La restauration n'est pas au niveau d'un 5*GL ni dans les restaurants de l'hôtel ni au petit déjeuner. Par ailleurs, le personnel n'est globalement pas sympathique et souriant (sauf les portiers !)

We booked the hotel directly with their reservation department. We gave them full information and were promised an email within 5 minutes. This never arrived so made a further phone call with the full procedure again. Again an email was promised and again this did not arrive. On arrival at the hotel they had our name and booking with no information so again we gave details. The hotel was not in any way full, and we had no problem getting a late booking. The room was excellent with great views of Teide, the swimming pool, and the gardens. The balcony was comfortable. The pool was fine in the garden but beware of slippy steps in! However, we particularly enjoyed the spa pool and meditation area. Breakfast was good with a great selection of hot and cold food, and fresh fruit. Lunch was served by the pool and was excellent on the one day we used it. There was a choice of three restaurants for dinner and as we were there for three nights we went to a different one each night. The food was very disappointing in both the Spanish and Italian restaurants and although the Chinese restaurant was a slight improvement it still disappointed. We should have been alerted by how few people were dining in each on them on any of the three nights. While we would recommend the hotel, we would say go “bed and breakfast” and go to nearby Puerto for dinner!

We have just spent a fantastic 4-nights stay at Hotel Bótanico and everything was just perfect! The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning tropical garden that is kept immaculate, a wonderful pool area and excellent food throughout our stay. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the whole staff was super well trained, kind and professional. I would especially like to give a shout out to Omar, who helped us with parking our car, carrying our baggage and showing us all the room services. He was, without a doubt, the standout member of staff we met during our holiday. Every time we saw him, he greeted us with a smile, he was always friendly, professional and approachable. He clearly takes great pride in his job and goes above and beyond to make guests feel looked after. Overall, a wonderful stay!

“Spa” didn’t have any spa facilities it was just a garden area with pool. I found the pricing was overpriced for what it was. Didn’t have a bad time but thought it was 10/10 pricing for 7/10 stay.

The most outstanding hotel in Tenerife. We have visited this hotel for a number of years and always have a fantastic time. The staff are very welcoming and always go above and beyond to meet our needs. They have great recommendations of local places to eat and visit. The spa is out of this world! We love our visits to the quiet pool and relaxing in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The kids club is great and the staff in there make the children feel welcome and engaged. We can’t wait for our next visit! See you in a few weeks! Susanna (in photo) always looks after us and makes our stay very special.

The hotel is amazing, and the staff is outdoing it to make you feel at home. Special thanks to Antonio and Adama, the valets, for their kindness and attention. And to Yaiza, from the breakfast service, who was super attentive and was always making sure we didn't lack anything. Breakfast is very good.

Just to add something to improve in the interest of the environment, the "changing the bed linen" system, that needs you to leave a flier on the pillow if you don't want them changed, is promtp to get linen changed without need. Sometimes we forgot to leave the flier on the pillow, just by mistake. I think it would be best if you revert the logic: no flier, leave the linen; flier on the pillow, change the linen.

The environments are all supremely designed for style, comfort and relaxation - rest areas, bars, restaurants, gardens, spa, courtesy bus into the port area. The original Canarian artworks throughout the hotel are exceptional.

Some of the spa features (hot spa) were not working on some days. Putting green being repaired.

The building and the gardens are beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Housekeeping was amazing. Super clean. Many facilities and activities throughout the hotel.

The spa is very run down, almost all of the rooms are broken. Staff does not know when they will be fixed. The oriental restaurant was horrible. I was ashamed to present this old frozen fish to my wife. One of the girls at breakfast was very unfriendly. Location is a while from the central area.

Nuestra estancia en El Botánico ha sido increíble, sobre todo por la gente que trabaja allí. Es un lujo encontrar un personal tan cercano. ​Queremos dar las gracias a los porteros,Antonio y Javier que fueron super atentos. También a Christian, el socorrista, por su amabilidad y por la buena conversacion que compartimos en la piscina. Y, a Pino, la jefa de recepción: gracias a su cariño y en el ckeck out , nos dimos cuenta de lo que nos habíamos perdido y nos hizo volver al hotel un ratito para verlo! Fue un gran detalle ​Aunque hay mucha gente del equipo de la que no sabemos el nombre, todos nos han tratado de maravilla Volveremos seguro.

Das Personal war stets freundlich, ausnahmslos hilfsbereit und professionell. Adama, mit seiner aufgestellten Art ist uns besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben.

