Kids club was great
* Dirty Pool - Plastic cups & bags floating in the pool. * No preparation ahead - Specified that I was coming with kids yet couch bead wasn't prepared in advance, no pillows and sheets in the room, had to ask for them twice till I received them. * Breakfast staff inattentive and unprofessional - every coffee came spilled from the cup over on its plate, some didn't seem to understand English or Hebrew so when asked for something they just acted on their own accord. * Lacking facilities - No dedicated quite business place to take a Zoom meeting (was staying with kids so room was not an option, so called "business center" was separated only by curtain from the ball room which was hosting an event, was super loud and embarrassing for me on my call).
An Amazing Stay at the David Citadel – Exceptional Hotel and Wonderful Staff Our stay at the David Citadel in Jerusalem was truly wonderful, and overall, our experience was exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is incredible, and there is something special about the atmosphere from the moment you arrive. But what really stood out to us was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The level of service throughout the hotel was outstanding. After long and busy days in Jerusalem, it was wonderful to come back to the David Citadel. The common areas are beautiful, the hotel is extremely well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. It really felt like a special place to stay while visiting Jerusalem. There was only one significant issue during our stay. We were in room 945, and unfortunately, the mattress appeared to be broken or damaged on one side. It made sleeping quite uncomfortable, and I was not able to sleep properly. I did not report it while we were there. Between jet lag and very busy days, I was simply too exhausted to deal with having someone come look at it or potentially changing rooms. I certainly don't fault the staff for not addressing something they didn't know about. In fact, based on the exceptional service we received everywhere else in the hotel, I have no doubt that had I brought it to their attention, they would have done everything possible to resolve it. I mention it now because I hope the hotel will check the mattress in room 945 and replace it if necessary so the next guest doesn't have the same experience. It was really the only negative part of an otherwise amazing stay. Aside from that issue, I cannot say enough good things about the David Citadel. The hotel, the location, the atmosphere, and especially the people were fantastic. The staff helped make our time in Jerusalem even more memorable. I also want to give special recognition to Nawem A. Sway, who helped us toward the end of our stay. He was incredibly helpful and kind, and the way he took care of us was another great example of the exceptional service we experienced throughout the hotel. We truly appreciated his help and wanted to make sure he was personally recognized. We left with wonderful memories and an overwhelmingly positive impression of the David Citadel. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning.
Great location
Needs some tlc. Rooms need updating and staff needs to be more friendly
At every breakfast we would ask Said to make us something and when he comes back we ask him to make us something else and he did it all with a smile. Breakfast service was wonderful especially Said! Said was so nice and friendly and helpful and great with the kids. We really appreciated all of his help.
Top location, elegant and relaxing atmosphere, clean rooms with comfortable mattresses and comfy beds. Excellent value for money. Above all - the service especially at the concierge.

Hi! I just returned home after my 8th stay at the David Citadel and it never fails to be wonderful! The rooms, service and hospitality are superb. I’d like to give a shoutout to Munir- the hotel manager for always making sure when I arrive that I have what I need……Waleed, Mutaz, Said, Sameer and Saed and everyone on the staff- whether it’s breakfast or dinner in the exclusive restaurant Veranda. I’m always taken care of like a queen. Thank you to Jeremy Weiss and Ilan- the concierge. I constantly bothered them from taxis to matches to candles! Every response is with a smile and with grace! Please forgive me if I left out some names! You’re all special to me!! -Marilyn Blau

David Citadel was a fabulous venue for our family reunion, in every way! For all ages. Every facet was superb. Special shout out to our wonderful waiter Muhannad Karash!!! Sherrie Modiin
We had a wonderful family holiday at the David Citadel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. A special mention to Muhannad Keresh, who looked after us during the meals and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His warm and attentive service made a great stay even better. A fantastic hotel for a family holiday in Jerusalem, and we look forward to coming back.
My family of 5 love it here. It's a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and amenities. Shout-out to Said and the whole team at breakfast, who always make sure we have whatever we could possibly want! Thanks Said!
This hotel is my home away from home. I have been coming here for years. This stay is no different. I had a wonderful stay. Manuel Arbid is always making my stay great, and has become someone I can rely on. The fantastic breakfast team of Samer Morad and Ata Bayah always make me feel welcome. I come back for the people and the service. Phenomenal attention to detail and service.
We had a great experience at the David Citadel! The room was luxurious with gorgeous views! My son enjoyed playing in the Fun Center. The breakfast and the customer care was one of a kind! Much appreciation to Manuel and Said for making it so memorable. We can’t wait to come back again soon!
