, room very noisy, had to order food in bar, no.service in restaurant,
Spa was nice. Good location. Beds were comfortable.
Squeaky floor in our room annoying.
The staff were friendly and polite
The housekeeping was lacking the place was filthy dust inches thick cobwebs on walls filthy shower curtain and even the previous guests socks just casually laid out on the floor in a word disgusting
Leisure facilities
Food
Our room wasn’t cleaned properly there was empty pringles underneath our bed… when we went to the spa there was an annoying draining sound like water was being emptied, in the pool? wasn’t relaxing at all
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms . Good breakfast
Staff initially asked for £20 for an early check in, however they kindly changed this and didn't charge us. Water pressure was too low to have a shower in the morning
Spa area
Gone terribly downhill since our last stays- we've been twice before and it was great. This time, after bringing my parents, my dad had to get out his wheelchair as staff weren't aware of disabled access. Across our 3 rooms, we experienced: electric not working, dust on floor, cbwebs in the corner, curtains falling off track. Sewage smell on landing. Breakfast was cold with sausages and hash browns cold inside. We were offered a free stay after complaining but it was so bad, we wouldn't go back. New management clearly have no clue how to run a hotel.
Room was a good size and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was ok for a 4 star hotel.
The first night we booked an evening dinner and it was appalling. We ordered chicken and mushroom pie with roasted carrots. The pie was Chicken and leek and the carrots were not roasted. The pastry was soggy. It was way below 4 star catering. There was also an event on that was very loud and kept us awake for hours
Zwembad goed verwarmd. En groot zwembad
Zwembad en fitness werkte niet goed samen met hotel op het gebied van handdoeken. Ligging niet echt goed
The purpose of my visit was to see family so I didn’t eat at hotel.
Bathroom although very clean the seals needing redoing. The carpet needed a deep clean in places.
The pool facilities as part of the hotel stay were the best part of this hotel. comfortable bed but expected in any hotel
Both of our hotel rooms smelt of an unpleasant cooking smell. The staff were not very helpful and did not offer any evening meal or breakfast options they just said you need to pay for your parking. The bar had a sign up saying technical issues with serving any draught drinks and no staff members to even order their alternative expensive bottles of beer.
It’s a bed for the night x that’s all x
Nothing in particular just needs refreshing and is basic
The room was fine, we have stayed before so knew what to expect.
It would be nice to have a bottle of water in the room, especially as the vending machine was out of order so we couldn’t get any from there. We had breakfast in the restaurant- full English on the first day. It was quite basic, sausages were quite unpleasant and mushrooms were shrivelled. We had continental breakfast on the second day which was ok. We had a drink in the bar on Saturday evening but there were no draught beers available (same as when we stayed previously). The corridor leading to our room smelt quite unpleasant, not sure if it was a cleaning product.
The hotel was clean
The room was very tired. No air con, very questionable floorboard which you needed to walk around or you would fall through it. No fridge in the room. Very poorly stocked bar, everything we enquired about had sold out, which is very poor for a weekend, and the vending machine was out of use.
Staff friendly. Food was good. Quiet location. Arrived to late to use other facilities such as pool/spa
Could have been cleaner. Area like round the sink, under the plug. Also patches not covered ? Leaks. A little tired. Fire doors left open with little security and were not closed by the time I returned to room. When I arrived curtains closed. Luckily checked before sleeping. Both windows wide open and was on the ground floor. Windows were difficult to lock.
Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Especially lady at breakfast. Room was lovely . Great value for money. Very clean. Lovely pool.
Location
Floor boards were rotten so very noisy from all directions. Parking extra payment. Terrible quality food, unchewable steak . Uncooked chicken.
Friendly staff - Jamil Very clean room with a window you could open.
Bathroom had a little mould on the mastic but it’s being picky.
We had and booked a hotel suit when arriving they said it was not fit to stay in. We was then offered 2 double rooms. That was integral. We was still not happy with that. We had no email or phone call to let us know. Still waiting for a refund ☹️
Location was great.
The jacuzzi didn't work in the pool. In our room the bathroom had a lot of mould around the bath and tiles. One of the bedside light wasn't working and it was loose fittings to the wall.
Convenient
Restaurant had nothing suitable for celiacs
Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly
Spare pillow absolutely stank, took it to staff cleaner who almost gagged when he smelt it. Toilet was not clean and tv didn't work. Moved to another room, toilet roll holder hanging off wall and once again the toilet was not clean. Bought toilet brush and cleaner to clean it myself. Some bulbs needed replacing. Have pictures of the disgusting state of toilet. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed.
