It’s a little bit fat from Hakone and had no view from our room

We chose this beautiful place to celebrate our sixth anniversary, and it made the occasion truly special. Our room had robes, a balcony, and a private onsen tub. The staff provided warm, traditional Japanese hospitality, giving the entire stay a wonderful ceremonial feel. Dinner was an experience in itself—a beautifully presented, authentic Japanese meal served in a private, traditional-style room. We also booked the private onsen that was amazing featuring a sauna, hot pool and resting areas.

The hotel offers a free pick-up service from a bus stop just one minute away, which is only helpful for getting up the steep hill. However, the location is not particularly convenient for public transport, so you will likely need taxis to get around. The private onsen is child size 😂 The public onsen is tooooo small. Gets uncomfortable lol. They forgot my anniversary....

Questo ryokan è semplicemente stupendo. La camera era pulitissima, estremamente spaziosa e curata, i letti giganteschi e comodissimi ma il vero punto forte è stata l’onsen privata: davvero grande, tanto da poter entrare comodamente in due, e immersa nella natura. Fare il bagno circondati da questo scenario è stato un momento davvero suggestivo e speciale. La cena è stata superba, tutto davvero buonissimo e presentato con grande cura. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo anche la colazione tradizionale giapponese, altrettanto ottima. La persona che ci ha accolti è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile, spiegandoci tutto nei minimi dettagli e facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio. Entrare in questo ryokan significa quasi essere catapultati in un mondo diverso, lontano da tutto. Non era la nostra prima esperienza in un ryokan in Giappone, nel corso degli anni passati ne abbiamo visitati altri, ma questa è stata sicuramente una delle più belle e rimarrà tra i ricordi più speciali del nostro viaggio. Un posto che ci resterà davvero nel cuore e in cui tornerei senza esitazioni.

Rendere disponibile la navetta per una fascia oraria più ampia.

The hospitality of the staff was amazing. The room and the whole hotel are beautiful, even nicer than in the photos.

Manque de saveur parfois dans les dîners ( bouillon ) Forte odeur d'humidité dans la chambre c'était insupportable il faut vraiment agir pour cela ( malgré les machines pour ) L’hôtel a besoin d'un peu de rafraîchissement

Quiet and private environment, cozy atmosphere

Hôtel bien situé en forêt, très calme, proche du musée Pola. Personnel extrêmement attentionné et gentil. Bains privatifs (onsens) agréables ; bains publics peu fréquentés.

Hôtel un peu vieillissant ; plusieurs équipements mériteraient d'être rénovés ou changés - du moins au regard du prix payé. Pas de lampe de chevet. Baignoire de bain sur la terrasse très petite (on ne peut pas s'asseoir). Assez éloigné des sites d'intérêt de la région (il faut reprendre le bus - mais le personnel peut parfois vous déposer à l'arrêt).

朝食のアジの炭火焼とっても香ばしくて美味しかった。 小鉢もいろいろのものがあって美味しかったです。特に妻が全てを食べたことがとっても嬉しいです。 従業員の方の接待もとても素晴らしいです。群馬の菊池です。又お伺いします。

温泉がとてもよかった。また朝食を和食にしたが、焼き鮭がとても美味しかった。

駐車場からロビー入り口まで階段が長く足のわるい妻にはちょっときつかった。また喫煙エリアに行く際スリッパに履き替えて外に出るが、入り口に段差があり履き替えにくかった。スリッパはできれば外に常備してほしかった。

We loved the private onsen and the delicious course meals prepared for dinner and breakfast. The place was also very cozy and the staff were all accommodating and polite. We highly recommend this place!

The room was sparkling clean. Very comfortable and accommodating staff.

Transportation is limited to the bus stop close to the hotel. I wish they are more flexible to drop off/pick up guests from Gora or Odawara.

