Very bad service. Served burned sausage and asked for replacement. New batch delivered after everyone else had finished eating - at least 10 -15 minutes after requested.
Centrally located to downtown attractions and restaurants. Staff was hospitable and professional.
Beautiful facilities, helpful friendly staff, breakfast was great. Comfortable beds.
Location, friendly & helpful staff, comfortable bed and bath.

Perfect location, wonderful staff, clean, quiet
Nothing really
Stayed here (July 24-26) for a birthday celebration and I just love this hotel! It was my first time staying at a Kimpton. It had a cozy vibe that felt boutique-y. The whole hotel seems to have just what you need and not a bunch of stuff you don't. For example, they don't have coffee makers in the room. Great! I don't use them anyway because it usually tastes yucky and how do you know it's clean. Instead, they offer free coffee in the lobby every morning til 11 am. They also have a free happy hour in the lobby in the evenings. The room had a ton of hangers and closet/storage space. On weekends, breakfast is served until NOON! Fabulous! Check out on Sunday was NOON! Love that! They have reverse osmosis water stations on every floor instead of giving you bottled water. The breakfast was from a menu, not a buffet, so my husband and I could share an order instead of paying for 2 buffets with a lot of food we wouldn't eat. I don't mind buffets but this was a nice change that I found I really liked. The staff were engaging and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom lights have dimmers, making the middle-of-the-night bathroom run(s) better without having to turn on a bright light. There was a mini fridge but it was a good-sized one with a glass front (I don't know why but just seems nicer). The bed was very comfortable and I slept better than I usually sleep in a hotel. They simply have done a great job of knowing the nice, smaller -- sometimes subtle -- touches that really make your stay better and more comfortable. I'm a fan!! It checked all the boxes for me and I will consider Kimpton hotels from now on when we travel.
Outstanding location in the center of downtown. Short walk to shops and excellent restaurants. Friendly staff. Restaurant voucher instead of free breakfast is a great idea. The social hour was fun and much appreciated
Hotel is pet friendly and sadly some dog owners do not have control of their dogs. Barking at night and in the bar was very annoying. Staff didn't seem to know what to do about it when people complained about the horrible noise.
The extra “guest services fee”feels sneaky and gross.
This is the best hotel ever!!!!!!
Everything is great!
Location! Cleanliness! Friendly staff! Lovely room with a mountain view!
Clean great location nice rooms helpful staff
Everything was very expensive
We had an awesome stay here. Great from start to finish. The valet team is great - very friendly and helpful. Adam at the front desk was so friendly and had helpful suggestions for gluten-free food in the area. We even had a surprise room upgrade that was amazing! They even had a treat bag for our little dog. We will definitely be staying here our next time in Asheville.
Berry, the receptionist, was incredibly kind, not just because he upgraded our room to a suite. I really felt he welcomed us and genuinely cared about our hotel experience. The room was spotless and proudly displayed the Kimpton signature, unlike typical cookie-cutter chains. Each floor had a Reverse Osmosis water purifier, so I didn’t have to rely on plastic water bottles. They also offered coffee in the lobby every morning(so there is no coffee machine in the room), and there was a reception on the lobby floor in the evening too. The breakfast was both affordable and delicious (the potatoes were the best!), and the service was outstanding. This was my second visit, and I’m definitely planning to return in the future.
Been here several times seeing family. Probably the best place in Ashville. Rooms are great, so is the location. What is special is the common areas one 1 side is the bar and on the opposite side is the restaurant District42. Many places to hang with family. Outdoor seating with really great fireplaces for crowd watching. There is a really cool guy working the front desk- barry. I never caught his last name but he made us feel welcome and special. Yes, i am going back in 2-3 months to see my -in -laws. I won't stay anywhere else
Everything, that’s why we stayed there again.