A beautiful hotel which looks after it’s guests extremely well. I visited with my daughter for a week and we had a fantastic time. The hotel is very relaxing and well maintained. We appreciated the spa access as this pool area is quieter and the comfort of the sun loungers was amazing. To improve this area, however, it would have been nice if we could have ordered drinks and there were no tables so people used chairs which did not seem in keeping with the hotel. We opted for half board, which for us, was an excellent choice. We visited the Italian and Asian restaurants which were table service and had a good selection. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and it was lovely to sit outside to enjoy the food. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and respectful. The gentleman porters on the door always had a welcoming smile and nothing seemed too much trouble. Overall a lovely stay and next time I may even bring my husband!

This hotel is fantastic. We arrived after a difficult journey to a perfect welcome, great service and they had upgraded our room to a suite. Staff were lovely and really attentive. The spa and gardens were beautiful. Just so relaxing. We could not fault the place and would return in a heart beat. A proper 5 star hotel!

This hotel is exceptionally poor, not a total failure but not a 5 star. We stayed for just over 5.5 days and were disappointed by the service repeatedly. Only 2 restaurants on-site available as the one on the basement is closed for the season - no advance notice. One more is a drive away and you get 30 euros towards it if doing half board. Our phone was broken in our room and no one fixed it, we gave up in the end. We also had very inconsistent cleaning in the room and while we flagged this, it was never retified.

El servicio del hotel fue muy bueno desde el primer momento. El personal fue amable, atento y profesional, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y a resolver cualquier duda. Las instalaciones estaban limpias, cuidadas y el ambiente fue muy agradable. La atención recibida hizo que la estancia fuera cómoda y tranquila.

El servicio del personal fue de 10: amable, atento y profesional. Sin embargo, la estancia no cumplió del todo con las expectativas. No hablamos de un hotel de 5 estrellas cualquiera, sino de un 5 estrellas Gran Lujo, por lo que esperábamos un nivel superior en ciertos detalles e instalaciones. Aunque el trato fue excelente, la experiencia general dejó algo que desear para la categoría del establecimiento.

Wir hatten eine sehr stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtete Suite. Dank dem Parkettfußboden und den Teppichen fühlt man sich wie zuhause. Der Spa-Bereich ist sehr zu empfehlen. Aber auch am Hauptschwimmbecken kann man eine entspannte Zeit verbringen. Braucht man ein wenig Einsamkeit, geht man in den schön angelegten botanischen Garten und setzt sich auf die Bank. Die Restaurants im Hotel haben wir alle besucht und sind sehr zufrieden geblieben. Es ist sehr sauber und wohlfühlend eingerichtet auf dem ganzen Gelände. Die Führung des Hotels toppt in allen Bereichen! Wir haben uns wirklich erholt in diesem Urlaub. Dankeschön an das ganze Personal!

What we loved most about the hotel was the exceptional garden and outdoor area. The whole landscape was incredibly beautiful, spacious, and diverse — truly stunning. The outdoor seating areas with the elegant furniture, trees, and atmosphere were simply incredible and made the hotel feel very special.

The hotel has a truly beautiful atmosphere and must once have been absolutely magnificent. However, some parts of the property and interior are beginning to feel a little dated and could benefit from some gentle renovation and modernization. The hotel also has a wonderful spa, and we especially appreciated the warm water in the swimming pool, which made the whole experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.

Our 3rd visit to Botanico. The gardens were the highlight this year. We watched 3 Herons fish the small Coy Carp. The black swans were swimming around and the gardens were lit up at night. The Spa as always was superb 👌 Breakfast was excellent. We used the free bus to go into the town shopping. Excellent service throughout and very friendly.

Another excellent visit at this wonderful hotel.I am a regular guest ,it feels like a second home.I think it is not only one of the best in Europe but also the world .Thanks to the super team led by Lillia and Pino .I can't wait to return.

Cet hotel possède un grand jardin magnifique et un complexe Spa impressionnant (espace extérieur avec grande piscine chauffée, un grand jacuzzi avec lits et un jacuzzi classique ainsi qu'un espace intérieur avec petite piscine chauffée, un jacuzzi de taille moyenne et 3 à 4 espaces différents pour Hammam et Sauna) sans surcoût pour en profiter. Le paradis pour ceux qui recherchent une relaxation totale ! Le petit-déjeuner est excellent. Les chambres/lits sont confortables. Nous recommandons fortement la visite de l'impressionnant jardin botanique qui se trouve à 200m de l'hôtel. Parking privé et surveillé sur place gratuit

This is by far and away the best 5* hotel that we have stayed in. A wonderful oasis of calm and quality. There is absolutely nothing that I can fault the hotel on, excellent and attentive service from the moment you arrive by Harry at the door throughout the entire staff. The quality is everywhere and we were fortunate to meet the owners Wolfgang and Brigitte Kiessling who have transformed a mere "building" into such a beautiful place. Everything is just high class quality with excellent restaurants, very attentive staff and wonderful facilities. If you think you've stayed in a 5 star hotel, then you won't have done until you experience Hotel Botanico. Thank you to you all for making us so welcome and having a most relaxing break.