The hotel is absolutely the best you can find. The staff treats you like a king. Manuel Arvid becomes family and Said in the breakfast is literally completely at your beacon call. We love the David Citadel
We booked the hotel because of the playroom for our kids. There are a couple great hotels in the area, but the playroom is unique and made such a difference for our kids, especially over Shabbat.
David’s Citadel is a fabulous hotel. The views from the rooms are of the walls of the old city. The soaps are from Bulgaria and are delicious. It is centrally located to mamilla mall. Restaurants shopping bars and nightlife. The breakfast is generous
My family and I just spent six nights at the David Citadel, and once again it was a great experience. This wasn’t our first stay, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the staff always make us feel very welcome. A special thank you to Samir in the dining room—very friendly and attentive, and it meant a lot that he remembered us from past visits and our preferences. We also want to thank Ilan at the concierge desk. His recommendations were excellent, and his suggestion to visit the Tower of David Museum and the Night Spectacular was a highlight of our trip.
We stayed at the David Citadel Hotel expecting the level of service and hospitality that its reputation promises. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. During our stay, the hotel's halls had been rented out for private events, so there was no suitable place available for our prayer service. We were directed to pray in the large lobby area, which had been used as a dining area the previous evening. There were chairs stored in one of the nearby halls, and we simply wanted to bring out a few chairs so that the worshippers, including elderly guests, could sit comfortably. At that point, a senior manager named Michael approached us. Instead of offering assistance or looking for a simple solution, he spoke to us in an aggressive, rude, and intimidating manner. He refused to allow us to move a few chairs and even told us, "You shouldn't even be here." A hotel of this caliber should know how to treat its guests with respect. Rather than creating an unnecessary confrontation, the hotel could have simply asked two staff members to bring out a few chairs. It would have taken only a couple of minutes and would have shown basic courtesy and professionalism. Our complaint is not that the hotel hosted private events. We fully understand that. Our disappointment is with the way we were treated when we tried to find a respectful solution to a situation created by the hotel itself. Respectful hospitality is measured not only by luxurious facilities but also by the way guests are treated. Sadly, in this case, the service fell far below the standard one would expect from a five-star hotel. I sincerely hope the hotel's management reviews this incident so that future guests are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
Breakfast is delicious. Definitely one of the best hotel guest service in the country, specially from the spa’s manager Amar who was super nice and attentive. I had the best 90 minutes massage ever by Naji! Thank you guys for an unforgettable wedding anniversary!
Said you are the best ! Thanks for all ! The hotel is nice with an excelent attetion 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We are returning guest and had a wonderful time. Jeremy the head concierge was off the charts. If you’re ready for an amazing experience, this is place.
Had the best vacation there. The staff is so friendly! As we entered Ilan from concierge greeted us and helped with our bags. After I unpacked. Ilan took care of all our dinner reservations and ideas of what to go see. The hotel was clean. The food was delicious. Can't wait to go back again. Can't get better than the view of the old city from the breakfast room.

Wonderful hotel. The service is above 5 star. I forgot an item at the hotel and Jeremy, the Concierge Manager, went truly above and beyond to get it to me. In general, the concierge was extremely helpful, responding instantly and securing the perfect dining spots for us. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are big and very chic. Our view over the old city was crazy!!!! Breakfast is amazing. Location can’t be beat.
We were delighted to return to the David Citadel after such a long time. The location remains superb, the hotel felt pleasantly familiar, and it was wonderful to be back in Jerusalem. Breakfast was very good, but the service was inconsistent. Some tables received plenty of attention while ours was sometimes left waiting. More than once, staff at nearby tables were asking guests for online reviews while we were trying to get service. Reviews matter, but waiting guests should come first. There were also loud private conversations between staff in Arabic near the tables. The language was not the issue. The volume and setting were. The rooms are comfortable, although quieter air conditioning, digital controls for the temperature and lighting, and larger televisions would feel more in keeping with a five star hotel. We also noticed staff smoking near the entrance, a small detail that felt out of place at this level. We appreciated Munir, the Front Office Manager. You could see the warmth in his eyes and hear it in his laughter. He seemed genuinely happy to welcome guests. One of the bellmen, whose name I believe was Yon, also deserves a mention. He always had a warm smile and regularly asked how he could help. Before coming to Jerusalem, our concierge in Paris told us to look out for Jeremy Weiss, the new Concierge Manager, and said we would be in excellent hands. He was right. Jeremy welcomed us warmly, helped with every request and remained calm, smiling and attentive even on a very busy Friday. He noticed everyone, not only the guests at his desk, and his warmth, humour and service reminded us of some of the finest concierges we have met in Europe and Asia. He even made my wife laugh, which is no small achievement. I hope she never reads this. When we mentioned that Las Vegas was our next stop, he immediately connected us with a concierge there, which was thoughtful and extremely helpful. We hope the issues mentioned are addressed and that those who made our stay special receive the recognition they deserve. We look forward to returning.
