We had a lovely 4 nights stay at a great ‘dog friendly’ hotel. Sue and all the staff were amazing and so helpful (nothing was too much trouble for them). It is in close proximity to the town, the beach etc (which is perfect) and the swimming pool use is just a few minutes walk away. My little boy, and I absolutely loved our breakfasts (they really set us up for the day) and he said, “Sue’s pancakes were the best in the world!” Ted, our dog, loved his chew stick treat, every morning too! Two very happy boys! 💙🐾

The steep stairs cannot be helped (in a property of that age) but I’d just like other future guests to know they are steep and make dragging suitcases and bags (up and down them) quite difficult.

The property is very nice and welcoming, it was our anniversary and a nice little treat off the owner was a really nice touch.

Was keen on next doors balcony going across our bedroom window but the owner went above and beyond and managed to swap rooms for us and we ended up in the room when we 1st stayed here which was nice

Homely bed and breakfast, very nice and helpful host, she left some breakfast out for us even though we were leaving very early.

The breakfast at Howarth House was lovely - lots of options, freshly prepared, and delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly - as were the dogs! The beds were comfortable and the rooms nicely decorated, with great attention to detail - including a pretty glass plate to cool your hair straighteners on! Howarth House is also very well-situated - a couple of minutes away from the beautiful beach, round the corner from some excellent restaurants, and a couple of streets away from a major shopping area. There is parking out front for around 6-8 cars. This was full when we arrived, but we were easily able to get a spot on the opposite side of the road instead. Rooms were well priced.

It was a little difficult lugging our suitcases up to the top floor without knocking over some of the otherwise lovely decorative objects situated at the turns/bottom of certain flights of stairs! (They did make the whole place feel very homely and a bit magical, though, so this isn't really a complaint!)

This property is a little hidden gem. Loved the Victorian decor. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, and the staff are very friendly. Great location, just a couple of minutes walk to all the facilities. Parking on site was a massive bonus. Will definitely return to this B&B when we next visit St. Anne's.

Staff were incredibly nice and helpful and shared how to get around St Anne’s. My room was a single and very small indeed but perfectly clean and comfortable. It had a fan and a portable heater in the room which was great so facilities were super. I had my wee dog there and the staff provided him with a bowl, towel and mat. We were welcomed and I was allowed to have him at breakfast where he received a chew. It was also really good that the staff spoke to benji but thinking about it nobody tried to let him. This is excellent as some dogs don’t like petted by strangers so that was great. The breakfast was fabulous. I had the fruit platter to start which was delicious and beautifully presented. I can’t eat a full cooked breakfast so had hash, browns, sausages, beans and toast which were all very tasty. The menu has a nice selection.

My room was a tad small. It was adequate for my 3 night stay and very clean and comfortable. I’d still return despite the size. I just wouldn’t recommend it for a long period of time such as 7 plus nights. Go bigger.

Howarth House is an exceptional place to stay, wether it's a short or long break. Sue and all her staff are very helpful, polite and accommodating. Rooms are extremely clean and decorated to a high standard, walk in shower, tea / coffee making facilities. Breakfast is first class with plenty of choice, the full english is cooked perfect every time. I will always try and stop here when in the area if its available. Howarth House is a credit to Sue and all her staff, first class.

Great location for the centre of town and pier...staff were really welcoming and friendly...the decor fun but not too boutiquey ...was interesting and comfi...lovely and clean with everything you needed in the room extra like hairdryer...fan...extra blankets ....the breakfast was very nice with menu to choose and a waitress..all cooked fresh ..and lots of it...I'd go again definitely...and you can take your doggie too

Carpark is tiny cos of the nature of building street...if you have a big car best to back in

The host was really friendly, kind and accepted my beloved dog with warmth. Although I was only there for 1 night the bed was very comfy and so I had a perfect nights sleep.

Great location, very friendly staff, but my favorite part was the owners three dogs: Rosie, Poppy, and Mac!

We didn’t know pets were allowed as my husband has allergies- but the pet / no pet humans were very compartmentalised & therefore other than meeting one v well behaved dog in reception at check in - there were no issues - so would recommend accommodation to all

The shower pipe ws hanging off the wall so was unable to gave a proper shower after being out all day. Room tiny creaking floorboards. Hotel own 4 dogs behind a gate toward the kitchen , sometimes barking seems very unhygienic to be there. Oddly Beans served in a cup at breakfast.

I chose the hotel because I believed it had parking. There were a few parking places but when I arrived it was impossible to get into either of the two free spots due to no manoeuvring space. I have a disability and I had to park some distance away which I found difficult to walk to. Another resident told me me not to try parking and park elsewhere off the main road. I had to ask for towels as there were none in my room. The breakfast was adequate.

I love staying at Howarth house, its in a great location near shops, bars, bus routes and the beach. The owner is very dog friendly, and welcoming to humans as well!!. The hotel is very clean, the beds and linen are clean and fresh. All in all a perfect getaway

The rooms are exceptionally clean and serviced with fresh towels and cleaning every day. We had a luxury double room with balcony which was ideal and great to be able to sit out with a cup of tea. The breakfasts are first class with a lot of choice, the full English breakfast is just right, not too little and not too much, was cooked to perfection, it was first class. The staff bent over backwards for you and couldn't be more helpful and very polite, nothing was too much for them. It is a first class place to stay and I recommend it 110%

The location was great. It was close enough to the beach, around a 3–4 minute walk, but set back on a lovely tree-lined street with open space around it, which made it much nicer and more shaded. The hotel car park is very small. Even though there were three spaces free, we could not get in because it was so narrow, and if cars park in alternating spaces it becomes almost impossible. However, there was free unlimited street parking on both sides nearby. Ask reception exactly where to go, as they pointed us in the right direction and it was very easy. The hotel itself is very cute and charming. Our room, number 9, was lovely and tastefully decorated. We stayed during the June heatwave, so the room was very hot during the day. It cooled down overnight, so it was fine for sleeping. There was no air conditioning, so that is worth knowing in hot weather. Overall, it was a lovely stay and worked well for us

The location was very good as it's close to amenities and the beach. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way at breakfast due to our dietary needs. It felt like a home from home.

The mattress was way too soft as we prefer a firm mattress.