There was nothing we dislike.th
Heartfelt Thanks for an Exceptional Stay at Hotel Arras Dear Joseph Morris I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you, and Barry at check-in, Erin at breakfast, the valet team, and everyone at Kimpton Hotel Arras for what truly became one of the most delightful hotel experiences our family has ever had. From the moment we arrived, every single person we encountered delivered genuine five-star-plus service. Barry made check-in smooth and welcoming, and Joseph, your personal kindness in coming out front to check in to greet us and help resolve concerns regarding the extra overnight room for family members who ultimately could not attend meant more than I can say. Your professionalism and care turned what could have been stressful into something completely handled with grace and warmth. What impressed us so much was the consistent attentiveness from the entire staff. The text communication system was incredible — checking in on us, answering questions quickly, and making us feel cared for every step of the way. It felt personal, thoughtful, and seamless. Our breakfast experience was absolutely outstanding. Erin, our waitress, was remarkably experienced, charming, and genuinely engaging. Not only was the food exceptional, but she gave us wonderful insider tips for Asheville as well as our next stop in Charleston. She made the entire morning memorable. And the accommodations themselves — simply divine. The bedding was luxurious beyond words: beautiful high-end sheets, cloud-like mattresses with the perfect balance of softness and support, and a room that felt peaceful and elegant in every detail. The towels, shampoos, scents, and room ambience were all so carefully curated and delightful. Then there was the view. Looking out at the Blue Ridge Mountains through the floor-to-ceiling windows created such a calming and magical atmosphere. It truly elevated the entire stay and allowed us to fully enjoy the beauty of Asheville. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our time at Hotel Arras. Every detail reflected care, hospitality, comfort, and excellence. Thank you again, Joseph, for your kindness and leadership, and please extend our gratitude to Barry, Erin, the valet staff, and everyone who made our stay so special. We will absolutely recommend Kimpton Hotel Arras to others and hope to return again soon. With heartfelt appreciation, MaryEllen W
Loved this hotel! Quiet, clean, classy lobby and bar. Fabulous location. Friendly, accessible staff, and tasty breakfast! And dog friendly!
Loved everything!
Perfectly located to “walk “ Downtown Asheville , w/ quick valet access to your car when needed .
Finding this a hard question
We stayed at this Kimpton early April on a visit to Asheville. This is the second Kimpton we have tried (New Orleans was our first). We were taken aback on how great this hotel is. The Guest Relations/Concierge team was great. We ended up using guidance from Adam who was fantastic! Any employee we made contact with made us feel like they really cared. The nightly reception was always enjoyable. Their location to fantastic restaurants, galleries, stores could not be beat. We could walk to any venue that interested us. Valet parking was convenient so going exploring that needed a car was simple. We will definitely return to this hotel anytime we come back to the Asheville area.
Location and attention to detail
Great team! Nice amenities for breakfast and cocktail hour.
The hotel check in gentleman’s do exceptionally nice. The room was lovely. The valet guy was so nice and helpful
Beautiful room and I like the idea of the key outside the elevators.
This is a very modern and beautiful hotel in downtown Asheville. The staff there was great and very friendly. Loved our stay
We had stayed at the hotel last year, the reception manager remembered us and as a courtesy for returning, he upgraded us to a higher floor.
Book this hotel and you won’t regret. It’s the first time stay at Kimpton hotel and was the perfect choice. Location is unbeatable. Service is impeccable. Room is well appointed. Food is spectacular. Staff are eager to create memorable stay starting from the moment you step into the hotel. Lobby is clean and feels cozy. Nicole provided great service. Check in process was a breeze with the highlight of upgrade to a suite for the special weekend. Nicole was friendly, poised and knowledgeable. Elite recognition was good. We got breakfast coupon and a goodie bag with chocolate. Don’t forget to mention Kimpton password at checkin and ask for amenity coupon (we didn’t get at checkin.) Room is spacious, clean, cozy, beautiful and has great view. There’s no coffee maker in the room. Every morning you can get a cup of coffee of tea until 11 am at lobby. Love ice pack in the communal refrigerator in front of room x16 too. Very thoughtful and sanitary. It’s very tough to say goodbye to the room. We chose breakfast as welcome amenity choice. The coupon allows you to choose one entree and soft drinks plus gratuity is included. Breakfast was the highlight of the day. It’s very very very good and the service was very very great. Ordered French toast, burrito, omelette! Orange juice is fresh and tasty. Cappuccino and latte are as great. Dinner was awesome. Try Halloumi salad and you won’t regret it. We also ordered lamb gyro and smash burger happy hour set. They are all very good. Throughout the stay staff always wanted to help and resolved the issue. We were very pleased and this Kimpton becomes favorite hotel. Thank you.
