Very clean appartment, had all the equipment you needed. In a brilliant location
Was in the attiic, so felt abit claustrophobic, but overall was ok
Good location, well mannered staff and all you need to have a good stay
Well equipped and clean
Good size well equipped 2 bed apartment
Constant noise from what seemed a fuse .box im the hall beside the first bedroom made sleep difficult
Loved the location and the front of house staff
The so called breakfast was bobbins
Modern, spacious with bags of facilities.Perfect for a bigger family group.
Part of the carpet was frayed on the stairs which created a trip hazard.
it was nice clean and comfortable
overall beautiful clean comfortable hotel but I didn't like the windows they open upwards and they do have locks but ifbu have a child with autism like I do its terrifying ..especially being on the 2nd floor
Nichts
There were also many things I really liked about my stay. The staff were really friendly, helpful and understanding, especially when it came to my son who has additional needs. I really appreciated their patience. The swimming pool and sauna were great and we really enjoyed using them. The rooms were a good size, which was helpful for our family, and I also liked that the kitchen and dining room areas were spacious and comfortable. Despite the issues I mentioned in my other feedback, I do want to highlight the positives, particularly the friendly staff and the facilities, as these made a difference to our stay.
I wanted to provide some honest feedback about my stay, as unfortunately there were several issues that made the experience difficult. We were allocated a room on the top floor, which involved around four flights of stairs. I was travelling with my one-year-old child, my other children, my mum who is disabled and finds stairs difficult, as well as two suitcases, several bags and a buggy. I appreciate that I did not mention my mum's mobility difficulties when booking, as I didn't see anywhere to add this information, and I also wasn't aware which floor or room we would be allocated as there were only a few rooms available when I booked. However, when I received the room, I explained the situation to the receptionist. I was told that disabled guests are given priority. I completely understand this, but I was disappointed that there wasn't more consideration given to the fact that I had a buggy, a one-year-old and several children and bags to carry up four flights of stairs. It would have been helpful if this could have been discussed or considered when allocating the room. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was also disappointing. The rooms were not particularly clean, with a number of stains on the beds and pillows. There were also holes in some of the bedding and duvets, and one of the blinds kept falling down. The pull-out sofa bed was also stained and appeared dirty, which was concerning as this was intended to be used for sleeping. The bunk beds were also very noisy and creaked a lot whenever they were used or someone moved during the night. This was particularly disruptive and made it difficult to sleep comfortably. I was also disappointed with the breakfast. It was advertised as breakfast, but what was provided was essentially a hot drink and a croissant, which I did not feel was a proper breakfast. The hallway also had a very unpleasant smell, and the building appeared to have very little soundproofing.
Clean & spacious apartment which was also well equipped.
Nothing
Location , ideal if you have kids - fairly well equipped kitchen , AC great , pity it didn’t reach the bedrooms
Entrance to the apartments was shabby - carpets stained and lets down the overall look of the hotel. Internet not great Plug by a mirror be good for hairdryer
Quality of apartment, location and staff
No lift! Requested ground floor and ended up in 2nd floor! Accommodation were aware we were travelling with a baby as they offered a cot
The location is good for St Anne's town centre and the pier. The swimming pool was OK, the kids enjoyed it.
The apartment was quite dirty. The floors weren't very clean and there were balls of fluff/hair on the floor. There were several breadcrumbs on the kitchen top behind the kettle, greasy fingerprints on the kitchen units, debris on the kitchen floor, some kind of stains and debris on the bedroom wall and a breakfast cereal shreddie on the bathroom floor which was still there after we told the reception.
We stayed in apartment 401, ground floor and it was well equipped and car parking was easy.
The smell. Honestly it was so bad. I had to go to the living room during the night and sleep on the sofa with the windows open which didn’t feel safe as we’re on the ground floor. I flagged in the morning the terrible smell with the receptionist but was told by another member of staff sat down at the table it was a council problem with the drains. The bunk beds were extremely noisy so we ended up having to pull the top bunk mattress on to floor as it kept both the kids awake. Their room was also extremely hot and being on ground floor very limited options to sleep with windows open. Their blind was also broken and there was a gluey foot print with hair stuck in it on their windowsill. This also cost us just shy of £300 for the night which felt too much money.