Lovely location room was large and nice
Friendly and welcoming staff. Good sized room. Swimming pool was good to relax in. Steam room was excellent.
Hotel was strangely in quite a rough area. Some guests had been smoking cannabis in their rooms. Swimming pool was too small to really swim.
Couldn't check in an hour early
the staff were freindly and trying hard despite being busy
lots of small issues no draught drinks available in the bar . glassess bad been moved from the bar to the function room which caused the bar staff issues. not enough bottled drinks in stock at bar. food not great. again ran out of basic ingredients. sandwicb bought to me with no napkin to wipe my hands with after i had finished. vending machine not working . menu choice not great really no choice for snacks .
Clean, easy to find, nice gym
N/a
Very friendly staff, nice pool and leisure facilities, food was great and drinks reasonably priced, room was very clean and comfortable.
Nothing to dislike about the place.
The swimming pool was ok. The breakfast was good. And That's probably the only good things about the hotel .
The rooms were boiling and uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn't as nice as other hotels I have been too. The hotel is next to a housing estate and to park at the hotel cost £5 a day . I wouldn't rate this hotel as a 4* hotel to be honest. And I honestly wouldn't stay there again.
the strong smell of cannabis, not very friendly environment, staff not engaging, paying for the carpark
Nice family hotel
We are a large group pre booked yet they ran out of Draft, Eggs, Juice etc
We were allowed into the pool before checking in which was great for the kids. Much appreciated.
Very comfortable large bed
Carpets in hallway leading to rooms had visible stains and in that area had a strong drain odour Bathroom had mould, part of tap was broken and one of the curtains was hanging off its track.
I didn't like the standard of food, was poorly presented and over priced, the menu was different from the room to the restaurant which was disappointing
La piscine chauffée. La chambre spacieuse pour une famille de trois personnes. La propreté. La salle de bains avec de la place sur l'évier.
La vue sur le parking. Une lampe qui ne fonctionnait pas.
Free parking
The distance from my room to the spa and restaurant and no lift facilities
Pool was good
I ended up bitten, with evidence of bed bugs in the room. Reported immediately and yet still nobody has contacted me Food produce very poor quality - nearly £10 for a sandwich (which I expect to pay at a hotel so have no issue with that) but thin cheap bread. Not even an attempt to get a decent loaf from the local tesco to at least make it reasonable. Cheap food but hotel prices Shower faulty
Staff very friendly
Lack of air conditioning
Absolutely disgusting — dirty room and appalling customer service. We arrived late in the evening, looking forward to some much-needed sleep, only to find the room was unbearably hot due to a faulty radiator thermostat. Things got even worse when we pulled back the duvet and discovered that the mattress topper was heavily soiled with blood, with the staining clearly visible through the sheet. The receptionist did take the topper away when we raised it, but unfortunately there wasn’t another one available, leaving us with an extremely hard and uncomfortable mattress. We tried to make a complaint the following morning and were given an email address to contact. We have also tried calling back several times, but nobody has bothered to get back to us or properly address our complaint. For the price we paid, the condition of the room and the lack of customer service were completely unacceptable. Avoid if you expect cleanliness, comfort and decent customer service for your money.
Room is of good size and clean, located in a quiet area. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and plenty of towels available.
The hotel is a bit far from shops. I was charged £5 for car park, which is surprising as driving is the only way to get there. There are no lift, which was a bit of problem my auntie has slight mobility issues. Shower pressure was a bit low.
Staff very welcoming and helpful
Nothing really,
Was able to switch the rooms, first was dreadful.
Extremely disappointing stay. The initial room allocated to us was dreadful—it was visibly dirty, smelled disgusting, and the bathroom floor was unpleasant and sticky. Beyond the room itself, the corridors were heavily stained and had an lingering odor, giving the strong impression that the property has suffered from years of neglect without proper maintenance or upkeep. To make matters worse, the swimming pool has strict, unannounced rules regarding the last entry time. This crucial information was only disclosed to us at check-in, making it impossible to plan our evening ahead of time. Overall, the poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, and undisclosed policies made for a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here.
Leaving it.
Parking payment, room was not clean (dirty and dusty), no AC just a very old fan, no water pressure half the time so you struggled to have a shower.
The reception staff were very friendly, room needed hoovering but bathroom was very clean.
Not much. As i had a single room and did not eat at the property, icannot comment on other aspects. The room was clean, basic but ok and the bathroom was spotless!! A bit used but as its new management hopefully that will be adressed! Price for a saturday seemed a bit high, but not out of the ordinary!
Most things. Lovely hotel, staff were great, pool was great.
The food wasn’t what we expected. Breakfast was disappointing and the dinner was okay.