Viaggio molto però non ho mai visto un personale cosi accogliente, disponibile e gentile..non ricordo tutti i nomi però mi è rimasto impresso Adama per la sua accoglienza e gentilezza appena arrivati e Patricia de la recepción. Le ragazze de la SPA che puoi usufruire tutto il tempo della permanenza inclusa nel prezzo del soggiorno..hotel di una eleganza, pulizia e classe che non mai incontrato prima. Struttura bellissima e pulitissima, stanza accogliente con tutti i comfort. Zona Spa e piscina molto belle, compreso il parco curatissimo. Colazione ottima e varia.

Ristorante la parrilla pessimo … cibo immangiabile, per cliente anglosassone … un odore disgustoso in sala come si sente solo nelle zone turistiche bazzicate da inglesi. Fatto notare allo staff essendomene andato dal ristorante, ridendo e scherzando mi hanno fatto pagare ugualmente. Per un cinque stelle è inaccettabile.

La atención por parte del personal del hotel es excelente. Las vistas al Teide son excepcionales y las instalaciones del hotel están muy bien cuidadas.

El jardín, los pájaros, las obras de arte, el spa, el servicio. Antonio el portero hizo que me sintiera en casa desde el primer momento.

El estanque donde estaban los patos olía un poco a agua estancada, me llamó la atención por lo bien que huele todo el hotel. Pero el agua estaba normal y los animales se les veía muy bien cuidados.

Everything, especially the spa

Optisch sind der Garten, der Frühstücksraum (vor allem aussen) und der Spa-Bereich wunderschön..Das Essen und der Service im Restaurant Oriental haben uns hervorragend gefallen.

Wir hatten ein Superior-Zimmer mit Meerblick. Weil aus den drei Lautsprechern unerklärliche, laute Piepstöne kamen, hatten wir keine Nachtruhe. Die Receptionistin bedauerte dies und sie hoffe, dass dies beim nächsten Mal anders sei... Bereits um 8:20 Uhr begannen die Zimmermädchen, die Naxhbarzimmer zu reinigen. Dabei stellten sie den Reinigungswagen direkt vor unsere Tür. Die Zimmertüren isolieren den Schall absolut ungenügend. Entsprechend früh wurde der Aufenthalt im Bett ungemütlich. Zu guter Letzt bekamen wir im Spa keine Behandlung angeboten. Es wäre alles "fully booked". Nur: alle (wirklich alle!) Behandlungszimer waren leer. Kein einziger Masseur oder Masseurin waren zu sehen. Die Receptionistin versuchte, telefonisch Personal aufzubieten, konnte aber niemand erreichen.

Des petits déjeuners très variés, un personnel aux petits soins, un spa avec une décoration et des équipements luxueux, une vue magnifique …l’expérience parfaite de bout en bout … même au bar, dans les restaurants… cet hôtel est l’exemple même de ce qu’est la notion de service

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this Hotel, this was our 5th visit, but we never get tired of it.. I was celebrating my 60th Birthday while in Tenerife.. The hotel staff made my Birthday very special indeed.. they decorated our room and we had a wonderful meal in one of there restaurants which was excellent.. Staff can not do enough for you.. can’t wait to visit again in September

Memorable stay at this amazing beautiful hotel. This is our 5th stay at this fantastic hotel. We came for my wife’s 60th birthday. The quality of service, the standard of our room was its usual impeccable standard. We stayed in a superior Ambassador suite, which had a beautiful sea view. We stayed for a week, the standard of service and the professionalism of the staff is off the scale. This hotel is the best in Puerto del la Cruz. A special thank-you to all the bar hall staff Victor and Phil, who looked after us. Our break coincided with the Easter school holidays. Although the weather was a little unsettled, on the one day we managed to get to the pool it was a little noisy with lots of young children shouting, and running around the pool area which was slightly unsettling we hadn’t experienced that before, as when we normally come it’s very quiet. We absolutely love this hotel. It’s like a home coming every time we come back. So much so we have rebooked for late September. We can’t wait to come back.

