Location !!! most convenient to be in downtown Chiang Rai. At least 5 of my favourite restaurants in the area (Beef Noodle "Rod Yiam", Chicken Rice "Emperor" , Chinese noodles "Huy Meng", night porridge "Jor Charoenchai", Morning pork blood Soup "Saha Rod" and all kinds of souvenier shops) The famous "Singing TownClock roundabout" can be seen from the entrance of the hotel. Weekend night market is at 5 minutes walking distance. All bars & restaurant in the walking distance - and I mean 5-10 min walk. Love it !!! . Dont' forget Starbucks is at the next door. PS. Lovely and caring staffs !!! - Checked in on my Birthday and the next day got belated whole day birthday greeting staffs with complimentary Birthday Cake. How thoughtful.

The room set up. Understand the renovation of an old building. The layout might be a tad all over the places i.e. interior layout. The size of the room is very big and this is the upside for big family. The bathroom is unnecessarily roomy. However, this is only my cup of medicine. Others might find it great bargain.

Lovely comfortable suite and staff even left us an anniversary welcome cake. Excellent location next to the clock tower. Pre order for breakfast was great and staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend.

It would be lovely if the hotel had a pool/spa facility.

Posizione eccellente, soprattutto considerando il rapporto tra qualità e costo del soggiorno. L'hotel si trova su una strada principale, ma in circa 10-15 minuti a piedi si raggiungono comodamente molte delle principali attrazioni della zona, tra cui diversi templi, la Torre dell'Orologio e il Night Market. La suite che ho utilizzato era davvero molto ampia e vivibile, con spazi ben organizzati e una pulizia impeccabile. Ho apprezzato anche la dotazione di amenity kit, particolarmente completa e con praticamente tutto il necessario. Molto buona anche la colazione, con un buffet già piuttosto ricco a cui si aggiunge la possibilità di ordinare numerose pietanze à la carte preparate al momento. La scelta spazia da piatti cucinati, come uova, sandwich e altre preparazioni, fino a frutta fresca e dolci, rendendo la colazione varia e adatta a gusti diversi.

L'aspetto che ho trovato meno convincente riguarda la configurazione del bagno. È vero che dalle foto era possibile rendersene conto, quindi in questo caso è anche una questione di non averci fatto attenzione prima della prenotazione, ma la zona bagno non è separata dalla camera da alcuna porta. Il WC e la doccia sono invece dotati di porte in vetro, che però non arrivano fino al soffitto e non isolano completamente i due ambienti. Di fatto, camera e bagno risultano essere quasi un unico spazio: una soluzione esteticamente particolare, ma non ideale dal punto di vista della privacy. È presente anche una piccola palestra, ma si tratta di uno spazio piuttosto essenziale, con alcuni pesi, tapis roulant e cyclette. Va quindi considerata più come una dotazione aggiuntiva per un minimo di allenamento durante il soggiorno che come una vera palestra attrezzata.

Allora la struttura è centrale è bella ma chi ci lavora per niente. Avevano sempre il muso e poi m hanno fatto pagare 2000 bath per i lenzuoli che avevo sporcato con del sangue. Comunque loro non sono per nulla cordiali.

Good location on a Main Street near centre of town. Big, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Very nice lobby/shared spaces with small library and internal courtyard with trees for relaxing. Nice breakfast but you need to choose from a limited menu

Location is great! They have a library space for crafts with kids. The property is beautiful. The breakfast was really good. The staff are super friendly.

The room itself had stains and other gross things on the walls. There were fruit fly type bugs flying around in the room. Additionally I had to ask for the fridge to be cleaned as there was mold inside.

El Hotel es muy bonito, pero ya se nota que empiezan a descuidar el mantenimiento. Muebles un poco descuidados, paredes que les hace falta una mano de pintura, suelo que hace falta pintura, y algunos detalles mas, en realidad es poco lo que tienen que hacer, pero esos detalles harían la diferencia. La atención del personal de 10, muy profesionales y eficientes.

Es mi tercera vez en el hotel, las 2 primeras veces el hotel estaba perfecto, todos los detalles cuidados, y en esta ocasión se notó que lo han abandonado un poco, pero aun así sigue siendo bello.

Good hotel overall. Location was great. You could get to everything you need to in town by foot. Not sure you could do better in Chang Rai.

The elevator was super small and slow. Also, they had a weird system where they separated the guest room portion of the hotel away from the lobby with a sliding glass door. You needed a key card to enter. Only a minor irritant.

Great location! Beautiful tranquil setting located right by the clocktower and nightlife. The room was immaculate and big. The room was dark with the curtains drawn and little outside noise to be heard.

