A modern hotel right in the city centre. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly, especially those in the café.

Only one lift was working, which made getting between floors very slow.

Extremely rude housekeeping staff. Incredibly loud techno music blasting by the pool (with a live DJ). The hotel allows local people to buy a day pass to the pool so the DJs had a bunch of friends there and they were all drinking and vaping in the pool, yelling, cussing, etc. The DJ's music was so loud you had to yell to talk to the person next to you (middle of the day on a Sunday) and blasting songs with the F word and N word and there were families with little kids. Many people came to the pool and left because it was so horrible. Everything was overpriced. We have stayed at this location many times and it has always been great before this.

Great pet friendly hotel in central downtown location. Walking distance to downtown attractions, restaurants and breweries/pub. Reasonably priced with onsite garage parking for $17 per day. Recommend room 603 - spacious top floor corner room with awesome views. Only complaint is the room doors are extremely heavy and loudly slam shut if you are not careful - unfortunately most guests around us didn’t take care to gently close the door and would set off a barking contest from dogs down the hallway. I don’t blame the pups but the inconsiderate humans. Cody at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were great. Will stay again if in Asheville with a pet.

Clean, fun, hip hotel in the middle of all of the downtown Asheville action. We loved the pool deck and front patio. Service was great and the room was comfortable.

Supposed to be pet friendly - NOT! You are not supposed to leave your dogs alone in the room - so we traveled to Asheville to stay in the room??? Walk in the rain to take them out 2 blocks away, not fun. The room itself was shabby, broken drawer, holes in blackout curtains. The worst toilet paper ever. Definitely would not recommend this place to stay.

Property and rooms are well kept! Garage is easy and convenient. Walk around downtown to everything easily from property! 3rd time we have stayed here and enjoyed our stays everytime.

My review is solely regarding mine & my husband’s experience over the past 3 summers of being locals who purchase pool passes for the day, which finally came to a head yesterday. I would absolutely not recommend for any locals to utilize the day pool pass option unless they want to be splashed constantly by children jumping in right beside them, having your book you’re reading soaked, & possibly even hit in the face with a ball that kids are throwing to their parents & each other from one end of the pool to the other. The parents/guardians have zero regard for any other guests enjoying their time there, & the hotel staff do nothing to regulate this. This has been a minor issue on & off over the past 3 summers we’ve been coming out here, but can absolutely say it has gotten much worse after we were being splashed on & off for several hours by unruly children yesterday, one splash soaked my husband’s book he was reading not too long before I was hit in the face with a ball being thrown across the entire length of the pool, to which we immediately took our things & left. This hotel really shouldn’t sell pool passes to the public with the only pool they have being extremely small as well as having no designated kids only area or anything like that. They simply do not have the space to accommodate this. Being a family-friendly hotel that also sells pool passes to non hotel guests, I would think they would be more accommodating. The staff were very apologetic about what happened & my husband & I appreciated the refund (although I am of the mindset you address the root cause of an issue instead of just throwing money back at people), but in this situation, it was much appreciated as we barely enjoyed our time there at all & nowhere near got our money’s worth out of the day. We have been looking forward to purchasing the summer pool pass when they become available this summer, but unfortunately that will not be happening & we will never be back.

Staff were not helpful in suggesting restaurants or helpful re booking hop on hop off or suggestions on how to get to Biltmore since we had no car. We were okay using our phones but you guys did say in your welcome email that the staff would be helpful in that regard, Hotel was stark with it's cement floors and XYZ lounge was empty every night. The outside area was cruddy outside the lobby.

The only thing that bothered us about our entire stay was the fact that the alarm clock had been set to 6am by a previous guest and had not been turned off prior to our stay. However, it alarm itself was a lovely strumming guitar so it wasn't so bad.

This is a beautiful hotel and the perfect location! It is very dog friendly. In fact they have a little dog station. The bar and lounge area is very roomy and cozy. I ordered food from the bar and it was very good. They have a little cheese cake flight. Beautiful views from your room. Lots of space on the patio for eating or hanging out. The swimming pool is very large. I highly recommend this place.

Nice hotel with a great vibe and perfect location. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again, but I'd avoid "city view" rooms. The problem was the noise. The "city view" rooms get a ton of vehicle noise all night. Cars with loud exhausts and loud music at night, then trucks in the pre-dawn. Inside I could hear people in neighboring rooms who were not being loud, and dogs barking. And watch for dog poop around the pool - not everyone cleans up like they should.

Comfortable room and great location

Seemed understaffed , one person to handle checkin, snack purchases, answer questions… Fire alarm was set off twice (not their fault) due to smoke in garage. 2am and 5 am. We had to wait outside freezing in PJs till Firefighters gave an all clear. Then it happened again at 5 am. Even though it was possibly no one’s fault, none of the staff reached out to acknowledge the guests’ difficulties.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Aloft Asheville Downtown, though there were a couple of notable disruptions during our visit. To begin with the highlights, the property boasts an exceptional location—perfectly situated within walking distance of an array of vibrant restaurants and entertainment venues. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained, from the guest rooms to the second-floor recreational spaces, all of which were clean and inviting. The ambiance throughout the hotel was pleasantly upbeat, with fellow guests contributing to an overall positive and relaxed atmosphere. The staff, from the bar to the front desk, were consistently cordial and accommodating. The bar area, in particular, stood out as a lively and enjoyable space. I was initially surprised by the number of dogs on the property, but it proved to be a non-issue, as the environment remained undisturbed—something I greatly appreciated. That said, there were a few inconveniences worth noting. Over the course of our three-night stay, the fire alarm was activated four times, including three separate occurrences during our final night (at approximately 1 AM, 5 AM, and 7 AM), each requiring a full evacuation. While I understand that such matters can be outside of the hotel’s immediate control, it was nonetheless disruptive to our overall experience. Additionally, I would strongly encourage future guests to be especially mindful of securing their personal belongings. While I won’t elaborate, I will simply say—exercise caution and take the necessary precautions. Parking in the garage can be somewhat tight, requiring careful navigation, but the pricing is quite reasonable compared to the often exorbitant valet fees found elsewhere. The pool was out of season during our visit, which was understandable given the weather. Despite the aforementioned issues, we would absolutely consider staying here again due to the prime location, welcoming atmosphere, and overall quality of the accommodations.