The pool was ok but we were told don’t have the grandkids jump in… they can sit with their feet in the hot tub but mustn’t get in
The sofa we were expected to sleep on was stained and hard and small We were told initially we could have a refund but better to wait and keep asking, we asked twice a day, early morning and after Check In at 3pm incase there was a cancellation I asked for a mattress topper at least the manager refused and said ‘you’ve been given what you booked… the sizes of the small sofa is on the website’. Some staff were less rude and offered their sympathy but there were no other rooms available. We were shown one other room but the sofa was smaller and the room smelled badly of drains.
Rooms are really nice, staff really friendly
Great location, superb facilities, comfortable and welcoming
Not really but parking was a problem
The swimming pool
No air con. Very small, sofa bed was small and area to use it was too small
Location, facilities and accommodations.
It was on your website and the hotels that breakfast was included which was a breakfast box or a coffee and croissant on the go, when I went down in the morning and asked what breakfast options were they she said nothing unless you want a coffee to go and a croissant but they don’t do the breakfast box and haven’t for a while. I hadn’t bought anything as it said it was included!
The staff were super accommodating no matter what it was. They genuinely cared x. The apartments were spacious and well equipped - tea, coffee, sugar and milk portions. Fairy liquid and sponge there too. The beds were comfy and stylish open plan livingroom kitchen area. Spa was lovely and quiet, whole place to ourselves Location was amazing - facing a lovely park, a minute walk to local shops and square. Prime location to bus to travel to Blackpool and bus staff lovely. Although on a busy road it was really quiet. Love the bay windows too. Warm but fans helped and the windows opening top and bottom was good.
Apartment needed a paint some marks on the ceiling that was off putting. Stairs going to Apartment were very slim and needed alot of concentration to use them.
The pool was fabulous the apartment was comfortable
Location
The rooms are looking old and tacky, the bed settee looked like it came out of a skip with all the stains on it, the double beds were small, the first night there was no hot water from about 9pm onwards
Location was perfect- not far from Blackpool pleasure beach, supermarkets literally across the road, quiet sandy beach 2 mins walk away and transport easily accessible. Property was beautiful! Very spacious, clean and light.
TV in rooms could be upgraded to be able to access Netflix, prime etc. Wanted to watch a movie with my kids but unable to. Unable to see in mirror when drying and styling my hair as mirrors too far from plug points.
We stayed at the Hy Hotel with our 4 grandchildren ages between 11yrs to 17 yrs. They loved the swimming pool where they were ever day! The Hotel is near all Lytham St Anne's facilities like the beach , shops and restaurants The apartment was very clean and well equipped for our holiday. Thank you Hy Hotel 😊
Nothing
I liked the kitchen and the location. Proximity to Aldi and nice tourist spots
The apartment was not smelling fresh
Very close to restaurants and bars.
Very small room ( 407). Very little space. No drawer space and a clothes rail…no wardrobe…Kitchen floor when walked on with bare feet was not very clean…
The pool area was nice
It was dirty. We changed rooms due to the stench that was coming from pipes or blocked sewers which they have known about the problem for months and the furniture was really badly stained You don’t get a breakfast only stale croissant and a coffee from a machine
The room was comfortable, although a little basic.
The building felt a little tired and probably in need of an upgrade. As the tide was out ( a very long way), it took about 30 minutes to walk as far as the water for a swim.
Great location, rooms really spacious lovely feel to it
The “Free Breakfast” felt like false advertising. We booked this hotel thinking it would be a proper breakfast as we were going to be spending all day out. Turns out the breakfast unlike most hotels - was plain croissants and a small takeaway coffee. One of our group was gluten intolerant and therefore couldn’t have anything…. On top of that the lack of cleaning became a problem as we were there for 4 days. 4 people in a room the rubbish piled up. Plus was charged £2 for a towel for the pool… which isn’t a great loss, but if you advertise a pool surely you’d provide free towels. Finally, the shower lost all hot water on the last day meaning we froze before our 290 mile drive home.
We've stayed here on a number of occasions and always enjoy coming back. The swimming pool is fantastic and is a real highlight for the children. The complimentary hot drinks and croissants in the morning are a lovely touch and make the stay feel even more welcoming. The location and facilities make it a great place for a family break, which is why we continue to return.
