Clean and comfortable
Room door didn’t seal well so hallway noise is loud
The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Spoke with hotel for shuttle service from airport. They said they put us down for the 2pm shuttle, which was over an hour after our flight. So we waited and then met shuttle, where they said they didn't have room for us. If we wanted to wait 30-45 mins they would be back for us. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the airport shuttle. We ended up ubering. Which we could have done an hour earlier had we known. I had spoken with the hotel in person twice about shuttle service. So very disappointed. No apology or compensation offered.
Beautiful suite! Nice staff, great bartender Synnave, easy parking via valets.
Didn't get the room I paid extra for. Took staff 3 times to get us into a room. I had ten to twenty friends join on their own rooms. A big majority of them also had issues with getting a wrong room or something wrong with their room.
Very nice staff, beautiful rooms and given a problem in our room we got another room without any hesitation. Much appreciated!
The location was great. It was clean and stylish.
We arranged an airport pick up. It didn’t arrive so we had to get a taxi from the airport. I tried calling the hotel several times but no answer. When we arrived to check in I asked about the pick up and was told that the valet who was working today couldn’t drive so they didn’t come. There was no communication, they had my contact details so could have called me. The lady on reception wasn’t very friendly. The room was booked for 3 adults but there were only 2 cups, 2 bottles of water.
The room was very nice and spacious. The bathrooms were clean and high quality. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains kept the light out well.
The sound in the hallways seemed to go right through the walls. The knobs in the shower were starting to peel paint. There also didn't seem to be any outlets by the bed for charging phones.
I had an amazing stay! The service is exceptional, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the staff are helpful and professional. There is a fully stocked bar, full fitness center, and a great restaurant! They were very understanding for my one-day flight delay. I am truly appreciative for the upgrade suite ☺️✨️.
Close to & walkin distance to old market
The room was great, bed very comfortable. Didn't use the shower or have breakfast. It was a quick overnight for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law's bachelorette party. The only reason it didn't get a 10 is because of the parking situation. I think it is terrible to charge $25 "a day" for valet, especially when you are checking in in the evening. Street parking there sucks, but I was lucky enough to have found a meter which only cost me $4. I could see maybe $10/day, but $25 is an overcharge.
Valet parking cost
We love the ambiance of this hotel. The staff was great. And the location is perfect.
Idk we were pretty pleased with it all.
Valet left the headlights on and killed the battery Restaurant was open for breakfast but their was nobody to serve Was in a Hilton Honors floor and special needs kid next door screamed all night Staff was very unknowing of dinner menu. We went somewhere else You could not charge bar or dining to your room
The hotel staff entered and cleaned my room when I requested for them not to and they had approved. In addition, the left all my property from the room to the front lobby. Very disrespectful.
The staff was great even when their system didn't input our booking.com reservation. They were very professional and fixed it quickly.
Everthing was great
Vibe was awesome!
The women who. He led us in was like talking to a robot
Room was nice, bathroom tight but nice
Parking
Incredible staff and location!!
The shower was horrible.
The shower was horrible.
There was no valet when we arrived. Desk clerk said she could park our car for the extra $25 per night. Or we could download an app to pay the parking meter. Free parking from 9pm-9am. The hotel walls were black with black floral carpets. I did not get the Alice in Wonderland vibe. It felt like a very old hotel. Room was clean and big. Mattress felt more like a futon but was still comfortable. The windows were painted shut so they wouldn't open. I understand the reason because a guest could probably walk out onto the roof. The shower handles paint was worn off and the shower instructions were on a card in the shower. Went looking for ice for our room, found the broken 3rd floor ice machine ended up going to the front desk for ice from our 8th floor room. The staff was hit or miss. Some clerks were always there others only seen sometimes. Never seen anyone in the restaurant/bar. The door to the restaurant was usually locked so we had to walk around the corner in the heat to enter. The glass glassware in the room was a classy touch, no microwave but there was a frig. Walking distance to the riverfront and bridge and old market neighborhood. It was quiet at times felt like we were the only ones there.
Room had no furniture in suite area other than two chairs. Room had no character
The staff was extremely helpful
N/a
The room itself was nice.
The staff that greeted us spoke too fast and did not seem welcoming. She tried explaining things to us so fast.