Clean and Modern.

Service, food quality was great
Great location, friendly staff from reception to valet parking attendants to food service. Very clean. Comfortable bedding. Loved the outdoor patio with propane heaters to enjoy the cool evening.
N/A
We have stayed in Asheville a number of times, but this was the first hotel we booked that was downtown and we liked everything about the Kimpton! Check in was great - Barry was exceptional - explaining everything (including the elevators), directing us to the valet and looked us up as IHG members. Our room was a corner space on a top floor overlooking mountains (and some city views). It was beautiful and spacious and clean. We had an issue with the TV and once notified, there was a tech within a few minutes to fix. Service for breakfast was great as well. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Beautiful hotel and really great location in the heart of Asheville. Very friendly front desk attendant, Barry. When we arrived we walked into a "puptography" event which was hectic but we managed to get checked in quickly. Get some instruction on how to work the elevator. When we arrived in the room the comforter was very dirty so we had it changed out, which was done very quickly. Otherwise a nice, clean, and comfortable room.
Beautiful hotel
Nothing
Quiet
Would like a microwave in my room
Very clean. Excellent location, walking distance from many attractions. Friendly and helpful staff.
My only complaint was a bit of confusion with the vallet service, especially when arriving. The vallet manager told me to park behind a car that was backing out and complained when I moved my car out of their way. The process for leaving a car was a bit unorganized.
Location is excellent and I love the artwork throughout the hotel. Room 504: lock safe did not work, clock was not set and I was unable to get it to work, black out drapery did not close 100% to keep out morning light, hard surface floors were NOT clean.
Room 504: lock safe did not work, clock was not set and I was unable to get it to work, black out drapery did not close 100% to keep out morning light, hard surface floors were NOT clean. I reported all this upon checking out in hopes that I might be given free parking or SOMETHING but front desk worked did not seem at all sympathetic. I was also not made aware that I could have requested my car be parked in the upper courtyard.
Check-in was super easy and the staff were so kind! They even had a goodie bag for our two pups. Everyone went above and beyond we’ll definitely be coming back
It was STUNNING and SO clean!!!! The staff were amazing. They upgraded our room for our honeymoon!!! It was perfect.
Literally nothing
Dog friendly
Couldn’t find a handicap ramp out front for dog stroller.
Security, very clean, food options, location.
The check out valet parking person in charge in the morning was not as kind as the other at night.
We had the best experience at this hotel and one of the best stays ever. They went out of their way to make us feel special for our anniversary. We had the suite with mountain view and definitely worth it. The amenities were awesome and room was so cool with so many luxurious appointments. Can’t recommend enough.
We recently stayed at this hotel for our anniversary, and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment I first reached out via email with questions before our visit, the staff demonstrated exceptional attentiveness. When I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, they took note and surprised us with a thoughtful gift in our room upon arrival—such a lovely and personal touch that made our stay feel truly special. The location was absolutely perfect, with many sites and stores within easy walking distance. This made exploring the area convenient and enjoyable, allowing us to make the most of our anniversary getaway. Throughout our stay, every team member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The valet service was impressively fast and efficient, making arrivals and departures effortless. Both on-site restaurants served delicious food with attentive service, and we especially appreciated the daily dining coupons provided for these restaurants—a generous perk that enhanced our experience. Our room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. The thoughtful amenities stood out, particularly the reverse osmosis water and sealed bags of ice available on each floor—small details that made a big difference in convenience and comfort. The express elevators were another standout feature, making navigation through the hotel quick and easy. This hotel clearly prioritizes guest experience in every detail. We felt pampered, valued, and well-cared-for throughout our anniversary celebration. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning!
The hotel staff are all helpful, the hotel location is perfect for walking to restaurants and interesting shops. It’s clean! The street noise can be heard even 9 floors up but hotel noise it self is minimal. No coffee in the room but great coffee in the lobby. We enjoy our stay here and look forward to future visits. Thank you to all the staff.
Clean, gorgeous lobby, friendly staff
Didn't have breakfast
too many dogs in all areas. Love the dogs but I'm allergic.
Great location, room and friendly staff. Enjoyed the restaurant food as well.