This was an amazing hotel!!! Me and my mum stayed for a week and we had the most relaxing and peaceful stay! We arrived and Adama, one of the doorman, showed us to our room, he was so friendly and helpful and was always extremely friendly whenever we saw him. The room was amazing, it had a lovely balcony and was so clean, the cleaning staff were so efficient and it was such a nice touch when they left a chocolate at turndown service. The staff were so friendly and so helpful, the waiting staff at the oriental restaurant and the Mediterranean were so lovely and attentive. The food was unbelievable, our favourite items were the tiramisu from the Mediterranean restaurant and also the pad Thai and spring rolls from the oriental, they were absolutely delicious, you have to try them! The breakfast also was amazing it had everything you could think of, it had everything from fruit, freshly made crepes, omelettes, eggs, pastries, crème caramels and the most delicious cakes. The fresh coffee was also lovely. Me and my mum went to the spa most days and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The loungers were so comfy and it felt like you were lying on a cloud! The pool was so nice and the perfect temperature. Also the oriental gardens were so beautiful, they were so exotic and I loved all the little animals like the little turtles and the black swans and the koi fish, the gardens were perfect for a little walk around. The staff at the hotel really made it the experience it was, they were all so lovely and they made you feel so welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble! Thank you so much! We will definitely be staying here again if we are in Tenerife and we will recommend this hotel.

The grounds were spacious, the facilities (gardens, golf, pool, spa etc) were all great. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well attended.

Tout était génial : le cadre, le personnel et leurs conseils, les prestations, la nourriture, le parking gratuit. Le circuit- spa avec ses bains de vapeur différents est vraiment un plus ! La volière au petit-déjeuner est vraiment incroyable, tout comme le miel que l'on peut se servir directement depuis le cadre ! Incroyable !

We have been coming to The Hotel Botanico for many years , as have many others. In our opinion it just gets better. We are welcomed with the words “ welcome home” that welcome is from everyone, the porters, reception staff & everyone we meet, even the gardeners. That is exactly how we feel . The hotel is immaculately clean . Our room was cleaned excellently everyday. The Turn down service was excellent with beautiful handmade chocolates plenty in a gift box every night. The breakfast was everything you could wish for Mario is brilliant at making eggs, crepes. Waffles & omelettes , there is everything you could wish for. The service is excellent all with a smile & a few words. The door staff greet you with a smile every time you meet them. Reception is always helpful and obliging , nothing is too much trouble. Carlos in particularly is always on hand to help and advise. The grounds are beautifully maintained , the ground staff always speak to you, in fact every member of staff lets on & speaks. There is nothing I would or could change. The Spa is an oasis is calm & relaxation. We were there during the Storm Therese which was terrible , but we were always looked after , felt safe plus kept up to date . Will we return , Definately and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else but The Hotel Botanico .

We have just returned from another amazing stay at this lovely hotel. The holiday starts as you enter the hotel and are warmly greeted & welcomed by all. It’s difficult to know where to start, from the excellent breakfasts & Mario at the Egg Station to the wonderful food from their varied restaurants, Spanish, Thai & Italian, what a choice! The service & helpfulness from staff at reception, the concierge, waiting & bar staff, cleaners & at the pool all exceptional. The swimming pools are both excellent & the Spa facilities are a perfect place to relax with a good selection of spa amenities and bookable treatments. Our room was very comfortable & kept spotless with a turndown every night & always a chocolate treat. The grounds are a joy to walk around, especially after a leisurely breakfast sat outside with our Mimosas. We always try to make the 6.00pm drinks presentation in the bar which is different every evening & the staff presenting it so informative & interesting on how the different drinks should be made. In the past we said we wouldn’t return to the same hotel twice but ofter experiencing the Botanico this is not now the case & have been back 7 times & already looking at a return date.

Everything you’d expect with the addition of wonderful friendly staff throughout who are genuinely concerned you have everything you need.

Breakfast were absolutely delicious and so generous. Room was very well appointed with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers - not always the case in hotels. Serviced twice daily so absolutely spotless. Whilst breakfast was buffet service the three restaurants - all excellent were waiter service. All very spoiling. The spa is one of the best I have used abroad.

Nothing to dislike about the hotel, and it is just out of town on a hill, but Puerto de la Cruz is very crowded and not overly charming.

We stayed in this hotel two years ago, at which time I wrote an extensive review. So this one is shorter, but as complimentary. We returned to the Botanico hotel almost precisely 2 years after our previous visit. Nothing has changed, the hotel is still well maintained, the staff are still wonderful and cheerful, the rooms are still kept to a high standard. The garden is still lovely, the pools are warm and clean. The only thing that had changed was 'storm Teresa'. We arrived a few days after the storm had commenced and wondered how it would affect our holiday. Fortunately on the north side of the island it wasn't so bad as it was on the south. In difficult circumstances the hotel generally and staff managed the demanding situation very very well. Anything under the hotel's control was just as good as it was the first time we came here. Things outside the hotel's control like the weather was adapted to admirably by the hotel. So they get five stars because they still made the hotel a lovely place to stay under difficult circumstances. And thank you for another lovely holiday.
