Excellent breakfast, prepared to order each morning. Host, Simon, was quite friendly and welcoming. Great view over Looe, and parking included.
The bed was smaller than I would have liked.
Cracking view of the river and town with beautiful night lights. Hearty breakfast to start the day and a very interesting host to chat with.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but there was a park right out front.
The location was good although a steep walk back. The host was very friendly. Nice breakfast.
The room was fairly clean but the paintwork was in need of work.
Simon was a fantastic host and there was nothing that we didn't need but asked everytime ,the breakfast was excellent and a variety of cereals and yoghurts couldn't fault
Everything the accommodation was lovely Simon was brilliant chatted to us every morning thankyou simon
Location was spot on with great view, right in the town. Parking is great. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent great choice of food and could have what ever you wanted. Simon is a great host very attentive nothing is too much trouble.
Nothing! We had great stay.
Great location
All good
The view of the harbour was fantastic at night
The hill you have to go up to get back to the property and the very narrow roads.
Really enjoyed our stay,Simon the host was very friendly and helpful. Parking outside was a bonus. Although on a hill we soon got used to it.room was lovely and well equipped even had a fan.breakfast was excellent with good quality local produce.would definitely stay again.
Very good
breakfast was beautiful well cooked , our room was lovely and lovely view from the window extra in the room Tea coffee and simon left us some lovely cake which we much enjoyed,
Wish it was closer to where we lived it was a six hour drive to get there but as well worth it.
What a great B & B - everything about this was excellent. Communication from property owner before arrival was good - very clear and detailed explanation of how to find the property and parking. Our room was lovely with incredible views over the harbour. Breakfast was very good and room was clean and comfortable. I loved the extra touches like milk in the fridge and flapjack waiting for us on arrival. I highly recommend this property.
Spacious and well-equipped room with a beautiful view
Unfortunately our request for non-dairy milk was missed but the host was very apologetic about this.
Fantastic location and view. Simon a great host and made a top breakfast.
Breakfast was great lots of choice good location

Simon was a great host, Breakfast was Delicious 😋 I will be going back
The location was quiet and close to the main town ,great that it had parking outside of the property, lovely spacious room , excellent views across the harbour very pretty at night
Nothing
Everything, Simon was an exceptional host.
Nothing!
Was clean and had a great view from the balcony
Nothing
The view is amazing. You can just sit and watch people go by down below and then at night time the lights come on in the town. So pretty!
Great location. Everything in Looe is in walking distance if you don’t mind a bit of a hill, beach is close by and shops, cafe’s pubs etc. Simon is an excellent host and makes a great breakfast. The room is clean and has everything you could need.
The view from this clean and tidy room was truly exceptional. We came to town for a wedding, but we could have happily stayed reading our books on the balcony and enjoying the view of Looe! The host is kind and attentive at breakfast. The room was very clean and parking was easy. We loved it.
Location and view were good.
Breakfast poor, room needed deep cleaning and updating and bathroom the same very dirty/poor.
Location was great with fantastic views and just minutes from the town and beach.
The main window had a fault in the glazing causing internal condensation. The carpets need cleaning.
Good location to town, lovely view. Simon was good host.
Getting tired and needs bit of updating. Needs a hanger in bathroom no place to put your toiletries or anything like your clothes after shower. Mold around patio doors could be cleaned.
Great location ,Breakfast filled you up for the day Nothing to much ,Simon went above and beyond sorting out the room issue during first day
Fantastic location, really clean, lovely view. Great host.
The room we had was lovely when we finally got to it. We arrived late afternoon , we were told our name would be on our room door, go in.The room was a mess not been cleaned. The owner Dimon came after we sat in the kitchen for half an hour which had all the dirty breakfast pots on the tables. When Simon arrived he said he had got the wrong day. He thought it was Monday not Tuesday. We sat while he cleaned our room. Not a way to run a business you charge a lot of money for.
See above.
We had a spacious & comfortable first floor room with en-suite shower with great views out of the bay window over the river, harbour & West Looe. We were situated very close to the middle of town up rather a steep hill - but as we were only 150m or so from the High Street this wasn't really an issue. Simon, the owner, cooked a great 'full cornish' breakfast which was very tasty, using fresh local ingredients - other options were available. Simon was very helpful & knowledgeable about the town & surrounding area & the whole vibe was very relaxed. We had a great 4 nights at Penwyn & would definitely stay there again.
Not a surprise in a traditional Cornish seaside town some of the roads are a little narrow so extra care needs to be taken when driving along them.