The "key" into the room is a pin cushion with a chip inside which is kind of annoying to carry in your pocket. I removed the chip and kept it my wallet. A card or keyring would be better. The restaurant is lovely but I would like to have seen more Thai cuisine on the breakfast menu.

Solo la recepcionista, cada ves q le pedía algo parecía molesta, no se hablar mucho inglés y se ve que no le gustaba. Al llegar el transfer que les reservé no estaba, esperé media hora y una señora de seguridad del aeropuerto les tuvo que llamar, no me ofrecieron disculpas, y me cobraron antes de hacer el check in. El día del check out esperé en el lobby, hacía mucho calor, no me ofreció esperar donde había aire acondicionado. Siempre la misma recepcionista. Gracias

Beautiful property!! Really loved the place

Hôtel très bien situé pour se rendre à pied dans les divers endroits animés le soir. Par contre, nous n'avons pas du tout apprécié le chariot de ménage ni tous ces ballots de linges laissés à la vue des clients à notre étage. C'est bien la première fois que nous voyons cela. D'un autre côté, nous étions dans une aile un peu reléguée de cet hôtel. Bof, pas top ! Le petit déjeuner doit être commandé la veille à partir d'une carte offrant 3 choix. Pas de buffet. Moyen. Déçus, c'est une première car jamais nous ne le sommes avec Booking.com.

C'était parfait. Petit dej, personnel, localisation tout était top. Chambre spacieuse et très lumineuse.

L’hôtel est très bien situé pour visiter Chiang Rai et la région. Les chambres sont très grandes et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et varié avec du bon thé et du bon café, ce qui est rare. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très discret.

I loved this quaint, friendly, homely atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and the room clean and well kept. OMG, can I start on the esthetics. On entering, it was like being in another world. Plants everywhere. Strategic seating, water... it's the place of dreams. Picture worthy.

Short and too the point. The bathroom was nice and big. But sharing the room with another person, and one I don't know as well to feel comfortable, having just glass as a separation was awkward. The bathroom door [glass] didn't shut probably, and it had what we referred to as the peep hole. Also, there was a weird opening covered by lace curtain at the end. I guess for ventilation.

I had an amazing stay with Sooknirund Hotel Chiang Rai. Bedroom was huge, clean and well designed. I even have my own espresso machine. Staff were very friendly and always greet you with a smile. They work really hard to maintain the cleanliness of the place and even changed the water in the waterfountain near the lobby area. It was such a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. The location was perfect, very near the local market, Saturday Night market, 711, restaurants, cafes and shops just a few steps away. I would definitely come back when I visit Chiang Rai again. Also, thank you to all the staff who prepared my breakfast for takeaway as I needed to leave early upon check out. What an incredible team. :) I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Chiang Rai.

The location was very good - right off a main road in the city. The rooms were clean, bright and very comfortable, and the A/C provided a welcome respite from the heat of an April day. Every day they came in and made up the rooms quickly and without prompting. Breakfast was good and service was great - the server remembered our rooms and preferences each day, making it feel very familiar. Service in general felt authentically friendly too. I would return there without hesitation.

We walked and the lobby smelled like flowers. It was so nice. The lobby was very inviting and we were very happy to see we were staying there. Our room was very spacious and had 2 beds like we requested. The bathroom area was good with the shower, toilet and sink all separated. It was easy walking distance to markets and many restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They ordered a taxi for us to go to the airport and when we told them the time of Our flight they let us know what time they would have the taxi arrive. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the Chiang Rai town right next to the clock tower where plenty of eating options can be found as well as the night market within minutes of walk. Rooms are neat and clean, beds are comfy and breakfast has sufficient items to get you started in the morning. Best thing is although the hotel location is in the town, once you are in the hotel premises, you feel amidst the nature.

There can be issue of mosquitoes entering the room if you or cleaning staff keep the room door open for long.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, which makes it easy to explore the city on foot. One of the highlights is the convenient parking area, which can accommodate several cars and makes traveling by car very comfortable. The common areas are beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by greenery, creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere throughout the stay.

However, there were a few aspects that we did not particularly like. We noticed several areas in the room where the finishing and maintenance could be improved. For example, there were visible mold stains on parts of the ceiling, possibly caused by humidity issues. In addition, the bathroom floor, especially around the corners and edges, also showed signs of mold. These details affected the overall impression of cleanliness, and we felt it was necessary to deduct some points for this aspect. Another concerning issue was the presence of a very large wooden crate placed in the common area near the elevator. In our view, this could pose a potential safety risk to guests, particularly in the event of an emergency or any unexpected situation. We hope the management will address these matters to ensure a safer and more comfortable stay for future guests.