We loved the hotel! The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Said, who was exceptionally polite, kind, and always willing to help. He made our stay even more enjoyable!
I soent several days at the David Citadel, ehoch for me is the best in Jerusalem. Rooms are great, location is great. A special shout out to Ori, from the concierge desk. Ori organized several things for me: 1) He sent my forgotten items to tel aviv at no charge after i left the hotel 2) found me a myriad of services, including manicure (who was great btw) and 3) put a bell boy at my diaposal whenever i needed it. I wish we had this kind of service at all hotels in the world. Thank you, Ori!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I especially want to recommend the service. The concierge Ilan was genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived, friendly, professional, and quick to respond. Ilan gave great recommendations for local dining and activities, arranged everything efficiently, and made sure we had the information we needed without any stress. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, it was a smooth and memorable trip, and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

I want this to say that the Concierge team is above and beyond! Ilan was great and Ori is the best, he just helped me with every single thing I needed with a smile in his face and very quick actions and answers. Thank you so much everybody. I will never forget.
Unfortunately terrible terrible experience I have never yet written a review I have always been happy at the hotels I have chosen I travel alot - I had a suite on floor 7- room smelled like a sewer all nite (spent 2 days there paying premium prices ) housekeeping was a disaster - There was old food in fridge leftover upon arrival - it stayed there till I left - Requested blanket never received Finally a towel arrived instead with attitude and eyes rolling No one ever checked to ask how is it going Half eaten apple was left there for 2 days Shower always overflowed to floor through the door I came very close to a complete slide in bathroom floor
We always stay at the David citadel hotel when we travel to israel. The service is next level. Extremely kid friendly, at breakfast the service staff have patience with all my kids request. They have an amazing playroom that my kids love. The rooms are large and clean and modern. The front desk and management are amazing, especially Munir who always helps me out and takes care of myself and family. On this trip, our return flight got canceled and rebooked for the next day and Munir made sure we were able to keep our room and not have to change rooms and that everything would be comfortable while dealing with the airlines and getting everything rebooked so this was one less thing to worry about. There is a reason the david citadel is considered one of the best hotels in Jerusalem and my stay now showed why.

Location was excellent, rooms were comfortable and immaculate. The wait staff, especially Said were extremely attentive and nice!
Said is the man!!! A great server and person!
This was my 4th year staying at the beautiful David Citadel and I always look forward it. The hotel is perfect for walking to popular sites and shopping, as well. The Junior Suite has a beautiful view of the Old City and the breakfast is delicious with so many varieties of foods. The concierge with Ilan and Ori is always a pleasure. They are so kind and helpful ready to assist me with making reservations or any other needs I may have. Overall, the David Citadel is a wonderful hotel.
Another lovely stay. Said makes a wonderful cortado. Jerusalem is the OG of OGs. Like no place on earth.
The room the pool
The way the food was set up especially on Friday night.
Breakfast with Said every morning was amazing he took care of us!
This was our 3rd stay and we continue to love this hotel. Easy luxury. Well maintained facilities, very helpful staff, very family friendly. The pool in the summer is a highlight. Plenty of shade and an amazing view of the old city while swimming in a large pool with a weekend cafe that serves the most delicious watermelon and popsicles (and an entire meat menu). There is also a kids' playroom with very nice attendants that take the time to make sure the kids have what they need to enjoy their play including lots of crayons and colored pencils for coloring/drawing, setting up the playstation, and getting us extra foosball balls when needed. The rooms are nicely appointed and the room attendants were always fast to bring extra towels or waters or whatever else we asked for. The large Israeli breakfast is exactly what you'd hope it would be and the waitstaff always makes sure you have your coffee and a chocolate milk for the kids. We have had the same waiter, Said, each time we come. He is warm and helpful with the kids and we make a point to look for him when we are there. Asal at the front desk was very helpful over multiple requests dealing with our multiple reservations. Overall this is a wonderful hotel that cares for their guests and we look forward to our next stay.