On a few visits, the steam room or sauna hasn't been working, although we appreciate that these things can occasionally happen. We've also noticed that the toiletries in the rooms are sometimes only half full, and the rooms can have a slightly musty smell when you first arrive.
Location
It was too hot to sleep well. The sofa bed was not great. The pool was heavily chlorinated so very uncomfortable
good location
Had to asked staff to clean the bathroom.
Close to beach. Lovely pool and staff.
We were in the attic apartment in the heat wave. Despite air con in one room, it was too hot to sleep. The kids room had a broken blind and felt uncared for. Breakfast v simple
Aircon was amazing
Alot of stains on the carpets on the way to the room but probably can’t be helped
Big enough for two of us had a nice patio outside.
It was meant to be unlimited access to pool however you had to book.
Lovely room and staff
The pool was a bit too hectic, it seemed to more of a chilled type of pool but large groups of kids was messing and causing a disturbance so much that another couple just left
Swimming pool
A few minor maintenance issues need addressed
Leaving !
AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! we arrived here very late with 2 babies and the rooms were an absolute disgrace! First room the air con had a smell of fish, and stains all over the sofa bed. Second room the couch was all stained and broken ! The third room the Sofa bed was absolutely disgusting we could not sleep in. Holes and dirt/stains all over it. There was no rooms available and it was by this point 2 o'clock in the morning so we had no choice to stay because of the kids. We checked out first thing in the morning and found somewhere else to stay. Staff were so RUDE ! not a single apology, refused to give us a full refund and only gave a refund for the two nights we left. They actually found it acceptable to charge full price to stay with the stress of moving to three different rooms with two babies and still not being able to sleep because of the sheer dirt !! If we could have slept in the car we would have !!!! Genuinely never experienced anything like it in my life. Absolutely nothing like the pictures online, i do not know how it is even allowed !!
Brilliant location and free parking Good pool and gym Staff were pleasant Nice bathroom Free coffee and Croissants were a treat
Paid extra for an extra large double bed and felt like just a standard double bed. water in shower was cold on many occasions, sofa bed was really uncomfortable to sit on, no mirror in bedroom or a long mirror. kitchen facilities were abit bleak. No tea towel or enough kitchen ware.
The pool and the park opposite the hotel. Near Lytham and the the pleasure beach and Blackpool zoo. Walking distance to St Ann's peir.
Not amazingly clean. Car park could of done with a sweap.
Everything
Can’t complain
The pool was a big hit with the kids.
Brekfast was disappointing.
Lovely spacious apartment with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen area. The pool was really nice. We really enjoyed the complimentary pastries for a quick breakfast. Great location, really close to the beach and shops etc and just across the road from the beautiful Ashton gardens.
The cleanliness wasn’t to my standard, the floors were quite dirty and there was not adequate storage furniture in the rooms for clothes etc. The coffee machine in the reception wasn’t great and was broken a few times during our stay.
Clean and tidy. Beds really comfy. Pool nice.
There wasn’t a free breakfast as said on booking.com. Instead it was free pastries. Pastries were cheap pastries that were hardly ever available.
Great location, neat and tidy apartment, reasonable priced
Only small things, no spare bin bag, no chopping board, one bed sloped to the side and the main one was no lift and we were top floor
Location
WiFi isn’t very good
Lovely apartment with good amenities and good location.
Steam room was broken
the room was clean and worked well for a family of three generations 5 year, 30years 60+ years, the extras like pots cutlery and microwave, oven fridge were all spotless
whilst glorious sunshine is not the norm for the uk, the couple that slept on the pullout bed didnt sleep very well as it was so hot, the main bedroom had glorious aircon and the second bedroom had a fan but the living room was like a furnace.
Lovely modern, spacious room. Great pool area. Free parking.
Breakfast was poor - average coffee with a shop wrapped pastry. No bar area in the hotel.
Great location, plenty of shops and restaurants/ cafes nearby. Apartment average but had everything you need.
Entrance hallway and staircase in need of desperate decoration and new carpets as they are badly stained and smell of dogs.