Having to pay for parking.
Comfy large bed. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice leisure centre with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym.
Bit out of the way and difficult to get to without a car. Hotel is getting a little tired and could do with a refresh.
Nice
Nice
Welcoming staff Safe feel for lone traveller
Furniture and decor very dated Dirty window frames inside Basic not very hot shower Expensive considering breakfast not included
After staying last year we were excited to return. On arrival it soon became clear that the hotel had new owners as instantly we could feel the level of cleanliness and customer service had diminished. We arrived at 6pm, only to be made to wait for 3 and a half hours for a room. Put in two rooms which were absolutely FILTHY, had not been cleaned in weeks. We were then moved to another room which was just as filthy. We then had to wait another hour to be put back in the same dirty room. I have attached pictures to this. The people who have taken this place over should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. The utter filth that they expect people to stay in is beyond measure. We did not even dare go for a swim the next morning as we were scared to become ill from the dirty water. We tried to find somewhere else to stay that evening but having already paid and it being 10pm at this time. We had no option but to stay. We had been promised a full refund as the whole stay from when we stepped foot in the building was an utter nightmare. Still haven’t received a penny. Please stay clear of these awful people and save your money for somewhere nice!
The only good thing about this hotel is the staff who were courteous and helpful. Even before I'd finished checking in, another guest marched to the Reception desk complaining that although he'd reported the lack of hot water to his room, no one had come to rectify the issue. When I opened the door to my room, I could see immediately that there was no chair at the desk, so I couldn't sit there to work, and when I went into the bathroom, the hair on the sink was instantly visible ( You can imagine what sort of hair..... ) It was sweltering in the room because the radiator was on, during a heatwave. On my way to the restaurant, I asked that the radiator be turned off and requested a fan. I had Traditional Fish and Chips with nothing traditional about it. No chunky chips, just awful, skinny French fries, no choice of peas, disgusting batter that I could not eat, and the actual fish was horrible. Again, the staff were doing their best, only two of them serving a large group as well as the other diners, so service was very slow, but they remained polite. When I returned to my room, nothing had been resolved. I called Reception and said I really needed a fan. A member of staff brought a fan that should not have been in use - the casing around the motor was hanging off. A safety inspection fail. The next morning, I tried to run a shower but the water could not be diverted from the bath to the shower because the diverter knob came off in my hand. The buffet breakfast offered very limited choice and didn't taste good. The orange juice dispenser clearly showed a layer of orange water at the top and concentrate below. I wasn't tempted to taste it. I've never before stayed in a hotel so completely unfit for purpose.
Pool
Lack of information, 10% service charge in restaurant, no draft beers. Noise room (219). Water in radiators or toilet continual 247. Booking .vom were phoned for Breakfast to be added to booking, after being pushed from one person to another, we were told it had been added, IT HAD NOT.
Everything
No air con
Pleasant greeting at Reception and Nayim was particularly helpful. Pleasant, clean, well-equipped room with a comfortable bed. The Leisure Facilities were outstanding.
The restaurant was closed but a good meal was served in the bar. Food was good, but the drinks were incredibly expensive.
Pool was a bonus
Bed was firm, radiator was on and 28 degrees
Good location smartly presented
Food was very poor worst prawn cocktail I have ever had, breakfast orange juice was watered down squash ! , serving staff were inexperienced didn’t clean away used drink and plates etc
My room was unacceptable, damp and black mould but they moved me without question. New room was very comfortable and much cleaner.
I do understand that rooms don't need full attention every day however rubbish should be removed daily not every 3rd day.
Swimming pool, steam room
Parking - was surprised to find that parking is charged at £5 per night! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so can only be reached by car, yet an extra £5 per night is charged for parking! Surely, parking should be free and included in the hotel fees
See my previous review. Having left my feedback and after that, being told I should chase THEM for a resolution is insanity. A reputable company would've gone out there way to contact me.
Breakfast
Location o
was nice to have an easily accessible spa and gym.
Breakfast was poor, bar was expensive, wifi was not good throughout most of the communal areas.
The room was nice, very well priced. The pool was an added bonus and no extra charge.
The food was disappointing. Menu more limited than advert
Location.
Shower was not good. Latch to swap from bath to shower was broken. Disappointed that we couldn't get food after 8 pm after arriving later than expected. Had to go out to get food as restaurant was closed. Was tired after a long day, just wanted a shower and food.