I had the most amazing experience breakfast was great and the service especially my server samer murad made the best coffee for me and cappuccino for my wife definitely worth it
I have been coming to the DC for 30 years now and here are my comments. There’s good news and bad news. The good news: as ever, the swimming pool is excellent. Open year round. Heated outdoor, 25m at its longest length. You have to get there between 7-8am if you want to swim serious laps without too many others in the pool. The fitness facility is very good but it is open to outside members and can be crowded. The level of Kashrut is mehadrin and the food is generally pretty good. The rooms are ok although there is no long hanging for long dresses in the walk through robe. The bathrooms are nice, towels good, water pressure good. I have a preference for the top floors with view of Old City so it’s never cheap but as I say, rooms are OK. So what’s the bad news? The place is looking shabbier and grottier. Now I get that it is a destination for large groups - wedding, Barmitzvah etc etc, families, kids, and that puts a lot of pressure on the public spaces but even so, there need to be more cleaners and more effort put into the maintenance of these spaces. And every now and then the beautiful Jerusalem stone grounds and facades need a pressure clean. Especially poolside. And now the really problematic thing is the reception and dining staff. Over the decades I have seen a general surliness in the mostly Arab staff. It starts at reception where good luck if you ever get greeted with a smile and a ‘welcome back!’ As if we haven’t been here literally 50 times. We arrive after 24 hours of traveling from Australia barely upright, a smile would be nice. There’s no spark, no spring in the step here. Last visit I swear the young woman at reception was looking and looking and looking at my passport so long that I had to ask her if there was a problem. There wasn’t. Still took 15 minutes to process and get a key, after waiting for 15 minutes because there were about 2 people on staff and about 4 people ahead of me. The porters are good and do their job well. (I always tip well). The cleaning staff for the rooms are good. BUT OMG the dining staff. The waiters call out to each other across the dining areas in Arabic. They cluster in areas while you wait for service. They never step aside when I am walking back from the buffet holding a plate; I have to stand back to allow them to pass, even if they aren’t even holding a tray. There are some older waiters who are courteous but the young ones, it’s as if they haven’t had any training. And on Shabbat, it’s awful. Dinner for guest of the hotel is 550 NIS. For outside guest is 650NIS. This is for dinner. Pay the same for lunch. And for this, they supply bottled still water (Italian) but if you want fizzy water, or other soda, you pay extra. Dinner is from 7pm-10pm after which the buffet is closed and they cannot wait for you to leave. Lunch is from 1.30-3.30, same urgency to get you out of there. Look, I know, it’s busy, there are a lot of ppl there for Shabbat, it is what it is. But when you are paying those prices dammit, give me fizzy mineral water! Don’t make me feel like I’m some pest if I’m lingering- and part of the reason I’m lingering is you haven’t brought me my cup of tea yet. So much of this wouldn’t be a problem if the waiters just behaved hospitably for heavens sake. The culture seems so ingrained I don’t think it can ever change. Please don’t think I haven’t given the hotel feedback on many occasions, usually when asked by some hapless new manager of guest relations who probably can’t take it either. On top of all of this, at my last visit there was a large group in the common dining room Friday night and Shabbat lunch who had some sort of an entertainer who sang non stop at the top of his voice the whole time, encouraging the group to bang on the table and whistle and shout- FFS it’s a common space, get your own room if you’re going to behave like this. Now I know the hotel Manager can’t do much about this at the time but it was excruciating. Part of our small group was a special needs person who became very agitated because of the noise. It’s just not acceptable. Maybe say something to them, like keep the decibels down, stop banging, give it a break, there are other guests here, something! Do I have the be the Karen here? So that was my peaceful Friday night, and they were at it again lunchtime but thank Gd we were seated further away in an adjoining space. Perhaps I digress a little, bad manners aren’t the hotels fault but is there not a protocol here? Whatever. DC needs to get its act together because I’m pretty sure I won’t be back until they do.
היה מעל המצופה, הכל קרוב, הילדים נהנו מאוד, הצוות היה מקסים, בהחלט נחזור לשם.