Jeff at the front desk was awesome. He checked us in late at night, answered all of our questions, offered free parking since valet had already left, and even walked us through the garage to our floor. Unfortunately, the valet the following day was extremely rude. He seemed irritated to see us in the parking garage while we were preparing to leave and escalated the situation after I tried to explain. Maybe it hasn’t occurred to him that guests may need access to their vehicles outside of the limited hours he’s on site. He then dangerously peeled out in another guest’s car out of frustration. I would not trust him to drive my vehicle.
Location to downtown shopping
Not able to valet park a truck.
The front desk lady who checked us in was very nice, and so were our waiters, Jude & Jennifer. The food was exceptional 👌. We were located on the 7th floor, and it smelled really bad, like cigarettes, unfortunately. Also, our toilet got stopped up and it took them forever to get it rectified I had to call more than once. There was no microwave in the room only a small fridge so we couldn't bring back food. Couldn't order room service because they were short-staffed. I definitely would not stay there again. It's not a reliable place to stay vacation. .
I love the deco decor and the waiter Jude and the waitress Jennifer were so nice. Mostly all the staff I met were in good spirits , I also love the quietness
The staff was super friendly. The rooms were also clean. Valet was great.
I wish they had complimentary coffee, and a bench outside to sit.
Location was fabulous and staff was very friendly
The atmosphere and vibe of the older building. The room itself was clean. And the bartender was really sweet!
Breakfast was not included, which we knew about. But for $180 dollars a night, you’d think they would offer a breakfast. The night staff weren’t very outgoing, the front desk attendant didn’t explain much about the amenities throughout the hotel. She was very monotone, no personality and didn’t seemed thrilled to be working. But on a lighter note, the staff in the morning were absolutely amazing!
This place is nice, Its very old and art deco with a modern vibe. The room had plenty of space with several window which had curtains that blocked out the light. Temps switched and Heat and Cooling worked well. The service is well at the front desk and there is a nice restaurant I didnt try. There is a speak easy or something next door. Things were clean.
I am there for work to work and could not work because the WIFI didn't work. Service would just keep dropping. I had to walk a mile to Starbucks and then back to get online. It was not cool and I would not have stayed somewhere I could not get an internet connection. The TV has a 3rd party remote to Cox basic cable which had limited options to watch. I was not able to connect the TV to the internet to use streaming services.
This hotel is wonderful. The Art Deco influence is seen throughout the hotel. The shower was amazing. It's centrally located and across from the Orpheum theater. We were able to walk to the museums and restaurants. The staff was amazing. The bed was comfortable.
nothing
Great location for our activities. Walking distance to good restaurants
Street construction
Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff
We have had issues with our bill on 2 occasions. An overcharge which eventually got resolved. Then a charge for valet which we didn’t utilize. That charge is still on my credit card Can’t say I would stay there again. Frustrating.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was 86 degrees for the 3 nights that we were there. A maintenance guy came and tried to fix it the first night. He was in our room and pounding around in the bathroom ceiling for 2 hours. The floor was covered in water and dirt afterwards. The maintenance guy left his dirty cup in our room when he was done. His "fix" never worked and the temp never went down. We were told we were not allowed to open our windows because they were caulked shut. Thankfully someone prior to us staying in the room broke that caulk open. Our windows had to be open the entire stay. The coffee pot in the room was broken, but we were not offered a replacement. The hallways smelled like marijuana. The parking situation is horrible. The downtown noise is very loud - especially when have to sleep with your windows open. I was told management would contact me. I have reached out to them many times, but after two months, I still heard nothing.
The property was very clean. Staff very helpful.
The construction noise in the morning.
Accommodating the change to booking 24/7 reception cover. Late night check in. Comfortable bed Price Location
Nothing to dislike
Cute theme. Clean hotel.
Unfortunately late night valet worker lost our keys, we were stuck in the lobby for hours while they figured out where our keys were eventually having a lock smith make a new key for us. But it ruined our plans of exploring with so much time lost.
Spaciousness of room and value for money and close to the Orpheum.
Restaurant a little pricey
Lovely building, comfortable room, kind staff.
Much construction on the street, but this shall pass.
Nice workers got me in early cool resturaunt
It’s nice and in a cool building
I had a charge on my account that I couldn’t get off for the longest time. If I had a problem the person at the front desk was never able to help and said they’d tell the manager when they came in but when the manager came in they had no idea what was going on and the problem would never get resolved.