We stayed in the 2 bed apartment with bunk beds and it provided 5 of us with plenty space and all facilities we needed for our 2 night stay. Apartment was beautiful decorated and laid out allowing us to cook breakfast each day and plenty room at the big table for our takeaway fish and chips! The gym was well equipped, far better than most hotels I’ve stayed at and the pool was larger than expected and a nice temperature. Ideally situated for the beach, pier, shops and pubs. There’s a bus from outside to Blackpool but we got a Taxi which cost £10 each way which was ideal for 5 people.
Only reason it’s not a 5* review is the pool and spa facilities were out of order on our second day much to the disappointment of our 7 year old who’d loved it the day before. That said, this isn’t the fault of the hotel just one of those unexpected maintenance issues that happen. Also oddly there was no blind in the bunk beds room.
Spacious apartments. Easy parking.
A few stairs to climb.
Beds were comfy. Location was perfect Staff are lovely Air con in the apartment Fans were put in every room and TV Close to shops and beach.
We had to ask for the room to be cleaned whilst we’re out. Only to come back later that day and be told the key we had was the only one. Breakfast was disappointing- it’s no cooked breakfast it’s a coffee machine and crossiants to go. milk didn’t work in the machine and croissants were gone. pool is one hour slot a day and the chlorine the first day burnt everyone’s eyes.
Friendly staff and location
No air con to compensate for the window locks and poor quality pull out bed to sleep on. Restricted pool times and no parking spaces available
We loved the apartment and our grandchildren loved the pool
We needed a baking tray and scissors in the room
The venue was close to the beach and St Anne's town, with lots of lovely cafes to get breakfast in. The swimming pool was great to be able to use and it was nice to be able to self-cater (Aldi, Sainsbury's and the posh M&S food hall are walking distance, so that was great!). It was dog friendly and the staff love dogs and were generally really helpful. Bathroom was clean and seemed quite new (had a big shower but no bath).
The sofa in the living space was old and tired and smelled of dog. It was a shame because the space would have felt a lot better if there had been a nicer sofa and comfy chairs in it. The dishwasher didn't open properly, which was difficult and they only provided one dishwasher tablet, so you'll need to bring your own! There was no tea or coffee provided. The bed was on the wonk and quite uncomfortable. There was a £2 cost for towels for use in the pool (we just used our apartment ones, but this wasn't communicated on arrival so was a faff for the first pool visit) and you had to pre-book pool/sauna use for the whole of your stay. This was fine for us as I like a swim every morning before getting ready for the day, but this could be a real downside for others.
Great staff and comfortable stay
No breakfast
Having a small apartment instead of a typical Hotel Room was a real bonus. The location is great with a very short work into town and to the beach.
The heating controls were set HOT, so I don't think it was reset between visitors. The gym opening times from 8am-8pm were limiting for me, especially trying to fit it in around a working day.
Good location, clean, staff helpful
Well situated to go into St Annes. Great car park. Great having the pool and jacuzzi although disappointed sauna not very hot and steam room out of act.
3 girls and only one mirror in bathroom! Bad drain smell in bathroom. Room 202 No decaffeinated coffee.
Swimming pool and size of room
Management need to review £2towels policy for the pool. Steam room out of order. I stayed here the year before and experience has somewhat gone downhill, the rooms were dated. No lifts in the hotel! Breakfast was non existent! Self catering apartment with no utensils!