We just wrapped up our stay at The David Citadel Hotel and honestly, it was worth every single penny. If you are looking for absolute comfort, top-tier service, and a location that makes exploring Jerusalem incredibly easy, this is the place to be. The location is honestly unbeatable. It sits right across from the Mamilla Avenue shopping area, which is full of great cafes and shops. More importantly, it took us less than 10 minutes to walk right up to the Jaffa Gate to enter the Old City. Being able to easily head out for a morning walk through history and then step right back into a quiet, luxurious hotel room was amazing. Speaking of the rooms, ours was spectacular. It was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We had a balcony that looked right out toward the Old City walls, and sitting out there with a coffee in the morning watching the sun hit the stone was a huge highlight of the entire trip. The facilities are just as impressive. The pool area is beautiful—it's heated, so even when the breeze picked up, it was perfect for a relaxing swim with the old city walls in the background. And the breakfast buffet was on another level. The variety was massive, with fresh local cheeses, salads, hot shakshuka, and amazing pastries. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the bellhops and restaurant team went completely out of their way to be helpful, welcoming, and professional without feeling stuffy. It was a completely flawless experience and we would absolutely love to stay here again next time we are in Jerusalem.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at The David Citadel Hotel. Last year already, my stay went so badly that I left the hotel earlier than planned. At the time, Manuel from Guest Relations apologized and encouraged me to give the hotel another chance during a future stay. Unfortunately, this new experience was even worse. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold and unpleasant. A wedding was taking place at the hotel, and it seemed to completely disrupt the organization and negatively impact the experience of the other guests. The parking, which was included with my reservation, was unavailable because it was “full.” The way this was communicated to us was particularly rude, with absolutely no effort made to find a solution. On Saturday morning, we wanted to have breakfast on the terrace. We were abruptly told that it was “not possible” because the area was reserved, and that we had to eat inside instead. Once again, the issue was not only the situation itself, but especially the tone used and the complete lack of consideration for guests. Breakfast was included in the price of my room, yet I never even ended up having breakfast there because the entire experience was so unpleasant. Unfortunately, these are only a few examples among many others. Considering the very high prices charged by this hotel, the level of service and overall experience were completely unacceptable. I have rarely experienced such an unpleasant stay in a hotel of this standard. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. David SARFATI
היה מעולה
האוכל היה פחות מטובל היה מאד מתוק היה מאד חסר את הניחוח המזרחי.
We had booked breakfast that same morning on the platform, but apparently the information wasn't registered. Upon arrival, I had to prove I had made a reservation, even though there was that there was plenty of space. The next question was, "It wasn't my day, but how do you pay?" And we had to pay before having breakfast, which I found rather friendly. I said we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but there was no reaction. The table service was very slow, 20 minutes for a coffee and a waffle, but the buffet was very good and A waiter spilled coffee next to our table; we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to clean it up. And instead of drying the floor, he put up a sign that said "wet floor." Like in the restrooms. Two tables became available next to us, and when we left 40 minutes later, they still hadn't been cleared. This is not up to 5-star standards. Too bad, we thought it was a good idea to go and have breakfast there.
We had a fantastic time in the hotel as always. Special thanks to Manuel Arbid ( guest relations manager) who managed to find my lost swimsuit and brought it to our room himself!!! Keep up the amazing service!
Nous avons tout aimé Le cadre, les senteurs, la vue exceptionnelle de notre chambre…
Manuel Arbid is the best! Mounir is the best and takes good care of his guests !
The Customer Service here is really Incredible and they care about you so much as if you were family. I’ve joined as a member and absolutely love the pool, with a Gorgious, views of beautiful architecture, sunshine, birds, and trees!
malgré les évènements très contente de mon séjour petit déjeuner excellent
David Citadel is always my go to when i go to israel. The location, the service and the accommodation are tops. but everyone knows that the best part of citdale experience is the delicious and abundant breakfast with the great service. special shout out to samir bah abd samor mar who are so accommodating and helpful. thank you so much.
Had an amazing stay at David Citadel. The war broke out and I extended my stay. My wife decided to go back to the US so I was solo for a bit. I wanted to give a shout out to Ata in the restaurant. Such a kind and professional server. I actually looked forward each morning to seeing his face and enjoying his friendly demeanor. I was a little lovely once my wife left but Ata made me feel at home. BTW - The hotel itself is outstanding. The food, the facilities and . . . Lots of safe places for missile alerts ; ). Very professional warnings and staff.
Hotel very Welcoming We are here in tense moments for the country and it’s citizens and no matter that people in the reception are very warm and helpfull Thank You Mr Simon and company
Very nice hotel. Food was awesome. Room was small but clean. Staff were awesome and very helpful. We did laundry services and they were prompt and same day. The cleaning staff saw that I threw away my coffee maker and left a water boiler for us to make coffee. So helpful. Shower was a little tricking to keep from soaking the floor. Bathtub was huge and deep and my wife loved it. I would love to go back here and stay again. Safe area and close to the mall. Pool area was beautiful.