Location, staff, and services offerred
Street car construction outside
Great location. Super friendly staff. My first time visiting Omaha was made wonderful by the beautiful room and pleasant staff.
I didn’t have running water for my first night of the stay. The lovely staff notified me ahead of time while selecting the room. Just disappointed I traveled here at the same time as all of the downtown roadwork.
I tried to take a shower . I let the water run to see if it got hot . And it didn't . It was cold water . I paid $100.00 And not be able to take a shower . Plus you charged me an extra $100
The hotel is beautiful. It’s in within short walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and venues downtown. Friendly staff.
The hotel was great! The staff were mostly great! Although, we could tell when we walked in, they were pretty stressed because their system was down so it was a little off putting. It was loud and unorganized during that time and for the beauty of this hotel, it seems the emotions would’ve been put to the side. However, I do recognize it can be a stressful situation and we are all human! Also, this is definitely not the property’s fault but HOLY CONSTRUCTION! Every street and block in downtown Omaha is currently being worked on. There is also some directly outside of the hotel. Hopefully they get it done soon!
Cleanliness and Decor
No valet
The vibe, aesthetics and staff were fantastic!
The surrounding road construction was nicht gut, but that was just what it was and no fault of Hotel Deco.
Dingy feeling lobby. Felt like 2.5 star hotel. Wanted $60 for checking in early. My wife who’s not fussy said she wanted find a better place. Went to Indigo and it was great.
The hotel rooms are great that’s it. The hotel has nothing to offer.
I didnt like being overcharged. The hotel manager told me I wouldn’t get my money back for the extra night they charged me. Andren Hamilton stated I made the reservation through Booking.com but how was that possible when the hotel was completely booked, sold out. I was told this by the front desk staff when I did try to book an extra night. I never had the $150 incidentals fee returned to my card. Rude incompetent abusive staff. A nightmare.
Comfortable
Construction in the area made outside terrible. Not motel fault.
The architecture, the staff, everything was GREAT! We cannot wait to stay again and go to a show across the street!
The only thing if I had to complain about something is that a couple times we called the front desk there would be no answer.
Had reserved a King room and a double room (2 queens). There were no doubles left, so we ended up with three king rooms instead. Appreciated the staff’s flexibility in working this out to accommodate our family.
Unique and cute place! Location is good for going to the Old Market area and excellent for attending something at the Orpheum.
The area gets very congested during check in with people waiting for valet. While the place has an upscale boutique feel to it, some areas are looking kind of worn. Restaurant prices really high.
Beautiful building in prime location but currently surrounded by streetcar construction.
I loved the art deco design . The elevator doors were beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and lovely.
I would not recommend the restaurant. The first night we went just for dessert. Waiter was not friendly, never asked how dessert was and when I asked what the topping was, he said he didn’t know. (most servers would say they’d find out, if they didn’t know) Breakfast: The service was extremely slow and I had to ask for coffee refill, ketchup & waitress never asked how our meal was. I asked for honey and then had to remind her to bring it. We waited long time for the check and it never came. We finally left & had the meal put on our room tab.
comfortable beds, big windows, plenty of room, decor
nothing we can think of
The friendliness and extra care from the staff was just so exciting to see and by far my best hotel experience I’ve had. They were all so happy and were helping with everything, from showing us around the beautiful restaurant when they didn’t have to, they chose to do my daughter could see how beautiful it was! ❤️ The location was amazing! Now know that the city has been working on a trolley project downtown Omaha. There are some obstacles however anyone can add Google Maps and it will make getting around through all the construction very easy and convenient. I myself am a very impatient driver and get very frustrated easily in large cities, I did not feel overwhelmed once here. The valet parking was well worth the money! $25 a night and you can go in and out as many times as you’d like and we did! The drivers are excellent and very quick! Overall, I’d say this place is treating their employees very well for the kind of service and pure enjoyment from staying here. We had a 2-queen suite. I believe it was about $40-50 over standard room, but well worth it! Lots of sun and windows for good light. Beautiful views of this city and tons of extra, unexpected space!
I’m going to be completely honest, nothing I couldn’t oversee with everything else I experienced. One and only thing that was of any discomfort was the noise from the road. However, I live in a downtown setting so nothing I have not and will forever put up with maybe bring a fan or noise machine, Bluetooth speaker and don’t bicker! You are having a wonderful time in a beautiful room, in a beautiful hotel, surrounded by wonderful shopping and restaurants and museums and activities everywhere!