The location. You have to pay for parking which isn’t explained before hand. Swimming times for kids. Wasn’t explained in the description that kids can only access the pool during set times. Outdated Shower pressure very poor. Shower curtain was dirty / stained
Very dated hotel needs a proper refurb ! Breakfast was very poor and you have to pay for parking ! No local amenities, and it’s practically in the middle of a housing estate. No wonder it’s on wowcher
Disappointing start as we found after booking that parking was an extra £5/night, this I put down to Expedia's poor search function. Other than a money making racket I can see no reason for carparking charges, as there is nothing around that could take advantage. Check in was easy with staff friendly and helpful throughout, although service at the bar was very slow. Rooms where clean and spacious, hot water took some time to come through but the shower was good. A fridge in the room would have been appreciated. The pool was good with adjacent facilities, no locks in locker room though. Overall the hotel was well looked after but one or two places could do with a tidy up. The breakfast, however was the worst I have ever had in a hotel. We paid in the morning at a cost of £17/person, reasonable supply of cereal, unlimited coffee from a machine, various types available, but all taste the same. Decent amount of yoghurt matched with a meagre array of fruit. The cooked breakfast was, well, we arrived about 9 and there was a fair amount available. Eggs where 'fried' and slimy, watery mushrooms, tasty sausage, bacon could have been nice had it been cooked better. The hash browns where cold, as if they had just been left to defrost and put out ! Only did it the once !
very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. spa and pool was amazing!!
The bar is extremely pricey. No fault of the hotel they use third party bar they need to change that.
Location
Needs revamping , looks a bit tired the hotel
Having travelled with a local coach company previously, we expected a well-organised and enjoyable holiday. Instead, this proved to be one of the most poorly managed and disappointing trips we have ever experienced. From conversations with our fellow passengers, we know we are not alone in our frustration. We fully expect numerous complaints from others on this coach. Before detailing the issues with the hotel, we wish to make it clear that we have no criticism whatsoever of our driver. He did everything possible under very difficult circumstances. Despite severe delays caused by road traffic accidents and a lack of suitable stops, he kept the hotel informed of our estimated arrival time and was assured everything would be ready. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. Our main complaints are detailed below: * Arrival and Reception: There was no organised reception upon our arrival. No staff were available to allocate rooms, explain meal arrangements, or assist passengers. Envelopes containing room allocations and key cards were simply left on the reception desk for passengers to distribute amongst themselves. * Room Condition and Housekeeping: The first room allocated to us had not been serviced after the previous occupants departed and was entirely uninhabitable. While we were moved, the second room was also unacceptable. The bathroom floor was covered in urine spots, and every surface—including the carpet and furniture—was thick with dust. The radiator and a faulty room fan were heavily clogged with dust; despite reporting the fan, it was never replaced. Throughout our stay, the room was never vacuumed, cups were not washed, and housekeeping was virtually non-existent. * Public Areas: The floor of the gentlemen's public toilet was covered in dried urine and was not cleaned once during our entire stay. * Catering and Service: The food was exceptionally poor. The roast pork served on the first evening was virtually raw, cut too thick, and inedible. The roast lamb on a subsequent evening was equally tough and undercooked. Furthermore, restaurant service was painfully slow, with unreasonable delays between courses.
the only thing that was comforting was the mattress
TV didn't work, the radiator was on in the bathroom the whole time and could not switch off, the bath had mold in it. The amount i paid to stay here for one night plus car park was crazy for what it was
Helpful staff on reception. Air conditioning welcome in the hotel reception area. This hotel has new owners since we were last here and, back then, the staff on reception were great as well.
The rooms were sweltering hot! No air conditioning and the windows only opened about two inches. We were supplied with fans but they were too noisy to use overnight. I had no sleep at all on the night we stayed. So very uncomfortable. A mobile phone mast outside and close to the window did not help. We were in room 234. My son was in room 237 which was incredibly hot, hotter than ours! The rooms close to reception area are much better, i.e. rooms 101 onwards. The restaurant was very quiet, no customers at all. I spotted one customer at breakfast. When we stayed previously, the restaurant was full and buzzing. Not now.
I stayed here for 3 nights and I have to say it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We were late arriving as the coach was delayed due to traffic jams so we didn't arrive until 6 p.m. There was no one to greet us at reception. All we were given was an envelope with our name on and told to find our own way to the room. There was no porterage for the suitcases and as I am 83 years old I had great difficulty in getting it to my room. The curtains in the room were black and the paint on the windowsill was black and mouldy. There was no bin in the bathroom or the bedroom and no mug for a toothbrush and toothpaste. The room was not cleaned or the bed made while I was there. There was a severe infringement of health and safety regulations as there was no information on the door about what to do in an emergency i.e. in case of fire. Mealtimes were horrendous. No organisation and the food for the most part was inedible. Several of the other guests went to bed hungry. I had to pay a very high rate for my room because I was on my own. The TV would not work and despite complaining nothing was done about it. Other guests had no TV either and some had broken furniture in their rooms. On the morning of departure the coach driver was told that help would be available to help him load the suitcases. No one materialised. All in all the is the worst trip I have ever been on and I will certainly inform my friends to avoid the hotel at all costs.
