The location was great distance to a lot of restaurants, parks and sightseeing places.

It's not a bad thing. But it would be nice to have a fridge in the room

Hôtel proche d'arrêts de bus, ce qui est bien. Parking intérieur pratique mais onéreux (50$/nuit). Le personnel très sympa et accueillant. Hôtel calme.

Pas de salle pour le petit déjeuner qui est à minima, on devait le prendre dans la cour sans protection contre les intempéries. Chambres et salle de bain petites et vieillotte qui auraient besoin d'un rafraîchissement.

Das Zimmer war extrem laut. Sowohl innerhalb des Hotels (Fehlböden; dünne Wände), als auch von außen, da die Außenwände auch sehr dünn waren. Es war unmöglich, zu schlafen. Wir sind nach einer Nacht ausgezogen.

Tiene un patio interno muy agradable junto a la piscina con mesas para jugar y comer. La gente de la recepcion muy amable y siempre dispuesta a asesorar

Nous avons tous aimé sauf la piscine qui est vraiment sur la route. L'ambiance est très bonne et le personnel très agréable.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage in einer schönen Gegend. Das Personal ist außergewöhlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einen Parkplatz, allerdings nicht genug Plätze für alle - wenn man spät kommt, kann es sein, dass man auf der Straße einen Platz suchen muss. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, allerdings sollte man eine Haube und eine Jacke mitnehmen - die Tische sind im Freien. Was grundsätzlich eine nette Atmosphäre macht, aber eben manchmal etwas frisch ist. Die Zimmer sind sauber, allerdings in die Jahre gekommen.

The staff were fabulous. Simple breakfast but the quality of what was on offer was excellent - special call out for the pastries. Kids had a great time.

Very helpful staff, Ricky and Carl were so nice and gave loads of advice on places to see and things to do. The free use of the cruiser bikes was a highlight, we cycled to the Golden Gate bridge and took some great photos. And the heated pool was very welcome at the end of a long day sightseeing

Cute decor, very friendly and helpful staff, centrally located, nice amenities including coffee and water at all times. Swimming pool was great for my family.

My only complaint was there were no black out curtains but the staff is already aware.

The breakfast was really good & there were drinks and snacks at other times of day. There were nice places to eat and good transport nearby. The room was clean and the main bed was really comfy. There was a lovely seating area outside and games to play.

The room was slightly squished with bed settee and fold out bed but good value for a family of five that I couldn't find elsewhere.

We liked the location. The room and bathroom was clean. Staff in the morning and evening were friendly. Liked how you can drive through the hotel to park. Liked having security there - during the 4th of July.

There should be mini fridges in the room. We assumed there would be and we had to put all our food and drinks on ice while in the room, not convenient. The mattress is pretty warn down and definitely needs a new one. I felt like I was falling off and way too soft.

Der Innenhof des Hotels ist sehr schön und ruhig. Wir konnten da frühstücken oder am Abend das Ende des Tages geniessen. Auch das Frühstück war gut.

Booked two rooms. One was great (second floor). One was not (first floor). Bad room had no hot water. Television worked but bad reception and the room and bathroom had no circulation (no a/c or fan).

Wir hatten einen rundum sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Del Sol. Das Hotel ist leicht zu erreichen und vermittelt durch das umzäunte Gelände ein angenehmes Gefühl von Sicherheit, da der Zutritt nur für registrierte Gäste mit einer Zugangskarte möglich ist. Die Zimmer waren sauber, gepflegt und alles war in einwandfreiem Zustand. Besonders gefallen hat uns der schöne Innenhof mit dem Swimmingpool, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und bot alles, was man für einen guten Start in den Tag benötigt. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die kostenlosen Fahrräder, mit denen wir San Francisco erkunden konnten. Das war eine tolle Möglichkeit, die Stadt auf eine entspannte Art kennenzulernen. Die Parkplätze sind zwar begrenzt, dennoch fanden wir die vorhandenen Parkmöglichkeiten praktisch. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

I hadn't realised this was a motel, being called 'hotel', but it was quite fun to experience. The bed was very comfortable and everything had been cleaned. The central area with seating is nice

The rooms are in big need of a refresh, patched ceilings and torn carpets, dated electronics, and the wetroom shower soaked the entire bathroom despite best efforts. And don't expect to sleep past 6am with the noise in the courtyard!

Simplest version of this review is that I would absolutely choose to stay at Hotel Del Sol again if I ever holiday in SF again. I enjoyed the building, the rooms & the location, and found the staff very easy to work with & talk to. --- Staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with, the beds were comfortable, TVs generously sized, bathrooms clean. It was a very comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. The central courtyard is a nice place to catch some sun while enjoying the complimentary breakfast, and the pool is clean and easy to access. The included breakfast is mostly ready to eat baked goods, without many savoury options, but its free and good enough to take the edge off before you find somewhere in the city to grab something more filling. Location gives you ample access to some key bus routes in and out of the city. I spent a lot of time catching the 28 to Golden Gate park & that ride was easy and quick. However, the restaurants in the Marina District can be a bit more expensive, so if you're more price sensitive, there may be better options, or just be prepared to do more research/travel to find something affordable. Shower pressure is a little low but not enough to cause issues. If you're coming from overseas, the included shampoo/conditioner/bathwash is serviceable but you may enjoy getting your own. There's generous storage for clothes given the size of the rooms, so you can unpack your suitcase and settle in. Rooms come with lots of accessible power outlets, and the alarm clock has a USB-C & USB-A port, so its easy to keep your devices charged. TVs have a free HDMI port and aren't locked down, so you can choose to plug in your own devices. At bigger chain hotels, this isn't always possible, so I appreciated this possibility. The free wifi is quite stable and didn't give me any issues.

The toilet in our room was dirty and had pee in it when we arrived. We found someone’s socks and garbage on the side of the bed. Dead but in the little fireplace. We paid over 300$ for one night which included a crazy fee just to park which is crazy. This room was not worth that price. The staff was very nice but the hotel room and rate in general was not worth it in my opinion.

Elevator was very slow and sometimes unresponsive. Cookies were only out 1 night :( They were great cookies! No microwave in the room so dining options were very limited. No bar fridge for keeping drinks cold over a long stay.

Bei etwas wärmeren Temperaturen kann man Pool und Innenhof super nutzen. Parken ist mit 51$/Tag für San Francisco vermutlich normal. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Das Frühstück ist lecker und umfangreich.

Die Betten sind sehr weich. Die Zimmer haben keinen Kühlschrank oder Mikrowelle, aud Nachfrage konnten wir aber ein paar Dinge an der Rezeption in den Kühlschrank packen und auch die Mikrowelle nutzen.

Staff was excellent, especially Oscar who provided wonderful information. Continental breakfast was wonderful with great, fresh pastries. We enjoyed the outside sitting area.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. I loved the outdoors firepit, heaters and chairs with blankets. They had corn hole to play, plus bikes to rent if you wanted. It was extremely clean and comfortable in the room. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Definitely booking here again.

Loved the staff and the atmosphere!! I really enjoyed playing cornhole and having the communal lounge area in the middle.

My room didn't have a mini fridge, though I enjoyed there was an ice machine and ice bucket.

Pas de ménage dans le chambres sauf si une demande est faite la veille à la réception. Par exemple il n'est pas possible de prévoir un passage en chambre en demandant le matin à la réception, ce ne sera que le lendemain.

Not much fully gluten free choice for breakfast. I had a reaction to the ‘gluten free’ muffin. Lots of truly GF food available in shops so no good reason for not providing a choice for Coeliacs.
