We had been looking forward to this holiday for a long time, which is why we are especially disappointed with our experience. On our first night, we were given a room where the bathtub was covered with hair, which was a very unpleasant first impression. Even more frustrating, a family of birds had built a nest directly outside our room door, making it impossible for us to sleep. As a result, neither we nor our two young children (aged 2 and 4) were able to get any proper rest. The following day, I reported the issue, and the staff were very kind and helpful. They immediately offered us another room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, this room overlooks the bar, and we had to listen to loud music and the evening entertainment until 11:30 p.m. Once again, our 2- and 4-year-old children, as well as ourselves, were unable to get a good night’s sleep. I would like to emphasize that the staff, especially the colleague who assisted us, did everything they could to help, and everyone has been friendly and professional throughout our stay. However, despite their efforts, we are extremely disappointed. Considering the significant amount we paid for this holiday, we expected to be able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. Had we known in advance that we would spend both nights without being able to sleep properly, we certainly would not have chosen this hotel. In addition, the soundproofing of the rooms is very poor. Every noise from the corridor can be heard clearly, and we could also hear conversations and other sounds from the neighboring rooms, making it even more difficult to rest.

I’m sure that, in its heyday, Marbella Club was a truly beautiful and distinguished property. Sadly, our experience felt more like style over substance. For anyone looking for an elegant, tranquil and genuinely discerning hotel, this may not be the right choice. Breakfast was consistently hectic and chaotic, with the terrace struggling to accommodate guests when the hotel was at full occupancy. We appreciate that the outdoor setting and surrounding nature mean birds can occasionally make a mess. However, being shown to a table covered in bird faeces, despite paying approximately £3,000 per night, was unacceptable. Even after we highlighted it to staff, no meaningful effort was made to clean the table properly or replace the linen. The food across the property was generally good, and the pool staff were undeniably attentive. However, as the stay progressed, we found ourselves continually lowering our expectations. There was very little sense of personalised service. Rather than feeling valued as individual guests, the experience felt transactional, as though the focus was simply to move guests through as efficiently and profitably as possible. The rooms are also in need of refurbishment. On arrival, we were allocated a room below the category we had booked and paid for. Reception initially tried to explain that room categories were based on size rather than the photographs displayed online. After I produced our reservation correspondence and demonstrated that the room was incorrect, the hotel eventually acknowledged the mistake. We then waited approximately three hours while the correct room was prepared. Marbella Club may appeal to those looking for an Instagramable backdrop where they can showcase their latest luxury purchases, pay a premium and move on. However, beneath the image, we found the hotel lacking the understated elegance, refinement and genuine hospitality its reputation suggests. The sense of old-world class now feels more like a memory of a bygone era than the reality of the current guest experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful, amazing gardens, nice interiors. Good breakfast, tasty restaurants. Most of the staff is really nice and helpful, but some of them don't care at all. The concierge service is lousy, we had to remind the same question for 3 times, but still getting just a half of an answer, except for Cala: he was always fast, attentive and doing more than expected. The staff at the adult pool was also always walking the extra mile, making it the perfect place to spend time and relax. Even though it says Golf resort, the location is not the best for golfing, for its course is located 40 minutes away from the hotel by their free shuttle, which goes every 1,5-2 hours. The last shuttle goes to the hotel at 15:15, when the course closes at 18:00. It takes around 25 mins if you come with a car or take a cab. The driving range lacks any covering, it is completely exposed to the sun, with the exception of a small shed reserved for the pros. It was also hard to book a tee time, perhaps due to a tournament we weren't informed about, so you should book well in advance. Though the manager at the golf club was very nice and helpful. But the main issue of the hotel is the noise level in the rooms. There's no sound insulation at all. In the first room we thought the problem was only in our upstairs neighbours, but after the manager moved us to another room on the 1st floor (so there's no one upstairs), we still could hear everything other guests were doing: taking a shower, speaking on the phone, packing their bags, talking to the hotel staff at the door, moving the chairs (which was making really loud noise and could be easily fixed with some furniture stickers), so until they went to sleep around 1am we couldn't sleep either. To call to reception and complain didn't make sense, because these people didn't do anything extra loud, just usual things. Then at 7am the leaf blower woke us up, though it was fixed after the second time we complained about it. On our last night we got lucky and had neighbours without kids who went to bed early, so we only heard their alarm at 7am (which still wasn't the time we would prefer to wake up). Another problem at night was the bed: it's so soft you sank down by like 30cm and wherever your partner moved even a bit you could feel it on your side, which woke us up many times. The staff was trying to fix it with another mattress and extra layer, it got a bit better, but my husband's back was still hurting in the morning, even though he travels frequently and usually doesn't have this problem. For these reasons we just couldn't rest properly at night and had to cut our trip short and leave for home early to get some decent sleep before our vacation was over.