Lovely hotel with nice furnishings but street noise, poor soundproofing and bad Air Con make it underwhelming. The street noise is the biggest problem at this hotel. They have terrible soundproofing so you hear everything outside and it’s right next to a fire station with sirens all night. Don’t expect to get a good nights sleep even if the rooms are lovely. The other issue is the Air Conditioning simply doesn’t work properly. It wouldn’t cool the rooms below 70 degrees the whole time even after an engineer visit. I generally prefer a cooler room to get good sleep so this kinda ruined it.
Excellent staff , breakfast fantastic
Centrally located
I wish there was a coffee maker in the room without having to ask
Amazing staff, room was immaculate and cozy
We love this hotel. It’s perfectly located in downtown Ashville and feels luxurious.
Very nice
We have stayed at the Charlottesville’s and Asheville Kimpton Hotel. Both properties and staff have been excellent. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The only area that could use an update is the exercise room. Both properties had broken equipment. They could use a regular recumbent or upright exercise bike too
Hotel website says soundproof rooms...they are not..not even close
Great vibe - loved all the dog guests!
Clean, well designed ADA room. Restaurant menu very limited and expensive. Parking also too expensive
The hotel service was amazing, very clean and everyone was extremely friendly. It was within walking distance to any shop we needed as well. Would definitely stay here again when we come to Asheville.
The staff. Could not have been nicer and more helpful.
We just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Asheville and the Kimpton went above and beyond to make us feel special. From restaurant recommendations to the friendly service to helping me arrange for flowers in our room. Plus they made sure we had a great view from our room and wrote a wonderful note and gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly that we saved for our actual anniversary to have a toast. Bravo, Kimpton! Thank you for making us feel special and helping us celebrate.
Being the the heart of Asheville, we could walk to everything. We didn't touch our car after arriving. Lots of things happening in downtown. Love Asheville.
Beautiful hotel!
Clean, sleek and elegant
This was my first stay at a Kimpton hotel in the U.S., and I absolutely loved it. I brought my two dogs along, and honestly, I was nervous at first. We never travel with dogs and usually avoid pet-friendly hotels. But this property is truly dog friendly. I don’t know how they manage to keep everything so clean and fresh with so many pets around, but they do! The hotel itself was beautiful, just as you’d expect from a Kimpton, and the staff were exceptional. I also had the pleasure of chatting with the General Manager, David, and I have to say, he’s doing a fantastic job running this hotel.
Need more outlets for electronics. Need better lighting. Lighting too dim.
Lovely hotel and lovely people
Room was great, but front desk guy on the morning of September 16, 2025 is a real piece of work and needs to be trained in customer service. Went downstairs to request toilet paper and his rude response was “housekeeping handles this”. Well I don’t know or care who handles it, or how to contact housekeeping, I just need my toilet paper. A better response would have been “No problem, I’ll call housekeeping to get this for you, what’s your room number?” I waited at least 15 minutes and had to make another call to the front desk before toilet paper arrived. Can this hotel keep some TP at the front desk like some other hotels do?
The staff were very welcoming and helpful at every turn. The room was wonderful with a very comfortable bed!
Everything and everyone was amazing thank you so much
Our 2nd time here. It's right in the heart of everything and you can walk to all the best restaurants. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is off the charts. Everything is made in house, try the yogurt with agave and fresh fruit if you want to have your mind blown. The rooms themselves are exceptional and last but not least, the gym is equipped with every toy you've ever dreamed of. Definite must stay in Asheville.
No coffee in room! Must for coffee or tea any time after their “morning service” closes downstairs. Not sure what to make of $32 a night for parking, but it is what it is.
Great stay. Clean room, comfortable bed. Check in/out was quick and easy.
The staff was very friendly. Parking is pricey, but you get what you pay for, very convenient. Overall, we loved our stay at this hotel.
Lovely staff and lovely property!
Lovely space!!
Room size, bedding, location, good shower, fabulous view, chic design
Valet parking staff were not welcoming nor helpful
Another excellent stay at Kimpton Arras. Our 2 dogs and wife & I enjoyed our anniversary here at a great hotel with great staff (thank you for the anniversary gifts) at a great location - highly recommended!