The front desk team was so polite and friendly. I really enjoyed my breakfast meal included with my room the notorious meal was delicious 😋 and a friendly staff member there was really nice and polite while serving my coffee.

We travel to Asheville multiple times a year and this was our first stay at the Aloft. We chose this hotel because the location was within walking distance of the concert venue we were going to on NYE. If you stay here, we hope you have a better experience. The Pro's: - Location, Location, Location The Con's: - Water pressure from the shower was akin to trying to shower in a light rain. The showerhead had no adjustments and was mounted oddly high on the wall making the lack of pressure all the worse (my wife and I are both close to 6' tall). We had to fill the ice bucket from the room with water from the bathroom sink multiple times just to rinse off the shampoo and soap. - As for the bathroom sink, we noticed the water coming from it had a foul odor yet the water from the shower smelled fine. I unscrewed the filter from the end of the sink faucet and found the inside covered in an unknown black material. Once I cleaned that thoroughly the odor disappeared. Pictures attached if you're interested. - Every towel provided to us was torn, worn thin, tattered, frayed or a combination of all the above. - We did not ask for housekeeping but instead only requested 2 complete sets of clean towels during our stay...we received 2 bath towels, 3 hand towels, and 0 washcloths. - The window shade on one of our windows was torn and off its track (until I was able to fix it) such that the morning sun would shine brightly into the room. - As noted, we did not request housekeeping during our stay and kept the "do not disturb" hanger on our door the whole time. One evening we returned to the room to find new bottles of shower gel and shampoo in our room. We called down to the front desk to let them know this and that we were not at all happy that staff entered our room both unrequested and with the do not disturb hanger on the door. They apologized but it was clearly much more of concern to us as guests than to the person working the front desk. We count on Trip Advisor for reviews wherever we travel and hope sharing our experience at this Aloft helps others when deciding where to stay in Asheville. There are many choices for lodging there and we'll definitely be making a different choice for our future visits. Safe, fun travels to all!

HUGE room thermostat problem that remained unresolved after three in room visits by two different maintenance workers . Room so cold I was unable to sleep. No response or resolution offered even though hotel was less than 60% occupied. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PROPERTY.

We checked into the hotel on saturday after staying at the AC hotel, which lost water moving to the aloft.Hotel upon arriving to the front lobby guest services was okay. Checked in to room after checking in, we had to move to the top floor people left their dogs in the room barking. Woke up this morning, went downstairs to get coffee and breakfast. I noticed in the shower, the shower gel was empty.The iron needs replacing. Expected more from this hotel. Parking can be quite tight in the garage. Make sure you lock your car when leaving people walk around the garage, watching. When we had to change rooms to 6th floor the front desk was not as happy as when we checked in. I guess they don't want to be bothered. Parking additional 17.00. Near by places to eat.

Aloft was awesome! It was perfectly located to walk the city. We also brought bikes and rode to the Art District. The food in the area was great. The views of the mountains were beautiful and romantic from the room and on the rooftop! We had an amazing birthday vacay.

For over $500 I expected better. The online photo’s are misleading. Lobby furniture was filthy. Room doors were so heavy we struggled to open. Shower door led to water all over. The adjoining corner in our room had mold they tried to cover. Mini pool table was dirty and torn. Good location is all it had going for it.

First, staff were phenomenal! They did everything they could to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect & the hotel was very clean. Highly recommend!

Having to get a luggage cart from first floor to go to garage/car, then to room, then return cart back to first floor. And reverse on check out. Terrible for older people. Only one electrical outlet under desk between beds for chargers and other devices. Terrible, but worse for older customers.

The location downtown is perfect! They have a cute wine bar located in the rear of the building. Easy to walk to most places. A few times took the car to farther areas like Biltmore Village, West Asheville and wineries outside of town.The parking garage is very convenient to get in and out of.

Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. I'd like to give a special shout out to Bethany at the front desk who helped me with an issue that arose due to my using an outside booking company. She was great!

This was one of the best stays i have had in a long time. The room was wonderful and the staff and accommodations were excellent! Thank you for making our stay in Asheville comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable!

Clean and friendly

The hotel is beautiful and in a good location with easy parking. When we got to our room there were a lot of crumbs on the window sill and the shampoo in the shower was empty. Our first day there was a fire alarm. When we tried to exit the building there was a homeless man asleep infront of the door which delayed our exit. The second day the landline phone started beeping at 4:30am. The cordless receiver was not charging. I checked all connections and plugs and could not get the beeping to stop. There were a few things that could be approved upon and I really wish I could have given 5 stars.

Loved this Aloft!! Stylish, cool decor and layout, lovely rooftop outdoor pool was a major bonus! Good snack shop/cafe counter, great location and loved the upstairs patio overlooking Biltmore Ave-felt like we were in the best part of town, and we really loved our hotel stay!!

Always one of our favorite properties in Asheville! Located close to everything and everyone we met who works there was super-nice. Rooms are very comfortable with great showers. Stay here and be happy!