Noy Shoshany the trainer at the gym is amazing. she’s so attentive and intelligent and she’s the best trainer there is. I recommend her 100%.
Horrific customer service. Booking was cancelled without explanation and zero apology.
From the moment I arrived until I left, I was treated like a king. The rooms are clean, the food was delicious, and staff are top notch. Shout out to Manuel who took such good care of us.
This hotel is beautiful, centrally located and the breakfast is exceptional. The rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is both welcoming and upscale. However the most wonderful thing about the David Citadel is the incredible staff. I am here during the Iran war. We had to extend our stay due to airspace closures. In the midst of chaos and stress of cancelled flights, sirens and uncertainty each and every staff person was kind, warm and gracious. One day I approached the concierge with the hopes of finding an optical shop to replace my lost glasses. Naaem was there and went above and beyond to take care of me. He took my prescription, went to his friend’s optical shop, FaceTimed me to select frames, had the glasses made and brought them to me the next day. He did all of this on his own time after his shift was over. This act of kindness and generosity will stay with me always. Naaem told me his name means heaven and he is my angel from Heaven. I am grateful to the staff at the David Citadel for making me feel cared for during what was otherwise a stressful time. I will be back to Israel and I will absolutely be staying at the David Citadel.
Accommodating. Helpful and kind staff. Our waiters at breakfast always wanted to be sure we were taken care of and we even saw some expert coffee art! Very close to Mamilla shopping area was a big help during our stay.
We have had the most extraordinary service during this time of war. Special shout out to Manuel Arbid, Dir of Guest Services & Naiem. The entire team created an environment that brought comfort and peace of mind to weary and vulnerable travelers. I will be forever grateful!
I happened to be here when the war broke out. My friends and I were rattled, but Manuel and the staff took such good care of us. It brought us calm in the middle of chaos. Also, it is a beautiful property with views of the Old City. Would definitely return.
I had a wonderful experience at the David Citadel (again) -- I travel to Jerusalem frequently and have stayed in more than a dozen hotels, but have decided that the David Citadel is my favorite. The rooms are beautiful -- especially with the Old City/pool view, which is exquisite and I truly think the best in all of Jerusalem. The staff is wonderful, and this time I had an excellent experience with Simon at the front desk, who was so attentive and kind and thoughtful. I can't wait to be back!
I LOVE the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. Every time I return, it feels like coming home when I arrive there. I have been booking our trips for groups here since 2013. I love the staff and most of them have been there for years, so when I return, the David Citadel staff are always waiting to extend a warm welcome for me and my guests. The hotel serves diplomats in a professional and safe environment! The food is excellent, the servers know my order and bring me my drink as soon as I am seated. The porterge team attend to my every request and the Front Desk and Concierge guys go above and beyond to assist me with my every need I have and help me with storage and special requests. These are all reasons I continue to return several times/year. Not to mention the view of the Old City wall, the pool and the convenience of walking to the Mamilla Mall and the Old City. This is my home away from home and my constant go to hotel!
Such a great hotel… the rooms, the staff, the location, the food, everything. Our room was spotless and clean. We felt very comfortable there. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The dining was exquisite with many selections and options plus the food was delicious. This is an excellent hotel located across the street from a nice outdoor mall.
My family loved every moment in the hotel. We loved the location (very close to the kotel) and our hotel room had a beautiful view of the old city walls. In particular the reception staff ASAL and ISMAIL were courteous, accommodating and went out of their way for us. The food and the waiter staff were incredible. We loved the gym and spa!!!!! Shout out to the incredible trainer there. We look forward to coming back and staying in this incredible hotel very soon.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Much enjoyed the stay. Will de6come again.
We stayed at the David Citadel Hotel with our family and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained throughout, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay. The food was excellent across the board — high quality, well prepared, and consistently enjoyable at every meal. What truly stood out, however, was the level of service. Every staff member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm, always going out of their way to make sure our family was comfortable and well taken care of. The location is ideal, making it easy to explore Jerusalem while still feeling like a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. We had absolutely no complaints during our stay and would without hesitation choose to stay here again. Highly recommended.
Amouri was the best waiter. Always so attentive to the people’s needs. Always ready to serve with a smile and everything was right away. He went above And beyond to make our stay so special. Thank you!!!