So convenient for town centre and the park
Looking a bit tired, think it’s in need of a bit of TLC. Bad internet connection
Lovely and spacious. Lots of origami features. Dog friendly. Pool great
Needs a bar, breakfast, somewhere to meet and relax
Great location
Not very clean when we arrived
The staff was lovely, location was great, pool facilities was very good small but more then sufficient. the apartment Was handy I think the one I had was too small for me and my family it was sold as sleeps 4 as it had a bedroom with a double bed and the living room/kitchen/dinner had a sofa bed but it really shouldn't have slept 4 if that makes sense it made the apartment very cramped when the sofa bed was down this would have been perfect if it had just been myself and husband then the apartment would have been perfect You do have to pre book the hotel pool but staff are great and will let you book before you go there was only two days we wanted to go to the pool and couldn't (because of no spaces) I didn't want to prebook for the almost two weeks we was there as I wasn't too sure on my own plans due to seeing family but I'm sure I could have been in the pool more had I known my itinerary in advance Pool was also lovely and warm
The hallway was so noisy and you could hear EVERYTHING through the super thin walls, We had the downstairs flat and the big bay window didn't have any net curtains in it so whenever anyone walked past they could see the whole of the "sofa bed" kitchenette so it made me feel quite uncomfortable as I was on holiday on my own with my kids without my husband we also had an incident on our 1st day where we had been let into our apartment early (very nice of them) however once we'd moved everything in (we was staying just under 2weeks) I was in the bathroom when the front door to the apartment opened my daughter quickly shut it shouted me and the door opened again it was a young couple who had been assigned my apartment! They was lovely and in just as much shock as me we all went to the front desk and the manager wasn't around the lady at the front desk said sorry it was a mistake and seemed unbothered by it! My children was worried for the next few days as was I as it seems like there should have been something on the system that didn't allow them to come into my flat as a woman on her own with children it was quite scary the lady at the desk said the manager would contact me but I never heard from anyone about it again! It was like she just thought it was no big deal but it felt like a big deal to us!
Very spacious apartment. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel pool was really lovely.
Nothing

Everything
N/A
The only problem we had were the doors into the apartments. It seems like a small thing but they banged every time. As a family we had 3 rooms and where in and out of each other's rooms. This made it extremely noisy for other customers.
Everything
Had most of what we needed and the room was great fitted us in perfectly
Some kitchen things were missing plug for the sink no oven gloves
The facilities were excellent, the pool, steam room, and sauna were all enjoyable. The staff were all friendly and helpful and always ready with jovial conversation. The location is excellent with ample parking. The breakfast, although only croissants and coffee, we're ample and freshly made, and very nice.
Nothing! Our party, six of us, were satisfied with everything. There was a 'bouncing ball issue' which one of the leg pulling staff told us, it was a footballer living upstairs, but it was actually a door!
Comfortable Aparthotel in a central location close to the seafront and the shops. The apartment was well-equipped, and the added bonus of a spa and swimming pool onsite were great. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nice shower.
The room was at the top of the building and therefore quite hot, even though the heating wasn't on and the outside temperature was cold. We kept the windows open which helped to cool it down. Some fixtures eg the sofa bed was tired looking, and amenities a little basic, eg no tissues provided. Carpets in the communal areas were very dirty looking and could do with a clean.
Did not stay for breakfast, location was really good.
Needed a mirror in bedroom, the one in hallway was in a dark position.
Location was perfect, spacious apartment, comfy beds.
Sofa was the worst I’ve ever sat on!!!! Filthy bin, attention to detail was missing, no tea bags/coffee but lots of sugar & milk
Great location. Big family gathering and we all got an apartment over two blocks. Great to be close to each other (and have some space:-) )
It was not clean to a basic level. Several of the party had problems - no hot water. Apartment too hot. Really dirty room. The staff were approachable and helpful - but fighting a losing battle. The property was probably amazing when it was originally converted. It needs a little TLC and a good scrub.
Everything
Nothing
Not a lot! Free parking
Cost a small fortune, dated, dirty. Breakfast was a dry croissant and not what we expected when we paid a huge £230 for two nights!!! Was loud, banging doors all night.
Staff were great and the location was excellent. They upgraded the room which was a nice plus and the parking was right out front. Staff were very good and friendly and the apartment was a good size. The breakfast coffee and croissants were better than expected.
Heating wasn't working and no hot water in the shower, no one responded to the Whatsapp number we were given in case of these issues, had to shower at the pool. Pool was essentially open to the public so booking seemed pointless (you could get in from the street it seemed).
Poor breakfast setup
Clean modern with sport and pool facilities
The location to the beach was great, bed was comfortable but small
We arrived to a messy reception with no staff on loads of door keys all over the desk just left out. I finally called them, telling me they were with another guest and wouldn't be long. The bedrooms had large windows with only black out blinds, no net curtains they had been removed and so you could see right into the other guest rooms. If I shut the blinds I shut out the light. The pool area was filthy the floor in the changing room made me feel sick. , only 4 lockers no hooks so no where to put your cloths or hang anything , not even in the pool area. We booked this hotel for the spa for one night the Jacuzzi had broken and the steam room was not working. I would NOT call this a Spa. An understatement!!