Well positioned, spacious room, lovely breakfast friendly host definitely recommend
Steep, but everywhere is cannot help
The house owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. Every day, he offered to get us extra milk and provided useful information about the area.
Fabulous bay window view from our front room. Excellent breakfast.
Guests should be aware that the property is on a steep hill (thus the view!), and the walk up from the high street, although not long, might be a problem for a guest with mobility issues.
Host Simon was very friendly and accommodating. View was amazing and breakfast cooked to order by Simon and was very good
Relaxed atmosphere
Stunning view, excellent breakfast, friendly host
Lovely place in a fantastic position. The view from the bedroom was fabulous and with a balcony. Breakfast was delicious and large. Simon is a superb host.
All good
Nothing
Everything. The owner was great he was very helpful and friendly.
Walking up the steep hill
Room was really spacious. The fridge and coffee/tea facilities were great - and allowed you to sit with a nice cup of tea in the morning and look out over the stunning views!!!
Host welcoming, breakfast good.
What a wonderful little B&B , right on the hillside of East Looe over looking the west with incredible views over the harbour . Simon was a great host and he was always open to cooking a breakfast of your choice. He was also there to offer information about places to visit. There are some lovely places to eat locally in the town making Looe a great destination.
The location and views.
The cleanliness could do with more attention to detail and the bathroom was tired!
Amazing views across harbour and over to beach and sea. Ideally located to access Looe. Simon was a great host and made a fantastic breakfast catered to exactly what you wanted. Gorgeous property in a beautiful location.
My wife and I had such a wonderful stay. Our host, Simon, is a thoroughly nice chap, really helpful and certainly a good source of local knowledge and cooks a fab breakfast, no menu required as he will prepare whatever you request which we thought was a great touch. We had the room on the lower floor which was very comfortable and had an excellent view. We enjoyed our welcome flapjack too! Highly rated. Just a stones throw from the centre of town and its excellent pubs.
Nothing to dislike
Warm, comfortable and clean room. View was beautiful and stunning at night. Location perfect, with everything a short walk away. Simon was an excellent/attentive host and provided a fabulous cooked breakfast, which set us up for the day. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Simon made us very welcome and was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we had everything we needed.
Perfect location close to town centre, Simon is the perfect host the room was vic lean cosy and comfy with a beautiful view, we enjoyed the flapjacks thank you, everything you need is provided, car parking was gratefully provided thank you a bonus you can park outside easily plus additional parking is available, we will definitely be back again soon .
Breakfast was amazing, Simon was a great host! Location and views were perfect.

The View and breakfast!
Simon is a kind caring and very attentive person could not ask for more
Nothing all great
The location was superb. The bedroom was well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the view was superb. The mini fridge was an excellent idea. The host was excellent, very relaxed, and genuinely interested in his guests. A good selection of breakfast items, all freshly cooked , I would definitely recommend Penwyn bed and breakfast.
There was nothing i didn't like
The room had everything needed, and more. Amazing view of the harbour. Bed very comfortable, although a little soft for us. Extremely quiet and peaceful location, be prepared for a steep hill to town... ! Short but steep.
Everything good, just the hill, we didn't use the car, walked & bus to Polperro.. Plans made to minimise up & down the hill (we have knee issues)
Location was great and Simon was a great host
Nothing really.
Excellent location, big comfortable room with excellent views over the harbour.

Simon the host was fabulous, anything you need he will try to accommodate, fantastic breakfast, all locally sourced, great room with fantastic views over the harbour of Looe, would definitely stay again 10/10.
Nothing.
This place is stunning, a real gem in Looe. We stayed in the room with the balcony & it's perfect. The location & views are amazing.. The beds are comfy, shower is hot, fridge to keep milk cold, & breakfast is cooked to order. Simon is great & cakes in the room on arrival are fab! What's not to love? This is our second visit & will be back!
Nothing apart from the walk back up the hill after a pasty is a challenge!
Great location, simon was brilliant we loved our room with balcony..Breakfast was fantastic would stay again
simon ist ein sehr höfflicher und lustiger Vermieter. Die anfahrt ist sehr speziell. oder besser, abenteuerlich!!!
The location was fabulous right in the heart of Looe. The room had amazing views and was very comfortable, light & bright. Simon our host cooked a lovely English breakfast each morning and was very friendly & welcoming.
Nothing
Great views over Looe. Easy access into the town minus the hill to walk back up but you get used to it. Simon was amazing with breakfast and making sure we have everything we could need.

