The property is great, the staff is polite, the food is great, great entertainment, the rooms have a good size, but…the beds are so tiny! My room was for 4, and we need to share 2 full beds!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Amazing Family Vacation at Riu Caribe Resort, Cancun!** Our family had an incredible stay at the Riu Caribe Resort in Cancun, Mexico! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful and memorable vacation. The resort was exceptionally clean. Our room was spotless every day, and the housekeeping staff did an amazing job keeping everything fresh and comfortable. The entire property, including the pools, restaurants, and common areas, was beautifully maintained. The amenities were excellent! We loved the beautiful pools, the beach, the delicious food, and the variety of entertainment and activities available throughout the day and evening. There was always something fun for everyone in our family to enjoy. The location is perfect. The resort is right on a gorgeous white-sand beach with breathtaking turquoise water, and it's conveniently located close to many attractions and shopping areas in Cancun. Most importantly, the staff truly made our vacation special. Everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and dedication made us feel right at home. My family and I had an unforgettable time, created wonderful memories, and enjoyed every moment of our stay. We highly recommend the Riu Caribe Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun-filled vacation in Cancun.

Location

Here you go: I booked this stay knowing I would be on my own for the first two nights, with my partner joining me for the final night before we travelled elsewhere. Unfortunately, I was unable to add her for just the one night through the original booking, so I tried to sort it out directly with the hotel when I arrived. I expected there may be an additional cost, which is fair enough, but what I was charged was basically the equivalent of booking another room for an extra night. That felt completely unreasonable. On top of that, my booking included an 850 USD credit. Naturally, I asked if that could be used towards the additional charge for my partner staying that one evening. I was told no. We then asked if we could use it towards the spa. Again, no. It was then explained that the “credit” was not really a credit at all, but more of a discount applied only when spending additional money on certain things. That is absolutely not how it was presented on Booking.com. When I questioned whether the staff thought this was fair, the response was simply “company policy”. That may be convenient for the hotel, but it does not make it reasonable, transparent, or customer friendly. I fully understand this is a hotel operating at a cheaper price point than places I would normally stay, and I am not expecting five star luxury for a budget price. But cheaper pricing does not give a business a free pass to mislead customers, hide behind vague policy, or take advantage of people once they are already on site. The room and facilities may be acceptable for the price, but the way this was handled left a very poor taste. The 850 USD “credit” felt misleading, and the extra charge for my partner felt like a cash grab. In my view, this needs to be made much clearer before booking. Customers should not have to discover after arrival that a “credit” is not really a credit, and that adding one person for one night will cost almost the same as another full night’s accommodation.