Wow. This hotel is 11/10. It’s hard to fault anything about this hotel. It’s expensive, but it’s worth every Euro! The Restaurants are all incredible, the Pools are beautiful, especially the chilled adults only garden pool. The staff are fabulous, attentive and friendly. The rooms are lovely, modern touches in old classic Spanish style low rise buildings spread throughout the vast hotel property. We stayed in a garden view suite The gardens are beautiful. This is a relaxing and incredible slice of paradise in a busy a vibrant part of Marbella. One of, if not the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

24 of us were hosted at this magnificent venue. Upon entering this establishment we knew it would be special. The ambiance, quality of food and impeccable service were exemplary. If you in Marbella or Puerto Banús this is a must for dinner but please book.

Room was a standard room with a chair… we booked a jr suite . Smoking was allowed throughout the property …quite disgusting … no special smoking areas… allowed a cigar at the table next to us during dinner. Room below is had a smoker so that was every morning smoke . We asked to be moved at check in because we were at the edge of the children’s pool and it was terribly loud . The hotel is absolutely beautiful in every way. The restaurants, cleanliness, beach, atmosphere, and especially the staff were all exceptional. Everything felt luxurious, peaceful, and perfectly maintained throughout our stay.

Honestly, there was nothing we disliked. The only small thing is that it would be even nicer if the rooms received a bit more natural sunlight during the day.

How is it possible that a 5 star hotel can NOT send a buggy to a room with a person with mobility issues.It was quite disappointing to have to call multiple times and beg for average

During my stay on sunday you host a buffet. We went there at 2pm on sunday to ask what time it stops serving, I knew 5pm it was closed but I was aware it would stop serving before then. I was told 4.30pm so we arroved at 4.17pm that afternoon and was told we were too late. Poor service in restaurants, there were a few times where items requested were forgotten. There are few dining options for those with children, only one open at a reasonable time for dinner. Nobody which we stayed last year in has much better choice. Finally there is an insect infestation in the bathroom of our room. Honestly would not recommend to friends and family.

Eine Unterkunft der Extraklasse, wunderschön begleitet von einem Service der seinesgleichen sucht. Eingebettet in einem tropischen Garten, traumhaft und verspielt sind diverse Gebäude verteilt. Das Klientel sehr gehoben wie auch der Fuhrpark.

Für Gäste, die Adults only suchen, ist das sehr kinderfreundliche Hotel eher nicht geeignet.

The staff and service are excellent. Every corner of the hotel is very clean. The architecture and landscaping are beautiful. It has a positive, uplifting atmosphere that makes you feel good. The food is also very good. The kids club is more than sufficient. We left very satisfied.

The sound insulation is poor. You can hear the next room when they take a shower. You can also hear people passing by the door.

This hotel, bars and restaurants never disappoints. Two day stay, it’s not cheap but it’s just five star from arrival to departure the service, food, surroundings and choice are outstanding and the rooms are next level serene and peaceful with every possible comfort. Some great touches like complimentary minibar and the individual toiletries from Otary are lovely… no big refillable dispensers here thank goodness ! Very classy ! No way I’ve enough words to compliment the upper pool, lower pool and patio restaurants but you will be so happy !