This hotel failed in nearly every way. Its shuttle was not available for airport pick up at a standard time – – 7:30 PM. The restaurant staff was in attentive both for a night snack and for breakfast. We left one day for other options at breakfast because there was simply no one available to serve us. The next day we had to repeatedly ask for coffee. At check-in, the person who was authorized was on break. The trainee was not authorized to check people in. The wait was 20 minutes. Upon return to our room for the second night, a note was slid under the door that water would not be available from 2 AM to 6 AM. This was due to ongoing construction in the area and was not a surprise to the hotel. It should not have been renting rooms given this inability to provide water that was not remedied at 6 AM. Hot water was never available after the initial shut off. Meanwhile, construction all night was incredibly loud right outside the hotel. It stopped about 5 AM, at which point construction began outside our room on floor seven where they were redoing the electrical. Upon leaving to check out, the floor had been deconstructed. The worker immediately entered our room to start working on the electrical there. Reception was unhelpful concerning polite complaint about the second night stay. The manager was supposedly not available. We disputed the charge with the credit card company and Expedia. Interestingly, the same person at reception who said she could not help did authorize to Expedia and call me to let me know she had done so. The dispute process took at least an hour. This hotel has potential but does not merit the good reviews that it has had in the past given its current situation. Service was poor throughout, the hotel, marginally, clean, the construction so involved that they should not be renting rooms.
We stayed for one night. The hotel was 20 minutes from The Funny Bone comedy club and had bars within walking distance. It is a beautiful building with interesting decor. The room was clean.
The shower was only cold. Would have liked a warning about construction surrounding the area on your website/google, with navigation instructions/tips. Signage out front about how the valet works would go a long way. Front desk staff not very friendly, almost mocking. All of these are temporary and fixable problems that did negatively impact our stay.
Staff was friendly
Looking forward to Omaha finishing all the endless road projects
Clean Room, shower, valet parking, helpful desk employees
The dinner in their restaurant was not very good and was hugely overpriced.
Property was clean. Staff was friendly and very inviting!
The style was really cool, the staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was large, the restaurant was good.
The pillows were overly large and uncomfortable, which is the only thing i can think of that i didn’t like.
How close it was to everything we needed. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Smells nice
The construction around it, but that had nothing to do with the hotel
I love all the aesthetics and theme of the hotel, the breakfast was not included but a very reasonable price and tasted amazing. Staff was very nice the bar had very great drinks
My only complaint would be the space under the door made it very easy to hear all the slamming shutting doors and conversations. They need bathroom vents some kind of fart fan in there for the rest of us 😂
Charles at the front desk is always awesome whenever we see him! And they upgraded our room for us which was amazing! We always stay when we come into town for shows ! Great place to stay
It was such a unique, fun and beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown with lots of fun things to do as well. The surroundings were awesome and it was just such a great atmosphere.
There was nothing that we did not like
We had stayed at this hotel prior to all of the building and road work that is going on in downtown Omaha. After driving nearly 500 miles from Denver, tired and looking for a straightforward check-in, instead we were greeted with a single lane street, tall fencing and a gravel and mud driveway. The hotel had placed no signage to indicate just how to pull in. Trying to pull up to the hotel was impossible with two cars left by guests awaiting valet to drive them off, so backing up on the street to take a second gravel/mud driveway, lead us to nose up to the main entrance. My husband got out and inquired at the desk and was informed "Just leave it there." While I was waiting in the car, a truck was trying to exit their garage, and I was in the way. I suggest (and a tip we will adhere to ever after) that you call the hotel directly if you are booking online, not just in Omaha but anywhere to inquire if it is under construction inside or out. Though they upgraded us to a suite, it didn't make up for the frat house environment at 2:30 a.m. with guys running the halls, banging on the doors and talking loudly. Finally, at 3:30 a.m., the noise stopped.
This was our third stay back here again while going to a show at Steelhouse
Not the properties fault but there’s currently construction making it more of a challenge to get in & out
Hotel itself and location were fantastic. There was just a lot of construction and took a while to figure out how to get there with streets closed. Not Hotel Deco’s fault or fixable until construction is finished.
We booked a Deluxe King Suite. It looked nothing like the photos and there was an empty room. We tried to immediately check out and they wouldn’t help us or let us talk to a manager. Additionally there is no parking except valet and the streets all around the hotel are under construction.