The area is beautiful and views amazing. The B&B was comfortable and clean. Simon, the owner, was helpful, polite, and welcoming.
You need to adapt to the environment, up and down slopes, expensive prices for foods and gifts in the area. Pubs in the location are accommodating, but not many rear gardens or outside drinking areas. Expect the seagulls to be very active and disruptive. They love pastes and ice creams.
absolutely everything - great B&B. Good directions to find the house and car parking outside as advertised. Lovely location, fantastic view, we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 2 chairs was fantastic and so grateful so we could both sit down (so often double bedrooms have just 1 chair and no idea why) 2 fluffy towels each, a fridge with 2 bottles of water, milk jug and flapjacks left too along with tea and coffee. There was a mirror next to the electric point (again this is so often missing) toiletries, wardrobe with a good amount of hangers. Simon was a very friendly and helpful host. Lovely breakfast and good attention to no cross contamination for gluten free. And again I must mention the location and the great view over Looe harbour, stunning. We loved the stay and will certainly return when next in Looe. Everything had been thought of so very well to make it a great stay.
not a single thing
Penwyn B&B had an amazing view! The view itself was worth all the money and time that it took to get there! Looe was a cute fishing town and a little rough around the edges. All the people were really kind and helpful, as was our host Simon. He helped us navigate our way with our large rental car. The roads were super tight and narrow! Our car could have fit in the parking spot next to the B&B but we decided to leave it in a bigger area up the hill. We had a lovely time in Looe and had amazing breakfasts every morning. We swam in the sea and ate fish&chips and visited many towns like Polperro and St. Ives. Lantic Bay beach was our highlight from all the places next to Looe!
The room was a little humid and chilly during our stay because of the rainy days but we slept really well!
A beautiful cookked full english Breakfast was hot and delicious Lovely view of harbour. Very clean room. the host was very polite and friendly made me feel very welcome I had a great stay definitely visit again
Nothing everything was all good
The view was amazing!! Everything needed was provided - a bar fridge with water and milk, tea and coffee and a lovely touch with the honey slice on arrival. Simon was very welcoming and friendly 😊
Nothing not to like. We were aware of the steep hill and parking situation and not afraid of a few stairs up to our room.
The location is amazing, less than 2 minutes in to town! Lovely clean room, fantastic views from the balcony too. Simon is very welcoming and makes a lovely Cornish breakfast using local produce.
Nothing, we highly recommend it.
Excellent location, great room with a fantastic view, lovely hospitable owner, delicious breakfast, would recommend!
Walking up the hill
Spectacular views
Parking
Good location with parking. Good host and lovely breakfast. Super view over Looe.
Nothing
Myself and my husband stayed on Saturday and sunday last week, which was a gift from our children for our birthdays. Everything was amazing. Simon was a lovely host. The breakfast was exceptional. Our room was spotless, with amazing views.
The view from the room was exceptional covering the estuary and harbour area. We spent some relaxing time watching the world go by. The breakfast was freshly made by Simon the host. The location was perfect to be able to walk in to the centre of Looe.
The parking outside was limited but alternative parking a few minutes away was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable but a standard double which was a bit small for us but the room could easily take a King which would afford more comfort.
Balcony. View. Fabulous full English breakfast! Great host.
Bed a bit soft. More/better fruit at breakfast. But being picky!
Great location, lovely guesthouse,Simon the owner was very helpful and attentive.
Location location location
Breakfast was brilliant. Location great.
It is a Cornish seaside town, the streets are narrow around the accommodation, it can be intimidating for some!
Great view and tasty breakfast
Electric shower difficult to control temperature and low water pressure.
The room was spacious and clean. The rooms have uninterrupted views of the town and Harbour. Breakfast was served to order and plentiful. The property is ideally located for walking into the town and beach.
We had a wonderful time, The views and location were stunning. Simon met us when we arrived and was very welcoming ( he had also left us some tasty flapjacks),, he was going away then and so we were looked after by Oksana, who was so friendly and helpful, and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The room was clean and cosy, with everything you could ask for, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We had parking right outside the house, and despite the street being very narrow and steep, my partner was able to get his van there and parked. It felt like a real home from home, and we were sad to leave.
The only negative part was having to leave.
We liked the room, our host Simon was friendly and asked was there anything we needed etc. Very relaxed atmosphere, and we felt at home. Good value for money.
If I were to look for anything negative, it would be difficult. Maybe one downside is the steepness of the hill location. To be fair Simon did point out this to us.in advance. An easy walk to the centre of town....but several stops needed on way back.