I go there once a month I love it
The reception staff the lady on duty was extremely rude I had asked to check in early and she still made me wait until 3pm
Clean rooms
Outside areas dirty, fan used for cooling very poor, shower water pressure very poor, breakfast awful, self service, overcooked with being under heat lamps, when I asked for freshly cooked eggs they produced another batch of overcooked fried eggs that had been under a heat lamps, their was no hygiene awareness as the bread that was refilled was done with uncovered hands, their cook walked into the dining room and looked unprofessional and looked as he lived on the streets , very expensive experience for what you go, even had to pay for parking, I did complain and got a slight refund
Large rooms
Their Wi-Fi was down when we arrived, they couldn't access the room booking system, we didn't get the rooms that we booked. No air conditioning in the bedrooms
The rooms were nice and large. They said that there were shower robes in rooms we didnt have any.
No A/C in rooms. Some rooms had fans but ours didn't. I asked at the reception if we could have a fan as the room was very hot but he said that they didn't have any. Im sure that there were empty rooms at the hotel that weekend they could of checked but he didnt offer to check. Very disappointed 😞
Its very clean
It was very hot. Windows were not opening
It has a gym
This is my 4th and final stay at the Robinswood. I don’t know what’s happened in the last 4 weeks, but all the usual staff have gone and been replaced by new starters that couldn’t find their way out a 1 way maze with a map. I really, really hate to say this, as it sounds incredibly poor, but having to write my name on my phone for the concierge to find my booking, after spelling it out several times, was bad enough. But we’ll touch more on this later. I arrived to find my room wasn’t a double as I’d booked but instead a double single. Annoying as it meant the bed was pulling apart if you slid into the middle or sat down on the wrong side of the bed. Whoever was in my room before, cleaner or otherwise, left all my radiators on full blast and the windows closed, during a heat wave so the room was practically a sauna as I’d walked in… There were no bottles of water, while all my previous visits had come with 2, I asked 3 times for water, every time “yes I’ll bring you some”. I never received them… And the fan they supply, as there’s no Aircon, was about as useful as a dying, asthmatic gerbil, coughing its last breath on to you from 3 meters away. Again, all during a heatwave. This was unacceptable. I complained to the front desk. They asked me what room I was in. “32” They wrote down 36. I told them 32 three more times. I do not have a speech impediment nor a thick accent of any kind. I proceeded to have to repeat myself several more times because they couldn’t understand me. The concierge was a nice enough guy, however, having someone in a customer facing, customer service role and not have a sufficient grasp of the English Language isn’t a poor reflection on me or him, it’s a poor reflection on your hotel, the managers that hired him and sets a tone for what I was to expect throughout that evening. That night, I struggled to sleep due to.
A member of staff used his pass key to gain access to my son’s room, when he was naked in the bathroom. The incident was terrible. Complained to receptionist they found it funny and did not log or report the incident to the morning staff. We did not pay for the room. On the booking it said there would be complimentary parking, they tried to charge us. Very poor service, would not recommend.

Staff
The swimming pool amenities were lovely and the staff at reception of those amenities were helpful
The staff were rude and unorganised. We waited 40 minutes for our room when we came at 5 and check in was 3, to then be give a room and when walking in someone else was already in the room. This was a serious privacy and security issue. We then waited another 40 minutes to get another room and when walking in we noticed mould all over the window, stains on the bedding and the room was full of dirt. We called booking.com, who we booked through and went to reception and explain we would like a refund we would not be staying due to security breaches and the dirt in the room. The staff member at the desk said we would get a refund through booking.com and that is all of the help he would offer. I asked for this confirmed by email I was told no. Booking.com said it would take a few hours to investigate so we went for dinner and this totalled to 5 hours of our evening wasted. At 10 we went back with booking.com on the phone to request written email of the agreement to refund and it was now the manager I was speaking to, who then said he couldn’t see an email. At this point I started recording as I knew it would be an issue, he assured us we would get a refund and asked us to stay as it was now 10:15pm and there was no availability on any other hotels. We agreed under the agreement that we would receive a refund for all of the issues. The next morning after we had left, 9am when checkout was 11, they then refused the refund to booking.com. I have since been in contact with their customer service and have been told they will be back in 48 hours. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