The staff were amazing. All spoke at least a little English, and they were all very super kind and helpful. The onsens were great and you could easily book a private one. The pickup and droff off service was vrry handy as they were based up a hill. Food was tasty and plentiful.

The location is a little out of the way compared some other ryokans. The decor is a little tired in places and the ornaments are very random.

Service and hospitality were excellent. Special shout out to Little and Rai, who were both very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Food was great. We had quite a wide variety over 3 nights and portions served were just right. Room was clean and very comfortable. Having fewer rooms made the place feel very exclusive and personal. I hardly saw any other guests.

The open air bath in the balcony of the executive room was disappointing. It could only fit one person and it was a tight fit. The private baths however could be easily booked and the public bath was not crowded, during our stay.

The staff were extremely professional and friendly throughout our stay. The Japanese breakfast was excellent, and both the Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu dinners were delicious. The hotel is also conveniently located near the museum and Ropeway station.

The location is a little far from the train station. However, the hotel provides a convenient shuttle bus service, which helps offset the distance.

Nous avons pu profiter des onsen public de l'hôtel où nous étions seules puis du privée et du bain privée de la chambre. C'était une belle expérience. Les repas traditionnels sont très bons et le personnel est très attentionné.

Everything was amazing! We stayed 2 nights and the hospitality was excellent. We loved experiencing the Japanese dinner and breakfast and the hotel staff were so accomodating with my pregnancy. The staff were brilliant at organising our shuttle to and from the bus stops and made sure we were well looked after. The room was so spacious and we enjoyed our own bath in our room PLUS the private onsen session. Thank you for a wonderful stay <3

The rooms are beautiful they're huge with a beautiful view. Giant beds and a leg massage machine in the room. The meals are out of this world. We ate 6 different meals all delicious. You sit in a Private room and they serve the most amazing and lavish meals of my life. The staff is also so nice and welcoming.

My only very small complain is the wifi Wich each a Little slow ans the onsen are very cool but I was expecting a little more beautiful design.

Everything is wow, a truly amazing experience! From the size of the bedrooms which is huge to the amenities inside which included a foot massaging chair, perfect to relax after exploring big cities and walking so much every day, to the view from the window into the forest, to the comfort of the balcony with the small private onsen bath, it's a complete relaxing luxury of a stay! The staff is impressively reactive and helpful for everything you need, and the private onsens available for reservations are also perfect. The free shuttle is also a big plus that I recommend to use when you arrive as there is a very steep road on the way to the place. And finally the restaurant offers an amazing dinner and breakfast experience with high quality food with variations, the small bites at the beginning are delicious and not something you see everywhere.

Wonderful onsen hotel in the mountains near Hakone. Staff was very friendly, with impressive English language skills. We loved both the private open-air bath on our balcony and our time in the larger private open-air bath. Dinner and breakfast were spectacular, with excellent drink choices. Our room was comfortable and spacious.

The hotel is almost perfect. If I had to choose one thing I didn't like, it was that trees blocked our view of the surrounding mountains.

The staff were waiting for us at the road entrance to help with valet parking and luggage. Pack light as the access is via stairs. Amazing staff who guided us on the facilities and the room until we were settled. Dinner &breakfast served in dining area. We had sukiyaki dinner-inform them early about allergies or restrictions. We ordered 1 western breakfast and 1 Japanese breakfast(salmon).

The staff could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. They were lovely! Best part of the stay.

We paid over $3,000 for two nights here. Granted, it was peak season. The actual property is pretty old and dated, and there are no outside grounds to wander or enjoy, except for the outdoor onsen. The shared onsen is very mediocre. Breakfast and dinner were included, which were really nice. My only complaint is that they charged us extra for every drink -- beer, soda, even OJ with breakfast! At $1500 a night, I'd expect a few drinks to be included. We were also disappointed that the meals are not actually served in your room, like a traditional ryokan, as we understood it. Overall, the room was fine, but the shared facilities and property grounds do not warrant the price tag.
